The Yoga Express had arrived at Ajmer station at 8:30 PM.
"Yes, Mama, I've reached the station! Oh, you worry about me like I'm your daughter, not your son. Yes, yes, I understand, okay... yes, I'll call as soon as I arrive."
These were Nayan Shekhawat, cute, mischievous, and naive in appearance. He was 23 years old but still looked 18.
Nayan put his phone in his pocket and boarded the train.
"Coach No. S4," he said, moving forward.
When he reached S4, he saw some people sleeping and some sitting. He started looking for his seat. He found his seat, but someone was already sitting in it.
"Hey, mister!" Nayan said, snapping his fingers in front of the person engrossed in his laptop.
He looked up and saw Nayan.
This person was Chandra Singh Rathore, 28 years old, quite handsome and intelligent in appearance. He always acted wisely, but when it came to his rights, he wouldn't hesitate to retort.
Chandra looked at Nayan and said, "Yes!"
"Not 'yes', you get up from here, this seat is mine," Nayan said with a sense of entitlement.
"Perhaps you're mistaken, this is my seat," Chandra replied.
"Oh really! You saw the window seat and sat in it, claiming it as your own with such entitlement. This seat is mine, get up from here," Nayan said, gesturing for him to move with his finger.
Just then, Chandra took out his mobile from his pocket and showed it to Nayan, saying, "Look at my ticket, this seat is indeed mine."
"Oh! I have a ticket too, let me show you," Nayan said, taking out his mobile and presenting it.
Upon seeing it, Chandra smiled slightly and said to Nayan, "You should get your eyes checked, you can't tell the difference between 13 and 18!"
Hearing this, Nayan looked at his mobile, realized his mistake, and closed his eyes tightly. Then, he slowly opened them and looked at Chandra.
"This is seat number 13, child, which is mine, and your number 18 is the one by the edge over there," Chandra said, pointing to Nayan's seat with his eyes.
"What happened, brother?" Chandra's younger brother, Raj, who was sleeping on the upper berth, asked, peeking down.
This was Raj Singh Rathore, 20 years old. He was also cute and cheerful in appearance, and a bit mischievous.
"Nothing, you go back to sleep. They just had a slight misunderstanding, which has now been cleared," Chandra said, looking at Nayan, who was still standing there staring at Chandra. Then, continuing to stare, he went and sat in his seat. Raj, yawning, went back to sleep.
Nayan sat in his seat, but he didn't feel comfortable there at all. He wanted the window seat, but unfortunately, he had gotten the seat by the edge. He looked at the seat next to him, where a woman was sleeping with her child. It was night, and by that logic, Nayan should have gone to sleep in the upper berth, as that was his seat according to the sleeper booking, but he didn't want to sleep. Because he knew that if he slept once, he wouldn't be able to wake up. At home, his mother's shouting was what finally woke him up in the morning.
Nayan saw that Chandra had put his laptop away in his bag and sat back facing the window. Nayan also put his bag up and returned to his seat. He was watching Chandra, who was still sitting facing the window.
"What scenery is he looking at in this darkness?" Nayan thought to himself and made a face looking at Chandra.
Just then, Chandra got up and walked away, perhaps going to the bathroom. After he left, Nayan looked at his empty seat and jumped onto it. Nayan sat facing the window, feeling the cool breeze on his face.
"Enjoying the cool breeze."
Hearing this voice, Nayan looked and saw Chandra standing in front of him, staring at him with a cold gaze.
"Come on, get up from here," Chandra said, gesturing for him to move.
"Please let me sit here. You go and sit in my seat; I don't like it there," Nayan said with a naive expression.
"Ohhh! As if I'll attain ultimate bliss sitting there, right! Look, I'm not traveling for free on this train. I've paid for this seat too. Now, if you've got that seat, what can I do about it? Get up from here," Chandra said, this time a little more sternly.
"I'm not getting up. Do whatever you want," Nayan said defiantly.
"You're quite stubborn."
"Yes, I am."
"Then you won't get up like this."
"No." Nayan said this and turned away.
"Alright." Saying this, Chandra suddenly lifted Nayan into his lap.
"Hey! What are you doing...!!!" Nayan exclaimed, flailing his legs, but Chandra paid no attention, placed him back in his seat, and comfortably sat in his own seat. Nayan was stunned.
"What kind of person is he? How could he pick me up like this?" Nayan thought, swallowing. A completely different image of Chandra had formed in his mind.
When Chandra looked at him, Nayan, flustered, turned his face away. Chandra smiled slightly at this and closed his eyes, facing the window.
Nayan sat there for a while, but he was getting bored. He took out his mobile and saw that its battery was about to die.
"Oh shit, this is going to die too," he said, putting his mobile back in his pocket. Then he looked up at his bag.
"I'll watch a movie on the laptop, the night will pass," he thought and got up to take out his laptop from his bag. As soon as he opened the zipper of his bag, his gaze fell on Chandra, who was sleeping nearby, still facing the window.
"He'll sleep while sitting, but he won't move away from the window. How he's stuck to the window like a bat," Nayan thought, making a strange face.
Suddenly, the train stopped. Someone must have pulled the chain. Due to this sudden stop, Nayan couldn't steady himself and fell right on top of Chandra. His lips landed on Chandra's cheek, and his hands on his shoulders. Chandra suddenly opened his eyes with a shout. Before he could right himself, Nayan quickly got up from him in a panic. Chandra looked at him with surprised eyes.
"Shh... Sorry... I was just... just coming to get my laptop... the train just stopped suddenly... I didn't do it on purpose..." Nayan was stammering his defense, while Chandra just stared at him in surprise, not knowing what to say.
When Nayan found him looking at him like that, he quickly and flusteredly sat back in his seat. Chandra was still looking at him. Nayan couldn't bear his gaze, so he quickly got up and went to the upper berth, turned over, and lay down facing the other side.
Chandra watched all these actions and thought to himself, "What an amateur boy, what's the big deal that he's reacting so much? What if he's misunderstanding me for something else?" Thinking this, he rested his elbow on his knee, placed his hand on his forehead, and shook his head, thinking, "Oh God! What these kids these days think!"
The night deepened, and the train sped along. Station after station came and went.
At 4:30 AM, the train stopped at Delhi station. Chandra woke his brother, and then they both picked up their bags and started walking. Chandra glanced at Nayan, who was still asleep.
When Chandra's younger brother, Raj, saw him, he said, "Brother! This is the last station, right? So where will this gentleman go further?" he said, pointing at Nayan.
Hearing this, Chandra called out to Nayan in a slightly louder voice, "Hey, listen! This is the last station." Chandra said this, shaking Nayan's leg with his bag, as he didn't want to create any more misunderstandings in his mind by touching him. His shaking had no effect on Nayan; he didn't even stir.
"Looks like he's a Kumbhakarna, just like you," Chandra said to Raj.
Raj laughed and said, "Alright, now you watch how this Kumbhakarna wakes up this Kumbhakarna." Saying this, Raj handed his bag to Chandra and, stepping on the lower berth, reached Nayan's seat. Nayan was sleeping soundly, turned on his side. Raj suddenly came close to his ear and shouted loudly. Chandra covered his ears, and Nayan woke up with a start, shouting "Mama, Mama!"
Upon Nayan shouting "Mama" like this, Raj and Chandra burst into laughter. Chandra, while laughing, turned his face away, but Raj, laughing openly in front of Nayan, said, "And where will you go now, bro? This is the last station, Delhi."
"What? Delhi is here!" Nayan said, quickly getting off and taking his bag, he started to leave, when he saw Chandra in front of him. He suddenly stopped upon seeing him. The night's events flashed through his mind. Thinking about it, he got scared and quickly slipped past him and ran away. Seeing him run like that, Chandra sighed deeply and shook his head in negation.
"What a strange person? He didn't even say thank you," Raj said to Chandra, watching him. "Brother! He ran as if we would eat him." When Raj said this to Chandra, Chandra's eyes widened, and he turned his face away, thinking to himself, "Now he doesn't know that he actually ran away thinking just that."
"Let's go now," Chandra said to Raj.
"Yes, let's go, brother." Saying this, Raj took his bag back, and they both got off the train.

Lotus Society (Fictional Name)
In House Number 99, a girl was talking on the phone.
"Wow! We got such a big project!" she exclaimed happily.
This was Geeta Chauhan, a fashion designer. She was a bit open-minded and playful. She was 28 years old and as beautiful as a model.
Just then, the doorbell rang.
"Okay Mini, I'll talk to you later." Saying this, Geeta hung up the phone and went to open the door. When she opened the door, she was a little confused seeing the person standing there.
"Hi Auntie!" Nayan, standing in front, said with a smile and walked inside.
"Weren't you supposed to come tomorrow? Then how did you get here today?" Geeta asked, following Nayan.
"I have to join from tomorrow, so why would I come tomorrow? It seems, Auntie, you didn't listen carefully to Mom." Saying this, Nayan turned and looked at Geeta.
"First of all, stop calling me Auntie. It feels very strange. I'm only five years older than you," Geeta said, annoyed.
Nayan laughed and said, "Then what should I call you? I didn't ask you to be born so many years after Mom."
Geeta hit his shoulder and said, "Your mom is my elder father's daughter, so there can be such an age gap between us. It's your fault, you were born too early."
"How is it my fault? Did I ask God to send me into the world so quickly?" Nayan said innocently.
"You are absolutely naive," Geeta said, seeing his innocence, and playfully patted Nayan's head.
Nayan looked around the house and asked Geeta, "Where is Uncle?"
"I am here, nephew."
Hearing this voice, Nayan and Geeta looked towards the door where a boy was standing, staring at Nayan.
This was Vikram Chauhan, but everyone called him Vicky. He was 23 years old. He looked good, but his nature was unpredictable. Sometimes he would become aggressive, and sometimes playful. It was never understood why he held such a grudge against his sister.
Vikram came inside and, looking at Nayan, said to Geeta, "You are still five years older than him, and it feels so strange to you. Imagine how I feel when he calls me Uncle, even though I'm his age."
Hearing this, both Nayan and Geeta burst out laughing.
Seeing them laugh, Vikram irritably said, "Hey, stop showing your teeth now."
"Weren't you at work? Why did you come back?" Geeta asked Vikram.
Vikram glanced at Geeta and then said, "Jogi Uncle had some urgent work today, so he closed the restaurant and left."
"That's good, Uncle. You are free today. We'll have fun all day today, won't we, Uncle!" Saying this, Nayan put his arm around Vikram's shoulder, which annoyed Vikram again hearing him call him "Uncle." Geeta turned away and smiled.
Meanwhile, Chandra and Raj had arrived at an apartment. Raj asked Chandra, "Brother, where did your car go? It wasn't outside, did you sell it?"
Chandra denied, saying, "No, it went for service."
"Oh!" Saying this, Raj sprawled on the couch.
Chandra looked at him and said, "We can't sleep. We have to leave this apartment tomorrow, so help me take out the belongings."
Raj did not like this at all. "Why, brother? It's such a nice apartment, why do we need to leave it?"
Chandra said in a serious tone, "There is a need, that's why I'm saying so. And don't ask too many questions now and help me, or I won't give you food." With this threat, he went towards the room.
Raj also got up reluctantly and followed him.
The next morning, Nayan was neatly dressed in a blue shirt and black pants. And why wouldn't he be? It was his first day at work. He slung his bag over his shoulder and walked off with a smile.
"Nayan! Wait a minute." Geeta called out from behind, stopping him.
Nayan turned and, seeing her, said, "Are you going to feed me yogurt and sugar like Mom?"
Hearing this, Geeta made a strange face. "No, take this." Saying this, Geeta handed him a bag.
"What is all this?" Nayan asked, looking at the packets inside the bag.
"I brought some things from Jogi Uncle's place to try a new dish, and some extra things came with it which aren't useful. So, you can return them on your way," Geeta said.
Hearing this, Nayan scratched his eyebrow and looked at the bag, saying, "But you could have asked Uncle to do this work, couldn't you? He works at the restaurant, right?"
"He doesn't listen to me," Geeta said, making a face as she thought of Vikram.
"I've been seeing this since childhood, but I never understood why you two don't get along?" Nayan asked.
Geeta looked at him and said, "I don't know. You go and ask him. I always loved him a lot since childhood, but as he grew up and started talking nonsense to me, I started hating him. I don't know what that dark monkey thinks of himself." Geeta was busy bad-mouthing Vikram in anger, and Nayan was suppressing his laughter.
After venting her frustration, Geeta looked at Nayan and said, "Even if I had asked him to do this, he wouldn't have done it. So, you go and give it to them. Their restaurant is on your way."
"Okay! I'll give it to them on my way," Nayan said as he left.
"Well, best of luck," Geeta said from behind, to which Nayan turned with a smile, "Thank you, Auntie."
"Still Auntie!" Saying this, Geeta made a strange face, seeing which Nayan smiled and said goodbye before leaving.
Leaving the society, Nayan had reached the main road. Walking along that road, he looked towards a restaurant, "Joginder Restaurant." Reading the name, he went inside the restaurant.
The restaurant was quite beautiful from the inside. He looked around. Just then, his gaze fell on the counter where Vikram was sitting and laughing and talking with a girl. Both of them were in waiter uniforms; Vikram worked as a waiter here.
Seeing them, Nayan laughed to himself, "Uncle is sitting here with Auntie."
Just then, someone from behind cleared his throat and placed a hand on his shoulder. When Nayan turned to look back, an middle-aged man was standing there. "Don't get lost in your thoughts, boy. Look carefully at who your uncle is talking to."
Hearing the man's words, Nayan became a little confused. He turned back to look at them again and said, "What do you mean?"
Hearing Nayan's question, the man called out, "Aditya! Vicky! You two are gossiping instead of working."
"No, Jogi Uncle.....!!!" Both of them exclaimed in surprise and looked at him. Nayan's mouth was wide open in astonishment, because the girl he thought he saw was actually a boy with slightly long hair, who looked like a girl from behind, and his name was Aditya.
When Vikram saw Nayan, he said, "What are you doing here?"
"Auntie asked me to return this stuff to Jogi Uncle," Nayan said, showing the bag to Vikram. Then, looking at Jogi Uncle, he said, "Here you go, Jogi Uncle, your items that Auntie took extra."
Jogi Uncle, trying to recognize Nayan, said, "You're Nayan, right? Vicky and Geeta's nephew!"
"Yes, you recognized me," Nayan said with a mixture of surprise and happiness.
Hearing this, Aditya also came there and, looking at Nayan, said to Vikram, "You are his Uncle!"
Vikram didn't say anything, just nodded his head reluctantly in agreement, because what was true was true.
Seeing this, Aditya laughed and shook hands with Nayan, saying, "Hi! I'm Aditya! Your Uncle's friend." He said this deliberately looking at Vikram, which annoyed Vikram, but perhaps Aditya didn't know that Nayan was also mischievous.
"Hi Uncle!" Nayan said with a smile to Aditya, which made Vikram and Jogi Uncle burst out laughing.
"When do I look like an Uncle!" Aditya said irritably.
Vikram, laughing, came between them and said, "If I can be his Uncle, then you can't be an Uncle." Hearing this, Aditya got even more annoyed. Before he could say anything, Jogi Uncle spoke...
"Alright, enough talk. Now you two go and do your work, and yes, first go to the storeroom and organize the items that arrived yesterday," Jogi Uncle told Vikram and Aditya. Both of them, like good children, obeyed his orders and left. Jogi Uncle looked at Nayan and said, "So, Nayan, my boy, how come you're here after so many days?"
"I got a job here, and today is my first day," Nayan told them happily, which also made them very happy.
"That's great news." Jogi Uncle said, standing at the counter. Nayan also placed the bag on the counter.
"All the best from my side, and here's this too." Saying this, he took out a cupcake and placed it in front of Nayan. Seeing it, Nayan happily said, "Wow Uncle! My favorite cupcake." Saying this, he quickly picked it up and started eating it.
"Hey! Eat slowly, I won't snatch it away from you," Jogi Uncle said, laughing.
"No Uncle, if I eat slowly, I'll be late, and I don't want to miss this," Nayan said, looking at the cake.
As Nayan turned while eating, he suddenly bumped into someone. The cupcake fell on Nayan's clothes. He looked at the person angrily, and his expression changed because the person he bumped into was Chandra. He was also staring at Nayan. Nayan still had a little cake on his lips, which brought a slight smile to Chandra's lips.
To be continued......
As Nayan turned while eating, he suddenly bumped into someone. The cupcake fell on Nayan's clothes. He looked at the person in anger, and his expression changed. Because the person he bumped into was Chandra. He too was staring at Nayan. There was still a little cake on Nayan's lips, seeing which a slight smile appeared on Chandra's lips.
This made Nayan angry. Not only were his clothes ruined, but this person was also smiling.
"Not only have my clothes been ruined because of you, but you are smiling instead of apologizing to me," Nayan said angrily, looking at his clothes.
"One minute, what's my fault in this? You were in a hurry, not me," Chandra replied.
"But how was I supposed to know you were standing right behind me? My clothes got ruined because of you. Now I don't even have enough time to change them. Today, because of you, my entire impression on the first day of my job will be ruined." Saying this, Nayan put on a disgruntled face.
Vicky and Aditya had also come out of the storeroom. When they saw both of them, they froze in their tracks.
"You work!" Chandra said with surprise. "I thought you would still be in school. That's why I picked you up yesterday thinking you were a child."
Hearing this, Jogi Uncle, as well as Vicky and Aditya, were stunned. Nayan was even more annoyed to hear this and said to Chandra, "What? You thought I was a child! Don't think I'm that naive. I know what your intentions were. Oh, you were just..." As he was saying this, he stopped himself and looked around, where Jogi Uncle, as well as Vicky and Aditya, were looking at him suspiciously.
Seeing this, Chandra chuckled lightly and said, "You really are naive. You don't think before you speak and consider yourself mature. Just understanding perverse things doesn't make one mature, child." Hearing "child" from his mouth again, Nayan got extremely irritated.
Nayan gritted his teeth in anger, looked at Chandra, and pointing his finger at him said, "Hey mister! Listen to me carefully, I am 23 years old, last year I have done post-graduation in Commerce and today is the first day of my job, understand."
Hearing this, Aditya quietly applauded for him. When Vicky and Jogi Uncle looked at him, he stopped seeing them.
Seeing Nayan speak with such confidence, Chandra raised his eyebrows and said to him, "If you have so much confidence to speak, then why do you think your impression will be ruined because of your clothes on the first day? Will those people give more importance to your clothes than your talent?"
"I don't have time to argue with you right now," Nayan said, picked up the glass of water kept there and started cleaning his shirt, while glaring at Chandra and said, "I will come and talk to you later. Don't leave here until I come back." Hearing this, Chandra chuckled lightly and offered his handkerchief towards him. Seeing which Nayan got even more angry. "I'm not that much of a beggar, I have a handkerchief too," Nayan shouted.
Jogi Uncle, Vicky, and Aditya standing there burst out laughing. Seeing his irritated face, even Chandra smiled.
As Nayan started to leave after cleaning his clothes with his handkerchief, Chandra stopped him and said, "You forgot to clean one thing." Nayan looked at him with confusion. Before he could say anything, Chandra took out his handkerchief and started cleaning the cake from his lips. Vicky, Aditya, and Jogi Uncle's eyes widened in surprise. They watched the scene with their mouths agape.
Nayan's mind went blank for a moment, and he stood there just like that. When Chandra finished cleaning his lips and moved away, Nayan regained his senses. He was now angry with himself, wondering why he let him clean it. He was now embarrassed, so he glared at Chandra and shouted, "Jogi Uncle, don't let this person leave here until I come back." He looked at Jogi Uncle, then while walking away, he looked at Chandra and pointed his finger at him saying, "I won't let you go, remember." Saying this, he quickly ran out.
After he left, Chandra sighed heavily, made a circular mouth, and let him go. Then looking at Jogi Uncle, he said, "Will you really hold me here?"
Hearing this, Jogi Uncle, as well as Vicky and Aditya, burst out laughing.
"Oh no, no, why would we do that? He just says anything. If we start taking his words seriously, we'll go mad," Jogi Uncle said with a laugh.
"Yes, later he himself won't remember that he had to teach someone a lesson," Vicky said, coming closer to them, laughing.
"By the way, have you two met before?" Aditya asked Chandra.
Hearing which Chandra nodded and said, "Yes, we met on the train yesterday. There was just a little misunderstanding about the seat."
"Ooooh..." Vicky and Aditya said in unison, making circular mouths. Then Jogi Uncle put his hand on Chandra's shoulder and said, "Don't mind what he says. He says things like this in anger sometimes, but he's a very good person at heart."
"It's okay, Uncle, it's okay! I just came to ask you if my work is done," Chandra asked Jogi Uncle.
"Yes, here's the key," Jogi Uncle said, handing him the key.
Chandra looked at his watch and said to them, "Okay, thanks. I'll leave now and come back in the evening." Saying this, Chandra also left from there.
After Chandr left, Vicky and Aditya started setting up the equipment again. Aditya asked Vicky, "Brother, tell me one thing, it's your nephew's first day at work today, and he arrived today, so when did he go for the interview?"
"Have you heard of work from home?" Vicky said, looking at Aditya.
"Yes, I've heard of it," Aditya replied, nodding his head.
"Yes, so he used to work for this company from home. They took his interview online, and now that company has called him here to work," Vicky explained to Aditya.
**Real Food Product Private Limited (Fictional Name)**
Nayan got off the bus and his mouth fell open in surprise as he saw the tall and magnificent building in front of him. "Waooo! Reality is so wonderful, I will actually work in such a big company!" He said, his face lighting up with happiness. He closed his eyes happily, took a deep breath, and opened his eyes as he exhaled. "Mom and Dad, all my dreams will come true now." Nayan smiled and started to go inside. Just then, he remembered something and took out his phone to call someone.
"Vedansh bhaiya, are you still in the office? ... Yes, I've arrived... Okay." Nayan hung up the call and went straight into the building.
Nayan took the lift directly to the top floor. "Oh God! It took so long to come up in the lift," Nayan said as he stepped out of the lift. Right in front was a cabin, at the door of which stood a 27-year-old boy, dressed in a suit and pants, typing something on his mobile phone.
Seeing him, Nayan walked towards him with a smile. "Hello!" Nayan said, waving his hand in front of the boy, which startled him. Then, seeing Nayan in front of him, he laughed and said, "Hi Nayan! You're here!"
"What Vedansh bhaiya, I just called you, did you forget?"
"No, I didn't forget. If I had forgotten, I wouldn't be leaning my head against the door waiting for you."
"But you didn't look like you were waiting for me," Nayan said with a mischievous smile, looking at his phone, "You were messaging Bhabhi, weren't you?"
Hearing him, Vedansh smiled faintly and said, "Yes, today she is going to her parents' house. Until she gets busy there, she will keep messaging me like this."
Nayan laughed at this. Vedansh looked at Nayan and said, "Come on, we'll talk later. Today is your first day, so first, I'll introduce you to some of your juniors." Saying this, Vedansh took Nayan to a large cabin where some employees were working on their computers. Vedansh was their senior, and he started introducing Nayan to everyone one by one.
Finally, a boy of Nayan's age sat in front of a computer with a gloomy face, and a girl was trying to console him.
"Pari, what's done is done, now accept it," the girl said to the boy.
Nayan was watching them both intently. Then suddenly, Nayan shouted with joy and went to them, "Parikshit and Kalavati, you two are here...!!!" Hearing their real names, both of them looked at Nayan in surprise and said in unison, "Nayan...!!!"
"Hey! Do you guys know each other?" Vedansh said, coming to the three of them in surprise.
"Yes bhaiya, these two are my school friends, we studied together until 12th grade," Nayan said to Vedansh, looking at the two of them.
"Yes, Vedansh sir, he is right," Kalavati said happily and hugged Nayan. Parikshit also got up and hugged Nayan, then sat down with his gloomy face again.
"Nayan, will you work here with us from now on?" Kalavati asked Nayan.
Nayan nodded in affirmation.
"Well, it's great that you've found your friends. Now I don't need to explain much to you, Nayan, these two specimens are enough," Vedansh said, looking at Parikshit and Kalavati.
Hearing this, Kalavati pouted and said, "What sir, you think I'm like this Pari too? I'm not a specimen."
Nayan laughed seeing her, and Vedansh said, "Then what else should I call you both? You are the most antique pieces in our office, and Parikshit is particularly so." He said, looking at Parikshit, who was still sitting in the same way.
"Yes, Vedansh bhaiya, you are right. I also know both of them very well, after all, they are my childhood friends, right Pari?" Nayan said, looking at Parikshit. But Parikshit didn't respond much, just forced a smile and stayed silent.
Nayan was a bit surprised by his behavior. "What happened to him, Kala? Why does he have such a gloomy face?" Nayan asked, looking at Kala. Then he looked at Parikshit. "Hey! Don't you like that I'm here?" Nayan said, patting Parikshit's shoulder.
"He doesn't dislike your arrival, but he doesn't like someone's departure," Kala said, laughing, with her hand on Parikshit's shoulder.
"What do you mean?" Nayan asked.
"I'll explain," Vedansh said and looking at Nayan, said, "Our HR Head has resigned. He is mourning their departure," Vedansh said, looking at Parikshit.
"What? But why?" Nayan said in surprise, looking at Kala and Parikshit.
Hearing this, Kala started pampering Parikshit like a child and said, "Because he was our Pari's crush."
"Huh...!!!" Hearing this, Nayan stared at Parikshit with his mouth open.
Parikshit irritably removed Kala's hand and said, "Yes, he was my crush. I told you to let me mourn this for a while and then I would move on, but no! You can't tolerate my sadness, can you?" Saying this, Parikshit glared at Kala. Vedansh laughed at this. "See, I told you they are both antique pieces," Vedansh whispered to Nayan. Nayan just stared at both of them. Later, he also laughed at Parikshit's words.
"Oh, so I thought you were mourning, so there should be someone to offer sympathy too," Kala said to Parikshit, laughing.
"Now, if you have mourned and you have offered sympathy, then you both should do some work too," Vedansh said to the two of them.
"Yes, sir," Kala and Parikshit said in unison. Parikshit had also become normal now.
"Explain everything about this place to Nayan and then come to the meeting room. The new HR Head is coming," Vedansh said.
Hearing this, Nayan looked at Vedansh and said, "New HR Head?" He probably didn't know about this.
"Yes, Nayan, just as today is your first day here, it's also the Head's first day here. They will be arriving any moment now," Vedansh said.
Just then, Parikshit smiled and asked him, "Sir, can you tell me something?" Vedansh looked up and nodded. To which Parikshit said, "What does our new HR Head look like?" Hearing this, Vedansh glared at him. "You've moved on very quickly."
Hearing this, Parikshit immediately stood up straight. "Sorry, sir." Seeing this, Kala and Nayan suppressed their laughter. Vedansh shook his head in negation and left.
Kala and Parikshit introduced Nayan to the office and the office staff, and brought him to the meeting room. There was no one else there except the three of them at the moment.
Just then, Vedansh entered with someone. "Welcome, sir!" Vedansh said to the person. Hearing this voice, Nayan, Kala, and Parikshit looked in that direction.
Nayan was stunned to see the person because it was Chandr who had entered with Vedansh. Chandr was also surprised to see Nayan there.
"So, welcome the new HR Head of our company, Mr. Chandr Singh Rathore," Vedansh said, introducing Chandr. Hearing this, Nayan was utterly shocked.

“So, welcome the new HR Head of our company, Mr. Chandra Singh Rathore,” Vedansh said, introducing Chandra. Hearing this, Nayan was stunned.
“And sir, these are the remaining employees of our office: Mr. Parikshit Joshi, Ms. Kalavati Sharma, and Mr. Nayan Shekhawat. You’ve already met the others outside,” Vedansh said, pointing to each of them as he spoke to Chandra.
“Welcome, sir!” Kala and Parikshit greeted Chandra happily. But Chandra’s gaze was fixed on Nayan, who was avoiding eye contact.
Kala playfully tapped Nayan on the shoulder, gesturing for him to welcome Chandra too. Hesitantly, Nayan mumbled, “W-w-wel-come sir…!”
“Such a broken welcome!” Chandra remarked, looking at Nayan. Hearing this, Vedansh chuckled and said, “Well sir, it’s his first day here too, so he’s a bit hesitant around you.”
“Oh, I see! In that case, I should conduct a small interview with him to help him overcome his hesitation,” Chandra said in a very serious tone, looking at Nayan. This sent a chill down Nayan’s spine.
“Come to my cabin,” Chandra commanded in an authoritative voice, looking at Nayan, and then he left the meeting room for his cabin.
“I’m in deep trouble today. What do I do now?” Nayan thought, standing frozen. His feet wouldn’t move.
“Hey! Why are you just standing there? Sir called you,” Vedansh said to Nayan. Nayan shook his head and replied, “I won’t go alone.” Hearing this, the three of them laughed.
“Nayan, why are you scared? You have to face situations like this in a job, and you’re very talented,” Kala tried to reason with him.
“Yes, if someone like you is afraid to give an interview, what will people like us do?” Parikshit added with a laugh.
“That’s not it. I’m not afraid of giving an interview,” Nayan suddenly blurted out.
“Then what is it?” the three of them asked in unison.
Nayan slowly looked at the three of them and said, “The thing is, before my new boss can even interview me, he’ll probably throw me out of here.” Nayan said this with a mock-sad face. The others didn't understand.
“But why?” Kala and Parikshit asked.
“Because this morning I spoke to him very rudely, I even warned him that I’d teach him a lesson. Now he’ll definitely take revenge and fire me on the very first day.”
Hearing this, Kala and Parikshit looked at each other with their mouths agape.
“Don’t say anything, Nayan. I know Sir very well because I’ve worked under him before. He keeps his personal life separate from his profession, and he’ll judge you based on your talent. So don’t waste any more time, go to his cabin,” Vedansh urged Nayan.
“You don’t know, brother! Not only this morning, but I also said a lot on the train. After hearing all that, he definitely won’t keep me here.”
“But he didn’t say anything like that when he left. If that’s the case, just apologize to him, but at least go inside first,” Vedansh suggested.
“You’re right, sir. Hurry up, Nayan, or refusing his order will definitely get you fired,” Kala said, pulling Nayan along.
“Yes, Nayan. And besides, he looked like such a calm person. Wow! He is so handsome. If I were called, I would have already…” Before Parikshit could finish, Vedansh put his hand over his mouth and said, “If you were called, he would have set you on fire looking at your behavior.” Kala couldn’t contain her laughter, which annoyed Parikshit.
Nayan was reluctant, but the three of them dragged him forcefully to Chandra’s cabin and pushed him inside. He looked at the door, which they closed and left.
Chandra was sitting in his chair. Seeing him, Nayan scrambled to stand up straight. He couldn’t lift his eyes to look at Chandra. It felt as if he had been thrown into a lion’s cage.
“Are you going to give the interview standing there?” Chandra said abruptly. Startled, Nayan raised his eyes and looked at him.
“Come here and sit down,” Chandra said, gesturing to the chair in front of him. Nayan slowly started walking towards the chair.
“Your tongue moves like a sharp knife, but your feet don’t. You’ll reach here after the office closes,” Chandra commented, observing Nayan’s slow pace. Hearing this, Nayan quickly ran to the chair, sat down, and began nervously wringing his hands, looking down.
Chandra glanced at him and said, “Don’t worry, I won’t judge you based on your clothes.” Hearing this, Nayan suddenly looked up at him.
“You might be thinking that I’ve called you here to fire you. So, let me clarify that whatever we discussed this morning will not have any effect on your job. I keep my personal life separate from my profession.”
Nayan breathed a sigh of relief, thinking his job was no longer in danger. He then sat back more comfortably.
Looking at Nayan’s CV, Chandra said, “Mr. Nayan Shekhawat, your grades are quite good. Did you pass by cheating?”
“What kind of question is that?” Nayan asked, looking slightly confused.
“Am I conducting the interview, or are you?”
“You.”
“Then don’t answer my question with a question. Just answer.”
“No, I passed through my own hard work, not by cheating,” Nayan replied without looking at him.
“You haven’t mentioned anything about your hobbies in your CV. Is fighting without a reason your only hobby?” Chandra asked again.
“Didn’t you just say you keep your personal life separate from your profession? What’s the point of asking this now?” Nayan retorted, slightly irritated this time.
“This is related to the profession. Questions about hobbies are often asked in interviews. Since you haven’t mentioned anything, I’m just stating what I see,” Chandra replied calmly.
“I haven’t mentioned it, but I enjoy creative work. I prefer using my brain more than physical activities,” Nayan answered, albeit reluctantly.
Hearing this, Chandra chuckled inwardly because, based on Nayan’s behavior so far, it didn’t seem like he used his brain much. Still, he didn’t say anything to Nayan about it. He looked at Nayan and said, “You used to work from home, right?”
“Yes, sir,” Nayan replied.
“Your work is really nice, but according to your previous boss, you are too impatient.”
Hearing this, Nayan suddenly stood up in anger. “Are you saying all this on your own? Where is all this written in my record?”
Seeing his tone, Chandra also stood up, hitting the table, “I have your complete record, and you’re talking to me like this. Aren’t you afraid that I might fire you now?”
“Fire me if you want to. I don’t care,” Nayan said, turning away angrily and indifferently.
Seeing him, Chandra took a deep breath, shook his head in disagreement, and calmly said, “You are really impatient… Please have a seat.” He gestured for Nayan to sit down again. Nayan sat back down, but he still seemed agitated.
Chandra looked at him for a few moments, then began, “Your work is genuinely very good. I’ve seen your confidence, and I know you’re interested in this field.” Nayan looked at him with a hint of surprise at this last statement. Chandra looked at him and said, “Don’t think too much about it. You may go now.” Chandra gestured for him to leave. Nayan didn't understand, but then he got up and left without saying anything. After he left, Chandra simply smiled faintly.
To be continued…
In the evening, when Nayan returned to the society, his gaze fell upon the house next door, House Number 98. It was right beside Geeta and Vicky's house. Seeing that house reminded Nayan of his childhood, when he used to come here with his mother. So many memories were attached to this house!
He went up to the main gate of the house. He saw that the gate was open. He went inside. He saw that everything was still the same as it used to be; a large garden in front with a swing, the neem tree which had now become quite dense, and next to it, a guava tree. Seeing it reminded Nayan of the day his grandfather had planted that small sapling and he was helping him with his tiny hands. Today, that sapling had become a tree bearing guavas.
Nayan moved forward. Outside, there was a small flowerbed with a tulsi plant and some colorful flowering plants. He remembered that his grandmother used to worship it daily. He could see himself running and playing all around. His maternal uncles and aunts used to play with him. He was still in the garden outside; the house was open from the front. He moved forward slowly, diving into the sea of memories. As he reached the door to go inside, he saw that it was locked. Just then, someone placed a hand on his shoulder from behind. He turned and saw; Geeta was standing there.
"Remembering childhood," Geeta said to him with a smile.
"Yes, Aunt. Time flies so fast, doesn't it! It feels like yesterday when I used to come here with Mom for holidays, roam around with Grandpa, Grandma used to make different dishes for me every day, Auntie Purnima used to teach me even during holidays, and Uncle Virendra used to bring me something from the market every day. And Grandma and Grandpa also loved me a lot. You and Vicky used to come here to play with me every day," he said, pointing towards the garden. Listening to him, Geeta too got lost in the golden memories of the past for a few moments.
Emerging from the memories of the past and returning to the present, Nayan asked Geeta, "By the way, Aunt, why did you open this main gate today? It's not like you're shifting into this house, is it?"
"Oh no, we are not shifting here. Rather, a tenant is coming to live here today."
"What? A tenant?" Nayan said, slightly surprised.
"Yes, Virendra Bhaiya has rented out this house, and he said that I should collect this rent every month. Truly, Virendra Bhaiya thinks so much about both of us even while staying far away!" Geeta said with a smile.
"That's fine, Aunt, but who is the tenant?" Nayan asked. Before Geeta could say anything, a truck stopped in front of the house. It had some belongings.
"Looks like they've arrived. You help them unload the luggage, I'll be right back." Saying this, Geeta quickly went inside her house.
"What? I should help unload the luggage?" Saying this, Nayan started looking at the luggage filled in the truck. Just then, two or four people started unloading the luggage from the truck. Nayan didn't lift a finger and stood with his hands folded comfortably. Just then, he saw a boy coming with a large box. The box was quite big, due to which his face was not visible.
"Oh God! Carrying such a big box alone!!! Hey man, you'll drop it... wait! I'll catch it!" Saying this, Nayan ran towards him and caught the box from one side.
As both of them brought the box inside and were about to put it down, they suddenly looked at each other and were startled. They both dropped the box abruptly. The box fell on both their feet, causing them to groan in pain and sit on the ground, holding their feet. This time too, Chandra and Nayan were face to face.
Seeing him, Nayan, holding his foot, said angrily, "You did this intentionally so that I would get hurt."
"Would I intentionally hurt myself too!" Chandra also said, rubbing his foot in pain.
"What are you doing here?" Nayan asked, managing to stand up.
"Who are you to ask that? Is this house yours?" Chandra also stood up and said.
"Consider it so."
"Why should I consider it so? Because as far as I've heard, this house belongs to Virendra Chauhan, and your name is Nayan Shekhawat."
"Virendra Chauhan is my maternal uncle, and this house belongs to my grandparents, meaning it's my mother's too, and by that logic, it's mine too. So now tell me, what are you doing here?" Nayan explained to him properly.
"Oh, so this means this is your maternal ancestral home." Saying this, Chandra chuckled lightly.
"One minute, could it be that you are..."
"Yes Nayan, these are our tenants, Mr. Chandra Singh Rathore." Geeta arrived there and completed Nayan's unfinished sentence.
Hearing this, Nayan opened his mouth and stared at Chandra, thinking to himself, "Oh God! How small this world is! First the train, the restaurant, the office, and now the house! But I won't let this happen." With this thought, he looked at Chandra, whose thoughts were also quite similar. The only difference was that unlike Nayan, he wasn't losing his temper and was accepting what was in front of him.
Geeta, holding some papers in her hand, offered them to Chandra with a smile and said, "Mr. Moon! These are the contract papers! Please sign them." Chandra extended his hand to take the papers, but before that, Nayan snatched the papers from Geeta's hand.
"There's no need for this, because they cannot stay here," Nayan said to Geeta, looking at Chandra.
"What are you saying? Virendra Bhaiya has given them this house, and they have already given me an advance," Geeta said.
"Then return them their advance, I will talk to Virendra Mama."
"By the way, what is your problem with them staying here?"
"The problem is that he is my boss."
"Whaaat... that's even better! What's the problem with that?"
"The problem is that if they stay here, I will be in front of them all day, my work will never end. They will always boss me around, my life will become so stressful!" Nayan said to Geeta, looking at Chandra.
Chandra shook his head looking at her, then looked at Nayan and said, "You are thinking very wrong! Have you forgotten what I told you about keeping my personal life separate from my profession? I am your boss only at the office, not here." Chandra explained to him.
Hearing him say this, Nayan fell silent for a moment. Geeta came to him and placed her hand on his shoulder, saying, "Now you don't have any problems, do you?"
Nayan glanced at Geeta, then looked at Chandra and said, "Okay, but if you ever try to throw your boss attitude on me here, I'll tell Mama to throw you out of this house." Saying this, Nayan left.
Chandra was watching him leave when Geeta came near him with a smile and said, "Mr. Moon, don't worry, he won't do anything like that, because he himself is very scared of Virendra Bhaiya. He is just using their name to threaten you."
"Yes, I have no worries about that. Even if he hadn't used their name, I would have handled all this," Chandra said, looking at Geeta.
"Wow! You are so daring. By the way, are you married?" Geeta asked, moving a little closer to Chandra.
"No."
"Any girlfriend?"
"No."
"Any boyfriend?"
Hearing this, Chandra laughed. "No, no one... Now, if your questions are over, can I sign the contract papers?"
"Oh yes! I forgot. Here are the papers," Geeta said, giving him the papers and smiling as she watched him sign.
To be continued......
Nayan entered the house. He saw Vikram making something in the kitchen. He went up to him and shouted angrily, "Viki! Viki!"
On hearing his voice, Vikram glanced at him. Then, continuing with his work, he said, "You are calling your uncle by name, nephew."
"Shut up! My uncle is gone to hell. Tell me one thing - the person I met at the restaurant in the morning, you knew him well, didn't you? And you also knew that he was coming to live here in our neighbor's house, Nana-Nani's house. So, why didn't you tell me when I was fighting with him?"
"You were riding the horse of wind, how could I stop you to tell you something? And apart from me, Jogi uncle and Aditya were also there. When they couldn't say anything, what could I say? And what's the big deal? He's just coming to live here. For you, it's even good, isn't it? Now you can give him a good lesson, as you said in the morning." Vikram taunted him.
"Don't laugh, do you know who he is?"
"Who is he?"
"He's my boss at the office."
"What!" Vikram exclaimed in surprise. "That means the person you wanted to give a lesson to has ended up teaching you a lesson in the office."
Nayan glared at Vikram and said, "Shut up! He can't harm me. He's only my boss in the office. If he tries to dominate me here, I'll immediately tell Veerendra uncle and have him thrown out."
"Do you have the courage to go against my brother? So many tenants came for this house, but my brother didn't give it to anyone. If he gave it to him, he must have thought about it before doing so."
Nayan didn't say anything after hearing this. He just stamped his feet and went to his room.
Chandra entered the house and began to unpack. His brother Raj entered the house with a bag slung over his shoulder and said, "Brother, you left me behind."
"I didn't leave you behind; you didn't come with me," Chandra replied.
"What are you saying? Why would I do that?"
"I'll tell you," Chandra said, grabbing Raj's ear.
"Ow..."
"You lazybones, you didn't want to carry any luggage, so you didn't come with me, did you?"
"No, brother, it's not like that. Let go of my ear; it'll break."
"Okay, it's not like that, is it? Then your luggage is lying outside. Go and bring it in."
"Why did you bring your luggage in and not mine when you came?"
"I would have brought it, but I'm not like mom. Her pampering has spoiled you. If you want to stay with me, you'll have to do your work yourself, understand."
"I understand that you're not like mom, but like dad. But there's still some sunlight, I'll bring it in the evening."
Raj threw his bag on the sofa and was about to sit down when Chandra said in a serious tone, "You're not going anywhere like that."
Chandra moved towards him, and Raj backed away, scared. "Okay, okay, I'm going. Don't hit me."
Raj ran to the door and then stuck out his tongue at Chandra. When Chandra chased him, Raj quickly exited, saying sorry, and began to lift the boxes. He dragged them inside, set up his luggage, and then threw the cardboard boxes outside. He then lay down on the sofa like a mountain.
Chandra shook his head in disapproval and went about his business.
Gita entered her house and caught the scent of the dum aloo on the dining table. She walked over to it.
"Don't even touch it, Gita Devi!" Vikram shouted from the kitchen. Gita made a face and looked at him.
Vikram walked over and said, "I made it for myself."
"Okay, then why did you eat the matar-paneer I made yesterday?"
"Whom are you trying to fool? You didn't make the matar-paneer; you ordered it online."
"But I paid for it."
"You don't have full rights to those I also have an equal share in the advance rent."
"You're really a selfish person. And I don't want to eat your stale dum aloo. My hands are still intact; I can make it myself."
"Haha, you can't even make a decent cup of tea, and you think you can make dum aloo?"
"Oh, you're like a master chef, aren't you?"
"Why not? I'm making excellent dum aloo, as you can see."
"If you're so proud, why don't you become a chef in a hotel? Why do you work as a waiter in a restaurant?"
"That day will come soon when the world will know me as Master Chef Vikram Chauhan."
Gita laughed mockingly and said, "Stop dreaming. I know everything. You've gone for interviews ten times, but you haven't passed once. You want to become a master chef?"
"If you don't shut up, I'll throw this dum aloo in your face, and you'll choke on it."
Gita was startled and thought to herself, "What can this black, ugly monkey do? Oh God, do something so that some love awakens in his heart."
Chandra came out of the house and saw that Raj had scattered the boxes and their broken cardboard all over the garden. The plants in the bed were crushed.
"This boy is so careless. Even if I force him to do one thing, he'll mess up ten things," Chandra said.
Nayan was standing on the balcony upstairs. He saw the state of the garden and stormed downstairs, furious.
Viki, sitting in the dining room, and Gita, working in the kitchen, were surprised. "What's wrong with him?" Gita asked. Vikram shrugged and said, "Maybe something didn't agree with him; he's gone to digest it."
Nayan rushed out of the house and directly to Chandra's place. He saw the state of the garden and said, "What have you done to the garden?"
"Look, I've..." Chandra began.
But Nayan continued, "You've just arrived, and you've done this to the garden. I wonder what you'll do to the house."
"I'll tell you..." Chandra tried to say. Nayan didn't let him finish and said, "You're not worthy of living here. I'll call my uncle and have you thrown out."
Nayan threatened him and started to walk away. Chandra caught his hand and pulled him towards the neem tree. He stood with his hands on either side of Nayan, not touching him.
Nayan was startled and looked at Chandra, who had a stern face.
"Look, Mr. Nayan Shekhawat, I've rented this house for a few days. And if you don't stop this, I have the means to buy this house. And by the way, the garden you see scattered was done by my worthless brother, not me. I apologize for it, okay."
Chandra stepped back, and Nayan was left speechless. He slowly walked towards the main gate.
As he was about to leave, he turned to Chandra and said firmly, "Okay, but if you try to make any changes in this house, I won't spare you. Remember."
Chandra looked at him intensely and said, "Alright, but you'll have to catch me first. Come and catch me."
Nayan backed away, scared. "Hey, don't come forward; I'll get angry and won't spare you."
"That's what I'm saying; catch me if you can."
Nayan reached the main gate and shouted, "Mammaaa!!"
He opened the gate and ran away. Chandra was surprised but then burst out laughing. "Naive!"
He turned back and looked at the garden. "Now I have to clean this up myself. If I ask my worthless brother, he'll mess it up again, and this self-righteous house owner will come and threaten me."
Chandra began to clean up.
When Chandra entered the house after cleaning up, he saw Raj sleeping on the sofa. He smiled, stroked Raj's head, and went to his room.
To be continued...
The next day was Sunday. Nayan was sleeping after selling horses, Vicky had gone for a run, and Gita had to meet her friend Mini for work, so she was getting ready in her room.
"It's Sunday today, there's no point in waking Nayan up," she said, styling her hair in front of the mirror.
Meanwhile, Chandra was also asleep because he had slept late the previous night cleaning the garden. When he opened his eyes, he saw that Raj's one leg was on his stomach and he was sleeping holding Chandra's feet, facing towards them.
"He never held my feet when he was awake, how did he end up at my feet in his sleep?" Chandra said, removing Raj's leg from him and trying to free his own. But Raj held on tighter. Finally, Chandra yanked his leg free and kicked Raj down.
When Raj fell, his eyes opened.
"Ahhh... brother, why are you torturing me so early in the morning..." Raj groaned in pain from the ground.
"Weren't you sleeping on the sofa last night, then how did you get here in my room?" Chandra asked.
Raj sat up, looked at him, and said, "I woke up at night. This is a new house, so I was scared and came to your room. And you're so mean, you left me there alone and came to sleep in your room."
"You were fast asleep, so I didn't wake you," Chandra said, getting out of bed.
As soon as he got up, Raj jumped onto the bed and said with a playful laugh, "You could have picked me up, your muscles are quite strong anyway."
"Are you a five-year-old child that I should carry you? Sleep in your own room from today, understood?" Chandra said, going into the bathroom.
After some time, Vicky returned from his run. Gita was just coming out. The brother and sister walked past each other without paying any attention. Vicky also got ready and left for the restaurant.
The sun was high in the sky. Nayan was on the balcony, drinking his morning tea during lunchtime, but his gaze was fixed on the house next door. Just then, Chandra came into the garden with his laptop and started working while sitting on the swing. The garden was quite shaded due to the trees, so there was no trace of sunlight there.
Nayan was watching him and thinking to himself, "What do you think, Chandra Singh Rathore, that I will be afraid of you? I understand enough that you cannot fire me from my job, because you keep your personal life miles away from your profession. So, I can say anything to you here." A sly smile appeared on his face as he thought this.
After some time, Chandra closed his laptop, got up, and started walking around the garden. Nayan was still standing there, watching him like a detective.
"What times have come! The house I used to go into with great pride and play in the garden yesterday, today a stranger is living there with pride and strolling leisurely in my beloved garden," Nayan said to himself with a piteous look.
Chandra walked over to the guava tree and plucked a guava. Seeing this, Nayan's blood boiled. He quickly came down and, instead of going to his house this time, stood on the table by the wall of his house and shouted, "Who gave you permission to pluck this fruit?"
Hearing this voice, Chandra looked towards the wall in front, where Nayan was standing across the wall, glaring at him angrily. Seeing him, Chandra raised his eyebrows, took a deep breath, and nodded his head, saying, "What's your problem with this now? I've only plucked one fruit, I haven't destroyed your orchard."
"You can claim ownership of this house, but not of this guava tree," Nayan said in a loud voice.
"Why? Is this tree separate from this house?" Chandra said, pointing to the tree.
"This tree is mine. It grew in my field when it was a small sapling. My mother and I brought it here with great care. My grandfather and I planted it together, so you have no right to eat the fruits of this tree," Nayan said assertively, emphasizing each word.
Hearing Nayan's words, Chandra felt amused that this boy dug up so many old things just to assert his claim. Now, he too was in a mood to tease him and said, "So that's how it is. Let me tell you something too. They say that the person who plants a tree cannot eat its fruits themselves."
"Who says that? Whoever said that, I'll prove them wrong right now..." saying this, Nayan got down from the table and came straight to Chandra's house through the main gate.
Chandra was still standing there by the tree. Nayan stood in front of him, looked up at the tree, and said to Chandra, "I'll eat the fruit of this tree right now." He jumped to pluck the guava, but his hand couldn't reach. Chandra smiled faintly watching him, standing with his arms crossed.
When Nayan got frustrated from jumping repeatedly, he said to Chandra, making a grumpy face, "You already picked the one that was within reach."
A slight smile appeared on Chandra's face. "I can pick the ones at a height for you too, if you wish."
"No, that's not necessary. I can pick it myself."
"Okay! Then pick it."
Nayan looked around. He saw an old chair placed near the flower bed. He brought it and climbed on it, but the chair was rickety and couldn't bear Nayan's weight, so one of its legs broke.
"Mamma....." Nayan shouted loudly, afraid of falling, but before he could fall, Chandra caught him. If he had fallen, he would have fallen face first. So, when Chandra caught him from the front, he dangled on his shoulders. Both his arms were wrapped around Chandra's neck, and Chandra's hands were on his waist. Nayan, clinging to Chandra's neck, had his eyes tightly shut in fear. Chandra could hear Nayan's heartbeat, clearly indicating how scared he was, causing his heart to beat very fast.
Although Chandra had saved Nayan, being so close to him made him uncomfortable. He loosened his grip. Realizing he was so close to Chandra, Nayan suddenly opened his eyes and hesitantly quickly moved away from him.
This time, Chandra was also a bit hesitant, but he didn't show it on his face. Nayan was hesitantly stepping back, but then Raj came out and was surprised to see Nayan there, saying, "Hey! You're the one I met on the train, aren't you?"
Hearing his voice, Nayan stopped and looked at him. Raj came to them and said to Chandra, "Isn't it, brother, he is the one." Chandra just nodded in affirmation.
Raj looked at Nayan again and said, "By the way, what are you doing here?"
"He is our distant owner," Chandra said to Nayan in a slightly teasing tone, to distract Nayan from the recent incident.
Hearing this, Nayan scrunched up his face in anger and said, "I never said I am the owner of this house, but many memories are attached to this house, so I cannot tolerate any stranger damaging this house. Understand this, you and tell your brother too." Nayan said to Chandra, pointing at Raj.
"Hey... what kind of language are you using? We've paid rent, we're not living here for free..." Raj said angrily, looking at Nayan. Before he could say anything further, Chandra gestured him to be quiet and came in front of Nayan himself, saying, "Okay! As you say, are you happy now?"
"But brother..." Raj tried to say something, but Chandra silenced him again.
Hearing Chandra's words, Nayan looked at him for a few moments and then said, "Okay! But if you don't stick to your word, then you'll have to accept the punishment I give."
Chandra thought for a while and said, "Fine, but only here. During office hours, I am the boss, and there you will have to obey me."
Hearing this, Nayan started thinking, "Office time is nine to five, meaning he will be my boss for only eight hours, and the remaining sixteen hours are mine." Thinking this, he said with a faint smile, "Okay, done." Nayan said this and left.
After he left, Raj said, "Brother, why did you agree to his condition so easily? Are you scared of that child?"
"I'm not scared of anyone, but we should respect his feelings attached to this house. Besides, he's not a child, he's three years older than you and works in my office."
"What? He works in your office!" Raj said with slight surprise, to which Chandra nodded.
Raj thought about it for a few moments, then said to Chandra with a laugh, "Brother, either you are very smart or he is naive. He made a deal with you but didn't realize that out of twenty-four hours, twelve are daytime and eight are office hours, meaning he only has four hours to boss around. The rest of the night he'll be sleeping or bossing around."
Hearing this, Chandra also chuckled lightly, then looked at Raj and said, "Leave him and tell me, where are you going dressed up like this?"
"I'm going to meet a friend," Raj said, running his hand through his hair.
"You've only been here for two days and you've already made friends!"
"Two days is too long. I only need two seconds to make friends."
"Who are you fooling? I've been through this phase too, so I'm telling you. Forget all this and focus on your studies."
"Brother, you're misunderstanding. I'm really going to meet my friend. Trust me."
Chandra glared at him, narrowing his eyes, seeing which Raj said, "Don't look at me like a father. I'm telling the truth."
"Okay!" When Chandra said this, Raj hugged him happily. "Thanks, brother!"
"Look, this city is new to you, so take care of yourself and don't trust anyone quickly," Chandra told him.
"Okay brother, I'll be careful." Raj said this and left happily.
To be continued.......
Vicky and Aditya got into an argument at the restaurant, and they were fighting. The fight escalated to physical blows, and in the process, the vase on the counter fell and broke, scattering the roses it contained. Some people were sitting there; some were enjoying their fight, while others were trying to stop them.
Just then, Jogi Uncle arrived and shouted, "What is going on here?" He pulled them apart. "Why have you two turned my restaurant into a wrestling ring? And you broke this vase too?" he said angrily, looking at the broken vase.
"He started it first..." Aditya said, pointing at Vicky.
"You provoked me," Vicky retorted loudly.
"Lower your voice, Vicky, and tell me calmly, what happened between you two?" Jogi Uncle asked. Vicky turned away in anger.
"It was nothing. A madam at that table called me, and he told me to 'go away.' I just jokingly said, 'You never get close to any girl, and you even get annoyed with your sister, which means you're interested in boys.' And he got angry at me," Aditya said. To this, Vicky angrily replied, "I don't like jokes like this at all. Who are you to guess my feelings?"
"I... I'm your childhood friend, and I know you inside out. I was just joking, but the way you're getting worked up, it makes me doubt..." Before Aditya could finish, Vicky moved to hit him again. But Jogi Uncle intervened and stopped him, saying, "He's telling the truth. If that's not the case, you should have just laughed it off. But you're acting as if he's revealed your biggest secret."
Hearing this, Vicky stood silently for a moment, staring at Aditya. Then Jogi Uncle told them, "Now, you two clean up the mess you've made. Do you know this was a fresh flower vase I ordered today? But you two fools ruined everything. Now, the damage you've caused will be deducted from your salaries." He said this quite angrily and left. After he left, Vicky looked at the people standing there, who were stifling laughter at him. Vicky glared at Aditya, who then grabbed his ears. After that, they both started cleaning.
Meanwhile, as Raj came out of the society onto the main road, he saw Geeta approaching from the front. Seeing her, he lost all composure and smiled to himself, "Wow! So beautiful!"
Geeta was wearing a blue one-piece dress. Her shoulder-length brown hair was lightly scattered on her forehead, and with her large, kohl-lined eyes and light pink lipstick, she was walking like a model.
Raj kept walking, looking at her, and arrived in front of Jogi Uncle's restaurant. Geeta walked past him, and he kept watching her go. Just then, while walking, he collided with Vicky, who was coming from the front. Vicky wasn't paying attention either; he was collecting the roses to put them in a basket and dispose of them. But as he collided with Raj, all the flowers slipped from his hands and flew into the air, and he fell down with Raj. A shower of flowers fell on both of them. Raj was on top of Vicky, with his head resting on Vicky's chest.
"What the hell, did you leave your eyes at home...?" Vicky said angrily. Hearing this, Raj slowly lifted his head and looked at him. Seeing Raj, Vicky's words got stuck in his throat. Raj's cute round face, with grey eyes, a small nose, and chubby cheeks; due to the fall, his hair had also become disheveled and fallen on his forehead. Seeing Raj, Vicky's anger vanished somewhere.
Aditya was also watching all this because he had come to clean the vase pieces and throw them away. So, seeing this accident happen in front of him, he froze there. His eyes widened seeing this scene.
Just then, Raj, apologizing, got up from on top of Vicky and started dusting his clothes. Vicky also got up, watching him. "Sorry, my mind was elsewhere," Raj said to Vicky while dusting his clothes. But Vicky was just watching him. Seeing this, Raj waved his hand in front of him. "Hey, I'm apologizing to you, did you hear me?" Only then did Vicky come to his senses. "It's okay!" he just said. Hearing this, Aditya couldn't believe his ears that his usually angry friend could forgive someone so easily.
Raj left, and Vicky stood there watching him go. Then Aditya put his hand on his shoulder and gave a light nudge. When Vicky turned to look at him, he smiled and raised his eyebrows.
"What? Don't think anything wrong about me, or I'll fry you in a pan, understand?" Vicky said, shaking off his hand from his shoulder and starting to leave. Just then, Aditya stopped him and said, "Before you go, clean up these flowers that you scattered in his welcome." Saying this, Aditya turned away and laughed.
Vicky saw him laughing, but when he saw Jogi Uncle through the window, he swallowed his anger, came over, and quietly started gathering the flowers.
The next day, it was 8:20 AM, but Nayan's sleep hadn't broken yet. He had set his alarm for 7:30 AM, but due to the phone's battery being dead, it didn't ring. (Who knows why this guy's phone is always out of battery).
Geeta rushed into Nayan's room and started shouting to wake him up, "Nannu!!! Wake up!!!!! Aren't you going to the office?" she yelled near his ear. Only then did Nayan wake up in a panic and, looking at the clock, suddenly shouted, "It's 8:20!!!! Why didn't you wake me up?"
"I myself woke up late today, how could I wake you up!"
"If I'm late, I'll be in big trouble..." Saying this, Nayan quickly got out of bed and went into the bathroom.
Meanwhile, Chandar was completely ready to go to the office, but he couldn't find his laptop. He searched the entire house, but he couldn't find the laptop anywhere. "I have a meeting with the company owner today; if I'm late, I'll be in big trouble," he muttered to himself, searching for the laptop. "Could it be in Raj's room? It must be with him. I should have looked there first." Chandar went into Raj's room, muttering angrily.
Raj was sleeping soundly under the blanket. Chandar glanced at him and started searching his room, but he didn't find the laptop there either. "How strange, where can things go from a house...?" Saying this, he hit the table kept there. Then he looked at the clock, which showed 8:35 AM. "My car has also been taken for servicing; I'll have to go by bus or taxi." He looked at Raj. "I'll ask him..." Saying this, he went to Raj and pulled the blanket off him. As soon as the blanket was removed, his temper flared because Raj was sleeping with the laptop he had been looking for so long on his chest. Raj opened his eyes and, seeing Chandar, rubbed his eyes and said, "Good morning, brother!" Chandar didn't say anything; he just glared at him with anger in his eyes.
"What's wrong with you?" Raj asked him.
"What is this?" Chandar said, pointing at the laptop.
Seeing this, Raj got up nervously and, handing the laptop to Chandar, said, "Sorry, I fell asleep watching series on it last night."
Chandar snatched the laptop and raised his hand to hit him in anger, but then stopped midway. Raj, putting his hand on his head in panic, bent down slightly.
"I don't have time to beat you up right now," Chandar said and left his room.
Nayan also got ready quickly, picked up his bag, and ran out of the house. "Hey, at least wear your shoes," Geeta shouted from behind. Hearing this, Nayan looked at his feet, which only had socks on. He ran back inside again and quickly put on his shoes and came out.
Chandar also left the house at the same time. They were both surprised to see each other.
"Today, the boss himself is late," Nayan thought to himself seeing Chandar. Meanwhile, Chandar was also thinking, seeing him, "Now he'll get a good chance to bother me; he's late himself, he won't pay attention to that, but he'll definitely tease me about this." Thinking this, Chandar walked ahead with quick steps. Seeing him, Nayan started running and moved ahead, watching him.
"Is it a race?" Chandar thought to himself seeing Nayan run, and continued to walk ahead with quick steps. Just then, he saw Nayan running back and shouting. Seeing him, Chandar stopped there. "Now what happened to him?" Nayan quickly came and hid behind Chandar. Chandar didn't understand anything, but when he looked ahead, a dangerous dog was running towards them. As Chandar raised his hand to pick up a stone from below and throw it at the dog, the dog ran away scared.
Chandar said to Nayan, who was hiding behind him, "This dog was just like you. It was barking as if it was very dangerous, and as soon as I picked up a small stone, it ran away scared."
"Hey... you're insulting me," Nayan said, coming in front of him.
"When did I insult you?" Chandar said.
"You just called me a dog; do I bark all day?" Nayan said, a little angrily.
"No, you're like that little puppy whose bark doesn't scare anyone," Chandar said, smiling sarcastically, and walked away.
"Such an insult to me... I won't let you get away with this..." saying this, Nayan ran after him.
"Catch me first," Chandar also said and started running. He stopped a taxi on the main road, but before he could get in, Nayan quickly got in and, closing the door, told the driver, "Brother, drive to Real Food Product Company."
"Hey... I stopped this one first," Chandar said, looking at him through the window.
"But I got in before you," Nayan said, looking at him. Then he said to the driver in front, "Brother, hurry up, if I'm late, I'll get scolded by my boss." Nayan said this line looking at Chandar. The driver started the taxi, and Nayan waved goodbye to Chandar through the window, teasing him, and drove off. 😛
This time, Chandar looked at him angrily. "You'll get scolded anyway, first reach the office." 😠 Saying this, Chandar stopped another taxi coming from behind.
To be continued.......
It was still time for Raj to go to college. He hadn't slept after seeing Chandra's angry face in the morning, so he was roaming in the garden. Just then, his gaze fell on the balcony of the neighboring house where Geeta was talking on the phone.
Seeing her, Raj stopped in his tracks. He was both surprised and happy.
"Oh! This is the same person I saw yesterday," he said to himself. As he said this, the smile on his lips deepened. He sat on the swing there and kept looking at her. After a while, Geeta went downstairs while talking. After she left, Raj started thinking, "She lives next door. Could she be the owner of this house, to whom brother gave the advance? It seems brother also rented this house after seeing her." Thinking this, Raj chuckled.
Meanwhile, Vicky also left the house to go to the restaurant, but when he saw Raj laughing in the garden, his steps stopped. He just stood there quietly, watching him.
When Raj's eyes fell on Vicky, he said, "Oh! You are the one I had an accident with yesterday." Saying this, he laughed and stood at the main gate.
Hearing this, a faint smile appeared on Vicky's face standing on the other side of the gate, and he said, "Yes, that's me. And you are probably Chandra's brother, right?"
"Yes, I am Raj. By the way, what are you doing here?" Raj asked him.
"My name is Vicky and this house is mine," he said, pointing towards his house.
"Vicky! … Aren't you the brother of the owner of this house?" Raj said to him thoughtfully.
"Yes," Vicky replied.
"Wow! She is so beautiful," Raj said, remembering Geeta.
"Who are you talking about?" Vicky asked, a little confused, as he hardly knew that Raj considered Geeta to be the owner.
"Your sister, who is the owner of this house," Raj replied to his question.
"Oh, hello! My sister is not the owner of this house. The owner of this house is my elder brother, Viren, who lives abroad."
"I know that too, but brother gave the advance to your sister, didn't he? And he will pay the rent to her every month."
"Well, if that's the case, then I am also the owner of this house, because my share in the rent is also equal," Vicky said with full confidence.
Hearing this, Raj said, a little confused, "How many owners are there for this house! Your elder brother, your sister, yourself, and the boy who was fighting with brother yesterday—what's his name… yes, Nayan… he also considers himself the landlord. What a house brother has rented…" While saying this, Raj's gaze shifted back to the balcony where Geeta was watering the plants. Seeing her, Raj smiled and said, "But whoever she is, she is very beautiful."
Vicky followed Raj's gaze and cleared his throat a little near Raj's ear. When Raj looked at him, he immediately stepped back. Vicky glanced at him, then pointed towards the balcony and said, "Don't look at your future sister-in-law like that." Although, Vicky was jealous of something else entirely, but at this moment, he himself was unaware of his feelings or unwilling to accept them.
"What do you mean?" Raj didn't understand Vicky's words.
"Yes, she is crazy about your brother," Vicky told Raj.
Hearing this, Raj burst out laughing. "So many girls are crazy about my brother, should I consider all of them my sister-in-law?"
Seeing him laugh, Vicky was momentarily lost in his laughter, then he said, "Don't consider it, but I know my sister very well. She won't give much attention to a little boy like you." Saying this, Vicky lightly pinched Raj's cheek and walked away, smiling as he looked at him.
Raj stood there, remembering his words, and said, "I haven't even stepped into the boat of love yet, and they have already pulled the boat out and placed it outside. But their point is also valid, still, I will keep trying." Saying this, Raj chuckled. Then he remembered that he had to go to college too. "Will I be late like brother today?" Saying this, he ran inside.
Meanwhile, in the office, Nayan quickly reached the top floor by lift, and Kala and Parikshit were standing right there. Nayan looked at his watch; it was 9:10.
"Hi, Kala and Pari…" Nayan said, approaching them.
"You are a little late today," Parikshit said.
"Yes, but sir hasn't arrived yet, has he?" Nayan asked them both.
"Not yet," Kala said. Hearing this, Nayan was very happy inwardly, and a mischievous smile appeared on his face.
Then, after a while, Chandra also came up by lift and saw Nayan laughing and talking with Kala and Parikshit. He stood behind Nayan. Seeing him, Kala and Parikshit fell silent and started gesturing for him to look behind.
When Nayan turned around, he saw Chandra and said, "Oh Sir! You're here! You seem to be a little late." Nayan looked at his watch and said to him, "You are a full fifteen minutes late. Did you forget to set your alarm?" Nayan was speaking in a sarcastic tone, and Chandra was looking at him seriously. Kala and Parikshit were hitting his shoulder from behind, telling him to be quiet, but Nayan ignored them and continued, "I thought you were a very punctual person, so how did you get late…?"
Vedansh had also arrived there, and seeing Nayan talking like this, he was about to stop him when Chandra spoke, "Don't forget that you are in the office right now." Chandra said, a bit seriously. Hearing this, Nayan remembered the deal he had with him yesterday.
"You three are standing here gossiping during work hours. Have you completed the work-related email I sent?" Chandra asked somewhat sternly. Hearing this, the three of them, looking intimidated, said in unison, "Yes, Sir!"
"Okay! You all come to the meeting room at 11 o'clock." Saying this, Chandra looked at Nayan, "And you want to know the reason for my being late, right? Then listen, I was late because of my cowardly neighbor." Saying this, Chandra left, looking at Nayan, and Nayan watched him, grinding his teeth in anger… "He called me cowardly…!"😠
To be continued…
Nayan watched him, grinding his teeth in anger. "Called me a coward…!"
"Cowardly neighbor...? Who is that?" Kala and Parikshit said in unison.
"Our Nayan Shekhawat, his cowardly neighbor," Vedansh said, arriving.
"What?" Kala and Parikshit were completely shocked to hear this and looked at Nayan, who stood there with clenched teeth.
Meanwhile, Chand was in the cabin of Manikya Arora, the owner of Chandra Company. Manikya was a middle-aged man and a renowned businessman. His company had other branches; some were in this city and some in other cities. Earlier, Chand worked in his other company in this city, but when the HR Head of that company resigned, Manikya called him here because he liked Chand's work and the company also needed a good HR who could handle employees well.
Manikya was on the phone with someone, and Chand had been sitting there for over half an hour. Chand looked at Manikya. "I rushed unnecessarily," he thought to himself, as Manikya had called him, but he got a call and started talking.
After a while, Manikya ended the call and, looking at Chand, said, "Sorry Chand, it was an important call."
"It's okay, sir," Chand simply replied.
"So, you must have met the office staff."
"Yes, sir."
"Recently, some new employees have also been appointed to our company whose probation period is ongoing. You will have to pay special attention to them so that they can work well with the other employees."
"I know, sir, teamwork is very important."
For a while, they both talked about company-related matters. Lastly, Manikya asked Chand, "I heard you've also changed your house."
"Yes, sir. Anyway, I wanted to leave that apartment because the atmosphere there was deteriorating day by day. And then my brother insisted on coming here, saying he wanted to study in this city's college, and his college was far from there. So, I rented a house. We'll stay there until his studies are completed," Chand said.
Meanwhile, Vedansh was also telling the same about Chand. Hearing which, Nayan thought to himself, "Ah, so that's the matter, that's why they told me that day that I had rented this house for only a few days."
"Nayan…," Parikshit called Nayan and said with a smile, "Ask your aunt to let me be a paying guest in your house too."
"Me too," Kala also said, coming to Nayan.
Nayan looked at both of them and asked, "Why?"
"We also want them to be always in our sight," both of them said simultaneously, blushing.
Hearing this, Vedansh slapped his head, and Nayan angrily said, "My aunt's house is not a public inn, and what is so special about Chand that you both are dying to see them?" Nayan said irritably.
"That's right. If one's house is in front of the Taj Mahal, why would they be interested in seeing it?" Parikshit said, making a face at Nayan.
"He is right," Kala said, pointing at Parikshit.
Hearing this, Nayan said to Kala, "Today you are also supporting this Pari in every matter."
"These two are like this; sometimes they become friends, and sometimes they become sworn enemies," Vedansh said, looking at Kala and Parikshit.
At 11 o'clock, Vedansh, Kala, Parikshit, and Nayan were sitting in the meeting room. There was a large table in the middle, with Nayan and Kala on one side and Vedansh and Parikshit on the other. The chair in the middle in front was empty.
When Chand came in, they all stood up. He glanced at all of them and sat in the middle chair. After that, they all sat down. Kala and Parikshit were smiling at Chand, and Nayan was glaring at him. Chand looked at Nayan, then, without paying much attention, started the work-related discussion.
"I hope you have completed the research thoroughly," Chand said to them.
"Yes, sir," they all replied.
"Our company is going to launch a new product, the information related to which I had already sent you. You must have prepared the presentation for it," Chand said, looking at all of them.
Hearing this, Kala, Parikshit, and Nayan looked at each other. When Vedansh saw them like that, he said, "If you have prepared the presentation, why haven't you sent it to me yet? If there are some changes to be made, how will we do it at the last moment?"
"Sir, we have just done the research. You gave a deadline of two days, didn't you?" Parikshit said, looking at Chand.
"Yes, sir, we started work today, and we still have tomorrow," Kala said, to which Parikshit also agreed.
Hearing this, Chand looked at Vedansh. Seeing which, Vedansh said hesitantly, "Perhaps there has been some misunderstanding, sir."
Chand looked at all of them and said, "Yes, it is true that I gave a deadline of two days, but I sent you the mail on Saturday, and yesterday was Sunday. Yesterday and today combined makes two days. So today is the last day, and the presentation has to be given to the Board of Authorities tomorrow at 10 AM."
"What?" Except for Vedansh, the other three were completely shocked.
"Yes, you only have today," Chand said.
"But how will two days' work be done today? You should have clarified that Sunday also counts. Isn't it possible that you are taking out your morning anger on me?" Nayan said, standing up abruptly.
Hearing this, Chand got angry at him. Yet, controlling himself, he said, "I am not taking out any anger, and if I had to take out anger, I would only take it out on you, not on all of them. I clearly mentioned two days. If you had doubts, you should have clarified with me or Vedansh, but you all used your own judgment," Chand said in a slightly stern voice. Seeing which, Nayan sat back in his place.
"Nayan, what are you doing? He is our boss, and don't forget that you are not permanent yet. It might happen that he fires you before your probation period ends," Kala whispered in Nayan's ear.
Chand looked at Nayan, "You would clear your doubts only when you get free time from monitoring your neighbors. You spent all day yesterday doing that."
"You are bringing personal life into this," Nayan said to him, in a slightly raised voice. Kala, Parikshit, and Vedansh were signaling Nayan to be quiet, but he paid no attention and kept glaring at Chand.
"I am talking only about work. If I talk to you about this tomorrow, you will say that I am talking about office work. I have to say my piece somewhere, don't I?" This time Chand also spoke a little louder.
"Then you should have clearly told us the date by when we need to submit our work," Nayan said again in a loud voice.
"Oh, so you mean to say that it was my mistake," Chand said, making a slightly serious face.
"Of course, it's your mistake," Nayan said, glaring at him. Vedansh was trying to say something to Nayan, shaking his head in disagreement, but Nayan didn't even look at him and kept arguing with Chand, "You are the boss, it doesn't mean you are always right. You are also human, you can make mistakes too. So admit your mistake, or it's possible you made this mistake intentionally…" Nayan was speaking non-stop. Vedansh tried to stop him several times. When Nayan didn't pay attention to Vedansh, he gave up and sat quietly, thinking, "Whatever happens, will happen."
Along with Vedansh, Kala and Parikshit were also just silent spectators, listening to their argument and inwardly scared that they might have to suffer the punishment for Nayan's actions. Chand was just listening to Nayan's words with a serious face.
Then Parikshit quietly came near Vedansh's ear and said, "Sir, do something. Otherwise, this Nayan will die himself and will get us killed too. Just look, how he is talking to Sir, and now I can clearly see anger in Sir's eyes. Look at him with what burning eyes." Parikshit said, looking at Chand.
Vedansh just nodded his head in tension, "What can I do now? Sir will do whatever he wants."
Hearing Nayan's words, Chand suddenly stood up and, acting strictly, said in a sharp voice, "The presentation is tomorrow at 10 AM, and I want the work completed, at any cost. Although I did give you two days' time, this work can be done in one day, and I know you people can do it. How you will do it now, that's up to you." Nayan, who had been arguing with Chand for so long, fell silent seeing Chand's strict demeanor and kept glaring at him. After saying his piece, Chand glanced at Nayan, who was glaring at him with a look that could devour him. Seeing him, Chand left.
As soon as he left, Kala said, "Oh my god! Who named him Chand? He just rained embers on all of us and left. And if we don't walk on those embers, he will consume us tomorrow, meaning he will fire us."
"This is all because of this Nayan," Parikshit said, pointing towards Nayan. "He has been angering them since morning. Now see the consequence."
"The wheat and the chaff have been ground together," Vedansh said, putting his hand on his head while sitting there. Then he looked at them and yelled, "Stop blaming each other… And Nayan, you," he said, looking at Nayan with a bit of anger, "you were pointing out Sir's mistake, but he has no fault in this. He clarified everything with me." Hearing this, Nayan suddenly looked at Vedansh, "Then you should have told me. I don't know what all I said to him," Nayan said with a worried tone.
"I tried, but you were so engrossed in arguing with them that you didn't even pay attention to me. It seemed like you just needed an opportunity to fight with them," Vedansh said, scolding Nayan.
Hearing this, Nayan quietly sat down in his chair. There was silence in the meeting room for a while.
Then Vedansh looked at them and said in a calm voice, "The mistake is ours, so we have to correct it now. It's my mistake, I should have talked to you all about this once…" Vedansh said with a bit of regret, "But leave all this aside now and start working, and no one will go home until the work is completed."
Nayan looked at them and said, "Don't worry, I will complete this work, even if I have to spend the whole night here."
"You'll do it all alone… Okay! Then we're leaving," Parikshit and Kala said happily and started to put on their bags.
But then Nayan pulled their bags' straps and said, "One minute, if you two leave from here, I will tell our boss tomorrow very clearly that I did this work alone, and then what he will do to you both, you both know very well." Hearing this, Kala and Parikshit stopped and quietly sat back in their places.
"I will also show them that no matter how difficult a task they give, I can complete it," Nayan said, puffing out his chest.
"It won't be completed just by talking, first, start," Vedansh said, which made Kala and Parikshit laugh. Then they got to their work.
To be continued…
The day was drawing to a close. Raj was returning from his college. He was on the main road when he saw Geeta entering Jogi Uncle's restaurant. He happily walked towards the restaurant. When he reached the restaurant door, the scene inside made him freeze.
Inside, Geeta was hitting a boy with a belt. Raj was shocked to see this. Vicky, Aditya, and Jogi Uncle were standing by, watching the scene as if it were a common occurrence.
Suddenly, Vicky's gaze fell on Raj. With a smile on his face, he walked towards Raj and said softly, "Are you seeing your future?"
Hearing this, Raj was taken aback and said to Vicky, "Why are you saying that?"
"Because you are also going to do what this boy did," Vicky said, pointing to the boy Geeta was hitting.
"What did he do?" Raj asked, looking at the boy.
"He proposed to my sister. He is getting his answer," Vicky said, laughing.
Geeta beat the boy and sent him away, then sat at an empty table nearby. Seeing her, Raj said to Vicky, "That boy is crazy. Who proposes directly like that? First, you should win the other person's heart through conversation, awaken feelings for yourself in their mind, then something can happen."
"Oh! You are a love guru. Alright, if that's the case, you try it. Go, win Geeta Devi's heart, awaken feelings for yourself in her mind," Vicky said.
Hearing this, Raj said with a slightly incredulous face, "I can't believe you are sending me to woo your sister."
"No son, I am not sending you to woo her, but to get beaten. Once you get beaten, your senses will come to their senses."
"If it's about getting beaten, then I challenge you that she won't beat me."
"Okay, if you have so much confidence in yourself, then go," Vicky said. Raj walked towards Geeta, looking at Vicky. Vicky watched Raj go, but for some reason, he started worrying about Raj, thinking that Geeta might actually beat him.
Meanwhile, it was time for the office to close. Everyone was leaving, except for Vedansh, Kala, Parikshit, and Nayan. They were still sitting in the meeting room, engrossed in completing their work.
"Oh God! How many slides will I have to make for this..." Nayan said, pulling his hair. He was staring at his laptop, his face contorted as he looked at his presentation.
Just then, Vedansh came to him and said, "Nayan... what has happened to you? You used to work so well sitting at home, what has happened here now? Could it be that you used to get someone else to do your work at home?"
"Who would I get to do my work? Is there anyone at my home? Only my parents are there, and you know how much education they have," Nayan said, a bit annoyed, which made Vedansh laugh.
"Oh, I am just saying. Look, first stop taking this stress, and take out this frustration and work, then you will feel like working and the work will also be done properly, okay."
"I can get rid of the frustration, but how do I reduce the stress?" Nayan asked.
"What do you mean?"
"Yes, if I don't do this work properly, what will happen to me? And on top of that, I have said so much to sir, I don't know what he will do to me if this work is not done?"
"Look, you do the work properly first, then go home and apologize to them."
Hearing this, Kala and Parikshit started laughing.
"Sir, the word 'sorry' is not in his dictionary at all, we know him well. He will keep the guilt in his heart, but he feels ashamed to apologize," Kala said, laughing.
"You two be quiet!" Nayan said suddenly in a loud voice. "They punished me for my misbehavior, so what's the point of apologizing now? Now I just have to complete this work somehow. Completing the work means completing their punishment, settling the score."
"Forget sorry, it would be a big deal if you just spoke politely to someone," Parikshit said.
Hearing this, Nayan opened his mouth to say something, but Vedansh intervened and stopped Nayan, saying, "Hey, don't argue now and work, you don't have to spend the whole night here." Hearing this, the three of them sat down in their respective places.
"Okay!" Nayan said, taking a deep breath, and then got back to his work. Kala and Parikshit also quietly got back to their work.
In the restaurant, Raj was smiling, sitting in front of Geeta. He had introduced himself and was talking normally, due to which Geeta was also smiling and talking to him normally. On the other hand, seeing this, Vicky was burning with jealousy. Finally, Vicky couldn't resist and stood near the table next to them, pretending to take orders from the people sitting at that table and listening to their conversation.
"By the way, what do you do?" Raj asked Geeta.
"I am a fashion designer," Geeta replied.
"Wow! Fashion designer! ... So, do you have fashionable things in this bag?" Raj asked, looking at the bag in Geeta's hand.
"Oh no, I am taking some ingredients for a new recipe," Geeta said.
"Yes, the ones that never get made," Vicky, standing there, replied. Seeing this, Geeta said irritably, "You shut up! And what recipe is it that I haven't made yet?"
"You should ask which recipe I have made so far," Vicky said. When he said this, Raj looked at both of them with great surprise. Seeing these siblings talk like this, Jogi Uncle and Aditya also stopped their work. When Aditya saw Raj with them, his first thought was that Vicky, for sure, was jealous of his sister because of him.
"If you can't make a recipe, you can take my help," Raj said to Geeta, happily.
"Do you know how to cook?" Vicky said suddenly, turning Raj towards him along with the chair.
Seeing him, Raj puckered his lips.
"First, you send me, and now when I am trying to move forward, why are you interfering?" he thought to himself. Then he said to him, "Yes, I do." Saying this, he turned towards Geeta again and said to her, "My brother cooks very well, and I help him, so I know how to cook too."
"Then ask your brother to teach me too," Geeta said, suddenly delighted. Hearing this, Raj's mouth was left slightly open, and Vicky covered his mouth and laughed.
"Tell Mr. Moon that I want to learn cooking from him," Geeta said again.
"I made a mistake by bringing my brother into this," Raj thought to himself. Then, looking at Geeta, he said, "Brother hardly has any free time. Either he is in the office or at home, he keeps his eyes glued to his laptop, working."
"It's surprising that despite that, he doesn't wear glasses," Geeta said, lost in thoughts of Chandra. Hearing this, Raj started hitting his forehead, because Geeta was paying less attention to him and thinking more about Chandra.
Seeing Raj, Vicky quietly came behind him and whispered near his ear, "I told you earlier, your plan won't work here."
Hearing this, as soon as Raj turned his neck, his face came right in front of Vicky's face. For a moment, their eyes met.
Aditya was standing near the counter, watching all this and smiling faintly.
"When the heart falls, whoever is loved, who can control the heart, everyone is defeated before the heart." Singing this, Aditya went back to his work.
To be continued.......
In the evening, Chandr returned home in his car. Raj had also returned home and was in the garden outside. When he saw Chandr getting out of the car, he said, "Brother, your car is back today! I thought it wouldn't be back in this lifetime." He said jokingly and laughed.
"Those people sent the car back to the apartment. That's why I went and got it myself. What kind of people are they! I gave them the address here, but I don't know if they paid attention."
"Leave it, brother, you've brought it back now," Raj said. Just then, Raj's phone rang, and he went inside talking.
Chandr was also coming inside. Just then, Geeta, standing on her house's roof, waved at him and said, "Hi...!" Seeing him, Chandr also waved and said hi.
"Mr. Moon, you're back from the office, but why hasn't Nayan come back yet?" Geeta asked.
Hearing this, Chandr fell into thought. "This means they are still working at the office. But this work could have been done at home too!" Thinking this, Chandr looked at Geeta and said, "He did overtime today..." Saying this, Chandr went straight into the house.
Geeta kept trying to stop him to talk, but Chandr paid no attention to her.
"He just ignored me and left as if I don't even exist! Has my beauty diminished... I need to check," she said, touching her face, and quickly ran downstairs.

After dinner at night, Chandr was working on his laptop on the sofa. But today, he wasn't feeling up to it. He closed the laptop. Just then, Raj quietly came there and called him very affectionately, "Brother!"
"What happened? Why are so many flowers falling from your mouth? What do you want?" Chandr said calmly without looking at him.
"This...." Raj said, pointing towards the laptop.
"So much happened this morning, and you still expect me to give it to you," Chandr said, glancing at him sideways.
"Yes," Raj nodded with great confidence.
"I won't," Chandr said, turning his face away.
"Don't do that, brother," Raj said, sitting next to Chandr on the sofa and holding him as if he were a teddy bear. "You don't even buy it for me, and now you're not giving me yours either."
"I have never refused to give it to you, but I won't buy it for frivolous things. Once your studies are complete and you get a job, buy it yourself, okay?"
"Okay, fine, but give it to me now... please," Raj requested. At this, Chandr glared at him with narrowed eyes. Seeing this, Raj said, "I won't watch late-night series. I have to do some important work on it, honestly!" Raj promised with a naive expression.
Chandr stared at him for a few moments. Then, without saying anything, he gave him the laptop. Seeing this, Raj jumped with joy, kissed him on the cheek, and said, "Thanks, brother, love you..." Saying this, he took the laptop and ran to his room.
"He doesn't have any important work to do. He'll either watch some nonsense series or play games..." Watching Raj leave, Chandr thought to himself, "Why are there such people in my life?" Thinking this, Chandr remembered something. Then he picked up his phone and made a call.

It was 12 o'clock at night when Nayan arrived in the society. At this time, Nayan's eyes were heavy with sleep. He had already torn his hair while working, due to which it was also messy. His gait suggested he was drunk, but that wasn't the case. He was tired and walking while yawning. The street was a bit dark; perhaps the light was out. Nayan looked up at the sky while walking, where only stars were twinkling.
"I read in childhood that at night, light comes from the moon and stars. They show us the way, but today there are only stars in the sky. The moon is nowhere to be seen," Nayan said, looking upwards.
"So what if it's not in the sky? It's here," Chandr said, coming with his mobile's torch in his hand and standing at his main gate.
Seeing him, Nayan was completely startled. "You're still awake?" he asked, looking at Chandr.
"Yes, the light was out, so I was sitting outside here," Chandr replied.
"How does the absence of light affect you? You have an inverter installed... Isn't it that you were waiting for me to arrive so you could laugh at my condition?" Nayan said very calmly.
"That's what you do, not me," Chandr replied.
"Well, then you must have thought that since the moon isn't out in this dark new moon night, I should come out, right?" Nayan said, looking at Chandr.
Chandr laughed at this. "Understand it that way. That's why I'm showing you the way in the darkness of the night."
"My name is also Nayan. I can see my own way. You don't need to show me," he said and moved forward. But then his foot went into a small pit ahead, and he fell down.
"Saw the way...!" Chandr said, opening the gate and coming out, holding him up and saying, "Your name is Nayan, but you didn't see that pit." Chandr said sarcastically.
Chandr was still holding him by the shoulder. But Nayan quietly looked at him. Then, he also retorted, looking at him, "Your name is also Chandr, but do you have the coolness of the moon? You keep spitting fire like the sun."
Chandr didn't know whether to get angry at Nayan's words or laugh. Because Nayan's tone of speaking was such that Chandr could only smile. He saw that Nayan was looking at the pit and yawning while standing there.
"Now, do you intend to sleep in this pit?" Chandr asked Nayan. At this, Nayan glared at him.
"If you don't have the courage to walk, tell me. I'll carry you home in my arms," Chandr said in a slightly humorous tone. Hearing this, a strange shiver ran through Nayan's body, and his heart pounded. But still, he quietly looked at him. Chandr was watching him with a slight smile on his face.
"Carry me," Nayan suddenly said. Chandr was astonished. "What?"
Chandr had thought Nayan would get scared after hearing his words, but instead, he agreed so easily. This was a big surprise for Chandr.
"Should I really carry you?" Chandr asked in surprise.
"Yes, I said carry me," Nayan said, raising both his hands.
Chandr looked at him with a crease on his forehead. Then he came a little closer to his mouth. "He doesn't smell like alcohol, which means he hasn't drunk. Then why is he behaving like this?" Chandr thought, looking at him.
"What are you thinking now? Let's go," Nayan said again.
"Are you sure?" Chandr asked him again.
"Yes," Nayan replied. Hearing this, Chandr shrugged and moved forward to pick him up. Nayan stopped him, saying, "Wait, not like this."
"Then how?" Chandr asked, looking at him.
"Turn around," Nayan gestured with his hands, telling him to turn.
Chandr turned, and Nayan, like a child, climbed onto his back, put his arms around his neck, and wrapped his legs around his waist. Just then, the lights also came on, and the entire street was illuminated by the bulbs on the poles.
Chandr smiled lightly and said to Nayan, "What's gotten into you today? That day you were like a wet cat on the train, and today you've climbed on me like a monkey. Aren't you scared today?"
"There's also something called trust. That day you were a stranger to me, but not today."
"You trust me today?"
"Yes."
"You've come to trust me in just a few days; it's quite surprising!"
"A person who can forgive me without saying anything even after all my misbehavior cannot be that bad," Nayan said, and Chandr's smile deepened.
"Nayan, can I say something to you..." Chandr said, tilting his neck.
"Hmm!" Nayan replied.
"You shouldn't trust someone so quickly."
"I'm not trusting anyone, just you, because my heart is telling me to do so."
Nayan's words made Chandr thoughtful. "Something is definitely wrong today. Why is he talking like this? Is he trying to play a prank on me?"
"Are you going to stand here all night? Come on, I'm sleepy," Nayan said, resting his head on Chandr's neck. Feeling Nayan's breath on his neck, Chandr's body tingled. Then, shaking his head, he started walking with him. He opened his house's main gate and went inside. Geeta and Vicky's house also had its front door open, with a small garden on the side and grass elsewhere. A table was placed against the wall, which Nayan had put there. Chandr brought Nayan to the door. He wanted to ring the doorbell, but then he stopped and, turning his head slightly, asked Nayan, "Hey... are you awake or asleep?"
"Hmm..." Nayan said in a sleepy voice, "I was half asleep. You woke me up again, tell me."
"If I ring the doorbell and your uncle or aunt sees you with me like this, won't they question you?" Chandr said again in a humorous tone.
"They won't do anything, just ring it," he said, resting his head on Chandr's neck again.
"I don't know what intoxication he's under today," Chandr thought to himself and rang the doorbell. After a while, Geeta opened the door. Seeing Chandr, she was happy and surprised for a moment. But then, the next moment, seeing Nayan, she was shocked. "What happened to him?" she said with a worried tone.
"I don't know that either. I was just outside in the garden because the light was out. He was coming along, talking to the moon and stars. He told me to take him inside, so I brought him," Chandr narrated the long story to Geeta in two lines.
Chandr was taking him to the sofa to make him sleep. Just then, Geeta stopped him and said, "Wait a minute, Mr. Moon." Chandr stopped...
"Since you've brought him this far, please put him to sleep in his room," Geeta said. Hearing this, Chandr took Nayan towards his room and put him on the bed.
When Chandr came out of the room, Geeta was smiling at him. "Mr. Moon, you are a very kind person." Hearing this, Chandr looked at Geeta. Geeta came closer to him and said, "Nayan never talks to you properly. He always fights with you. Still, you helped him, brought him here."
Chandr smiled lightly and said, "I agree that he doesn't talk properly and always fights. But that doesn't mean I should hold a grudge against him."
"Yes... you are right," Geeta also said with a smile.
"Okay, I should leave now. It's very late. I have to go to the office in the morning," Chandr said. Geeta just nodded with a smile. Chandr turned to leave. Then he looked back at Geeta and said, "And if possible, wake Nayan up early tomorrow too. Otherwise, he'll be late like today."
"Don't worry, I'll wake him up... and if you want, I can wake you up too..." Geeta said, with a mischievous smile on her face.
Seeing this, Chandr laughed and said, "There's no need for that. I'll wake up myself." Saying this, Chandr left.
Geeta watched him go. "Truly, there's no one like you."
To be continued...
The next day at 7 AM, Nayan was on the terrace with Vicky. Vicky was exercising, and Nayan was wandering around. Geeta had somehow managed to wake him up early.
He was standing by the terrace railing when his gaze fell on Chandr's car. He hadn't noticed it the previous night. He went up to Vicky and asked, "Whose black car is this?"
"It must belong to whoever's house it's parked in front of," Vicky replied while doing push-ups.
"You mean... it's Chandr's car."
"Yes."
"If they have a car, why did they go to the office in a taxi yesterday?"
"It was at the service center. They brought it back yesterday," Vicky answered.
"Okay!" Saying this, Nayan went back to stand by the terrace railing.
Just then, he saw Raj run out of the house into the garden, with Chandr chasing him. "Today, you're going to get thrashed by my hands."
"Why is there a Mahabharata happening this early in the morning?" Nayan muttered to himself, watching the two of them.
"I'm getting unnecessary messages and calls because of you," Chandr shouted at Raj.
"Sorry, brother, I didn't know they would take all that so seriously." Raj was apologizing and laughing at the same time. Actually, Raj had been chatting with girls using Chandr's ID, which was why they were now bothering Chandr with messages and calls.
Standing on the terrace, Nayan couldn't understand what was going on. He was just standing there watching the drama. Hearing their voices, Vicky also came and stood next to Nayan. Seeing Raj running away from Chandr, he said to Nayan, "What's happening? Why is he hitting him?" Vicky said in a slightly worried tone.
Hearing this, Nayan looked at Vicky with surprise. "Why are you so worried?"
When Nayan said this, Vicky also thought to himself, "That's true, why am I so worried?"
Raj had run to the gate. Chandr picked up a stick from the garden to hit him and lunged towards him. Seeing this, Raj said nervously, "Hey, don't hit me with that stick! If I die, you'll be hanged."
Hearing this, Nayan, standing on the terrace, burst out laughing, and Vicky got angry. "This is too much now, he'll get hurt..." As he turned to go down, Nayan grabbed his hand and stopped him. "Why are you jumping into this Mahabharata war? Remember, in that era too, all the external kings who jumped into the war between those brothers met a valiant end." Nayan said this dialogue and made Vicky stand with him again.
As Chandr raised the stick to hit Raj, Raj quickly moved away, and Chandr hit the bulb on the wall with the stick, causing it to shatter. Seeing this, Nayan got angry, and Vicky was happy that Raj was unharmed.
When Raj's eyes fell on Nayan and Vicky standing on the terrace above, he laughed and said to Chandr, "Brother... you've caused damage. Now you'll get punished."
Hearing this, Chandr looked at him, and Raj pointed towards the terrace, saying, "Look up there... Nayan is staring at you with his eyes."
Hearing this, Chandr looked up at Nayan standing on the terrace, who was indeed looking at him, but now there was not anger but a cunning smile on his face.
Raj yelled from where he was, "I didn't do anything. They broke this bulb." He said, pointing towards Chandr.
Vicky was just watching Raj and thinking to himself, "Who was I feeling sorry for? Such a big devil is hidden behind this innocent face!" Thinking this, a slight smile appeared on Vicky's face.
Seeing Nayan, Chandr understood that he would definitely punish him now because he had caused damage by breaking the bulb.
Raj ran inside the house after saying this, and Chandr stood there watching Nayan. Nayan gestured for him to come down and turned away.
"Now, who knows what punishment he will announce?" Saying this, Chandr started waiting for him to come. Nayan came down and stood on the table leaning against the wall. Seeing him, Chandr also came and stood by the wall, looked at him, and offered him the stick in his hand, saying, "Here, fulfill your heart's desires."
Nayan smiled, took the stick, and threw it down. Seeing this, Chandr looked at him with confusion.
"Sir, do you want me to lay hands on you here so that you can take me to the office and fire me?" Nayan asked sarcastically.
"What do you mean?" Chandr didn't understand his words.
"It means you'll have a good reason to fire me, that I laid hands on you," Nayan explained his point suddenly.
Hearing these words, Chandr smiled to himself and thought, "It seems the memory card from last night is empty; he doesn't remember anything. That's why he's talking in his arrogant style now."
"Does that mean you won't punish me?" Chandr asked Nayan.
"When did I say I wouldn't punish you? You definitely will," Nayan replied.
"So, what is my punishment?"
"Well, you'll get this bulb replaced anyway, so your punishment is... you have to be my driver." Nayan said suddenly, which made Chandr startled.
"What? Driver?" Chandr said.
"Yes, this car of yours, the black one..." Nayan said, pointing towards Chandr's car, "...you'll take me to the office in it and bring me back too."
Hearing this, Chandr was stunned for a moment. "Me and your driver!" he said.
"Why, didn't you make a deal that day that if you caused any damage, you would accept the punishment I give? Then..."
Hearing this, Chandr sighed deeply and said, "Okay! I am ready."
Hearing him, Nayan smiled cunningly. "Driver, I'll get ready now, have the car ready, okay!" he said, ordering Chandr, and went inside.
Chandr kept watching him go. He didn't understand whether to consider this Nayan's foolishness or his intelligence! Nayan had gotten his work done by punishing him.
Meanwhile, Nayan was getting ready. "Well, now I won't have to hang onto the bus or taxi every day; my boss himself will take me, acting as my driver," he said to himself in front of the mirror, smiling.
Raj had now come onto his house's terrace. Vicky was still on his terrace, doing stretches. He was wearing shorts and a vest. When Raj's gaze fell on him, he stared at Vicky with his mouth agape. While exercising, Vicky was drenched in sweat, and his white vest clung to his body, clearly showing his abs.
When Vicky's gaze fell on Raj, he saw Raj staring at him. Seeing this, he smiled slightly and said, "Hey! What are you staring at my body like that for? Going to cast an evil eye?" Vicky said jokingly.
"Why would I stare? Besides, my body is quite good too," Raj said, showing a bit of swagger.
"Oh, I haven't seen it." Saying this, Vicky came closer to Raj. There was a Dolly between the terraces of the two houses; Raj stood on one side and Vicky on the other.
Raj was wearing a black cut-sleeve t-shirt, which looked good on his fair complexion. Bending his arm at the elbow, he said, "Look at my body."
Raj must have just started building his body, so he looked a bit normal, but he had to show off. Seeing Raj's facial expressions, Vicky chuckled slightly and said, "I've seen this. Now show me your abs..." Saying this, Vicky tried to lift Raj's t-shirt, but as his hand touched his stomach, Raj laughed and quickly moved back. "Aii... what are you doing?"
"Why? What happened?" Vicky asked, also laughing.
"I'm very sensitive; I get tickled if someone touches me like this."
Hearing this from Raj, a mischievous smile appeared on Vicky's face, and he jumped over the Dolly to his terrace. "Oh, is that so... then I'll definitely do it."
Hearing this, Raj ran, but Vicky grabbed him by the waist from behind, pulled him towards him, and started tickling his stomach.
"Aii... leave me... don't do it... please!" Raj said, laughing and trying to get free, but it wasn't easy for him to escape Vicky's strong grip.
Vicky tickled him and pushed him against the Dolly. As Raj, trying to escape Vicky, leaned to fall on the other side, Vicky caught him and pulled him towards him. Raj's face was right in front of Vicky's chest, and his hands were on Vicky's shoulders. Vicky also held him by the waist. Raj looked up at Vicky and found Vicky looking at him with a whispered gaze. Seeing the allure and attraction in Vicky's deep dark eyes, Raj himself got lost in them for a moment.
"Can I ask you something?" Raj asked, looking into Vicky's eyes.
"Ask," Vicky replied, also lost in him.
"Do you watch BL series?"
"No."
"Do you know what happens in such situations?"
"What happens?"
"A kiss!" Raj said in a very romantic tone.
Hearing this, Vicky looked at Raj's bright pink lips and slowly moved forward. Just then, Raj laughed, pushed him on the chest, and shoved him away. "Hey, get away, man, you're getting serious... go take a bath, you're so sweaty, and you've made me too." Saying this, Raj shook his t-shirt and walked away from there.
Raj left, but a stir occurred in Vicky's heart. Vicky stood there watching him go. "Oh God! What is happening? When did feelings awaken in me, this feelingless person? And for a boy! I might go mad." Thinking this, Vicky started pulling his hair.
To be continued.......
Chandra waited by his car, ready, honking for Nayan. Just then, Nayan emerged from the house, hands over his ears, saying, "Enough, enough, I'm here."
Chandra stopped honking.
Nayan, looking in the car's mirror, was setting his hair. Seeing him, Chandra shook his head and said, "Now that your adornment is complete, shall we go?"
"Driver, open the door for me," Nayan said, glancing at him with arrogance.
"Now I have to open this door for you too?"
"Why, aren't you my driver? So you will open the door for me, won't you?"
Chandra started to open the door for him. "Wait... not this front one."
Nayan, widening his eyes, said, "Open the back door."
Chandra stared at him and silently opened the back door. Nayan, with great authority, got in. Chandra then closed that door and came around to sit in the driver's seat. He started the car and drove off with him.
On the way, Nayan said comfortably from the back, "Your car is very nice. By the way, is it really yours?"
"What do you think?" Chandra replied, looking ahead while driving.
"I think you must have rented this too," Nayan said, laughing. "And how great is it that my boss is driving me to the office as my driver! ... How glorious it will be for me at the office!"
Chandra listened silently to his words, but said nothing. He was just looking at the time on his watch.
"Why are you repeatedly looking at the time on your watch?" Nayan asked, seeing him.
"I'm seeing how much time is left until my time comes," Chandra replied, looking ahead.
"What do you mean?" Nayan didn't understand.
"I'll tell you what," Chandra said, suddenly stopping the car.
"Why did you stop the car?"
"Look out the window. We've reached the office," Chandra said, opening the door and stepping out.
"Now come out," he told Nayan, who was peering through the window.
"You open the door for me," Nayan said, gesturing towards the door.
Hearing this, Chandra smiled slightly and said, "No, now you open it yourself and come out."
"Why, you are my driver."
"Not anymore. Look at your watch. It's one minute past nine, and this is office time where I am your boss. Here, you have to obey me," Chandra said, showing him his watch.
Nayan reluctantly pursed his lips and silently opened the door and stepped out. Chandra looked at him with a smile, then handed him his bag, saying, "Here, hold this."
"What...! I should hold this?" Nayan exclaimed in shock, as he had absolutely not expected such revenge from Chandra.
"Why? Have you forgotten the deal? During office hours, you will obey me, so hold it." Saying this, Chandra handed him his bag and walked ahead with quick steps.
"Hey, walk slower..." Nayan said, running behind Chandra with his bag.
Chandra went into the elevator. Nayan also ran in behind him and stared at him, saying, "You suffered a loss, so I gave you punishment, but you are making me your servant for no reason."
Hearing this, Chandra looked at him and raised his eyebrows, saying, "Oh, so you're like someone who does nothing wrong, you're so well-behaved, aren't you? Don't you remember how you spoke to me this morning?"
"But in return, you punished me along with my friends," Nayan replied.
"I didn't punish anyone. I just asked them to complete the work. And besides that, you were rude to me last night too," Chandra lied, wanting to know if Nayan remembered last night.
"What did I do last night?" Nayan said, thinking.
"You don't remember," Chandra said, looking at him.
"I only remember that I came into the street, the power was out, you were outside talking to me, and after that, I went home. I was sleepy, and what did I do...?" Nayan asked, looking at him.
"Did you go yourself!" Chandra asked, looking at him.
"Now what kind of question is that?" Nayan said, narrowing his eyes with a look of incomprehension, "I walked there myself." Nayan replied.
Chandra watched him thoughtfully after hearing his words. Before he could say anything, the elevator door opened. Chandra then left without a word, walking away quickly.
"Hey, you ran off again...!" Nayan said, running after him.
When Kala and Parikshit saw him running after Chandra like that, they were both shocked. Seeing the bag in his hand, Kala said to Parikshit, "Our punishment finished with the work yesterday, but Nayan's is still going on."
"He is facing the consequences of his actions," Parikshit said, laughing, and Kala laughed with him.
When Chandra arrived there, they both smiled and said, "Good morning, sir!" Just then, Nayan also arrived, holding Chandra's bag.
"Good morning!" Chandra said to them.
Seeing Nayan, Parikshit said to Chandra, "Sir, have you hired a new servant?"
"Hey... I'm not a servant," Nayan said irritably. He glanced around, and other colleagues were also laughing at him. Seeing this, he became even more annoyed, then looked at Chandra and said, "You take your bag." As Nayan was about to hand him the bag, Chandra, ignoring him, said as he headed towards his cabin, "Bring it and keep it in my cabin."
"What? In the cabin? I'm not coming." he said.
Hearing this, Chandra turned and looked at him with a stern face and sharp eyes. Seeing this, Nayan nervously said, "I... I'm coming." Saying this, Nayan followed him towards his cabin.
After they left, Kala and Parikshit laughed heartily. "It seems the dose last night had no effect," Kala said to Parikshit.
Hearing this, Parikshit stopped laughing, "Yeah... so he either didn't meet Sir last night, or if he did, he must have been rude to him," he said.
"Yes, that must have happened," Kala also said, thinking.
After entering the cabin, Nayan threw his bag on the table. When Chandra entered, he sat down in his chair, looking at Nayan. Seeing him, Nayan said sheepishly, "No one saw you as a driver, but everyone saw me as a servant. You are very bad, I hate you!" Saying this, Nayan stomped out of his cabin with a disgruntled expression.
After he left, Chandra also laughed at him. Then, after a while, he became normal and started calling someone.
After some time, Kala and Parikshit were standing in Chandra's cabin, and Chandra was looking at them with a serious expression.
"You two are very good friends of Nayan, right?" Chandra said to them.
"Yes, sir." They both replied.
"Then you know everything about him, and you were with him yesterday too... so tell me, what happened last night that made him behave so differently?" Chandra asked.
"Sir, did you meet Nayan last night?" Kala asked in surprise.
"Yes, I did."
"Did he misbehave with you?"
"No. That's why I'm asking why his behavior was so changed... Could it be that you guys went drinking last night?" Chandra asked somewhat sternly.
"No sir, we didn't go drinking, we went for dinner at a hotel, and it's 'Pari's' fault behind Nayan's changed behavior," Kala said, pointing at Parikshit.
When Chandra looked at Parikshit, he flashed his teeth and said, "Sir, please don't misunderstand, my intention was not wrong, I'll tell you everything in detail..."
(Flashback)
After the office work was finished, Vedansh went home. Kala, Nayan, and Parikshit went to Paradise Hotel for dinner. Nayan was still tense there; even though he had completed his work, he felt guilty inside because of the way Chandra had spoken to him, despite it not being Chandra's fault. However, his pride wouldn't allow him to apologize.
Kala, Parikshit, and Nayan were sitting at a table, having dinner. Kala and Parikshit understood Nayan's state very well, after all, they were his childhood friends, so they knew his nature well. Just then, Nayan's phone rang. He saw it was Geeta calling. He picked up the call, but perhaps there was no network there.
"Nayan, go outside and talk," Parikshit said. Hearing this, Nayan went outside.
Kala was eating quietly. Then, an idea struck Parikshit. He got up, went, and brought a bottle of liquor. He was adding it to Nayan's water glass. Seeing this, Kala suddenly said, "Hey! What are you doing? Won't he realize that there's alcohol in it?"
"Oh, he won't realize, because this is vodka, neat and clean, it has neither taste nor smell. It will just calm his mind and help him sleep well. Perhaps, under its influence, the thoughts in his mind will come to his tongue, and he'll go home and apologize to Sir," Parikshit said.
Hearing this, Kala thought for a moment and then said, "What if, under its influence, he becomes even more rude?"
"Oh, he doesn't talk politely anyway," Parikshit said to her.
"Yes, you're absolutely right. Wow, Pari! I thought you were much more foolish than you are," Kala said, laughing.
"What?" Parikshit stared at Kala.
"Oh, don't look at me now. Quickly put that bottle away, or he'll come back," Kala said.
Parikshit returned the bottle and came back to his seat. Just then, Nayan returned and said, "Okay, I'm leaving now. It's gotten late."
"You haven't finished dinner, have you?" Kala asked, pointing at Nayan's plate.
"Oh, I've eaten as much as I needed to," Nayan said, slinging his bag over his shoulder.
"Okay, at least drink some water, it's full," Parikshit said, gesturing towards the water glass. Nayan looked at the glass, then picked it up and drank it. "This water is very tasteless," he said, making a face.
"It's pure water," Parikshit said. Hearing this, Kala turned her face away and laughed.
(Present)
Hearing this, Chandra stared at them intently. Seeing this, they both looked away from him somewhat fearfully.
"What kind of friends are you two... I agree your intention wasn't wrong, but the method was wrong, wasn't it? You guys didn't think that he has to go home alone so late at night. What if something happened on the way? At least you should have dropped him home, or were you both drunk yourselves?" Chandra scolded them a bit.
Hearing this, they both felt that perhaps they should have gone home with Nayan, but for some reason, they hadn't thought of it at that moment.
"Sorry sir! But please don't tell Nayan about this, otherwise, he'll never trust us again," Parikshit pleaded with Chandra, putting on a regretful face.
"Yes sir, please, we'll never make such a mistake again," Kala and Parikshit said, apologizing to Chandra.
"The fact that you regret this is a big thing. That's why I forgive you, but be careful next time, okay?" Chandra said calmly to them.
"Yes sir." They both said.
After that, Parikshit smiled at Chandra, leaning his elbow on the table and resting his hand on his cheek, he asked in a teasing manner, "By the way, sir, what did you talk about with him last night?" Hearing this, Chandra looked at him with a stern face and sharp eyes.
When Kala looked at Chandra, she cautiously came behind Parikshit and whispered in his ear, "He's cursing you in his mind, look how he's glaring at you with burning eyes." Hearing Kala's words, Parikshit said, "Sorry sir," to Chandra and stood up straight. Chandra gestured for them to leave with his eyes.
After they left, Chandra started thinking about Nayan, "People become rude when they're drunk, but this one becomes a good child, making anyone fall in love with him." A smile appeared on his face as he thought this.
To be continued........
After learning what was in Nayan’s heart while he was drunk, Chandr understood that Nayan was not what he appeared to be from the outside. Therefore, Chandr now dismissed all his foolishness with laughter and ignored his rudeness. Now, whenever Nayan would try to boss Chandr around at home, Chandr would get his revenge at the office, just to tease Nayan. Vicky’s feelings for Raj had also begun to develop. When Vicky, compelled by his feelings, tried to get closer to Raj, Raj would dismiss him with a laugh; poor Vicky would be left feeling disappointed. Vicky openly expressed his love for Raj, but he still didn't know what was in Raj's heart. Thus, a few months passed with such bickering, arguments, and affection.
One day, in the office meeting room, Chandr, Nayan, Vedansh, Kala, and Parikshit, along with other colleagues, were seated. Chandr was discussing the sales review of the company's new product. Besides that, he was also providing information about other products the company had made. This time, he was explaining the manufacturing process of one product from the very beginning, detailing the subsequent processes in a perfect manner. Some employees were listening to him, but those like Nayan were bored and looking around.
Just then, Nayan’s chair hit his leg, and he winced slightly. Hearing his voice, everyone looked at him. Chandr also looked at him and asked, "What happened?"
Hearing this, Nayan looked at Chandr and began to speak, "My father and uncle never got along. My paternal uncle had a shop that both of them wanted to acquire..."
Seeing him speak like this, Chandr interrupted him, "One minute! What is the meaning of this?"
"Oh, just listen," Nayan said, and then he started speaking quickly again without stopping, "When my uncle wanted to sell the shop, my father and uncle both started fighting, saying, 'I want it, I want it.' Seeing this fight, my uncle ran away, and then a Mahabharata began between them. They resorted to chappals, punches, and kicks. Then, where was I to stay behind? When my father was fighting like Arjun in the battle, I, like Abhimanyu, had to jump in. I jumped in and went straight for my uncle, but as soon as I jumped, he hit my leg with a chair… this same chair has now hit my leg again, and the wound has reopened."
Nayan finished his story and sat back comfortably. First, there was silence in the entire meeting room, and then everyone burst out laughing. Kala and Parikshit also started laughing, but Vedansh was looking at Chandr, who had anger on his face.
Chandr spoke to Nayan in his stern voice, "What is this joke, Nayan? This is a meeting room, we are discussing work-related matters here, and you are joking. You could have conveyed this in one line, what was the need to tell such a long story?"
"Exactly!" Nayan said, banging both his hands on the table. "This is precisely what I want to explain to you: why have you been narrating such a long story about the product for so long? Get straight to the point. What do we care about when it was manufactured, how many machines were used to make it? Just say it directly that we need to research it, prepare a presentation on it, and what was the need to call such a big meeting for this? You could have conveyed this through an email."
"I did send an email that day, and you understood it so well," Chandr retorted sarcastically. "Today, when I am explaining everything myself in detail, you have a problem with this too."
"Oh, but we won't repeat the same mistake repeatedly, do you think we are completely naive?... And anyway, that day the mistake was in understanding the time, not the work," Nayan explained with great arrogance, which made Chandr quiet for a moment as he looked at him.
Chandr, not wanting to prolong the discussion, ended the meeting and asked Nayan to come to his cabin, then proceeded towards his cabin.
Nayan stood before Chandr in the cabin.
"What is this? What is your problem, after all?" Chandr asked him, and Nayan began to speak, and their conversation continued—
"Look, there's no problem, but don't hold meetings like this that bore people. Look at the faces of those colleagues; it looked like you had forced them to sit here," Nayan said.
"Couldn't you have said these things later, comfortably? What was the need to adopt this crude method in between?" Chandr asked.
"So that they could be entertained. Didn't you see their faces light up?" Nayan replied with a laugh.
"You were entertaining them by insulting me," Chandr said, glaring.
"I didn't insult anyone," Nayan replied carelessly.
"Look, your rudeness is becoming excessive," Chandr said, raising his eyebrows in anger.
"I am not being rude, I am stating my point," Nayan replied, unfazed by his anger.
"Okay! You have made your point, now go. There's no use talking to you," Chandr said, seeing his carelessness, and with that, he gestured for Nayan to leave.
Nayan left, secretly celebrating his victory in his mind.
After he left, Chandr thought to himself, "Was the meeting really boring? But if I don't explain things to them, they make mistakes, and if I explain, they get bored. Oh God! It seems I've gone mad staying with this Nayan, haha!" He took a deep breath, let it out, and said, "Now I'll have to send an email… type!" Saying this, he started typing an email on his laptop.
Kala and Parikshit were sitting together in the canteen, talking.
"Pari, Nayan's behavior will lead to his downfall someday," Kala said.
"Yes, he's becoming very rude to sir day by day," Parikshit agreed with her.
"I heard that his complaint has reached the owner as well. If he doesn't change his behavior, they will fire him from here," Kala expressed some concern.
"We should do something," Parikshit said thoughtfully.
"What can we do? We've explained to Nayan many times, but only if he takes our words seriously! He thinks sir can't fire him," Kala said carelessly.
"Explaining won't work anymore; we have to scare him. As they say, bad elements don't respond to good words," Parikshit said, a mysterious smile playing on his lips.
Vicky was at his home, looking at something on his laptop. Sometimes he would smile, and sometimes expressions of lust would appear on his face. Sometimes he would clench his lips, and sometimes he would rub his feet. Just then, Geeta came there. Seeing Vicky behaving like this, she quietly tiptoed behind him and stood there. And what she saw on his laptop made her mouth drop open in surprise. Vicky was watching a BL series. Ever since he heard about BL series from Raj, he had also started watching them.
When Vicky felt someone behind him, he quickly closed his laptop and turned around. Seeing Geeta, his temper flared up, "What are you doing behind me?" he said in a loud and stern voice.
"First, you tell me, what are you watching! ... Have you found someone for whom you are getting this experience?" Geeta said, narrowing her eyes and staring at him.
Vicky felt very ashamed, but he hid his shame behind his anger and said, "What business is it of yours? Mind your own business, understood! And anyway... you're not exactly pure either. You change boyfriends every month, and you also have a permanent girlfriend... Minnie."
"What are you saying? Minnie is just my friend."
"Yes, yes, I know everything, how much of a friend she is to you."
"Why are you blaming me to hide your actions? And anyway, have I said anything to you? I just asked if you've found someone. It's not like I'm sentencing you to death! Nowadays, everything is normal," Geeta said and went into her room.
"Oh my! I thought this Geeta Devi would have old-fashioned ideas, just like her name, but she's far beyond my expectations. It didn't bother her at all. Well, it's good for me," Vicky said, a relieved smile appearing on his face. Then he started thinking about Raj, "Man, this Raja Babu has also gone on a college tour for two days. Firstly, he doesn't let me get close, always showing off his teeth and keeping me away, and now he's not even visible for two days. How do I control this heart now?"
In the office, Kala and Parikshit were sitting next to Nayan’s chair, trying to explain something to him, or rather, executing the plan Parikshit had devised this time.
"Nayan, you know your complaint has reached the owner that your behavior with Chandr sir is very rude," Kala said to Nayan.
"Rude! But I talk to him like this, and he's never said anything," Nayan said so carelessly, as if he had heard this many times before.
"He won't say it, he'll do it directly now," Parikshit said, beginning his plan.
"What do you mean?" Hearing this, Nayan paid attention and looked at him.
"It means that our owner's friend's son needs this job, so considering your behavior, he will be given your position," Parikshit said, adding a bit of embellishment from his imagination.
Hearing this, Nayan stood up abruptly and said, "What? Does this mean they'll actually fire me?"
"Yes, if you don't change your behavior, Chandr sir, despite not wanting to, will fire you at the owner's behest, because he can't refuse the owner's request, right?" Parikshit said, also standing up and feigning concern.
"What should I do now?" Nayan said, looking at both of them, which made them happy. They felt their method was working.
"Look, if you want to save your job, you have to change your behavior. You have to respect Chandr sir both at the office and at home, only then something can happen, and if you can't do it, then find yourself another job," Parikshit said, and then both of them nodded their heads and placed their hands on Nayan's shoulders.
"What? Another job?" Nayan thought to himself, "But I won't find another boss like them." Nayan also didn't want to leave this job, because perhaps he had gotten used to Chandr, and finding a boss like him was impossible, one who could tolerate his foolishness and forgive his mistakes. Therefore, upon hearing the news of his dismissal, he was shocked. He sank into deep contemplation. At this moment, his face was expressionless, making it impossible for Kala and Parikshit to guess what he was thinking.
What must Nayan have thought? Will he change his behavior towards Chandr? Will his arrogance allow him to do so? And when will Vicky get to see Raj?
The next day, when Chandra stepped out of his house in the morning, he saw Nayan standing by his car, a smile on his face.
Nayan opened the main gate for Chandra as he approached.
"Good morning, sir," Nayan said, tilting his head.
Chandra's mind spun as he realized Nayan was showing him unprecedented respect.
Nayan smiled and said, "Sir, give me the car keys. I'm your driver from today."
Chandra was taken aback.
"Have I woken up or am I still dreaming?" he thought.
Nayan took Chandra's hand and shook it, saying, "Sir, what's wrong? I'm asking for the car keys."
Chandra handed over the keys, still in disbelief.
On the way to the office, Nayan addressed Chandra with excessive politeness, which only added to Chandra's confusion.
At the office, Nayan continued to show Chandra deference, even carrying his bag and opening doors for him.
Vaidang and others were surprised to see Nayan's transformation.
Vaidang asked Chandra, "Sir, have you scolded him?"
Nayan quickly intervened, "No, Vaidang bhaiya, sir didn't scold me. I'm doing this voluntarily."
Chandra entered his cabin, still perplexed, while Nayan followed, closing the door behind him.
Later, Raj returned home and was found sleeping in the garden.
Vicky saw Raj and couldn't resist kissing him.
Raj woke up and playfully scolded Vicky.
The conversation between Raj and Vicky revealed their feelings for each other.
Meanwhile, at the office, Chandra was struggling to cope with Nayan's newfound respect.
Nayan prepared coffee for Chandra, which only added to his confusion.
Chandra's frustration boiled over when Nayan accompanied him to the washroom.
Kala and Parixit witnessed the scene and predicted trouble.
As the day ended, Nayan drove Chandra home and continued to show him respect.
Chandra's mind was reeling as he tried to understand Nayan's transformation.
The story takes a turn as Nayan invites Chandra for dinner, which leaves Chandra stunned.
The evening's events and Nayan's actions only add to the mystery and tension in the story.
The chapter ends with Nayan preparing for dinner at his home, while Chandra is left bewildered.
The dinner preparations involve Gita, Vicky, and Nayan, with Vicky taking on the bulk of the cooking responsibilities.
The outcome of the dinner and its impact on Chandra remain to be seen.
Vicky was busy making dinner in the kitchen. Gita had received an important call, which had caused her to leave the house. Nayan was standing at the main gate, waiting for Chandra.
Just then, Raj came into the kitchen to Vicky via the terrace. When Vicky saw him, he smiled and said, "You were supposed to be here at 8, but you're early. Did you come to help me?"
"No, I thought Ji was making dinner, so I came to help her," Raj replied, as if Vicky was of no consequence to him.
"Firstly, your Gita Ji doesn't know how to cook anything, and secondly, she's out at the moment for some important work," Vicky responded calmly this time.
"Oh, if that's the case, then I'll be going."
As Raj turned to leave, Vicky grabbed his wrist, pulled him closer, and looking into his eyes, said, "Since you're already here, why don't you help me?"
"You're an expert at cooking, so why do you need help?" Raj asked, widening his eyes in return.
"But there's so much to make, please do it. You know how to cook, right?" Vicky pleaded, making a supplicating face.
Hearing this, Raj lowered his head, bit his tongue, and thought to himself, "Cook? I don't know how to cook at all. I just said that to impress Gita Ji that day. I've never even stepped into a kitchen."
"Come on, stop thinking. Chop the vegetables."
Saying this, Vicky stood Raj by the slab. Raj just looked at the vegetables in his hand, holding the knife.
"What happened? Seen vegetables for the first time? Come on, chop them," Vicky said, looking at him.
Vicky knew that Raj knew nothing, but he was still teasing him. Raj then began to wreak havoc on the vegetables, chopping them in a bizarre manner.
Seeing this, Vicky shook his head in negation, smiled, and wrapping his arms around Raj's waist from behind, held both his hands and said, "These aren't soldiers in a war that you're chopping them like this."
Saying this, Vicky held Raj's hands and began to teach him how to chop vegetables very lovingly.
"Don't teach me with so much affection, I'm not used to learning things with such tenderness," Raj said, chuckling slightly.
"Why, do your brothers hit you to teach you?" Vicky asked while teaching him.
"Or... you are absolutely right! If I do one thing wrong, I get a slap here; if I do another thing wrong, I get a slap there," Raj said, mocking himself.
"Still, you don't improve," Vicky said with a slight laugh.
"If I improved, I wouldn't be Raj."
Saying this, Raj started laughing and tilted his head slightly, looking at Vicky. Vicky also laughed, watching him. Slowly, Vicky rested his chin on Raj's shoulder and looked at him with a smile.
Just then, Raj smilingly asked him, "Vikram... can I ask you something?"
"Hmm!" Vicky replied softly, nodding his head.
"Have you seen some BL series and are you reenacting a scene from it?" Raj asked.
"What?" Vicky was a little confused by this.
"Yes, where did you learn to romance by teaching someone to chop vegetables so lovingly?" Raj asked, raising his eyebrows.
"Where did I learn it? It's all my own imagination," Vicky replied proudly.
"Oh... don't try to be smart in front of me. I've seen this scene too," Raj said, getting agitated.
"Oh, is that so? Then I'll show you a scene you haven't seen," Vicky said mysteriously.
"Which scene?" Raj was confused.
A killer smile appeared on Vicky's face. He took the knife from Raj's hand, making Raj's eyes widen. "Now, do you intend to murder me?" he asked nervously.
"Yes."
Saying this, Vicky placed the tip of the knife on Raj's neck.
"You'll actually kill me," Raj said fearfully.
"Yes, if you don't accept my love, I'll kill you first, and then I'll die myself," Vicky said, moving the knife along Raj's neck.
"You're a very dangerous lover," Raj said, swallowing hard out of fear.
"That's how I am, and my love is like that too."
Vicky said this in a very romantic tone, gently kissing Raj's ear. Hearing his romantic voice, a loving smile automatically appeared on Raj's face, but in the next moment, he changed his expression.
"What kind of love is this? I don't feel anything," Raj said dismissively. Hearing this, Vicky glanced at him and removed the knife from his neck. But the next moment, he slightly lifted Raj's t-shirt from below and slid his hand, holding the knife, inside his t-shirt.
Raj was startled by Vicky's sudden action. Vicky slowly touched his body, moving his hand upwards, and placed the tip of the knife on Raj's neck.
"Do you feel anything now?" Vicky asked again in a romantic voice. Raj's breathing deepened at this action, but he still tried to appear normal and shook his head in negation. Seeing this, Vicky traced a line with the tip of the knife, bringing it down, but he had placed it so carefully that it didn't prick Raj, just tickled him slightly. Moreover, Vicky's hand was also touching his body, which made Raj a little uncomfortable, but he didn't say anything. He just stood there, controlling himself as best as he could.
Vicky slowly brought the knife down to his stomach. Just then, Raj grabbed his hand and said, "Enough, don't take it any lower, or what will happen to your future nephews and nieces? They'll become orphans before even entering this world."
Hearing Raj's words, Vicky got furious. He threw the knife down, smacked Raj on the head, and pushed him away. "You really deserve to be beaten. What am I thinking, doing this? I don't have such a low mindset. You've ruined all my romantic mood. You always mention Gita Devi somehow. You're like a clock whose hands keep moving from one number to another, and they get stuck on the wrong number. I don't know when these hands will get stuck on the right number together." Raj couldn't stop laughing hearing such an example for himself from Vicky and started laughing heartily.
Seeing this, Vicky, in anger, pushed him out of the kitchen and said, "Go away from here, let me cook."
"Come on, man, don't get angry. I'll help you," Raj said, coming closer with a laugh.
"I don't need any help," Vicky said, turning his face away in anger, but Raj came in front of him and said,
"Please, sorry!" Raj said, holding his ears, "By the way, I don't know how to chop vegetables, but I know how to cook, so I'll do that for you." Hearing this, Vicky turned his face away and smiled.
Nayan was standing at his doorstep, waiting for Chandra. He checked the time on his watch; it was already 8.
"Why haven't they arrived yet?"
Saying this, he looked towards Chandra's house. "Never mind, I'll go myself. If I want to save my job, I have to behave well with them." Nayan was trying to convince himself that he was doing all this to save his job, but the truth was that he didn't want to be away from Chandra, because if he lost his job, his parents wouldn't let him stay here. His mother had already sent him this far with great difficulty.
When Nayan entered Chandra's house, he saw Chandra working on his laptop, sitting on the sofa. Seeing this, Nayan started to get a little angry. "I've been waiting for them for so long, but they don't seem to care." He thought to himself and started walking towards him, but then he stopped, thinking something. "No... I have to behave well with them." He closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and controlled his anger.
Chandra also knew that Nayan had arrived and was looking at him. Yet, he deliberately paid no attention to him and continued with his work. He was doing all this intentionally so that Nayan would revert to his old self, but this couldn't happen, and Nayan, smiling as usual, appeared before him and said, "Sir, you've forgotten, I invited you for dinner."
Hearing this, Chandra slowly raised his head and looked at him. Then, smiling like him, he said, "I was just about to come, I was waiting for Raj."
Seeing him smile like him, Nayan felt a slight smile. Then he took the laptop from his hand and closed it, saying, "Office work should be done in the office. You've made the house an office too."
Saying this, he placed the laptop on the table.
Chandra couldn't help but laugh heartily at Nayan's action. Smiling slightly, he came close to Nayan and said, "You're behaving as if you're my wife."
Hearing this, Nayan's eyes widened, but then he composed himself and said, "No, sir, how could I be so lucky?"
This shocked Chandra, and he was speechless. "This boy has truly gone mad," Chandra thought to himself. He had said it jokingly, but he had never expected such an answer from Nayan.
"Come on, don't delay anymore, Aunt must be waiting." Nayan took Chandra's hand and started to lead him.
"But Raj..."
Chandra stopped, saying this.
"Leave him, you come. He's not as late as you are."
Saying this, Nayan grabbed Chandra's arm and pulled him along. Chandra didn't understand this at all.
Nayan pulled Chandra out of the house like this. Just then, Gita was also returning. When she saw Nayan's childlike insistence, she was beyond surprised.
"Nayan, are you taking him for dinner or to get punished?" Gita asked as she came near both of them.
"Why would I take him to get punished? How dare I, right sir!" Nayan said, smiling at Chandra, to which Chandra responded with a forced smile and a nod.
"Look, he's getting annoyed with you. Come on, leave him."
Saying this, Gita took Chandra's hand from Nayan and held it herself. "Let's go, Mr. Moon, it's our first date," Gita said with a mischievous smile and headed towards her house with Chandra. Seeing this, Nayan stood there with his mouth open, watching them leave, then he followed them.
Chandra, for some reason, was being punished today. He escaped one, only to be caught by another. What could he say to them now? The poor man was being forced to have dinner with them, silently.
Meanwhile, a different scene was unfolding at home. While cooking, when Vicky tempered the spices, a small piece of chili flew and got into Raj's eye, due to which Vicky was busy sprinkling water on his eye and blowing on it.
"Ah... it's burning so much. What if I lose an eye?" Raj said theatrically, which made Vicky laugh. He said, "Don't worry, I'll get you Nayan's eyes."
Hearing this, Raj also laughed.
Seeing Raj laughing, Vicky lost himself in his laughter again. Just then, the sound of the door opening was heard, and Raj quickly pushed Vicky away.
When Gita, Chandra, and Nayan behind them entered the house, Raj's presence there surprised them for a moment.
"What are you doing here?" Chandra asked Raj. Raj had no answer. He was already flustered seeing Chandra there.
"I called him to help. Gita Devi and Nayan are useless. Then I remembered that Raj once said he knew how to cook very well. Right, Raj!" Vicky said, looking at Raj. Raj just kept looking at Chandra without saying anything.
"He doesn't even know the ABC of cooking," Chandra said abruptly.
"But he said he did. Ask Gita Devi, he said it in front of her," Vicky said, gesturing towards Gita.
"He did say that, but he said it to help me. Where did you suddenly pop up from, and when did you start needing help?" Gita asked Vicky, raising her eyebrows thoughtfully. Now Vicky himself was trapped and started avoiding Gita's gaze.
"Oh, stop all your talk. I'll tell you why he's here," Nayan intervened amongst them, causing Raj and Vicky to hold their breath, wondering if he had seen them romancing.
Nayan began to speak, "When I was outside, I saw him go in through the terrace. He probably thought Aunt was cooking and came to help her, but we all know our uncle's nature. How could he have entered their house and kitchen like a thief without asking? They must have punished him for it." Nayan said, feeling sorry for Raj, which made Raj and Vicky breathe a sigh of relief.
"You won't stop your antics, will you?"
Saying this, Chandra, in anger, moved towards Raj. Seeing him, Raj hid behind Vicky, and Nayan stepped in front of him, stopping him and saying, "Sir, I invited you for dinner. You can beat Raj at your house, but not here, okay."
Seeing Nayan speaking so well with Chandra, Raj and Vicky were also surprised. Nayan took Chandra towards the dining table, and they both stood there with their mouths open, looking at them, and then at each other.
At the dining table, Nayan was sitting next to Chandra. Beside him was Raj, and beside Raj was Gita, meaning Gita was opposite Chandra, and Vicky was sitting in the chair next to Gita, placing him opposite Raj. Their dining table was round.
Nayan served food onto Chandra's plate himself. Raj, Vicky, and Gita had forgotten their own food and were just staring at them in surprise, wondering what was going on.
"Gita Ji, what is all this happening? I don't understand anything," Raj said softly, approaching Gita.
"If I understood, I wouldn't be staring at all this in surprise like you," Gita replied softly.
Just then, Vicky also came between them and said softly, "What are we saying? Even the windows, doors, and furniture in our house are surprised by this and are screaming and asking what on earth is happening?"
Hearing Vicky's words, Gita and Raj laughed. Hearing their voices, Chandra and Nayan looked at them, and Raj flashed his teeth and said, "Brother, I was talking about my college tour, that's why they're laughing." Chandra glared at him with narrowed eyes at this, because he knew well that they were laughing at him.
"Sir, why are you staring at him like that? Is it a sin to laugh and joke in your eyes?"
Hearing this, Chandra moved his gaze from Raj to Nayan and quietly started eating.
Nayan's words made Raj's mind spin too. He went back to Gita and said in a low voice, "Gita Ji, it seems an angel with good qualities has entered Nayan." Hearing this, Gita covered her mouth and laughed.
"Maybe that angel should be inside you," Vicky said, poking his nose between them again. Hearing this, Raj got irritated with Vicky.
Chandra could barely swallow his food. His stomach was already full from Nayan's excessive hospitality. Whenever he looked at Nayan, he found him smiling. Now he was becoming uncomfortable with this and wanted to finish his meal and flee home as soon as possible.
Chandra finished his food and stood up. "I'll leave now."
"Oh, sir, so soon?"
Saying this, Nayan also stood up with him. "You haven't even finished everything," he said.
"Yes, Mr. Moon, there's still food left on your plate," Gita also said.
To which Chandra said to her, "No Gita, I've eaten as much as I was hungry for. I can't tolerate any more." Chandra said this line looking at Nayan.
This made Nayan a little angry, but he didn't show it on his face and forced a smile, saying, "Okay sir, as you wish."
Saying this, he bowed his head again, but this time he bowed his head so that his angry expression wouldn't be visible to Chandra.
"Brother, wait for me," Raj said to Chandra.
To which Chandra replied, looking at him, "You speak as if you came with me. Come later."
Saying this, Chandra started to leave, and Nayan followed him.
Reaching the main gate outside, Chandra looked at Nayan and said, "Look, Nayan, no more jokes. Tell me honestly, why are you doing all this?"
Hearing his words, Nayan started thinking, "If I tell them the reason, they'll realize it's all a show and really fire me. No, I can't tell them the reason. I have to show them that I truly respect them."
After thinking all this, Nayan smiled and looked at Chandra, and presenting himself very politely, said, "Sir, you are my boss, so I should respect you, right?"
"Oh, after so many months, you finally realized today that I am your boss," Chandra said sarcastically.
"Oh sir, I knew that from the first day, but I only realized it today," Nayan replied with a forced smile, making it clear that he was annoyed by Chandra's words but not showing it.
Chandra looked at him and thought, "Alright Nayan, don't tell me. You've troubled me all this time, haven't you? Now, if I don't force you back to your old self in the same way, my name isn't Chandra."
What was Chandra about to do?
The next day, Nayan, Kala, and Parikshit were sitting in the meeting room at the office. No one else was there besides the three of them. Nayan sat silently on his chair. Then Parikshit said to him, "Wow! Nayan, you've done wonders! Now, not only the honorarium, but not even their father can remove you from this office." Parikshit's tone was as if he was mocking him.
"Seeing your excellent behavior with the boss, all your past mistakes will be forgotten," Kala said. After that, Kala and Parikshit burst out laughing.
"Shut up!" Nayan yelled loudly.
"Are you alright?" Parikshit asked, feigning concern.
To which Nayan replied angrily, "I am not alright at all. I'm tired of pampering him since yesterday, my tongue is tired of constantly saying 'Yes sir, yes sir,' my neck has stiffened from bowing my head to him. It feels like I'm contesting an election, having to bow my head before him and my cheeks ache from forcing smiles." He said this, gently pressing his cheeks. Seeing this, Kala and Parikshit struggled to control their laughter and stood up.
"And on top of that, his questions, do you know what he was asking me?" Nayan said. To which Kala and Parikshit shook their heads negatively. Just then, Chandra was also entering, but hearing Nayan's voice, he stopped at the doorway.
Nayan stood like Chandra and, imitating his voice, said, "Have you consumed any intoxicants? Did you fall into a ditch that you have a head injury? Do you even know how to drive? Will I reach the office safely? Your big smile makes me doubt you. Is it possible you're trying to play a prank on me? Look Nayan, no more jokes, tell me directly why you're doing all this? Aaah........." He screamed at the end. He delivered each line in Chandra's style. Seeing him imitate Chandra, Kala and Parikshit couldn't hold back their laughter and burst out laughing.
Chandra, standing at the door, also chuckled lightly seeing Nayan imitating him. Then, instead of entering, he went directly to his cabin, deep in thought.
The very next moment, Kala and Parikshit were standing in his cabin, and Chandra was staring at them. Seeing this, Parikshit asked him, "Sir, why are you staring at us like this?"
"You both know very well what I want to know," Chandra said. Hearing this, they both looked at each other.
Then, looking at Chandra, they said, "Sir, you've found out that our involvement is behind his changed behavior."
"Yes, you two are the scriptwriters of this story. Now, tell me the whole story," Chandra asked them.
They told Chandra the entire story. To which Chandra was surprised and said, "Wow! Friends should be like this, you think so much about him! But have you thought about what kind of situation I'm in because of your friendship?" Chandra said somewhat sternly.
"Sir, it's good for you that he's behaving so well with you," Parikshit said with a playful smile.
"He's not behaving well, he's flattering me. It feels like a shadow is following me, wherever I go, he follows," Hearing this, Kala and Parikshit muffled their laughter, remembering yesterday when Nayan followed Chandra to the washroom and accidentally even opened its door.
When Chandra saw them laughing, he shouted, "Stop laughing!" At his shout, they both immediately fell silent and stood up straight.
Chandra started speaking, "What kind of employees are you? I don't understand whether I control you according to my will, or you control me according to your will. Do I have any respect or not?"
"Sir, please don't say that. We respect you a lot, and we just wanted Nayan to respect you too, but we didn't know he would start respecting you this much," Parikshit said, making a somewhat disappointed face.
"Yes sir, he's just afraid of being fired. He genuinely wants to work here. Even if his way of talking isn't right, you yourself think about it, have you ever found any fault in his work?" When Kala said this, Chandra paused for a moment, thinking.
Chandra looked at both of them and said, "You two can leave now, and remember, you must not tell Nayan anything that happened here, otherwise you know very well what I can do." Saying this, Chandra gestured for them to leave.
At his words, both of them wore confused expressions. Then, smiling, Parikshit came to Chandra, placed his hands on the side of his chair, and leaning slightly towards him, said, "By the way, sir, how are you going to treat Nayan now?" Chandra looked at him with a blank expression at his gesture.
"I don't know about Nayan, but this one will surely be fired today," Kala said to herself, feeling a bit nervous seeing Parikshit talking to Chandra like that.
Parikshit was still smiling and looking at Chandra. At this moment, Chandra's face was expressionless. Then he said normally, "Mr. Parikshit Joshi!"
"Call me Pari, sir," Parikshit said teasingly.
Chandra said with a sarcastic smile, "Parikshit Joshi, will you jump into the fire yourself, or should I push you?"
"What do you mean, sir?" Parikshit asked with a confused expression. At this point, Kala was standing with her face hidden in her hands out of fear, peeking at him through her fingers.
"It means, will you resign yourself, or will I fire you?" Chandra's smile turned stern as he said this.
Hearing this, Parikshit suddenly straightened up, flustered, "N...No sir, I mean sorry sir, I mean really sorry sir, don't fire me, otherwise how will I be able to see you." Parikshit blurted all this out inadvertently. But when he said it, Chandra yelled angrily, "Get out of here!" Hearing this, Kala and Parikshit fled the scene as fast as they could.
After they left, Chandra sat down, holding his head, "Even if I fire them, what reason would I give? That my employees are flirting with me? That would make me look ridiculous," he said to himself. Then, after a while, composing himself, he started thinking about Nayan, "Now you see, Nayan, what I do!" A mysterious smile appeared on his face as he thought this.
Today, when Raj arrived at Jogi Uncle's restaurant, he found Vicky arguing with Geeta. He stood at the door, looking at Vicky, and thought to himself, "So, he talks properly only in front of me, otherwise, behind my back, it's the same as before." He was thinking. Raj had seen Vicky arguing with Geeta before and had ignored Vicky many times because of this. The only effect this had on Vicky was that he would talk to Geeta a little properly in front of Raj, or not talk at all, but his strict behavior towards Geeta had not changed at all. If it were a normal sibling squabble, Raj might not have reacted so much, but Vicky fought with Geeta like sworn enemies.
After some time, Geeta finished arguing with Vicky and left. She paid no attention to Raj standing at the door. Raj watched her go. Vicky and Aditya were standing near the counter. When Aditya noticed Raj, he lightly patted Vicky's shoulder and gestured for him to look towards Raj. Over the past few months, Aditya had come to know Vicky's feelings as a friend, and Vicky had also admitted to him that he liked Raj. In fact, Aditya had suspected this the very day he first met Vicky. (Do you remember that day when Aditya told Vicky, "Before you leave, clean up the flowers you scattered in his welcome.")
Seeing Raj, a smile appeared on Vicky's face, and he walked towards Raj. But Raj, paying no attention to him, came straight inside and sat at a table. Seeing this, Vicky couldn't understand, "He just walked away as if I'm not even here," he thought to himself. Perhaps he didn't know that Raj had seen him arguing with Geeta.
"Aditya, please bring me a brownie," Raj said to Aditya. At this, Vicky, looking at him with a hint of surprise, came and stood near Aditya, because Raj always used to order Vicky around, but today he had completely ignored Vicky.
Jogi Uncle also arrived. When he saw Raj, he said to him, "Oh, little Chandra, you're here! It's good you came, otherwise, your brother Chandra never visits."
"There are also some people working here who don't know how to respect their elders, which is why brother doesn't come here," Raj said, looking at Vicky.
Hearing this, Aditya whispered in Vicky's ear, "He's referring to you." When Aditya said this, Vicky gave him a glare, and Aditya immediately moved away from him.
Vicky mentally scolded himself, "Today he saw me arguing. Why can't I control my tongue? Why do I clash with Geeta Devi over trivial matters?"
Raj kept talking to Aditya and Jogi Uncle. Vicky tried to talk to him several times, but Raj ignored him every time. Seeing this, Aditya felt both amused and sympathetic towards Vicky.
After Raj left, Aditya came to Vicky and said, "Now, pull yourself together, my friend."
"What do you mean?" Vicky asked.
To which Aditya shook his head negatively and said, "You still don't understand? You know why he ignored you."
"Yes, I know," Vicky said, understanding his point.
"Then why don't you change yourself?" Aditya advised him.
"What can I do? I try, but I've been fighting since childhood, how can I improve?"
"You have to improve, or forget about him," Aditya said. When Aditya said this, Vicky felt as if a hammer had struck his heart.
To be continued......
Nayan stood in front of Chandra’s cabin in the office, like an obedient child. Chandra, seated in his chair, was looking at the presentation Nayan had prepared.
After reviewing it, Chandra said to Nayan, "What is this?"
"What, sir!" Nayan replied.
"What kind of presentation is this? Nothing is mentioned properly."
"Sir, what didn’t you understand?"
"I understood nothing. So, you remake it." Saying this, Chandra gestured for him to leave. Nayan didn't say anything, simply replied, "Yes, sir," and went to redo the presentation.
Meanwhile, when Vicky returned home, his eyes were fixed on the house next door. He wanted to see Raj once, but Raj was nowhere to be seen. Disappointed, he opened his own gate and started to enter.
"Now I have to change myself. After all, she is my sister, and what has she ever done wrong to me? What would it cost me if I spoke to her respectfully?" He was thinking this when he saw Geeta coming from the front. He composed himself and, approaching her, said, "S...sorry....sister?" He managed to stammer out only this much.
"What did you say?" Hearing the word "sister" from Vicky's mouth, Geeta's purse slipped from her hand and fell to the ground. She looked at him with disbelief and said, "What did you say?"
Vicky didn't say anything and went straight inside the house. He had said "sister" once, but due to hesitation, he couldn't say it again. But Geeta's eyes welled up. After so many years, she had heard Vicky call her "sister" again.
Vicky had only called Geeta "sister" until he was ten years old. After that, who knows what happened to him that he started getting annoyed with Geeta, speaking disrespectfully to her, and calling her by her name. Perhaps the reason was that Geeta used to scold him when he did as he pleased. He had taken Geeta's restrictions too seriously. Vicky’s nature was such that he was a bit short-tempered. He didn't like anyone interfering with him. His nature hadn't changed even today; he was still short-tempered, but he softened whenever Raj was around.
Raj was on the roof of his house, but he hid when Vicky arrived. He had seen them talking. Then he smiled looking at Geeta, who was picking up her fallen purse.
In the evening, Nayan again went to Chandra’s cabin with the revised presentation and asked, "Sir, I've prepared this again, is it okay now?"
Chandra looked at his presentation. Then he looked at Nayan; he was still standing with a smile on his face. After looking at his presentation, Chandra said, "It's okay, but there's still something missing."
"What is missing now, sir?"
"It's missing, that's why I'm saying so."
"But sir, please tell me, what is missing?"
"I just don't like it. Make it again, and yes... remember, send it to me before 9 AM tomorrow, okay." Saying this, Chandra got up from his chair to leave, but Nayan was still standing there, watching him, and the expression on his face began to change.
"What happened, are you not going to make it?" Chandra asked, looking at him.
"No, sir, I will make it and send it to you by tomorrow morning," Nayan said with a smile again and went to prepare the presentation. Chandra watched him leave with a blank expression.
Nayan hadn’t gone home today; instead, he was working in the meeting room at the office. Kala and Parikshit were also not with him today, as Chandra had already warned them. Vedansh had left early today because he had to pick up his wife, so he knew nothing about this.
Night was approaching, and the employees working the night shift also started arriving.
(Some companies also have night shifts, and it depends on the employees whether they want to work the day shift or the night shift.)
Nayan was engrossed in his work when the security guard brought a food packet and handed it to him, saying, "Sir, a boy named Aditya came outside. He said your aunt sent this food."
Nayan took the packet, took out the food, and started eating. "The taste of the food is a bit different today. Vicky didn't make it; I think my aunt made it. After all, she has learned to cook well too; she made it quite tasty." He ate, saying this. Then, after eating, he resumed his work. He sat and prepared the presentation all night, checking it repeatedly. When he found no mistakes from his end, he sent it to Chandra and rested his head on the table for a while, closing his eyes.
The next day, Chandra arrived at the office earlier than usual. When he entered the meeting room, seeing Nayan sleeping like that, he started walking towards him. Nayan was sleeping with his head resting on the side of the table. His laptop was also open. Chandra looked at his laptop, then did something to it and closed it. Then he looked at Nayan, who was sleeping.
Nayan's hair was messy and falling on his forehead. Fatigue was clearly visible on his face. How adorable and innocent he looked sleeping like that! Seeing him, a smile appeared on Chandra's face, and his hands involuntarily moved towards his face. Before he could touch him, Nayan's phone alarm rang.
"Nannu, wake up... it's morning... Nannu, wake up... it's morning..." Hearing this, Chandra hastily pulled his hand back.
Actually, Nayan had set an alarm with his mother's voice on his phone, which he kept very close to his ear so that if no one woke him up, he could wake himself.
(Usually, this guy's phone never had battery, and the alarm never rang, but today when it shouldn't have, it did, and when the alarm shouldn't have rung, it did. This phone ruined a perfectly good romantic scene.)
Hearing that alarm, Nayan woke up rubbing his eyes, but when he saw Chandra in front of him, he was stunned for a moment. Then he smiled and said, "Good morning, sir!"
Although Chandra found his "nickname" amusing, he had already composed himself before Nayan could notice.
"Good morning. Get yourself together and come to my cabin." Saying this sternly, Chandra headed towards his cabin.
Now Nayan felt angry at Chandra for not even asking if he had been there all night, why he hadn't gone home. Still, Nayan obeyed him, went to the washroom, tidied himself up, and headed towards Chandra's cabin.
In the cabin, Chandra was sitting in his chair, and Nayan stood in front of him. Looking at him, Chandra began to speak, "You haven't prepared the presentation yet?"
Nayan replied in surprise, "Sir, I prepared it and sent it to you last night. Perhaps you haven't checked it."
"I just checked my laptop; there's no presentation here," Chandra said, pointing to his laptop.
"Sir, how can you say that? I really sent it, or maybe there was a network issue. I'll show you on my laptop." Saying this, Nayan brought his laptop, but he found nothing there either. Seeing this, he was confused and looked at Chandra.
"What happened?" Chandra asked, raising his eyebrows.
"Sir, I don't know why I can't find it," Nayan said with a confused expression.
"How much more will you lie? Just say it straight out that you fell asleep, you didn't prepare any presentation, you are irresponsible."
The way Chandra said this, Nayan's patience ran out. He looked at Chandra angrily, "Mr. Chandra Singh Rathore! What kind of game are you playing with me?" As soon as Nayan shouted this, a slight smile appeared on Chandra's face because that's exactly what he wanted, for Nayan to talk back. Nayan started speaking in anger, "What do you think of yourself? I know you're doing all this deliberately because you need a reason to get rid of me here. That's why you've been finding fault with my work since yesterday, sometimes not mentioning this, sometimes not mentioning that, sometimes you just didn't like my presentation. How am I supposed to guess what you don't like? I can't read your mind. And today you've crossed all limits, saying I didn't prepare any presentation, and I slept all night. I know myself how I stayed awake all night working on this, and in one go, you called me irresponsible and ruined all my hard work. I am human, not a machine." Nayan kept talking angrily without stopping, and tears welled up in his eyes.
"Nayan, I did this because..." Chandra tried to explain, but Nayan, with his old habit, interrupted him, "Because you want to get rid of me and replace me with the owner's friend's son, right! But you won't need to find any reason for this, because I will resign myself." Saying this, tears streamed down Nayan's eyes, and he started to leave.
Just then, Chandra called out to him and got up from his chair, "Nayan, wait..." he said, but Nayan paid no attention and just kept crying as he left.
Chandra quickly moved towards him and grabbed his wrist, pulling him towards him. Nayan turned and immediately hugged him.
"Leave me..." Nayan cried, trying to break free from him, while Chandra held him, trying to explain.
"Sorry, please don't cry, listen to me..." Chandra said, but Nayan, not listening to him, kept trying to break free.
"I don't want to hear anything you have to say," Nayan said, crying and trying to get away from him, backing away until he hit the wall behind him. Chandra stood in front of him, and Nayan, crying, turned his face aside. He was sobbing like a child. Seeing his innocence, Chandra felt affection and pity, wondering why he had treated him like this. He even got angry at himself for it. He had no idea that Nayan would become so emotional. Today, Nayan's naivete had outweighed his maturity. Nayan's tears were still flowing, and seeing them, Chandra wiped them with his hands. When Nayan looked at him, Chandra smiled slightly at his innocent face, which made Nayan angrily push him away and say, "You're laughing at my condition, you're truly very bad. I thought I wouldn't find a better boss than you because you're different from everyone else, but I was wrong. You are very bad, I hate you!"
Finally, hearing these rehearsed words, Chandra couldn't help but laugh inwardly, and his affection for Nayan surged upon hearing his thoughts about him. He moved closer and said, "Nayan, you're not understanding me, I did all this..."
Chandra had barely finished speaking when someone knocked on the door, "May I come in, sir?" It was Vedansh's voice, hearing which Chandra naturally moved away from Nayan and told Vedansh to come in. As soon as Vedansh opened the door, Nayan left angrily. He paid no attention to Vedansh either.
Seeing Nayan leave like that, Vedansh said to Chandra, "Sir, what happened to him today? Why are his eyes so red? Is he under the influence of anything?"
"No, his intoxication has just worn off," Chandra replied, lost in thought as he watched Nayan leave. (Nayan's eyes had become red from crying.)
"What did you say, sir?"
"Nothing. You tell me, why did you come?"
"Sir, there's good news. The presentation Nayan prepared that day was highly appreciated by the board, and his probation period is also ending. So, you can pass him and make him permanent here," Vedansh said happily.
Hearing this, Chandra's face lit up with a proud smile for Nayan. But now the problem was how to pacify Nayan, how to make him understand.
You've heard the song, "It's easy to appease an angry God, but it's difficult to appease an angry friend," especially when that friend is as naive as Nayan...!
