This is the story of two strangers whose lives were moving on separate paths — no similarities, no common destination. But the games of fate are strange. Sometimes it takes you where you don't want to go, and sometimes it introduces you to people you never thought you'd meet. But in their story, fate wasn't the biggest player, it was the truths and compulsions of life.

An accident — that was both a pain and a blessing. A turning point — that shook both their worlds, but at that very turning point, their eyes caught each other. This meeting was no coincidence, but rather a wounded moment in time that connected these two incomplete souls. And the relationship that formed wasn't of blood, nor bound by any social definition — it was an unspoken, unseen, but profoundly deep bond…
It was five in the morning. Reet woke up. Reet sat up in bed and looked at her three-year-old son, Aarthik. Aarthik looked very cute while sleeping. A sweet face, fair complexion, and a round face, big eyes, brown hair; once you see him, you can't get enough, you want to keep looking, your eyes won't leave him, Aarthik was that adorable. Reet, at twenty-five, was stroking his hair and reminiscing about her past. How, at twenty, her parents were looking for a boy for her marriage. Reet didn't want to get married.
She wanted to study. She had pleaded so much, saying she didn't want to get married, she wanted to study. But her parents would say that her in-laws would educate her after marriage.
Reet was the second child in her family. Her elder brother was there. Reet's brother was also not yet married. He had also supported his sister, saying that Reet was in her second year of B.Com, at least let her studies be completed. But her parents were not going to listen.
Reet's father got Reet married to Karn, the son of his office friend. Karn had known Reet since childhood and liked her too. In Reet's in-laws' house, there was only Karn and his father. Karn allowed Reet to continue her studies. In one year, Reet's studies were also completed. Reet was happy in her small family.
"Mamma, are you awake?" Aarthik said, rubbing his eyes with his small hands.
Hearing Aarthik, Reet seemed to come back to her senses.
"Good morning, sweetheart," Reet said.
"Good morning, Mamma," Aarthik replied.
"Come on, baby, wake up," Reet said, smiling.
"Mamma, why did you wake up so early?" Aarthik asked.
"Baby, you look very cute when you sleep," Reet said.
"Come on, baby, wake up quickly, you'll be late for school. Wake up quickly, are you ready?"
"Okay, Mamma," Aarthik said.
Reet quickly finished her household chores and then started getting Aarthik ready.
"Mamma, where is my papa? All my friends have their papas," Aarthik said.
Reet said sadly, "Baby, your papa lives very far away, that's why he doesn't come here."
Aarthik said sadly, "Mamma, then when will he come? When will I be able to meet Papa?"
Reet, putting on a false smile, looked at Aarthik and said, "You will meet him very soon, baby."
Reet put Aarthik in the school van, said goodbye to him, and came back home. At home, she made coffee for herself and stood in the balcony, once again drifting into her past.
When she and Karn were happy in their small life, she still remembered when Karn found out that Reet was pregnant. How happy Karn was! He lifted Reet into his lap and kissed her forehead.
"You see, Reet, I will give our child all the happiness in this world. He will never lack anything," Karn said to Reet.
Karn placed his hand on Reet's belly and said, "Baby, your papa promises you, when you come into this world, I will give you everything you need. You will never lack anything. I promise, baby."
It was ten in the morning. All the employees had arrived, and the entire building was in a frenzy, as if an inspection team was about to arrive. Everyone was busy finishing their work quickly. Everyone was focused on completing their hundred percent task. Several tables had groups of employees working. These were the ones whose work was almost done. There were expressions of happiness on everyone's faces. The company's stock prices had been soaring for the past few days; this was obviously a cause for joy.
Just then, a gleaming black car pulled up in front of the building. Before the car door even opened, the office alarm began to blare loudly, which was enough to tell all the employees that the company owner was arriving. Upon hearing the alarm, all the employees quickly returned to their seats. Everyone had congratulatory cards and a flower in their hands, which they had placed in front of their respective desks.
As the car stopped in front of the office, the guard quickly opened the car door, and a young man, about thirty-five or thirty-seven years old, emerged from the car. He was over six feet tall, with a muscular build, a slightly grown beard, and a face etched with the world's hardships. From head to toe, he was dressed in black. The only exceptions were a gleaming Rado watch with a gold chain on his wrist and a gold pen with embedded diamonds on his black suit, with the letter 'R' inscribed in those diamonds.
The young man glanced at the ten-story building standing before him and walked directly towards the office gate. He used the personal elevator to reach the office. This was Mr. Ranvijay Singh Ranawat, the MD of Royal Rajputana. For the past five years, he had been unanimously elected as the MD of Royal Rajputana. Initially, his company was only among the top ten companies in India, but since he took charge of the company, it has only reached new heights of success; as a result, it is now one of the leading companies in the world. For the past week, he had been on a world tour, during which he had overtaken approximately four companies and signed lucrative business deals with several companies, which would greatly benefit the entire industry group. Because of this, his company's shares had surged so rapidly in the market that they had surpassed a company that had consistently held the top position for the last twenty years.
His office was on the seventh floor. The elevator stopped directly at the seventh floor. As the gate opened, his secretary, Miss Arya (26 years old), was standing right in front of the door. She wished him good morning and congratulated him on the company's new milestone. Mr. Ranawat didn't deem it necessary to respond to her greeting and quickly headed towards his cabin. Arya hurried behind him, telling him today's schedule. Upon reaching the cabin, Mr. Ranawat looked at Arya. Arya understood his silent gesture and quickly nodded, saying,
"Okay sir, I'll get it."
Miss Arya let out a sigh and went to make coffee for Mr. Ranawat.
"Hi Miss Arya." As she turned with the coffee, Sarthak was standing behind her.
"Oh! Hello! You scared me!" Arya said nervously. Somehow, she managed to prevent the coffee from spilling from the mug.
Sarthak: "What happened, Miss Arya? Is everything alright?"
Arya: "When someone talks, the other person will know what that person wants; how will they know from gestures?" Arya said, making a face.
Sarthak: "Oh, you're talking about Uncle? He's just like that. I don't know what's happened to Uncle. He wasn't like this before. He was very cheerful and loving. But I don't know why he suddenly came here to America. That's why I also came to America for my studies to be with Uncle, but I've seen a different side of Uncle here."
Arya: "So why has he become like this now, Sarthak sir?"
Sarthak: "I don't know. I've known him since I was little; he wasn't like this."
Sarthak was the son of Ranvijay's friend Aditya's elder brother, but he was much closer to Ranvijay than his own uncle.
Arya: "Does Mr. Ranawat have a girlfriend?"
Sarthak said, laughing: "Do you think, Miss Arya, that any girl would become his girlfriend after seeing his anger? Well, why don't you become our Uncle's girlfriend?"
Arya playfully nudged Sarthak and said: "What are you saying, sir! I was just asking. By the way, sir, you came here, was there any particular reason?"
Sarthak: "Why? Can't I come like this, Miss Arya?"
Arya: "No sir, you can come. I was just asking."
Sarthak said, smiling: "I was just kidding, Miss Arya. I came to give Uncle a party card."
Arya: "But sir doesn't go to parties much. In fact, he only stays for a short while even at business parties."
Sarthak: "Miss Arya, you know Uncle very well."
Arya: "It's not like that, sir. I just get to know a few things about him as I am with him. Looking at Mr. Ranawat, it seems like he carries a lot of pain in his heart."
Sarthak: "Do you like Uncle?"
Arya hesitated and said: "Oh no, sir! It's nothing like that."
Ranvijay was looking at his company's shares on his laptop. Arya knocked on the door.
Ranvijay said, still looking at his laptop: "Yes, come in."
Arya came in, placed the coffee on the table, and said: "Sir, Sarthak sir is here."
Ranvijay said, while looking at his laptop: "Yes, so send him in. And is this something you need to ask? Don't you know that either Sarthak or Aditya can come into my office without permission?"
Arya said fearfully: "Sir, I told them, but they didn't agree."
Sarthak entered and said: "Hello Uncle, how are you?"
Ranvijay said with a smile: "Hello Sarthak. And what was the need for you to wait outside?"
Sarthak said, laughing: "Okay Uncle. Here you go."
Ranvijay looked at the card and said: "What is this?"
Sarthak: "Uncle, there's a party at home, and Uncle said that you must come."
Ranvijay said, slightly annoyed: "Tell me, did you come here just to give me this? You could have given it to me at home."
Sarthak: "Uncle, my hostel is on the other side of your house, so it would be out of the way for me. That's why I thought I'd give it to you while going to college."
Ranvijay said, looking at his file: "Why did you go to the hostel? Is our house too small? Since you have our house, why did you go to the hostel?"
Sarthak said, making a face: "So what was I supposed to do, Uncle? I came here to stay with you, but you went out of town for a month. So what would I do alone in that house? That's why I started staying at the hostel."
Ranvijay said, smiling: "Alright, but since I'm here now, you should shift all your belongings to our house today. And I won't hear any arguments, okay."
Sarthak said, laughing: "Okay Uncle, I'll shift all my belongings to your house today."
Sarthak got up and said: "Okay Uncle, I'm leaving. I'm getting late for college."
Ranvijay handed Sarthak his car keys and said: "These are the keys to my new car."
Sarthak, delighted, thanked Ranvijay and left, giving Arya a flying kiss and bouncing away. Arya smiled upon seeing this.
Ranvijay looked at his laptop again and said to Arya: "Miss Arya, I pay you a salary here for work, not for all this. And Sarthak is still young and has come here to study. You should stay away from him and focus on your work, okay."
Arya nodded affirmatively and said: "Sorry sir."
Saying this, Arya left.
Ranvijay looked at his laptop in anger and then shouted: "You wanted money, didn't you? For this money, you rejected my love, didn't you? I'm coming, give me back my love."
Sakshi overheard Reet's phone conversation. Reet was distressed.
"Sakshi, I need a job... can you get me a job?" Reet said anxiously.
Sakshi (age 25), Reet's childhood friend, was like family. They were school friends.
"Why, dear? What happened with that job of yours? Did the same problem arise again?" Sakshi asked jokingly.
Reet remained silent. Sakshi said in a serious tone, "What happened, Reet? Is it a big problem?"
After a moment of silence, Reet said, "Yes Sakshi, it's the same problem. Wherever I go for a job, they don't look at my qualifications. Instead, seeing me as a single woman, they think of fulfilling their lust. When I see the wrong look in their eyes for myself, I feel like taking my own life. But I have to live because of my financial situation. I don't want my child to feel the absence of his father. But what should I do, Sakshi?"
Reet started crying.
Reet was very beautiful. Rosy cheeks, large brown eyes, lips like rose petals. When a smile graced her lips, she looked even more lovely. Long hair that reached her waist. Reet was a mother, but one wouldn't be able to tell she had a child by looking at her. However, a sadness always lingered in her eyes. A smile hadn't graced her lips for who knows how long.
Sakshi understood Reet's pain.
"Reet, calm down, don't cry. The Reet I know isn't so weak that she would give up so easily. You have to show this world, Reet, that a single mother can take care of her child without anyone's pity. Otherwise, your parents will win, saying you can't take care of your child alone, and they'll push you for another marriage or take away your financial independence. You can't lose like this, Reet. My Reet can't lose, understood?" Sakshi encouraged her.
"Yes! Sakshi, you're right. I can't give up like this. I will show my parents and the whole world that I can take care of my child alone," Reet said, wiping her tears.
"That's more like my Reet! Don't worry, I'll look for a job for you. But you'll have to wait a bit," Sakshi smiled.
Reet hung up the phone.
Simran (Ranvijay's mother) spoke to Ranvijay on the phone.
"Son, when are you coming to Mumbai? It’s been so many years since I’ve seen you," Simran said.
"Mom, I'm coming soon. Now that you’ve waited for me for so many years, please bear with it for a few more days," Ranvijay said.
"Alright, son. What else can I say? As you deem fit. Here, talk to your father," Simran handed the phone to Ranvijay's father, Randhir ji.
"Hello! Son, how are you?" Randhir ji said.
"I'm fine, Papa. How are you? And how is our business doing?" Ranvijay asked.
"Son, I'm fine, and the business is also doing well. By the way, son, when are you coming? Look, son, we gave you five years, now come back. After all, how long will you keep searching for her?" Randhir ji said, laughing.
"Papa, since you gave me five years, just give me one more month. I want to try one more time. I just want to try searching for her one more time, I just want to meet her once. Just, Papa, if I don't find her this time, I will marry whomever you say. That's my promise," Ranvijay said.
Randhir ji had put the phone on speaker. Simran ji, upon hearing this, said, "Alright, son, we’ll give you one more month. And if you don't find her this time, you’ll have to marry the girl of our choice."
"Okay, Mom, I’m hanging up now," Ranvijay said and hung up the phone.
After Ranvijay hung up, Simran ji said to Randhir ji, "Can you try searching for her once more? Our son still loves her."
Randhir ji said in a serious tone, "What do you think? I've searched for her extensively. There's no city, no village where I haven't looked for her. But I don't know if the sky swallowed her or the earth consumed her. There was no news of her anywhere."
"I don't know why she left Ranvijay. Ranvijay loves her very much," Simran ji said sadly.
Randhir ji didn't say anything, just nodded in agreement.
"Ranvijay, how much do you love me?" Ashiyan asked.
Ranvijay pulled her into his arms and said, "Very much. Why, any doubt? Why?"
Ashiyan opened Ranvijay's arms and said, "Yes, there is doubt. Show me you can hold me, then I'll believe."
She ran ahead, laughing, and Ranvijay chased after her.
"If I catch you, what will you give me?" Ranvijay asked.
"I've already given you something as precious as this, I've given you my heart. What more do you want, Ranvijay?" Ashiyan said, laughing.
Her laughter echoed in Ranvijay's ears. He suddenly opened his eyes and said, "I will find you, Ashiyan, because this is your heart."
A month later
Economic, why don't you wake up early? How many times have I told you... not to use the phone at night, but you never listen to me!
Rith was saying this, holding Aarthik and walking, angrily.
Aarthik, trying to keep pace with Rith with his tiny feet, said in a disappointed voice, "Sorry, Mommy, I won't make this mistake again."
Rith stopped and sat down. Smiling, she said, "Sorry, sweetheart, I shouldn't have spoken to you like that... but what can I do, son? I got this job with great difficulty, and it's my first day... so I want to reach on time... that's why I'm a little upset. Sorry, son..."
Aarthik smiled and said, "Sorry, Mommy, don't be upset, everything will be fine."
Rith smiled and, getting up, said, "Yes, sweetheart, everything will be fine. Let's hurry, I need to drop you at school and then get to the office."
Rith was waiting for the bus at the bus stand.
Just then, a car sped past Rith, splashing mud from the ground onto her. Rith was completely covered in mud.
Rith became very angry. She was already late, and on top of that, she was covered in mud.
She shouted angrily, "Hey! Are you blind? Can't you see? If you can't drive, get a bullock cart! Don't you consider pedestrians human beings?!"
The car stopped a little further away and then came back and stopped beside Rith.
The gate on the driver's side opened, and a young man of 22-23 years old got out. Looking at Rith, he said, "Oh, sorry, madam, it was my fault. I had to get to college quickly. Wait, I'll get some water."
The young man took a bottle of water from his car and gave it to Rith.
Rith was glaring at him furiously.
The young man thought to himself, "Oh God! She is killing me!"
Rith started cleaning her face with the water, and the young man kept looking at her.
The young man thought to himself, "Oh God! She is a very beautiful girl... Yes, man! Only Indian girls are this beautiful! I have never seen such a beautiful girl. No makeup, just kohl in her eyes. What an innocent face!"
Rith, seeing him staring at her, waved her hand and said, "Oh hello, mister! Where are you lost?"
The young man came back to his senses at Rith's voice and, looking away from her, said, "Sorry, madam. By the way, if you want, I can give you a ride."
Rith looked at him and said, "No, I'll go on my own. Thank you."
The young man extended his hand and said, "By the way, my name is Sarthak, and I've only recently come to India. Before this, I lived in America, and I don't know much here yet. So, sorry."
Rith looked at him and said calmly, "Mr. Sarthak, this is India, not your America. There are more people here than in America... so drive a little slower. Goodbye."
Saying this, Rith boarded the bus, and Sarthak watched her leave, thinking to himself, "She left, and took my heart with her... Wow! What a girl! God! Please let me meet this girl again."
Mr. Saxena, what happened? Did you find anything?
Mr. Saxena was Ranvijay's manager and one of his most trusted people. That's why he had asked Mr. Saxena to find Ashiya's whereabouts.
Ranvijay said as he went into the office, "Did you find anything, Mr. Saxena, about her?"
Mr. Saxena said, walking alongside Ranvijay, "Yes! I couldn't find anything, sir. I inquired everywhere, sir, but couldn't find any trace of them. I even went to India myself. When I asked the landlord where she used to rent, he told me that she had left from there five years ago... Sir, I also spoke to her friends, but they didn't know anything either... but sir..."
Ranvijay interrupted him, saying, "But what, Mr. Saxena...?"
Mr. Saxena said, "One of her friends behaved very strangely. She was her school friend... and when I spoke to her college friends, they spoke normally, but her school friend was behaving very differently. Seeing her, it looked like she was hiding something."
Ranvijay looked at him and said, "So, did she tell you anything...?"
Mr. Saxena shook his head no and said, "No, sir, she didn't tell me anything. In fact, she outright refused to talk to me and shut the door in my face."
"Mr. Saxena, I want complete information about that girl."
Mr. Saxena nodded in agreement.
Ranvijay, turning on his laptop, said, "Alright, you can go. But remember, no one else should know about this except you."
Mr. Saxena nodded and said, "Okay, sir."
As Mr. Saxena was about to open the gate, Ranvijay said from behind, "Mr. Saxena..."
Mr. Saxena turned to Ranvijay and said, "Yes, sir..."
Ranvijay, looking at his laptop, said, "Please book me a ticket to Mumbai."
Mr. Saxena nodded and said, "Okay, sir, I'll book your Mumbai ticket today."
Reet shook her head in her sleep and mumbled something. She suddenly sat up and cried, "Aashu... Aashu! I will fulfill my promise, Aashu... I will liberate your soul, Aashu..."
Reet was drenched in sweat. Her heart was beating fast. Reet looked at the clock on the wall; it was two in the morning.
Reet was very frightened. Wiping her sweat, she said softly, "It was a dream... I have to find him, no matter what... otherwise, I will never be able to live in peace..."
Reet picked up the glass of water from the table beside the bed and quickly drank the water. Reet had now calmed down. She placed the glass back on the table and leaned her head against the wall, looking up at the ceiling.
Reet thought to herself, "How do I find him? What do I do? What I promised Aashu... how do I fulfill it?" Reet was thinking all this. Reet kept thinking like this for a long time.
Reet gently stroked the head of Aarthik, who was sleeping beside her, and said, "Aashu, I will fulfill the promise I made to you, no matter what, I will do it."
Reet tucked Aarthik in properly with the blanket and got out of bed, standing near the window. The cool air coming from the window directly touched her face. Only darkness was visible from the window; the road outside was not visible due to the darkness. That darkness had completely covered the road.
Reet muttered softly, "Just as this darkness has taken hold of this road... my life too has entered this darkness. The only difference is that this darkness cannot hold this road in its grip for too long, because in a while the sun's rays will dispel this darkness. But the darkness in my life... no ray of sun can remove it."
Reet exhaled a long breath and closed her eyes, feeling the cool air coming from outside, she started recalling her old memories.
When she was in her seventh month, she insisted on Karna that she wanted ice cream right then.
Karna loved Reet so much that he could not refuse her anything.
Karna told Reet that he would go get ice cream, but Reet insisted that she wanted to go with him. Karna tried to explain that in her condition, she shouldn't go out so late at night, but Reet wasn't one to listen to anyone.
Karna had to yield to Reet, and this was Reet's biggest mistake. She had ruined her life because of her stubbornness.
As Reet remembered all this, tears welled up in her eyes. She thought to herself, "I can never forget that night. That dark night went by, making my life dark. That night snatched my family from me, ruined me."
"What are you looking at like that, Ranvir?"
Ranvijay, who was looking lovingly at Ashiya's eyes, gently tucked her hair behind her ear with his hands and said lovingly, "Seeing your big eyes reminded me of a shayari."
Ashiya removed Ranvijay's hand from her hair, jumped up, and held his hand, saying, "Then tell me, Ranvir, what is so special about my eyes? I want to know too. Tell me now."
Ranvijay pulled her into his arms and said, losing himself in her eyes, "Alright, I'll tell you." He pulled Ashiya towards him and said, getting lost in her eyes:
"These eyes that slice our hearts
with their gaze,
They commit a crime, but...
they do it with such flair..."
Ashiya was very beautiful; hazel eyes with long lashes, a round face, skin as white as milk, a small nose perfectly suited to her face, thin lips like rose petals, and dimples on her cheeks that enhanced her beauty. She was very beautiful. That's why Ranvijay fell for her at first sight. She was an orphan; in this world, she had no one but Ranvijay.
As soon as Ashiya heard Ranvijay's shayari, she jumped up and said, "Wow Ranvir! You speak such beautiful shayari! You should have been a poet! How did you fall in love with me!" Ashiya said with a pout and ran away.
Ranvijay put his hands on his waist and glared at her, saying, "Oh really, wait, I'll tell you what I should be."
Ashiya showed Ranvijay her thumb and said, "Catch me first, then I'll see what you should be." Saying this, she started laughing loudly, and Ranvijay caught Ashiya by her waist with his hands, lifted her into his lap, and they both burst into laughter.
"Sir, we have landed."
Ranvijay abruptly opened his eyes and saw Mr. Saxena standing in front of him, saying, "Sir, we have landed in Mumbai."
Ranvijay nodded in agreement and said as he stood up, "Mr. Saxena, have you called my home to inform them that I am arriving?"
Mr. Saxena nodded and said, "Yes sir, I have called your home to inform them that you are arriving."
Ranvijay said as he sat in the car, "And the work I gave you, did it get done?"
Mr. Saxena, sitting in the front seat of the car, said, "Yes sir, I have found out everything you asked for, sir."
Ranvijay said while operating his mobile, "Good, Mr. Saxena! So tell me, what have you found out about that girl? Tell me her name, address, everything."
Mr. Saxena said, leaning his head back, "Sir, her name is Reet Sharma."
Ranvijay's attention shifted from the mobile, and he said in surprise, "What did you say her name was?"
Mr. Saxena, looking ahead, said, "Sir, Reet Sharma. Why sir, do you know her?" Mr. Saxena said, looking at Ranvijay sitting behind him.
Ranvijay started operating his mobile again and said in a curt tone, "No, I don't know any Reet Sharma."
Ranvijay said in a stern voice, "And what else do you know about her, Mr. Saxena?"
Mr. Saxena handed a file to Ranvijay and said, "Sir, this file contains all the information about Miss Reet. You can read it comfortably at home, as your home is about to arrive, so I won't be able to tell you everything about it right now."
Ranvijay nodded as he took the file from Mr. Saxena.
"Oh Ramu Kaka, quickly bring the pooja thali..."
Simran ji was shouting as she went towards the gate.
Simran ji said as she approached the gate, "Wait a moment, son, let me perform your aarti. I'm seeing you after so many years." Simran ji said, wiping her tears.
Ranvijay said irritably, "Mom, what is all this? I went abroad for three years for my business, I'm not returning after winning a war, Mom."
Simran ji said while performing the aarti, "Shut up! Let me do my work, understand? You've come home after so many years, and now you're being fussy. Look Ranvijay, you might be the MD of Royal Rajputana, but remember, I am the MD of this house, and everyone here must do as I wish, understand?" Simran ji said, glaring at him while performing his aarti.
Ranvijay looked at Randhir ji with a pitiable expression. Then Randhir ji raised both his hands and shook his head in negation, saying, "No, no, I won't say anything. Don't look at me like that, Ranvijay. Your mother is right, she is the MD, minister, everything of this house. What about your brother? You will go to your room, in fact, everyone will go to their rooms, but I have to sleep in the same room as your mother. I won't say anything." At Randhir ji's words, everyone present started laughing loudly, and Simran ji looked at Randhir ji with a killer gaze. Seeing Simran ji looking at him like that, Randhir ji changed the subject and said, "Oh, now shall we talk about all these things? Everyone, let's take Ranvijay inside."
Ranvijay's family consisted of Ranvijay's father (Randhir Singh Ranawat), Ranvijay's mother (Simran Singh Ranawat), and a younger sister (Ria Singh Ranawat) (20 years old), who was studying abroad and whose life was in Ranvijay. The eldest member of this house, Randhir ji's mother and Ranvijay's grandmother (Kunti Singh Ranawat), who is not here now, has gone to Haridwar to pray for her grandson Ranvijay's life.
Ranvijay sat with his parents for a while, then excused himself with a pretense of tiredness and went to his room.
Simran ji was sitting in her room, lost in thought. Randhir ji came into the room and saw her lost in thought, but Simran ji did not respond to Randhir's question. She remained lost in her thoughts.
Randhir ji sat beside Simran ji and said again in a very soft tone, "Where are you lost?"
Simran ji suddenly startled and looked at Randhir ji, saying, "Yes, did you say something?"
Randhir ji shook his head and said, "Yes, I was asking what you are thinking?"
Simran ji exhaled a long breath and said, "Nothing, I was just thinking about Ranvijay... about how our son has become. He was so cheerful and talkative before, always a happy boy, but look at him now. The reason for all this is that girl... in what inauspicious time did she enter my son's life? Ever since she stepped into my son's life, she has ruined my son's life. What has she done to my child? She left, and along with her, she took away the smile from my son's face." Saying this, Simran ji rested her head on Randhir ji's shoulder and started crying.
Randhir ji stroked Simran ji's shoulder and said, "Don't worry about Ranvijay, there will be someone for our son. Our God is not so cruel. God must have made someone for our son."
Simran ji wiped her tears and said, "You are right... God cannot be so stone-hearted... He must send happiness into my child's life."
Ranvijay stood by the window in his room, his eyes closed. He was feeling the cool air coming from outside. Then he remembered that Mr. Saxena had given him a file with complete information about Ashiya's friend. He quickly opened his bag and took out the file to look at it.
Ranvijay muttered, straining his mind, "Reet... Reet Sharma! I don't know why this name sounds familiar. Where have I heard it? Why can't I remember?" After thinking for a while, Ranvijay exclaimed in surprise, "Yes... Ashiya always used to talk about her. I remember, Ashiya used to say that she was her only friend in college. But for some reason, I have heard her name somewhere else too, but I can't remember." Ranvijay was lost in these thoughts when there was a knock on his room door.
To be continued
Mr. Saxena said, bowing his head, "But sir, she works in another branch of our company."
Ranvijay shouted at Mr. Saxena, "So you're telling me this now? Why didn't you tell me before?"
Mr. Saxena said, bowing his head, "Sorry sir, but I gave you that file. Didn't you read it?"
As soon as Ranvijay remembered the file, he said irritably to Mr. Saxena, "Yes, I was busy with something yesterday, so I forgot about that file. Okay, I'll find out everything from that file. And now you can go."
"Okay sir," said Mr. Saxena, and left.
As soon as he remembered the file, he also recalled last night's conversation. Ranvijay closed the laptop and leaned back in his chair, looking up at the ceiling with his eyes closed. He started remembering last night's events, when he was about to read the file. Just then, someone knocked on his room door.
When he opened the door, his father, Randhir ji, was standing outside. He had two coffee cups in his hands.
Ranvijay asked in surprise, "Dad, you're not asleep yet? And here at this late hour?"
Randhir ji said with a smile, "Yes, I couldn't sleep. Your mother, you see, snores so loudly that it woke me up. And I thought, since I'm awake, I'll have some coffee. But when I saw your room light on, I made one for you too. I thought we father and son would have coffee and talk a lot."
Ranvijay took the coffee and took a sip.
"How's the coffee?" Randhir ji asked.
"It's very good," Ranvijay said, drinking his coffee.
There was silence in the room for a while. Neither of them knew what to talk about. The father and son had met after so many years, yet there was no topic to discuss.
Then Randhir ji said thoughtfully, "So son, what have you planned for the future?"
Ranvijay took a sip of coffee and said, "The future? What do you mean?"
Randhir ji said, "I mean, son, you've made a name for yourself in your business. So now you should move forward in your life. How long will you keep waiting for her?"
Ranvijay did not reply to Randhir ji's statement.
Randhir ji spoke again, "I know, son, you love her very much, but..."
Ranvijay interrupted Randhir ji, "Dad, just say it plainly, what do you want to say?"
Randhir ji sighed deeply and said, "I just want to say that we gave you the time you asked for, but now that time is over. So..."
Ranvijay interrupted Randhir ji again, "So what, Dad?"
Randhir ji put his hand on Ranvijay's shoulder and said, "Look, Ranvijay, I don't know how to beat around the bush. So I'm telling you directly. Stop looking for that girl. And yes, as per your promise, you will have to marry a girl of our choice. We gave you the time you asked for, but no more. We can give you time, understand?"
Ranvijay said thoughtfully, "Okay, Dad, I'll do as you wish, but let me look for her one last time."
Randhir ji said angrily, "How many more times will you look for her? You said the same thing before, and your mother and I gave you time, and now you're asking for more time?"
Randhir ji thought for a moment and said, "Just one more month, Ranvijay. We can't give you more time than that. And yes, we will start looking at girls for you from tomorrow. Because of your madness, we have already wasted a lot of time, but not anymore. Understand?"
After saying all this, Randhir ji left. Ranvijay sat there, thinking about all these things. Because of Randhir ji's words, Ranvijay couldn't sleep properly all night.
Ranvijay opened his eyes and took out the file from the drawer. When he opened the file, the first page had Reet's full name, her birth date, her parents' names, everything was written.
Ranvijay slowly said Reet's full name, "Reet Sharma. I don't know why, but I feel like I've heard this name somewhere other than Aashiyana, but I can't remember why?"
As Ranvijay was about to dismiss this thought and turn the page, someone knocked on his door.
"Come in," Ranvijay said, still looking at the file.
"How are you, my friend?" a familiar voice reached Ranvijay's ears.
Ranvijay looked up from the file and at the door. His friend Aditya was standing at the door. Ranvijay closed the file and put it on the table. He happily stood up and hugged Aditya.
"When did you come here? And you didn't even tell me," Ranvijay said, laughing.
"I'll tell you everything. Aren't you going to ask me to sit, or are we going to talk here?" Aditya said, separating from Ranvijay.
"Oh, sorry, man, come and sit," Ranvijay gestured towards the chair.
Aditya sat on the chair. Ranvijay sat on his chair and said, "If you were coming to India, you should have come with me yesterday. And you didn't even tell me you were coming, I would have come to pick you up."
"Oh man, it was a sudden plan. That young man, Sarthak, has transferred his college here," Aditya said, laughing.
"But why? Why did he transfer from such a good college in America to here?" Ranvijay asked in surprise.
"How would I know, man? He came to India a few days ago to meet his brother and sister-in-law. And after that, he started telling me that he wants to study in India now, he doesn't feel like staying there. Because neither do I have time for him, nor do you, for whom he went there," Aditya said, shrugging.
"So why didn't you convince him?" Ranvijay asked.
"What do you think...? I tried to convince him a lot, even his brother and sister-in-law tried, but he didn't agree. So I had to agree to his admission. Anyway, it's better if he stays here. Now you tell me, how is everything going here?" Aditya said, raising his eyebrows.
Just as Ranvijay was about to say something, someone knocked on the door.
"Yes, coming," Ranvijay said, looking towards the door.
Miss Arya entered and said, looking at Ranvijay, "Sir, it's time for your meeting. All the clients have arrived, they are all waiting for you."
"Okay, I'm coming. You go ahead," Ranvijay said, nodding.
Arya nodded and left.
"I'll be back in a little while. Until then, have breakfast, okay," Ranvijay said, looking at Aditya.
"Yes, yes, sure, I'll wait for you here," Aditya said, nodding.
Ranvijay smiled and left.
Aditya is Ranvijay's only friend. He has no other friends besides Aditya. Aditya and Ranvijay's friendship is like that of Shri Krishna and Sudama. Aditya considers Ranvijay more than his brother, and it's the same for Ranvijay.
Aditya scrolled through his mobile for a while. After that, he started looking at the files kept in Ranvijay's office. Then his eyes fell on the file kept on the table. Aditya picked up the file, and as soon as he read the name on the first page, sweat and fear were clearly visible on his face. He slowly mumbled the name, "Reet Sharma..." As he read the file, his condition worsened...
Ranvijay stepped inside the office. He saw that Aditya was not there. He looked everywhere in the office, but Aditya was nowhere to be found.
Ranvijay said in surprise, "Hey, where did he go? Did he go home without telling me? I'll call him."
Ranvijay called Aditya. Aditya's voice came from the other side.
Ranvijay said, "You've already left, man!"
Aditya said laughingly, "And what was I supposed to do sitting there? You're busy with your work. So I thought it's better to meet your parents than to sit around."
Ranvijay said, "Oh, then we should have gone together! Anyway, tell me, where are you? I'll come pick you up right now and then we'll go home together."
Aditya said, "Oh no, no, don't bother. I'm just near your house. Man, you come comfortably, after finishing all your work. Okay? Alright, I'm hanging up now."
Ranvijay said, "Okay, fine. I'll see you at home tonight. Okay, bye."
Aditya said, "Yes! Bye-bye."
As soon as Aditya hung up the phone, the smile vanished from his face. Fear and nervousness were clearly visible on his face.
He glanced at the file he was holding in his hand. He muttered softly, "I have to hide this file and that secret, no matter what. Because if Ranvijay finds out the secret of this file, his life will be ruined, and I won't let anything happen to Ranvijay while I'm around."
Aditya thought in surprise, "But I don't understand why Ranvijay wants to know about this custom? Could it be that Ranvijay remembers everything from that night, and that's why he wants to know everything about the custom? No, no, how can that be? I remember very well, the doctor said that it is very difficult for Ranvijay to remember that night. I need to find out why Ranvijay wants to know about the custom. And if my suspicion is correct, I have to do something. I must not let these two meet under any circumstances."
Pandit Ji handed Kunti Ji her puja thali and said, "Yes, she lives nearby. She comes every day to pray. She's a very sweet girl."
Kunti Ji looked at the girl and said to Pandit Ji with a smile, "What is this girl's name?"
Pandit Ji said, "This child's name is Reet. Would you like to meet her? Wait, I'll call her now."
Pandit Ji called Reet. Reet looked at Pandit Ji and said, "Coming, Pandit Ji."
Reet stood near both of them and said with a smile, "Did you call me, Pandit Ji?"
Pandit Ji nodded and said, "Yes, daughter, I wanted you to meet someone."
Pandit Ji looked at Kunti Ji and said, "Meet them. This is Kunti Singh Ranawat. She is among the well-known personalities of Mumbai."
Reet listened to Pandit Ji's words and looked at her. In front of her stood an elderly woman, half her age. She wore a rudraksha mala around her neck, a sandalwood tilak on her forehead, a light-colored, flowing sari, and her head covered with the pallu. The experience of the world was clearly visible in her white hair. There was a unique intensity in her eyes. Her face was such that once someone saw it, they couldn't help but talk to her. She was looking at Reet with a smile on her lips.
Reet joined her hands and said, "Namaste."
Kunti Ji was looking at Reet spellbound. With a naive face, an innocent expression, a unique sadness in her eyes, and a smile on her lips, she was looking at Kunti Ji with great affection.
Kunti Ji smiled and said, "Namaste, daughter. You sang the bhajan very well. What is your name?"
Reet shyly said, "Yes, Reet Sharma. And thank you." Then, looking at the watch on her hand, Reet said, "Well, Pandit Ji, I have to go now. I'm getting late for the office." Reet said Namaste to both of them and left.
Kunti Ji watched Reet leave. She thought to herself, "What a lovely girl! Oh Kanha, send such a girl for my Ranvijay."
Seeing Kunti Ji lost in thought, Pandit Ji said, "Where are you lost?"
Hearing Pandit Ji's voice, Kunti Ji came back to her senses and said, "Nothing, Pandit Ji, I was just looking at that girl. What a lovely and cultured girl! I want such a girl for my Ranvijay too."
Pandit Ji smiled and said, "You are absolutely right, Kunti Ji. This girl is very cultured. But God tests such people. Poor thing has faced a lot of sorrow at such a young age."
Kunti Ji looked at Pandit Ji in surprise and said, "What sorrow, Pandit Ji?"
Just as Pandit Ji was about to say something, Kunti Ji's bodyguard came up to her and said something.
Kunti Ji said to the bodyguard in a serious tone, "Okay, you get the car ready, I'm coming."
Kunti Ji said to Pandit Ji, "Okay Pandit Ji, I'm leaving."
Pandit Ji nodded.
"Sir, I need to go back to America."
Ranvijay was working on his laptop. Upon hearing Arya, he looked at her in surprise. Arya stood there, looking scared and with her head bowed.
Seeing Arya like this, Ranvijay went back to his laptop and said in a serious tone, "Miss Arya, may I know why you want to go to America? Since your boss, meaning me, is in India and you are my secretary. So you have to stay with me."
Arya, mustering her courage with great difficulty, said, "I am sorry sir, but I have no choice but to go back to America."
Ranvijay said angrily, "That's exactly what I'm asking, what is such a compulsion that you are ready to leave your job?"
Arya, still with her head bowed, said, "Sir, my home is in America, and I am the sole breadwinner in my family. I don't have a father. The responsibility of my mother and two younger brothers is on me. And sir, my mother is not well at the moment. She needs me." As she said this, Arya started crying.
Hearing all this, Ranvijay's anger subsided. He said in a soft tone, "Then you should have told me this earlier. I wouldn't have brought you to India at all."
Arya, wiping her tears, said, "Sir, I thought you were coming to India for two or three days. But I found out here that you will now handle the work here, and Aditya Sir will handle America from now on."
After thinking for a while, Ranvijay said, "Okay, you go to America. I'll get Mr. Saxena to book your ticket to America right away. And from now on, you are Aditya's secretary. Okay, you can go now."
Arya said happily, "Thank you, sir, thank you so much, sir." Saying this, Arya came out of the office.
After coming outside, Arya thought to herself, "Thank God, sir agreed. I didn't know this stone-hearted man also had a heart. He's not that harsh, though. But man, I pity the person who will become this Hitler's secretary now. God help him."
Ranvijay thought for a long time and then called Mr. Saxena and said, "Mr. Saxena, listen carefully to what I am saying."
After talking to Mr. Saxena, Ranvijay leaned back in his chair, looked up, and said softly, "I am very close to my destination." As he said this, a devilish smile appeared on Ranvijay's face.
To be continued.
Pandit ji has taken the responsibility of finding a good girl for my marriage.
Simran ji smiled and said to pandit ji,
" ji, certainly. I will search for a good girl for your son."
RANDHIR ji said to pandit ji in a serious tone,
"But, pandit ji, remember that we want to get Ranvijay married by the end of this year only. So you have to find a good girl and tell us as soon as possible."
Pandit ji nodded in agreement and said,
"Yes, certainly. I'll start this work from today only."
All this was going on when Ranvijay came there and said in a serious tone,
"What's all this going on, Ma? And what is pandit ji doing here?"
Simran ji looked at Ranvijay and said,
"Son, we have called pandit ji to fix your marriage."
On hearing this, Ranvijay said in anger,
"Whose consent are you taking to get me married? Don't you think it's necessary to ask me? I don't want to get married. You please send pandit ji back."
Everyone was surprised to hear Ranvijay's words.
Randhir ji got up from his place and said to Ranvijay in a serious tone,
"We don't need to ask you, Ranvijay."
Ranvijay looked at Randhir ji and said,
"But, papa, this is a matter of my life. You can't do this on your own. I had asked you for some time, hadn't I?"
Randhir ji looked at Ranvijay in a serious tone and said,
"Yes, we gave you time, three years, and now those three years are over. We are not doing it on our own, you are. Ranvijay, don't test our patience."
Ranvijay had nothing to say. He was listening to Randhir ji silently.
Simran ji tried to convince Ranvijay and said,
"Son, your papa and I want your well-being. We all love you very much, Ranvijay, that's why we are forcing you to get married. We all want you to move forward in life. Son, you know that your grandmother's age is old now, but still, she wouldn't have left any such temple where she wouldn't have prayed for your happiness. Ranvijay, not for us, but for your grandmother's sake, say yes."
Ranvijay remained silent for some time and then said,
"But, Ma..."
Randhir ji interrupted Ranvijay's words and said,
"There is no 'but,' Ranvijay. We have made up our minds. You will get married this year."
Simran ji patted Ranvijay's shoulder and followed Randhir ji out.
Ranvijay watched them leave and muttered to himself,
"What a great coercion, friend! Who says that only girls are forced to get married? Here, even boys are not spared. What am I to do now? I'm trapped badly. I have to find out the address of that girl somehow."
Ranvijay was sitting in the car, and all this was going on in his mind. He thought to himself,
"What am I to do now? If I back out of the marriage now, my parents won't forgive me. I have to ask that girl everything clearly today and bring her to the house as soon as possible. Otherwise, my family will get me married to someone else. But will that girl tell me anything?"
Ranvijay was lost in these thoughts when his car stopped at a red light. He looked out of the car window and saw some stray puppies chewing on a plastic bag due to hunger. Everyone was passing by them, but no one was stopping to help or giving them food.
Everyone is so busy in their lives that they have no time even for helpless animals. A person can go to an expensive hotel and eat, but can't even offer a one-rupee biscuit to a helpless animal. This human is causing pollution and who suffers? These helpless animals.
Ranvijay thought about all this. For a moment, he felt like getting out of the car and feeding those puppies so they wouldn't eat the plastic bag. But he couldn't get out of the car as there were many other vehicles around and the light was about to turn green.
Ranvijay was watching those puppies with sadness when a girl came there and picked up a puppy, cuddling it. She then offered it some biscuits to eat. She was feeding the puppies with love and scolding them like a mother. Ranvijay couldn't take his eyes off her.
While thinking that no one has time for anyone in this world, are there people like her? The girl pretended to scold a puppy, making it look like she was going to hit it. Ranvijay couldn't help but smile at this.
Ranvijay watched the girl carefully. Her face was so beautiful, her smile was lovely, and her hair kept touching her face. Her pink salwar suit enhanced her beauty even more.
The traffic light turned green, and Ranvijay's car moved forward. He left the girl behind, but she had already made a place in his heart.
To be continued.
Ranjeev hadn't seen Reet because that file was lost. Today was the day when Reet stood before Ranjeev. As Ranjeev's secretary, because Arya had gone back to America, and Ranjeev's work couldn't be done without a secretary. And Ranjeev had taken full advantage of this. Ranjeev, by telling Mr. Saxena, had transferred Reet from his other company and hired her as his secretary in this company. This was so he could keep an eye on Reet and find out Ashiya's whereabouts.
"May I come in, sir?" Reet asked from the doorway.
"Yes, coming," Ranjeev said.
Reet came and stood near Ranjeev's table. Ranjeev was sitting on his chair with his back to Reet.
Ranjeev said to Reet, "Yes, tell me."
Reet said nervously, "Sir, my name is Reet Sharma. From today, I am your new secretary. This is my joining letter, and this is my file containing all my certificates."
Reet placed her file on Ranjeev's table.
Ranjeev, still sitting in his chair, picked up Reet's file from the table and started reading it. After a while, Ranjeev said, "Hmm...! Reet Sharma."
Reet nodded and said, "Yes."
Ranjeev turned towards her and said, looking at the file, "So why didn't you continue your studies after graduation?"
Reet lowered her head and said, "Sir, there were some family problems. That's why I couldn't continue my studies."
Ranjeev closed the file, looked at Reet, and his gaze stopped on her downcast eyes. Those large eyes with kajal, thin lips like rose petals, long hair, rosy cheeks, a slender waist, wearing a pink salwar kameez, were looking at him.
Ranjeev seemed lost in her eyes. Her eyes were very sad and calm, as if there was a lot of pain in them.
Ranjeev thought to himself, "This is the same girl I saw feeding biscuits to those puppies by the roadside a little while ago. So, this is Reet Sharma."
Seeing Ranjeev lost somewhere, Reet softly said, "Sir, are you alright?"
Hearing Reet's voice, Ranjeev came back to his senses.
Ranjeev looked at the file and said, "Yes, I am perfectly fine. So, Miss Sharma, what was your post in our other company?"
Reet was looking at Ranjeev with surprise and thought to herself, "He's asking as if he doesn't know."
Reet said, "Sir, I was in the account management group in the other company."
Ranjeev closed the file and said, "Congratulations Miss Sharma, you've got this job. And you can come to the office as my secretary from tomorrow."
Reet replied with a slight smile on her face, "Thank you, sir." Saying this, Reet left from there.
"Eat quickly, Aarthik," Reet said, running after Aarthik.
Aarthik ran ahead of Reet and said, "No, Mummy, I don't want to eat."
Reet caught Aarthik and said, "Just eat your food quietly, Aarthik."
Aarthik shook his head negatively and said, "No, Mummy, I want to eat ice cream."
"No, absolutely not. You just got better a few days ago, and now you want ice cream?" Reet said, taking the food plate.
Aarthik shook his head vigorously in the negative.
Reet fed him with her hands and said, "Okay, fine. If you finish all your food, I'll consider the ice cream."
Aarthik looked at Reet and smiled, "Really, Mummy?"
Reet nodded and said, "Really, son. Now eat your food."
Aarthik said, "Okay, Mummy."
Reet looked at Aarthik and thought to herself, "His face resembles someone... but who? Why can't I remember?"
Reet tried to recall, concentrating, when she suddenly said, "Yes, Aarthik's face resembles Ranvijay Sir... but how can that be?"
The same face, charmingly attractive, and he talks just like him. It's been a month since I started working with Mr. Ranawat. I've learned that much about him... and most importantly, their eyes are exactly alike. These two are carbon copies of each other.
Could it be? Mr. Ranawat has never even met Aarthik, so how is this possible?
Reet was so lost in her thoughts that she couldn't hear Aarthik's voice, who had been calling her for quite some time.
Aarthik shook Reet and said, "Mummy, Mummy, where did you go? Wake up, Mummy... Mummy!"
Shaken by Aarthik, Reet came to her senses and said, "Yes...! Yes, son, what happened?"
Aarthik said, "Mummy, what happened to you? I've been calling you for so long."
Reet gently placed her hands on Aarthik's cheeks and said lovingly, "Forgive your Mummy, son, I was just thinking. Now, tell me, what happened to you?"
Aarthik pointed a finger towards the door and said, "Mummy, someone's here. The doorbell has been ringing for a long time."
Hearing Aarthik, Reet looked at the clock on the wall in surprise and said softly, "Who could it be at this hour? Well, let's go see."
Reet held Aarthik's hand and went to the door, opening it with a bit of trepidation. Her eyes fell on a smart, muscular young man in his late twenties or early thirties standing there.
Seeing the young man, Reet exclaimed with joy, "Bhaiya!"
Reet hugged her brother happily.
Praveen picked up Aarthik and said, "How are you two?"
Aarthik made a cute face and said, "Uncle, Mummy isn't letting me eat ice cream."
Reet winked at Aarthik and said, "Oh, child, as soon as Uncle arrived, you started complaining about Mummy?"
Praveen kissed Aarthik's cheek and said, "Why not? Reet, why aren't you letting my Aarthik have ice cream?"
Reet replied, "Oh, it's nothing, Bhaiya. This gentleman had a fever and a cold just a few days ago. He just recovered yesterday. And the doctor explicitly told me not to give him anything cold for a few days. And he wants ice cream today."
Praveen looked at Aarthik and said, "That's not right. You should listen to your mother. First, you get better, then I'll take you out for ice cream. Okay? Until then, you eat this chocolate."
Aarthik happily said, "Okay, Mamu, you're very nice. And Mummy, I won't talk to you. You're very mean! Kthi... kthi kthi..." Aarthik said, bringing his thumb to his chin.
Praveen burst into laughter seeing Aarthik do that.
Reet said angrily, "Bhaiya, he's become very naughty. I'll deal with him... Come here, you..."
Aarthik got down from Praveen's lap and ran to his room.
Reet: "Where are you running? Come here, I'll deal with you..."
Reet smiled at Praveen and said, "Come, Bhaiya, sit. I'll go make something."
Praveen held Reet's hand and said, "Oh dear, don't worry. I don't want anything. I just came to see you. Just sit with me."
Reet smiled and said, "How can that be? You won't eat anything, Bhaiya? You've come to your sister's house, I won't let you go hungry. I'll be right back, you sit."
Reet went to the kitchen to get snacks.
Praveen's gaze fell on the pictures on the wall. Some photos were of Aarthik's childhood, some were of Reet and Aarthik together, and some were recent.
Reet placed the snacks on the table from the kitchen and said, "What are you looking at, brother?"
Praveen, hearing Reet's voice, came to his senses and said, "Hmm...! Nothing, just looking at the photos."
Reet offered Praveen tea and asked, "Bhaiya, how is your work going?"
Praveen took a sip of tea and said, "I'm fine, dear. And work is going well too."
Praveen placed the tea mug on the table and asked, "Are you alright, dear?"
Reet was surprised by Praveen's question and said, "Yes...! Yes, Bhaiya, I'm absolutely fine. And you know, I even got a job in a new company."
Praveen: "Oh, which company did you get a job in?"
Reet: "I got a job as a secretary to the MD of Royal Rajputana, Ranvijay Singh Ranawat."
Praveen: "Dear, I've heard that Ranvijay Singh Ranawat is a very short-tempered person. Dear, how will you be able to work with him?"
Reet: "Brother, what else can I do? For the purpose I've returned here, I have to do something somewhere."
Praveen didn't feel the need to ask Reet any further. He knew his sister was very sensible; whatever she did, she would do after careful consideration.
A silence fell in the room for a while. Then Praveen broke the silence.
Praveen: "Dear, I wanted to ask you something."
Reet looked at Praveen and said, "Yes...! Brother, ask."
Praveen: "There are only pictures of you and Aarthik on these walls. There are no pictures of Karna, nor hers..."
Reet understood whom Praveen was referring to.
Reet said in a sad tone, "That's because I want to move on from Karna. Whenever I remember that night, it feels like it was just yesterday when everything was snatched away from me."
Praveen placed his hand on Reet's and said, "You still remember all that? Dear, but it's been three years since that accident. Why haven't you forgotten all that?"
Reet looked at Praveen in surprise and said, "Forget? How can I forget, Bhaiya?"
Reet stood up, went to the window, and said, "I can never forget that accident, Bhaiya. That accident ruined me. It took my husband, my child, everything from me. That night's accident snatched away all the happiness of my life." Saying this, Reet started crying profusely.
Praveen's eyes also welled up. He wiped his tears and said, "God took everything from you, and in return, gave you Aarthik."
Reet wiped her tears and said, "Yes...! Brother, after doing so much injustice to me, perhaps God took pity on me, which is why he put Aarthik in my lap. But brother, you're forgetting, Aarthik is also someone else's trust. I have come back to this city, where Karna and I built so many dreams together, to return him."
Praveen recalled something and said, "Father left us just a few months after your wedding. And when that accident happened to you, and the news of Karna and your child's death came, that grief took our mother from us as well."
Reet looked outside and said, "If God's hunger wasn't satisfied with that, he took my father-like father-in-law from me too."
Reet stared outside for a while. Then she wiped her tears, came back to Praveen, and sat down, saying, "Okay, enough about the past. Brother, now wipe these tears, otherwise, if that naughty boy sees tears in your eyes, he'll ask me how you made his uncle cry. He's your darling, he'll scold me."
Praveen's face lit up with a smile hearing Reet.
Reet smilingly asked, "So tell me, brother, when will you get married? After all, how long will you remain single?"
Praveen interrupted Reet and said, "Dear, you've started again. I told you I don't want to get married right now."
Reet said in surprise, "Then when do you want to get married, brother?"
Praveen said in a serious tone, "Until I find out the person who ruined my sister's life, I will not get married."
...
Ranawat Mansion
"Mr. Saxena, what is it that you couldn't even wait until tomorrow morning and had to call me so late at night?" Ranvijay said angrily to Mr. Saxena over the phone.
Mr. Saxena: "I apologize, sir, but it's very important that I tell you right now."
Ranvijay said in a serious tone, "Okay, speak."
Mr. Saxena said hesitantly, "Sir, I wanted to tell you... Sir, I don't know how to say it."
Ranvijay said angrily, "Mr. Saxena, speak clearly what you have to say. Don't stutter like that with me."
Mr. Saxena stammered, "Sir, Miss Ashiya..."
Hearing Ashiya's name, Ranvijay became excited and said, "Ashiya? What, Mr. Saxena?"
Mr. Saxena said fearfully, "Sir, Miss Ashiya got married to some foreigner a few years ago and went abroad."
Hearing Mr. Saxena's words, it felt like the ground slipped from under Ranvijay's feet.
Ranvijay threw his phone against the wall and shouted, "No, this can't be true. You can't cheat me, Ashiya."
...
Mom, I am ready for marriage, Ranvijay said to Simran ji while having breakfast.
Simran ji and Randhir ji looked at him in surprise upon hearing Ranvijay's words.
Simran ji looked at Ranvijay in surprise and said, "But what happened to you all of a sudden, Ranvijay? Just yesterday you were refusing to get married."
Ranvijay looked down at his food and said, "What will happen to me, Mom? You all want me to get married and move on with my life, so I am ready to get married for all of you."
Everyone was very happy to hear Ranvijay's words. Simran ji happily hugged Ranvijay and said, "I will find the most beautiful girl in the world for you, who will love you very much and keep you happy." Simran ji smiled and said to Randhir ji, "See, darling, I told you, God cannot be so harsh with us. He has finally heard us."
Kunthiji, who was returning from the temple after praying, came to them and said, "What happened, daughter-in-law? Why are you so happy? Has our Ranvijay agreed to get married?"
Simran ji beamed with joy and hugged her, saying, "Yes, Mummy ji, you guessed right. Your grandson has agreed to get married. Mummy ji, I am very happy today. I feel like shouting to the whole world that my daughter-in-law is coming."
Randhir ji came to Ranvijay and said, "Thank you, son."
Ranvijay said in surprise, "Why thank you, Papa?"
Randhir ji placed his hand on Ranvijay's shoulder and said, "You have given us the greatest happiness in the world today, Ranvijay." He looked at Simran ji and said, "Your mother is very happy today, son. Thank you so much, Ranvijay." Randhir ji patted his shoulder and left.
Ranvijay couldn't bear this drama anymore, so he left for his office.
Sitting in the car, Ranvijay looked at the sky through the window. He said to himself, "I am moving on with my life, but I have lost to my heart. How will I move on in a home that only has your name written on it? I have agreed to get married because of my anger, but this heart still loves you. What can I do, Aashiyana? I will never forgive you and from now on, I will not search for you. Wherever you are, be happy, but no matter how hard I try to hate you, only my heart knows that this heart belongs only to you."
"Sir, you called me?" Reet said, standing in front of Ranvijay.
Ranvijay, with his head down, reading his file, said, "Yes! Miss Sharma, I had to talk to you about something."
Reet, still with her head down, said, "Yes sir, tell me."
Ranvijay said in a serious voice, "We have to go to Australia for a few days. We have to hold a shareholders' meeting there for our new restaurant. We are opening our new restaurant there, which is why we have to take a flight to Australia tonight itself. So, please book the Australia tickets for you and me."
Reet said in surprise, "Is it necessary to leave tonight, sir? We can also go tomorrow morning."
Ranvijay looked at Reet angrily and said, "Do as much work as you are told. You don't need to tell me what to do and what not to do. Are you understanding?"
Reet nodded her head in fear and said, "Sorry sir, I'll do it now."
Ranvijay focused on his file again and said, "Ok now, go do the work."
As Reet was about to leave, Ranvijay called out from behind, "Miss Sharma..."
Reet turned towards Ranvijay upon hearing his voice and said, "Yes sir..."
Ranvijay said while signing the files, "Miss Sharma, I have called my house. They will pack my luggage. You just need to go to my house, pick up my luggage, and bring it directly to the airport. And yes, since you are going to my house anyway, pick up your luggage on the way. Ok, that's all clear. I hope you understand. Ok now go."
Reet said fearfully, "Sir, I wanted to ask you something."
Ranvijay glared at Reet and said, "Ask, Miss Sharma."
Reet said nervously, "Sir, for how many days are we going to Australia? I mean, I need to inform my home, that's why I asked."
Ranvijay said while working, "I think Miss Sharma, one week."
Reet said in surprise, "What? One week?"
Ranvijay glared and said, "Why are you having any problem, Miss Sharma?"
Reet shook her head in negation and said, "No sir, there is no problem."
Ranvijay said while working, "Good. Ok, go do your work."

Ranawat Mansion
Reet was staring at the Ranawat Mansion from outside with wide eyes. She muttered something softly and went inside the mansion.
Reet rang the doorbell. As soon as the door opened, an elderly man, around sixty years old, stood before her. Judging by his clothes, he seemed to be a household employee; he had white hair, wrinkles on his cheeks, and was wearing a dhoti-kurta with an angoccha draped over his shoulder. He was looking at Reet.
Reet smiled and joined her palms, saying, "Namaste!"
The employee, whose name was Ramu, and whom everyone at home called Ramu Kaka, smiled and said, "Namaste, dear. Whom do you want to meet?"
Reet replied, "Uh... I am Ranvijay Sir's secretary. Ranvijay Sir sent me to collect his luggage."
Ramu Kaka was about to say something when someone called him from behind, "Who is it, Ramu Kaka?"
Ramu Kaka turned around and said, "A girl from the younger master's office has arrived."
Kunti Ji exclaimed in surprise, "A girl from Ranvijay's office? Here at home?..." After a moment of thought, she added, "So, will you make her stand outside? Bring her in."
Ramu Kaka nodded and brought Reet inside.
Reet looked around the entire house with her wide eyes in astonishment. In front were the stairs, which were designed in such a way that stairs came down from the right side on the upper level, then from the left side opposite to it, and then both sets of stairs merged and came straight down. Opposite the stairs was a large hall, with a Tulsi plant in the center and rooms leading off from the sides. Beyond that was another hall with sofas. Kunti Ji was sitting there, reading a newspaper. Reet stood near the door, taking in the entire house.
Ramu Kaka, seeing her lost in thought, said, "Where have you drifted off to, dear? Come..."
Reet, jolted by his voice, nodded and started following him.
Ramu Kaka brought Reet near Kunti Ji and said with a cough, "Head Madam, this dear girl has come from the younger master's office. She says the younger master sent her."
Kunti Ji, still reading the newspaper, said in a stern voice, "Yes, I know. Ranvijay had informed the daughter-in-law over the phone that his secretary was coming to collect his luggage. Ramu Kaka, please go and tell the daughter-in-law Simran to prepare Ranvijay's luggage and arrange for some refreshments for her."
Ramu Kaka nodded and left.
Kunti Ji put down the newspaper and said, "Please sit, child."
Reet replied nervously, "Yes, thank you."
Kunti Ji asked in a stern voice, "What is your name?"
As Reet sat down, she replied, "Ji, Reet... Reet Sharma."
Upon hearing Reet's name, Kunti Ji looked at her and said with a smile, "Aren't you the one I met at the temple a few months ago? Have you forgotten me?"
Reet, trying to recall, said, "No, I haven't forgotten. I remember. We didn't know you were Ranvijay Sir's grandmother."
Kunti Ji laughed and said, "And we didn't know you would be Ranvijay's secretary."
After a while, Simran Ji arrived with Ranvijay's luggage.
Reet greeted them both and then left with the luggage.
Kunti Ji said to Simran Ji, "What a nice girl, isn't she?"
Simran Ji smiled and replied, "Yes, a very nice girl."
Kunti Ji was about to say something when Simran Ji said, laughing, "Do you know, Maanji, we have found a girl for Ranvijay?"
Kunti Ji exclaimed in surprise, "What...! Who is she?"
Simran Ji said gleefully, "Our friend's daughter."
Kunti Ji looked at Simran Ji in surprise and asked, "A friend's daughter? Whose friend's daughter?"
Simran Ji replied, "Oh, our Delhi friend, you know... her daughter Tia. You know her too. She came last time when we had a party at home. I liked her from the beginning, but because of Ranvijay's stubbornness, I didn't say anything. But now that Ranvijay has agreed to get married, I will make Tia my daughter-in-law."
Saying this, Simran Ji left with a cheerful laugh.
Kunti Ji made a face and muttered, "That uncivilized girl for my Ranvijay? She doesn't even know how to dress or talk properly... I don't know what the daughter-in-law sees in her."

Reet, sitting in an auto-rickshaw, was talking to her friend Sakshi on the phone and said, "Sakshi, I need your help."
Sakshi replied, "Yes, tell me, my dear, what kind of help do you need from me?"
Reet said, looking worried, "Hey, I'm going to Australia for a week for a business meeting. Can you look after Aarthik until then?"
Sakshi said, laughing, "Is that all? No problem. Go without any worries. I will take good care of Aarthik."
Reet smiled and said, "Thank you, dear."
Sakshi pretended to be angry and said, "Hey, you call me a friend and then say thank you. Go, I won't talk to you."
Reet laughed and said, "Okay, fine, I won't say it anymore. Happy? Okay, listen, I'm leaving tonight, so can you pick Aarthik up from school?"
Sakshi said in surprise, "So you won't meet Aarthik before leaving?"
Reet said sadly, "No, dear, if I meet Aarthik, I won't be able to go. So, I have to leave without meeting him."
Reet said, "Okay, dear, I'm hanging up now as I've reached the airport."
Sakshi said, laughing, "Okay, bye. Happy journey, my dear."
Reet said, laughing, "Alright, bye-bye."

Mumbai
Mr. Saxena told Ranvijay Sir that Miss Ashiyan had left after marrying a foreigner. Mr. Saxena said this while talking on the phone.
The person on the other end of the phone said something. Mr. Saxena replied, "Don't you worry at all. Ranvijay Sir will never know that I lied to him."
The person on the other end of the phone said something and hung up. Mr. Saxena put the phone in his pocket and went about his work.
Australia
It had been two days since Ranvijay and Reet arrived. They had been meeting with shareholders.
All the shareholders were impressed by Ranvijay's hotel project. Now, Ranvijay had to present his project to the shareholders' boss and get the hotel contract papers signed.
Ranvijay's meeting with the main boss of the shareholders was scheduled for two days later. These two days felt like two lifetimes to Ranvijay. He was determined to fulfill his dream of opening the Royal Rajputsana Hotel in Australia at any cost.
There were still two days left for Ranvijay's meeting. The presentation was ready, so Ranvijay decided to explore Australia. As soon as Ranvijay stepped out of his room, Reet called out from behind, "Sir, are you going somewhere?"
"Yes, I'm going out for a while. I was bored sitting in the room, so I thought I'd wander around for a bit," Ranvijay said.
"Sir, can I come too? I was also very bored," Reet said timidly.
"Yes, why not? What's the harm in that for me? Come on, let's go together," Ranvijay said and walked ahead.
A smile appeared on Reet's face. She quickly started following Ranvijay.
After a while, they both arrived at a restaurant to eat. They placed their orders and sat in silence. Neither Ranvijay nor Reet spoke. After some time, the waiter brought their orders.
They both started eating quietly. But Reet found eating in silence strange. So, she gathered her courage and tried to talk to Ranvijay.
"Sir, if our deal goes through that day, we'll go home soon, won't we?" Reet asked nervously.
"Yes, Miss Sharma, just pray that this deal goes well," Ranvijay said, looking at his phone.
"Sir, may I ask you something?" Reet said fearfully.
"Yes, Miss Sharma, ask," Ranvijay replied while eating.
"Sir, who is in your family?" Reet asked nervously.
Ranvijay got up and stared at Reet.
Seeing Ranvijay staring at her like that, Reet, panicking internally, thought, "Now you're done for, Reet! You're also crazy. What did you need to do? Whoever is in his family, you've unnecessarily woken a sleeping lion."
Ranvijay started eating. Ranvijay was in a good mood today, so he spoke in a very gentle tone, "In my house, there are my parents, my grandmother, and a younger sister who is studying abroad." Reet was surprised to see Ranvijay talking so casually. In the past month, Ranvijay had never spoken to Reet like this; he had always spoken angrily.
Ranvijay looked at Reet and said, "Miss Sharma, who is in your family?"
As soon as Reet heard Ranvijay's question, the smile vanished from her face. She became sad.
Seeing Reet so sad, Ranvijay asked in surprise, "What happened, Miss Sharma? Did I ask something wrong?"
Reet shook her head and said, "No, sir, you didn't ask anything wrong. Sir, in my family, there is no one besides my brother and my child."
"What? Child? Does that mean you are married? Does that mean you are married?" Ranvijay asked, looking at Reet in astonishment.
"Yes, sir, I was married and I am a mother of one child, but I am not married. Rather, I am a widow."
"What...? You became a widow at such a young age? Miss Sharma, can you tell me how you became a widow at such a young age?" Ranvijay asked Reet with questioning eyes.
Tears welled up in Reet's eyes. She very carefully wiped her tears and narrated her entire story to Ranvijay, omitting only the fact that her son was not financially dependent on her. She did not tell Ranvijay this.
"Don't worry, Miss Sharma. I will find out who committed that accident," Ranvijay said, consoling Reet.
To be continued
You've gone too far! Reet, how could you forget such important meeting papers in your room? It's a good thing Ranvijay Sir didn't find out, otherwise...
You're in big trouble today, Reet! Reet muttered to herself as she hurried along.
She hadn't even had breakfast since morning, which was why she had a headache. So, she got herself a cup of coffee. In her haste, she walked into the hotel holding a file of papers in one hand and a coffee cup in the other.
Reet checked the time on her watch and muttered in a hurry, "Oh no, I'll be late! If the meeting has already started and the file doesn't reach Ranvijay Sir on time, he'll eat me alive. The same Ranvijay Singh Ranaवत who was talking so nicely earlier will show his true colors. Oh, Kanha! Save me today... from Ranvijay Sir's anger..."
Reet was so preoccupied with her own worries that she didn't notice the person walking beside her. Reet was walking fast; because of this, her foot suddenly twisted, and she collided with the person walking next to her, spilling all the coffee on him. And the papers in her hand fell to the ground.
"What the hell...!" the man exclaimed angrily, looking at his coat.
"What is this nonsense? Can't you watch where you're going? You've ruined Sir's entire outfit. Were you walking blind!" the second man said, wiping the first man's coat.
Reet glanced at the man's clothes in surprise, then looked at the papers scattered on the ground and quickly knelt to pick them up.
The man whose clothes were stained with coffee looked at Reet with a murderous gaze as he witnessed her behavior.
The man, nodding nervously, said to Reet, "Hey, you're a very rude girl! Not only do you make mistakes, but you don't even apologize!"
Reet quickly put all the papers back in the file and stood up, looking at the man.
The man was very angry. He was about to shout at Reet, but as soon as he saw her wide, frightened, doe-like eyes, he seemed to get lost in them. The man couldn't take his eyes off Reet. Those beautiful eyes, pink lips, and a strand of her wavy hair touching her cheek.
Reet adjusted her file and looked at the man.
The man was a handsome young fellow, about twenty-nine or thirty years old. He had a six-pack body, a broad chest, and was about six feet seven inches tall. He was looking at Reet, wearing a black one-piece coat.
She said nervously, "Sorry, sir, I was in a bit of a hurry, so I wasn't paying attention. I apologize."
The man said nothing; he continued to look at Reet. It was as if he wasn't even there, as if he were somewhere else.
"Please forgive me," Reet said, bowing her head.
But...! The second man tried to say something, but the first man stopped him with a gesture, and the second man stood behind him silently.
"It's okay... it's alright, you can go," the man said very casually.
"Thanks, sir, and sorry once again," Reet said, and quickly left.
The man watched her leave with a smile on his face.
The second man, who had been watching all this, said in surprise to the first man, "Sir, why did you just let this girl go? And sir, how will you attend the meeting in this condition?" the man said nervously.
"You inform them by phone that I will be late and arrange for new clothes for me as soon as possible," he said without looking at his secretary.
"Yes, sir, I'll do it right away."
"Where has Miss Sharma gone without informing me at this time?" Ranvijay said angrily.
"Sorry, sir," Reet said as she entered.
"Where did you go, Miss Sharma? I don't like people leaving without informing me. You should have at least told me," Ranvijay said angrily.
"Sorry, sir, I remembered something important."
"What important matter did you remember here? Why do you forget, Miss Sharma? We are not in Mumbai, we are in Australia, and you have work here too. It's really disgusting, Miss Sharma."
"I apologize, sir. It won't happen again." Reet said, looking around, "Sir, the meeting hasn't started yet."
"What do you think, Miss Sharma? If the meeting had started, would you be standing here safe and sound?" Ranvijay said sarcastically.
This person can't even answer properly. It's too much for me! I ran here, and in all this trouble, I even got a blister on my foot, but he's just going to stay in his grumpy mood. Oh, God, what will happen? Kanha, either teach him to talk or get me rid of him. Do something, Kanha... Reet muttered to herself.
"Did you say something, Miss Sharma?" Ranvijay said, looking at her.
"Did you hear something, sir?" Reet said, feigning ignorance.
"No, not at all," Ranvijay said, looking at his mobile again.
"Okay, sir, when will the meeting start?"
"Just when they arrive, Miss Sharma," Ranvijay said, standing up.
"Hello, Mr. Ranvijay Singh Ranaवत..." the man said as he entered the room.
Ranvijay and Reet both turned to look at him.
While Ranvijay happily went forward to shake hands with the man...
Reet's eyes widened in surprise. She said nervously and softly, "He... he's the same one..."
To be continued
This is them... Reet said softly to herself, nervously.
"Oh, these are the same people I spilled coffee on a little while ago..."
"So, is our meeting with them today...?" Reet said, hitting her head. "What have you done, Reet! If anything happens in the meeting because of you..."
"Then this person... Ranvijay Singh Ranawat won't let you live... What will you do now, Reet? You're done for today..." Reet muttered to herself, biting her nails nervously.
"Hello Mr. Ranvijay... I apologize... I'm a bit late..." the man said, shaking hands with Ranvijay.
"No problem... It's okay..." Ranvijay said, shaking hands.
"Meet her, this is my secretary, Miss Reet Sharma..." Ranvijay said, gesturing towards Reet.
"Miss Sharma, this is Dhanush Kapoor. He will be investing in our business..." Ranvijay said, looking at Reet.
"Hello sir, it's nice to meet you..." Reet said, extending her hand nervously.
"Hello Miss Reet, nice to meet you..." Dhanush said, smiling and shaking her hand.
"Mr. Ranawat, your secretary is very beautiful..." Dhanush said, smiling and looking at Reet.
"Thank you sir..." Reet said, lowering her gaze. She didn't like Dhanush looking at her like that.
"Mr. Kapoor, shall we start the meeting now..." Ranvijay said, changing the subject, as he also didn't like Dhanush's gaze fixed on Reet.
"Yes!... Yes, let's start the meeting..." Dhanush said, gesturing with his hand.
Ranvijay looked at Reet and gestured for her to start the presentation.
Reet nodded and began the presentation.
Reet was explaining the presentation very well. Dhanush's eyes were fixed on Reet the entire time. He was smiling to himself looking at Reet. And Ranvijay was noticing all of this very carefully. He didn't like Dhanush looking at Reet like that.
After some time, the meeting ended.
"It was a very good presentation, Mr. Ranawat, very well done..." Dhanush said, shaking hands with Ranvijay.
"Thank you Mr. Kapoor. So what have you decided? Will you invest in our business?" Ranvijay asked in a serious tone.
Dhanush smiled and said, "Yes, absolutely, Mr. Ranawat. Because we liked your presentation very much... and the presenter too..." Dhanush said this to himself, looking at Reet.
"Thank you Mr. Kapoor. Okay, so we'll be leaving now... we have a flight to Mumbai tomorrow..." Ranvijay said in a serious tone.
"But before you go, you both must come to our party today..." Dhanush said, laughing.
"Yes, we will definitely come. Well, we'll be going now, Mr. Kapoor..."
Ranvijay and Reet left the room.
Dhanush was smiling as he watched Reet leave. Dhanush's secretary, Rahul, was watching him smile at Reet like that.
"I want all the information about Miss Reet; who is in her family... who are her friends, everything... I mean everything... Get me her complete horoscope as soon as possible. Do you understand what I'm telling you?" Dhanush said to Rahul.
Rahul hesitated and said, "But why do you want to know about this ordinary girl?"
Dhanush said angrily to Rahul, "Just do as you are told, understand! And she is not an ordinary girl! I need to know everything about Miss Reet as soon as possible. Now stop the nonsense, let's go."
Mumbai
Ranawat Mansion
"Mother-in-law! Where is Ranvijay's father? Everyone come here quickly..." Simran shouted happily.
Randhir ji came out of his room and said, "What happened, Simran ji? Why are you shouting like this?"
Kunti ji also came out of her room and, seeing Simran so happy, laughed and said, "What happened, dear? Why are you shouting so much?"
Simran came to Kunti ji and said, "Mother-in-law, it's a happy occasion. You'll be overjoyed when you hear it."
Kunti ji smiled and said, "Oh, do tell us what the happy news is that will make us overjoyed."
"Yes, Simran ji, tell us..." Randhir ji said in surprise.
"We have chosen a girl for Ranvijay..." Simran ji said, jumping with joy.
"What? But you didn't even ask us?" Randhir said, surprised.
"Well! What is there to ask you about this..." Simran ji said, making a face.
Kunti ji explained to Simran, "But dear, you should have told us before choosing a girl."
"Oh mother-in-law, I've only chosen the girl, I haven't fixed the marriage! My friend from Delhi... Minakshi... has only one daughter, Tia... I had told you, Mother-in-law... right, Mother-in-law?"
Randhir looked at Kunti ji questioningly.
Kunti ji nodded and said, "Yes dear, she's right... But dear, I thought you were just saying it."
"Oh Mother-in-law, why would I say that? I've already spoken to Minakshi... and they like our Ranvijay a lot... They are coming to meet us next Sunday."
"Simran ji, aren't you being a bit too hasty? Oh, at least ask Ranvijay if he agrees to this relationship..." Randhir ji said, a little angrily.
"Here we go! Oh, have you forgotten? Ranvijay himself said that he is ready to marry a girl of our choice... So why should I ask Ranvijay? And Ranvijay will be back by next Sunday... so I'll ask Ranvijay... Okay... Now don't bother me... I have a lot of preparations to do... I'm leaving..." Simran ji said all this and left.
Randhir ji said to Kunti ji, "Mother, why aren't you saying anything? Simran ji is being very hasty."
Kunti ji said sadly, "Son, what can I say? After all, she is Ranvijay's mother, and she has every right... to bring a daughter-in-law of her choice." Saying this, Kunti ji left.
"If Ranvijay faces trouble this time as well... I won't be able to do anything... It was very difficult to get Ranvijay away from that girl Ashiyana..." Randhir ji thought to himself.
To be continued
Mr. Saxena said in a serious voice on the phone, "I have a task for you, Ranvijay."
"Yes sir, tell me, what do I need to do?"
"I need complete information about Miss Riya Sharma. From her parents to her husband's accident, tell me everything you find out," Mr. Saxena stated clearly.
"Yes sir, I understand. I'll need some time, but I'll find everything out and tell you soon."
"This needs to be done as soon as possible, Mr. Saxena."
"Okay sir." Mr. Saxena hung up the phone after saying this.
Where has Miss Sharma gotten to? We are already late for the party. Ranvijay said angrily, looking at his watch.
Ranvijay stood by the car and said while using his phone, "If Miss Sharma doesn't come now, I'll leave her and go to the party."
Riya said, hurrying over, "Sorry sir, I got a little late."
Ranvijay said angrily, looking at his phone, "You're coming very early, Miss Sharma!"
Riya said nervously, bowing her head, "Sorry sir."
"Miss Sharma..." he was about to say something, looking towards Riya, but upon seeing her, he felt stunned. He just kept looking at Riya.
She was wearing a red Anarkali suit with her long hair down. She had light makeup on, eyeliner on her big, thick-lashed eyes, and a light pink lipstick on her lips.
Ranvijay was staring at her, lost in thought. A strand of Riya's hair fell on her cheek. Ranvijay felt a strange sensation in his heart, but he didn't want to understand that feeling.
Riya tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear and said, "Sir, we should go now." Hearing Riya's voice, Ranvijay came back to his senses, moved his gaze away from Riya, looked around, nodded, and got into the driver's seat of the car.
As Riya opened the door to sit in the back seat, Ranvijay said in his serious voice, "I am not your driver, Miss Sharma. For you to be sitting in the back."
Riya closed the car door and sat next to Ranvijay in the front, saying softly, "Sorry sir."
Ranvijay said, looking straight ahead, "Miss Sharma, didn't you have anything else to wear?"
Riya replied, "Why sir? What's wrong with this? And besides, we are here for a meeting, not a party."
Ranvijay said, staring at Riya, "Yes, I know we are here for a meeting. And anyway, I didn't mean it like that."
Riya said, looking out the window, "I understand what you mean, sir. You mean, why didn't I wear those skimpy clothes."
"Miss Sharma, don't talk to me in that tone again, understood?"
"Why sir? You shouldn't have commented on my clothes, sir! It's my choice, whatever I wear. Who are you or anyone else to comment on me?"
Ranvijay glanced at Riya and then looked ahead. He himself didn't understand why he had said that. He had never commented on a girl's clothes before. He hadn't even told his sister, so why would he tell anyone else?
Ranvijay had commented on Riya's clothes because he had understood that Dhanush Kapoor's gaze towards Riya was not good, and the Anarkali suit Riya was wearing was designed in such a way that it was sleeveless, making both of Riya's shoulders clearly visible. In the front, there were two straps attached to the suit, which were tied to the edges of the neck and then fastened at the back, leaving the back open. Riya's body figure was highlighted in that Anarkali suit.
"I don't know what has gotten into her today. We've been working together for a month or two, but she's never spoken to me like this," Ranvijay thought, staring at Riya.
"What has gotten into you, Riya? How did you talk to Ranvijay sir? Girl, apologize. You spoke to sir very wrongly today. Riya, you've taken out your frustration from somewhere else. This might backfire on you," Riya thought nervously.
"Oh, apologize for what? Are you forgetting, Riya? This person who is causing tension is also the one! Okay, I agree he is my boss, but who gave him the right to tell me what to wear and what not to wear? Hmph... Just because he's the boss doesn't mean he owns me. You won't apologize, Riya. It's not your fault," Riya muttered to herself, making a face.
Ranvijay said, unbuckling his seatbelt, "Get out."
Riya looked at Ranvijay and said, "Why sir? Are you offended by what we said?"
Ranvijay was about to say something further, but Riya interrupted him, saying, "What? Stop talking nonsense and get out, we..."
"Sir, please, we have come to this unknown city trusting you. You cannot leave us stranded midway like this," Riya said, making a tearful face and holding Ranvijay's hand.
Ranvijay covered Riya's mouth with his hand and said angrily, "Quiet! Absolutely quiet! You don't listen to the whole thing. I've been watching you babbling for so long. At least listen to me."
Riya kept looking at him with tear-filled eyes, without blinking.
Ranvijay was getting lost in her eyes like... Ranvijay controlled himself, removed his hand from her mouth, and said, "I was saying that we have arrived at the party venue, but your babbling just won't stop."
Riya said, unbuckling her seatbelt, "Then you should have said it like that, sir! Honestly, you scared me. I thought you were angry with me, so you were dropping me midway."
But suddenly, Riya couldn't utter a word because Ranvijay was coming closer to her, and Riya's heart rate was increasing. With a pounding heart, Riya quickly closed her eyes.
Hearing Ranvijay's voice, Riya quickly opened her eyes and saw that Ranvijay was standing outside, having unbuckled her seatbelt. "Will you trouble yourself to get out now, Miss Sharma?"
"You too, Riya, what silly things you think of," Riya said to herself, hitting her forehead.
"The task I assigned, was it done," Dhanush said, looking at his mobile.
Rahul, while driving, glanced at Dhanush in the mirror and said, "Yes sir, your work is done."
"Great! So tell me, what did you find out about Miss Riya Sharma?"
Rahul said, looking ahead, "Sir, her full name is Riya Sharma."
Dhanush said angrily from the back seat, "Idiot! I know that too."
Rahul said, looking at Dhanush in the mirror, "Sorry sir. In her family, she has her parents and an elder brother. Her parents have passed away, and her brother is working as a manager in a company in Mumbai."
"And... anything else? Anything special?"
"Yes sir, the most important thing."
"Tell me."
"Sir, she is married."
Dhanush said in surprise, "What? But from her age, it doesn't seem like she's married."
"Sir, she got married at the age of 20, and she is only 25 now."
Dhanush was listening to Rahul in silence.
Rahul continued, "But sir, three years ago, her husband and her unborn child died in a car accident."
Dhanush was telling Rahul this, but his heart was leaping with joy, "What...! That's terrible that happened to her. Poor girl became a widow at such a young age. Now my work has become even easier." Dhanush was lost in his own thoughts.
Dhanush said, thinking, "So, who is left in her family now?"
"Sir, she has only a three-year-old son."
Dhanush said in surprise, "What...? But you said that her unborn child also died in the accident, so whose child is this?"
"Sir, there's a big mess going on. Miss Riya and Mr. Ranvijay have a very significant connection in all of this."
Dhanush said, "What involvement does Mr. Ranvijay have in all this, Rahul?"
"Sir, he is very much involved. Both with that accident and with that child whom Miss Riya is raising as her own."
Rannvijay sat in his seat on the ship, eyes closed, muttering softly, thinking about what Miss Sharma had wanted to say last night.
"What sir? Did you say something?" Ritu, sitting next to him, asked, looking at Rannvijay.
"Yes... no, did you hear something, Miss Sharma?" Rannvijay said, looking at Ritu nervously.
"Yes sir, I heard it," Ritu said, looking at Rannvijay.
"What?"
"You were saying that you wished you could have stayed conscious a little longer..." Ritu said, looking at Rannvijay with questioning eyes.
"What...?" Rannvijay said, flustered.
"Sir, did I mess up something at the party last night? I don't know why, sir, I don't remember anything from last night. I've been trying to recall last night since this morning, but I can't remember anything. And on top of that, this headache... I don't know why it's happening," Ritu said, placing her hand on her head.
"Calm down, Miss Sharma. Nothing happened last night that you're getting so hyper about. And this headache is probably due to working too much. Now you rest, Miss Sharma," Rannvijay said, patting her shoulder.
Ritu felt reassured by Rannvijay's words and sat back comfortably, closing her eyes.
Seeing Ritu resting with her eyes closed, Rannvijay breathed a sigh of relief and sat back comfortably, tilting his head towards the ceiling and closing his eyes.
Rannvijay thought to himself, "Man, what is happening to me? I want to forget my past, but it has come back to me again as a puzzle. Only Miss Sharma can solve it, but she doesn't remember anything from last night." Rannvijay opened his eyes, glanced at Ritu, and then closed his eyes again with his head tilted back. Thoughts of the party last night were flooding his mind.
Last night...
The party had begun. Many well-known businessmen from Australia were present, and Dhanush and his secretary were welcoming them. Dhanush's gaze fell on Rannvijay as he entered, and he approached him with a smile, shaking his hand warmly.
Dhanush's eyes were scanning the room. Rannvijay understood who he was looking for. He felt like breaking Dhanush's teeth right then and there, but he didn't want to do anything that would hinder his dream of building hotels. Rannvijay said in a calm tone, "Are you looking for someone, Mr. Kapoor?"
"Did you say something, Mr. Rannvijay?" Dhanush asked, looking at him.
"Yes, I asked if you are looking for someone?" Rannvijay said calmly.
"Yes! I am looking for Miss Ritu. Didn't you bring her along? In fact, I said that both of you had to come." Dhanush started laughing after saying all this.
Hearing Ritu's name from Dhanush's mouth, Rannvijay's fists clenched in anger. Controlling his anger, he said, "Yes, she has come."
"Oh, so where is she?" Dhanush asked, looking at Rannvijay with surprise.
"Look there..." Rannvijay said, gesturing with his hand.
Rannvijay was watching Dhanush and understood the gleam in his eyes very well. Seeing those lust-filled eyes made Rannvijay very angry.
Rannvijay had never met Dhanush before, but he had heard a lot about him. Dhanush was very fond of two things – one was cars. As soon as a new car was launched in the market, no one could buy it before Dhanush Kapoor, even if Dhanush used it only once, the new car was registered in Dhanush Kapoor's name. The second passion was to trap beautiful girls in his web of love and sleep with them. Dhanush had a habit of sleeping with a girl only once and then leaving her. Whether it was an ordinary girl or a heroine, everyone would come to him, knowing this habit of Dhanush. For one, he was so handsome that even heroes paled in comparison, and secondly, he was so popular that if any girl entered into a relationship with him, that girl's career would be made. But he could only do this with those malleable girls. He understood that these tricks of his wouldn't work on a simple girl like Ritu from the first time he met her, so he had something else in his heart for Ritu.

Ranawat Mansion...
So this is Ranawat Mansion... I will rule this Ranawat Mansion and Ranvijay in one day... That's why I am here...
"Tia, dear, take a good look at this Ranawat Mansion. Very soon you have to come here as the daughter-in-law of this house, that is, Ranvijay's wife. Did you understand me?" Minakshi said to her daughter Tia, looking at Ranawat Mansion from the outside.
"Yes Mom, I know very well what I have to do. Don't worry at all." Tia folded her hands looking at the mansion and said with a mischievous smile on her face.
Australia...
As the night reached its peak, people were coming and going to the party.
Ranvijay absolutely disliked these parties. He had always avoided these parties, whether they were business parties or family parties. He would leave early from there.
Ranvijay was not like this before. He used to like these parties a lot; meeting people, attending parties... but ever since Aashiyan left Ranvijay, Ranvijay had changed completely. He no longer liked meeting people, nor going to any party. Ranvijay felt a strange loneliness at all these parties. But apart from Ranvijay, there was someone else here who was also feeling lonely like him, and that was Reet. Reet absolutely disliked coming to these parties. She didn't want to come today either, but she had to come for Ranvijay's sake.
Reet stood aside, watching some couples dance. She didn't like the crowd.
"Miss Reet, why are you standing here alone?" Dhanush said to Reet, sipping his drink.
"Just like that..." Reet said, shrinking into herself.
"Just like that? And what is this, why are your hands empty? Didn't you take a drink?"
"I don't drink, Mr. Kapoor."
"Oh, drink doesn't just mean beer or alcohol. I meant, didn't you take juice?" Dhanush laughed, showing all his teeth.
"Oh, I see! No, I don't feel like drinking anything." Reet said with a smile.
"Dhanush, what are you doing here? I've been looking for you." A girl said, holding Dhanush's hands.
"Well, Miss Reet was standing here alone, so I thought I'd talk to her," Dhanush said, looking at the girl.
The girl looked Reet up and down and then gestured to Dhanush with questioning eyes, asking who she was.
"This is my secretary, Miss Reet Sharma." Hearing Ranvijay's voice, Reet turned and looked at him.
Ranvijay stood next to Reet.
"This is Ranvijay Singh Ranawat. I have invested in his hotel, Royal Rajputana," Dhanush said, looking at the girl.
"And this is his secretary, Miss Reet Sharma," Dhanush said, smiling at Reet with loving eyes.
The girl probably didn't like Dhanush looking at Reet so lovingly and said, pinching Dhanush's hand, "Where did you get lost? Will you introduce me or not?"
"Yes! Yes, I will. So, this is my childhood friend and my business partner, Miss Naina Malhotra."
"Hello!" Naina said with a smile.
Ranvijay and Reet also said hello to Naina.
"Hey, let's dance," Naina said, holding Dhanush's hand.
"Hey, you know I can't dance," Dhanush said, moving her hand away.
"Hey, just once, please, just once..." Naina insisted like a little child.
"Okay, okay, fine, but I have one condition," Dhanush said, waving his hand.
"What condition?"
"Mr. Ranvijay and Miss Reet will also have to dance with us," Dhanush said, looking at the two of them.
"Huh! What?" Ranvijay and Reet said together in surprise.
"No, absolutely not, I don't know how to dance," Ranvijay said, shaking his hand.
"And I don't either," Reet said, making a face.
"Hey, please don't do this. Please agree, otherwise he won't dance. Hey, say yes once, please," Naina said, joining her hands in front of the two of them.
Naina's possessiveness about dancing with Dhanush clearly indicated that she loved Dhanush very much. But looking at Dhanush, it couldn't be said that he liked Naina too. Dhanush's words only revealed that Naina was his good friend, nothing more than that. With Naina's insistence, Ranvijay agreed.
"Miss Reet, please agree too," Naina said, looking at her.
"But how..." Reet said, looking at Ranvijay.
"This is my order, Miss Sharma."
The four of them went to the dance floor to dance. Naina was dancing with Dhanush, and Ranvijay was dancing with Reet.
Ranvijay's one hand was in Reet's hands, and the other was on her waist. They were dancing together, Ranvijay was close to her within his limits. Ranvijay's body could not touch Reet from anywhere. Reet felt very good seeing all this, that even through dance, Ranvijay had not tried to touch her.
Dhanush's entire attention was on Reet. He was dancing with Naina, but his eyes were fixed on Reet. And seeing all this, Naina was getting very angry. She was now getting jealous of Reet.
It's not that Naina isn't beautiful, but compared to Reet, her beauty is nothing. Naina also has good features, but Reet's innocence adds four moons to her beauty.
Now during the dance, they had to change partners. Ranvijay held one finger of Reet's hand in his and, lifting it up, spun Reet. Dhanush did the same with Naina, causing their places to swap. Naina had come near Ranvijay, and Reet was near Dhanush.
Dhanush tightly held Reet's hand and also her waist. Reet looked at Dhanush in surprise, but there was a smile on Dhanush's face. Reet did not like Dhanush's behavior. He was not missing any opportunity to touch Reet. Reet was very angry, but she couldn't do anything.
The happiness on Dhanush's face was not disappearing, and Naina and Ranvijay noticed all this well. While Ranvijay didn't like Dhanush dancing with Reet and touching her like that, Naina felt like killing Reet. Dhanush felt like he should keep dancing with Reet like this, and Reet... Reet just wanted to leave from here quickly.
The dance was over, and applause echoed throughout the hall. Reet quickly moved away from Dhanush. She glanced at Dhanush, who was smiling at her. Reet looked at him with disgust and ran away from there.
Dhanush couldn't understand why she was looking at him like that. Dhanush had only dated Australian girls until today. They used to come into Dhanush's arms when they did such things, but Reet was not like that. He now understood this well.
To be continued...
Reet quickly got off the dance floor and stood at the side. Her throat was dry from nervousness. She looked around for a waiter. Just then, a waiter approached her.
Reet saw that the waiter didn't have water, but her throat was parched. So, she picked up a glass of cold drink and started drinking it. Reet found the taste very strange! She looked at the glass in surprise and muttered, "What kind of taste is this... it's terrible, but since I've taken it, I'll drink it!" And then she quickly downed the cold drink.
"Ma'am, your work is done," the waiter said with a smile.
"Good! Here's your money," Naina said, handing the money to the waiter.
"Now the fun begins! I've been watching this two-bit secretary's theatrics for a long time. She's trying to flirt with me."
"Where did Miss Sharma go? She's a strange girl, always disappearing!" Ranvijay said, looking around the party.
He saw Reet standing a short distance away. He quickly went to her.
"What are you doing here, Miss Sharma?" Ranvijay asked, staring at Reet.
"Huh! Are you talking to me?" Reet asked, looking at Ranvijay.
"So, do you see anyone else here besides us two?" Ranvijay asked, staring at her.
"Huh! What's happening to me? What is this trouble! I can't even handle one Ranvijay Singh Ranaawat, and now there are three of them." Reet said, blinking her eyelids rapidly.
"Miss Sharma, are you okay?" Ranvijay asked, his face serious.
"Yes, what happened to me?" Reet asked, laughing.
"What suddenly happened to Miss Sharma? She was fine until now!" Ranvijay thought to himself.
"Sir!" Reet said, coming very close to Ranvijay.
"Miss Sharma! Behave yourself!" Ranvijay said, holding her shoulders to bring her to her senses.
"Huh! Sir, I am in my senses! You, you just look for excuses to scold me!" Reet said, making a face and coming closer to him.
Due to Reet's proximity, Ranvijay could clearly smell the alcohol on her breath. He understood that Reet had drunk something, but Miss Sharma wasn't the type to drink. So, what could it be? Did someone force her to drink? Ranvijay thought to himself.
"Miss Sharma, look at me," Ranvijay said, shaking her arms.
"Huh!" Reet said, looking at Ranvijay.
"Did you drink something? Or did someone force you to drink something? Tell me the truth!" Ranvijay said angrily.
"Sir, no one forced me. I just drank a glass of cold drink. I was very thirsty, so I just drank the cold drink, sir, honestly!" Reet said, putting on an innocent face.
Ranvijay couldn't help but laugh at her innocent demeanor.
Reet was staring at Ranvijay with wide eyes.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Ranvijay said in a serious voice.
"Sir, you look so cute and handsome when you smile!" Reet said, continuing to look at him.
"What? Nothing can be done about this girl. Even when she's drunk, she'll still have fun!" Ranvijay said, shaking his head.
"Sir!"
"Yes! Speak," Ranvijay said, looking at her.
"That, I..."
"Yes! What about you?"
"Sir, I need to go to the washroom!" Reet said, drunkenly.
"Alright, go! Come back quickly because I'm very tired now, so I just want to reach the hotel quickly."
"Okay." Saying this, Reet left. Even though she was drunk, she was aware of where she was going and what she was doing.
"While Miss Sharma comes, I'll talk to Mr. Kapoor." Ranvijay said, looking for Dhanush.
"Mr. Kapoor, are you leaving?" Ranvijay said, stopping Dhanush.
"Yes, Mr. Ranvijay! I have a meeting to attend! That's why I have to leave this party." Dhanush said with a sad smile.
"Okay! We'll also leave here in a while." Ranvijay said, shaking hands with Dhanush.
"Okay, see you later, Mr. Ranvijay." Dhanush said with a smile and left.
"Where has Miss Sharma gone? Does it take this long?" Ranvijay said, checking the time on his watch.
Ranvijay waited for Reet for a long time, but there was no trace of her. He was feeling something strange. He was now worried about Reet. Mustering up courage, he went near the ladies' restroom, but he didn't have the courage to go inside. He stood outside the restroom. All the girls were surprised to see him there, and he didn't like all the eyes on him. With great courage, Ranvijay spoke to a girl coming out of the restroom, "Excuse me, madam, is there any girl inside wearing an Anarkali suit?"
"No, there's no one inside now. The washroom is completely empty!" The girl said, looking at Ranvijay.
"Are you sure, madam?" Ranvijay asked, surprised.
"Yes, I am sure!" The girl said and left.
"So where did Miss Sharma go? Anyway, she had a drink, so nothing untoward might happen. Now, where will I find her!"
"Come on, Reet, I have to reach Sir quickly, otherwise Sir won't spare me. But where am I? I don't understand anything. And why is my head spinning so much?" Reet mumbled to herself as she walked.
To be continued...
A light drizzle began outside. Ranvijay was searching for Reet all over the hotel.
Reet was nowhere to be found. Ranvijay became very worried.
Suddenly he remembered that he had looked everywhere except the terrace. Ranvijay saw a glimmer of hope on the terrace and ran towards the stairs quickly.
Ranvijay reached the terrace quickly and saw Reet getting drenched in the rain.
"Miss Sharma, what are you doing here? Come down quickly," said Ranvijay, holding Reet's hand.
"He's here, the grumpy one," said Reet, pulling her hand away from Ranvijay.
"What! Did you say that?" Ranvijay said, staring at Reet.
"What else, you are the grumpiest one. You don't know how to laugh, and you can't see anyone else laughing," said Reet, making a face.
"Miss Sharma, come down with me," said Ranvijay angrily.
"No, I don't want to go down. I'll stay here. It feels so good! After so many years, I'm getting drenched in the rain today," said Reet happily, spinning around.
Ranvijay said nothing; he just kept staring at Reet.
"Sir, why do you always look like that? Your luck isn't worse than mine, yet... Sir, keep smiling. You never know what might happen in life, and then you can't do anything but regret it," said Reet, playing with the raindrops.
"Why? Why is your luck bad?"
Hearing Ranvijay's question, Reet's laughter stopped, and she stood still.
"That's enough! It's easy to say big things. Miss Sharma, what do you know? I lost the most precious thing in my life," said Ranvijay, turning his face away.
"Who knows better than me? Sir, I have only lost in my life."
There was a lot of pain in Reet's words. Ranvijay understood her pain well.
"Sir, you know everything about me, don't you? I lost my parents, my husband, and you're telling me what losing is?" Reet said, crying.
"Miss Sharma, we can talk about this downstairs. You'll fall sick here," said Ranvijay, taking off his coat and putting it on Reet.
"No, I don't want to go, Sir. Please, I feel so good here," said Reet happily.
"As you wish, Miss Sharma, I'm leaving, because I don't mind being sick," said Ranvijay as he walked away.
"Sir, don't go," said Reet, making a face.
"No thanks, I'm not interested. Enjoy yourself only." Saying this, Ranvijay stood a little distance away, near the door.
Reet was completely intoxicated. She had no idea what she was doing.
Reet was thoroughly enjoying the rain. Sometimes she swayed with joy, and sometimes she played with the raindrops.
Ranvijay was watching all this from a distance, and a smile, unknowingly, appeared on his face seeing Reet's innocence.
"Miss Sharma, that's enough now, let's go. It's very late. I think the party must be over too," said Ranvijay, holding Reet's hand.
"No, I don't want to go. God, you are so grumpy! Have you always been like this, Sir? You don't even know how to laugh," said Reet, taking Ranvijay's face in her hands.
"Miss Sharma, what are you doing? Let's go now, this is too much drama," said Ranvijay, exasperated.
"No, I will only leave if you show me your smile," said Reet, stubbornly like a child.
"God, what new trouble have I gotten into now! Miss Sharma, you are making me angry!"
"No, no, I don't want to hear anything. If you smile, I'll quietly go with you," said Reet like an innocent child.
"God, you won't agree, will you," said Ranvijay, tilting his head towards the sky.
Reet quickly shook her head in negation.
"Okay, fine." Saying this, Ranvijay started looking at Reet while smiling.
Ranvijay smiled as if someone had held a gun to his head and told him to smile or else he was finished.
"Ugh! Is that how you smile? You smile so horribly! Mukesh smiles better than you," said Reet, making a face.
Hearing Reet's words, Ranvijay looked around shyly.
"How does he laugh? Yes..." said Reet, thinking. "Mukesh is happy... Yes, hahahaha..." Seeing Reet acting like Mukesh made Ranvijay laugh.
Ranvijay was so handsome that he was incomparable. His face while laughing looked no less than that of a royal prince. He looked so captivating while laughing that despite being so intoxicated, Reet couldn't take her eyes off his face.
Ranvijay felt two eyes were fixed on him, so he composed himself and said, "Now that you're done, shall we go?"
"But Sir, I love the rain," Reet was starting to feel cold. She said, shivering.
"Yes, that is visible. But now it's too much," said Ranvijay, becoming serious.
Ranvijay put Reet in the car. Just then, Ranvijay felt he should get some clothes for Reet. Thinking this, Ranvijay stopped the car in front of a shopping mall.
"Miss Sharma, I'll be back in a moment, and you will not get out of the car, okay? Are you understanding?" said Ranvijay, unbuckling his seatbelt.
"Hmm!" said Reet, making a face.
A little later, Ranvijay came back to the car with some items and handed them to Reet.
Ranvijay had come in a hurry, so his wallet was in his hand. He placed his wallet nearby and started driving.
Reet, like a child, happily looked at the items Ranvijay had brought, when her gaze suddenly fell on Ranvijay's wallet, and she picked it up nervously.
"This! Do you know him, Sir!" said Reet in a tearful voice.
Hearing Reet's words, Ranvijay glanced at his wallet, which still had Ashiya's photo in it.
"Hmm!" said Ranvijay sadly.
"Why? Miss Sharma, do you know her?" Ranvijay said excitedly. He thought she might tell him something about Ashiya.
"Yes, she is my friend," said Reet, bringing a sad smile to her face and gently stroking Ashiya's photo.
"So where is your friend now?" Ranvijay said very excitedly.
"You didn't tell me how you know her?" Reet said, surprised.
"That I... forget about me, you tell me where your friend is now!"
"She, Sir, she is there..."
"Yes! Tell me where she is, what happened? Why did you go quiet?" Ranvijay was about to say something looking at Reet when he saw that Reet had fallen asleep.
Reet had fallen asleep due to intoxication from the drink. Ranvijay, with a sad smile, thought to himself, "It seems God doesn't want me to ever meet Ashiya! But I have understood one thing, Miss Sharma knows a lot about you."
Ranawat Mansion...
"Yes, I have arrived at Ranawat Mansion. Hey, don't worry, I know what I have to do!" Tia said, talking on the phone.
"Yes! Ranvijay hasn't arrived yet. But don't worry, I will trap him in the net of my love such that he will say Tia even in his sleep and will say Tia when he wakes up and sits."
"You just wait! I will definitely complete the work I came here for, even if I have to give my life for it!"
Who was this Tia, and with what purpose had she come to Ranawat Mansion, and whom was she talking to? To know all this, keep reading... Dil Hai Tumhara...
