A program was organized by Krishna Mandal at the Kolkata University grounds for the Janmashtami festival. The puja was scheduled for midnight. Before that, some events were planned, including Radha-Krishna dance, Krishna Leela, and much more. A large crowd had gathered at the grounds; it looked exactly like a fair.
Mr. Vinoy Roy Sen (Dev's dad) was invited as the Chief Guest. Although everyone had heard of Dev Roy Sen, no one had actually seen him. However, everyone knew Vinoy Roy Sen very well as he was one of the state's prominent businessmen.
