Natraj Dance Academy...
In the middle of a large hall stands a 20-year-old girl. She is wearing a red Anarkali suit and has tied her dupatta around her waist. The rhythm of ghungroos on her feet and various mudras forming in her hands. She dances to classical music as if Lord Natraj himself were performing there. As the music ends and the girl's feet stop, the other girls present and Guru Maa start clapping loudly, looking at the girl.
The girl looks at Guru Maa with a smile. Guru Maa walks over to her and, placing her hand on her cheek, says, "Today, I truly felt that what I taught you is very little. You do much better than that."
A smile appears on the girl's face, and she bends down to touch Guru Maa's feet. Guru Maa blesses her and says, "Chahat, I am very happy that I have made you proficient in this art. But I want you to reach much greater heights. You are not just my student; you are like my child. I have taught you dance since childhood, which is why I want this disciple of mine to make a name for herself all over the world."
Chahat looks at her Guru Maa and, joining her hands, says, "Guru Maa! Whatever I have learned, I have learned from you. I am happy that you liked my dance, and to be honest, opening a dance school is also my dream, but you know my compulsions."
Guru Maa exhales deeply and says, "We will talk about this later. Go now, have some water."
Chahat Bansal. A 20-year-old beautiful, cultured, and skilled Kathak dancer. Her slender body and delicate arms and legs, when she dances, it feels as if time should stop and her dance should continue forever. Dark eyes and long hair, which she often braids and brings forward. A golden bindi on her forehead and a gold nose ring. When she smiles with her slightly crooked teeth, her smile enchants anyone.
Chahat goes to the water cooler, takes out a glass, and drinks water when her friend, of the same age, Prerna, arrives. Seeing Chahat, Prerna puts her hand on her shoulder and gives her a side hug, saying, "Hi, my dear! You did wonders. To learn dance like you, I'll have to take another birth."
Hearing Prerna's words, Chahat starts laughing and says, "Oh, you liar! You also learn dance in this academy with me, and you're telling me you need another birth. You don't dance badly either. I've seen your dance; you dance very well."
Prerna says playfully, "Yes... I dance well. But you dance exceptionally well. Watching you dance makes me wish you would just keep dancing, and I would keep playing the rhythm of ghungroos to your beat."
Hearing Prerna's words, Chahat also starts laughing. Their dance class ends, and they both come out of the dance school. As Prerna gets into her car, she says to Chahat, "If you want, I can drop you home? But Chahat quickly says, "Oh no, no! There's no need for that. I brought my scooter today."
Prerna makes a face and says, "You've brought that jalopy again."
Chahat looks at Prerna with pitiful eyes and says, "Don't say that, dear. I bought it second-hand on installments."
Prerna slaps her forehead and says, "Oh, you idiot! If you had to buy it on installments, you should have at least bought a brand new one."
Chahat says helplessly, "But where do I have that much money to buy a brand new scooter? I had to work double shifts and tutor children to save up for this second-hand scooter. Otherwise, I wouldn't have even gotten this."
Prerna says, "What's the use of being the daughter of such a big family when you have to struggle for every penny? The Bansal family has a name, a status in this entire city. And you! Daughter of that house, you manage your expenses by saving every rupee. Both your brothers are big businessmen. Just yesterday, your elder brother's picture was in a magazine, and your younger brother's name is also nominated for Business of the Year this year. Tell me, a girl from such a prominent family, and you're riding a second-hand scooter like this? Aren't your brothers ashamed?"
Hearing Prerna's words, Chahat's face falls. She was telling the truth; her family was a well-known affluent family in this city, and yet she managed her expenses by saving every rupee. What could she tell Prerna about why she didn't take her brothers' money, or why her situation was like this? Chahat quickly says, "Forget all that, and tell me... I asked you about a job, right? Please, if you find any work, let me know. I really need a job."
Prerna sighs deeply and says, "Yes... I've spoken to a couple of places. As soon as I get any update, I'll call you."
Chahat happily nods in affirmation. Prerna and Chahat get into their respective vehicles and leave. As Chahat is riding her scooter, a black car speeds past her. Chahat quickly stops her scooter, otherwise, the car was going so fast that Chahat's scooter had lost its balance. Chahat looks at her scooter in surprise, wondering if it was damaged. Just then, she hears a loud scream.
Chahat's eyes widened with fear when she looked that way. The black car had hit an innocent cyclist, and the man on the bicycle was now writhing on the road.
But Chahat saw that the car did not stop after hitting the man. Instead, it was driving straight ahead. A crowd of people began to gather around the man. Chahat became very angry. How could the driver of that car be so careless that he injured a passerby in such a way and drove off without even looking back to help?
Chahat knew all the shortcuts here. She started her scooter and quickly took a shortcut to get to the other side. The black car had just taken its first turn when it suddenly braked and stopped. Because Chahat was standing there on her scooter, having taken the shortcut, she had arrived before the car.
Chahat gets out of her vehicle and approaches the black car angrily, hitting its bonnet and saying, "Hey driver! Get out!"
For the first two minutes, the car door doesn't open. But then Chahat hits the bonnet again with force and says, "Can't you hear me? I said get out."
Just then, the car door opens, and a man emerges. Chahat looks at the man, and her eyes widen. A man with a height of 6 feet, a muscular body, and an utterly deadly personality stepped out of his car.
His light hair fluttered in the wind, a light beard on his face, and a mole below his lip. Oh, this man was going to take lives! His lips were slightly dark, as if from smoking, and his steely eyes were currently fixed on Chahat.
The man who had just gotten out of the car looked at Chahat, gritting his teeth in anger, and said, "If you want to die, go die somewhere else."
Chahat, who had been lost in his god-like personality, snapped back to reality when he spoke and remembered what the man had done. Chahat's face also flushed with anger, and she said,
"You own such an expensive car but have such cheap intentions. Is this road your father's? You weren't driving, you were flying. And not just flying the car, you run over people walking on the road too. But at least show some humanity. You could have gone and helped him."
The man with steely eyes said, "What nonsense are you talking? Did you escape from a mental asylum? Get out of my way, or my car will run you over."
Chahat's mouth fell open at his words. But she looked at the man with steely eyes, her face full of anger, and in the next moment, she grabbed his arm. The man looked at Chahat in surprise. But Chahat, without any fear, started dragging him towards the road, and the man followed her, looking at her with astonished eyes.
Chahat brought the man to the accident site where the injured man was writhing. Chahat brought the man with steely eyes to the injured man and said, "You caused this accident. You hit him with your car. Now it is your duty to take him to the hospital and get him treated."
The man with steely eyes first looked at the injured man writhing from the accident with his sharp gaze, then at Chahat, and said, "So you mean to say that this man's accident happened because of my car? And you want me to pick him up, put him in my car, and take him to the hospital?"
Chahat nodded her head with a big yes.
The man with steely eyes said with great confidence,
"And what if I don't?"
Chahat replied with the same confidence, "Then I will complain to the police. You broke traffic rules and tried to take a person's life."
Natraj Nritya Shala...
In the center of a large hall stands a 20-year-old girl. She is wearing a red Anarkali suit and has tied her dupatta around her waist. The rhythm of ghungroos on her feet and various mudras forming in her hands. She is dancing to classical music as if Lord Natraj himself were performing there. As soon as the music ends and the girl's feet stop, the other girls and the Guru Maa present start clapping loudly upon seeing her.
The girl smiles at Guru Maa. Guru Maa comes to her, places her hand on her cheek, and says, "Today, I truly feel that what I have taught you is very little. You do much better than that."
A smile appears on the girl's face, and she bows down to touch Guru Maa's feet. Guru Maa blesses her and says, "Chahat, I am very happy that I have made you proficient in this art. But I want you to reach greater heights. You are not just my student; you are like my child. I have taught you dance since childhood, so I want this disciple of mine to make a name for herself all over the world."
Chahat looks at her Guru Maa and says with folded hands, "Guru Maa! Whatever I have learned, I have learned from you. I am happy that you liked my dance, and to be honest, it is also my dream to open a dance school, but you know about my limitations."
Guru Maa sighs deeply and says, "We will talk about this later. You go and drink some water first."
Chahat Bansal. A beautiful, well-behaved, and skilled Kathak dancer of 20 years. Her slender body and thin arms and legs, when she dances, it feels as if time should stop, and her dance should go on forever. Dark eyes and long hair, which she often braids and keeps in front. A golden bindi on her forehead and a gold nose ring. When she smiles with her slightly crooked teeth, her smile captivates anyone.
Chahat goes to the water cooler, takes a glass, and drinks water when her friend Preeti, of the same age as Chahat, arrives. Preeti sees Chahat, places her hands on her shoulders, and gives her a side hug, saying, "Oh my darling! You were amazing. I'll have to take another birth to learn dance like you."
Hearing Preeti's words, Chahat starts laughing and says, "Oh, you liar! You also learn dance at this academy, and you're telling me you need another birth. You don't dance badly either. I've seen your dance. You dance very well."
Preeti says playfully, "Yes... I dance well. But you dance exceptionally well. Watching you dance, it feels like you just keep dancing, and I should keep playing the ghungroo beat for you."
Chahat also laughs at Preeti's words. Their dance class ends, and both of them come out of the dance school. As Preeti gets into her car, she asks Chahat, "If you want, I can drop you home? But Chahat quickly says, "Oh no, no! That's not necessary. I came by scooter today."
Preeti makes a face and says, "You came with that jalopy again."
Chahat looks at Preeti with pitiful eyes and says, "Don't say that, dear. I bought it second-hand on installments."
Preeti hits her forehead and says, "Oh, you crazy girl! If you had to buy on installments, you should have at least bought a brand new one."
Chahat says helplessly, "But I don't have that much money to buy a brand new scooter. I worked double shifts and tutored children to earn this second-hand scooter. Otherwise, I wouldn't even have this."
Preeti says, "What's the point of being the daughter of such a big family when you have to struggle for every penny? The Bansal family has a name and prestige in this entire city. And you! The daughter of that house, you manage by saving every rupee. Both your brothers are big businessmen. Just yesterday, your elder brother's picture was in a magazine, and your younger brother is also nominated for Business of the Year this year. Tell me, how can a girl from such a big family be riding a second-hand scooter like this? Aren't your brothers ashamed?"
Chahat's face falls upon hearing Preeti's words. Preeti was right; her family was a well-known rich family in this city, and yet she managed her expenses by saving every rupee. What could she tell Preeti now about why she doesn't take her brothers' money or why her situation is like this? Chahat quickly says, "Forget all that, and tell me... I had asked you about a job, right? Please, if you know of any work, let me know. I really need a job."
Preeti sighs deeply and says, "Yes, I've spoken to a couple of places. As soon as I get an update, I'll call you."
Chahat is happy and nods her head. Preeti and Chahat get into their vehicles and leave. As Chahat was going on her scooter, a black car sped past her. Chahat quickly stopped her scooter, otherwise, the car was moving so fast that Chahat's scooter lost its balance. Chahat was looking at her scooter in surprise to see if it was damaged, when she heard a loud scream.
The man with steely eyes narrowed his eyes and looked Chahat up and down with his sharp gaze. Everyone there was watching this scene with astonishment.
Then, in a moment, everything changed, and no one understood anything. The man with steely eyes pulled a gun from behind his waist and shot the injured man lying on the road in the chest.
Chahat covered her mouth, and a loud scream escaped her. Chahat's entire face was filled with fear, and her eyes widened in surprise.
The man with steely eyes took out a wad of cash from his pocket and threw it on the injured man, who was now dead. He walked up to Chahat and leaned close to her ear, breathing his warm breath into her ear, and said,
"Now, you can perform his last rites if you wish. And you can also go to the police station and file a complaint against me. You can tell them that I took someone's life on the road."
Chahat kept looking at the man with steely eyes, trembling with fear. Seeing the sweat on Chahat's face, a devilish smile appeared on the man's face, and he wiped the sweat from her forehead with his gun, saying, "Tapish Randhawa." When you go to file a complaint, the name will be necessary. Be sure to tell them my name.
Chahat's vehicle stops in front of a mansion. She quickly gets off her scooter and rushes into the house. Upon entering, her eyes widen in surprise because her two brothers, both sisters-in-law, and a few other people were sitting in the living room. They are surprised to see Chahat, but she ignores them all and heads straight for her room.
Reaching her room, Chahat first closes the door and then goes directly into the bathroom. She turns on the shower and sits on the floor beneath it. She pulls her knees to her chest, wraps her arms around them, and buries her face in her knees, sobbing. Chahat was terrified when Tapish shot that man. Her hands and feet began to tremble. This was the first such scene she had witnessed, and she had not expected such an incident.
Tapish had left, but Chahat remained standing there, watching the scene for a long time. Even when the police arrived, Chahat was still standing there, looking at the dead man.
As Chahat was grappling with her inner fear, there was a knock on the bathroom door. Her two sisters-in-law were at the door, calling out to her. "Chahat, come out. We need to talk to you."
Chahat looks at the door in surprise. How would she face her sisters-in-law? Her face was etched with fear. But still, she couldn't stay in the bathroom forever. Chahat gets up and, wrapping a towel around herself, opens the door. Her two sisters-in-law are surprised when they see her. Her younger sister-in-law asks, "Do you bathe with your clothes on?"
Chahat says nothing, just looking at her sisters-in-law. Then her elder sister-in-law puts a hand on Chahat's shoulder and pulls her out, saying, "Oh, Megha! Why are you bothering her? Whether she bathes with clothes on or however she wants, our Chahat is beautiful as she is. She looks clean and fresh even without bathing."
Whatever fear, nervousness, and dread Chahat had felt for Tapish vanished in an instant, and she looked at her sisters-in-law in astonishment. How were mangoes growing on a neem tree?
These sweet words from her sisters-in-law were hard for Chahat to digest. Her sisters-in-law usually spewed venom towards Chahat every morning. But why were they speaking so sweetly today?
Chahat looked at her sisters-in-law in surprise. Then her younger sister-in-law, Megha, came to Chahat and, drying her hair with a towel, said, "You're right, Anita bhabhi! Our Chahat is so beautiful that she doesn't need to do anything."
Chahat looked at her sisters-in-law, Anita and Megha, in surprise and asked, "What are you two talking about? I don't understand anything!"
Just then, Anita picked up a sari from the sofa and handed it to Chahat, saying, "You don't need to understand anything, you need to get ready. Take this sari and get ready quickly."
Chahat looked at the sari with surprise. She recognized the sari well. It was the most expensive sari from the most expensive shop, which her sister-in-law had bought last month. Her sister-in-law hadn't worn it even once and didn't let anyone even look at it. Today, she was offering it to Chahat and asking her to get ready. Chahat looked at her sister-in-law in surprise and asked, "Bhabhi! Why are you giving me your sari?"
Megha said, "Because the clothes you have won't do for meeting guests. So, quietly wear this sari and get ready."
Chahat still didn't understand anything and looked at them in surprise. Anita winked at Megha, shaking her head no, and said to Chahat with a smile, "Chahat! Don't mind what Megha says. You know she says anything, anywhere. Actually, some special guests of your brothers are here and they want to meet you. That's why we want you to wear this sari in front of them. Won't you do this much for your family?"
Chahat was surprised but still said nothing and quietly took the sari into the bathroom. Anita and Megha exchanged a mysterious smile.
Chahat got ready wearing the sari. Her two sisters-in-law helped her get ready. Chahat was very surprised as to why she was being dressed up so much just to meet a guest, but she still didn't say anything because it was a matter of her family's honor.
Her two sisters-in-law brought her out. Chahat saw her two brothers, Jai Bansal and Pushkar Bansal, sitting on the sofa. In front of them sat a 50-year-old woman wearing a heavy sari and a heavy necklace set. Beside her sat a 55-year-old man wearing a safari suit, and next to him sat a 30-year-old man with a mustache, dressed in a business suit.
Anita and Megha bring Chahat and seat her on one side of the sofa. Chahat sits there gently and says Namaste to all of them.
The boy sitting in the business suit looked Chahat up and down as if his gaze was piercing through her clothes.
Chahat wasn't getting a good vibe from that boy. She quickly lowered her face. Chahat's elder brother, Jai, said...
"Mr. Gupta! This is my sister, Chahat."
Chahat looked at her brother in surprise. Her brother had introduced her as his sister. Tears welled up in Chahat's eyes, but just then, Anita sat next to Chahat, took her face in her hands, and said, "Mrs. Gupta! You will never have any complaint about our Chahat.
She is perfect in everything. She cooks very well, and she is so fond of embroidery. She herself has done the embroidery on most of my sarees and dupattas. And not only that, she has a master's degree in classical dance, Kathak."
Mrs. Gupta said, picking up a teacup from the table, "Oh, what do we need all this dance for? We are not going to have her perform mujra, are we?"
As she said this, everyone sitting there started laughing. But Chahat felt very hurt by her words. She was also very surprised as to why her sisters-in-law were praising her like this. But when they compared Chahat's dance to a mujra dance, a pang of pain arose in her heart. Kathak is her passion, her art, and her art was being mocked in this manner. But the most painful thing was that her own family was also involved in all this.
Mr. Gupta said, "Look, Bansal sahib! The fact of the matter is clear. Anyway, what else do we need? Just that she can keep your sister Bhanu happy. After all, she has to marry Bhanu, right?"
As soon as Chahat heard this, her eyes widened in surprise. Here, her marriage was being discussed.
***
Chahat slammed the earrings she was wearing on the table in anger and said, looking at her sisters-in-law, "Why didn't you tell me anything about this? Why didn't you tell me that these people have come for my marriage proposal? How could you all do this? How can you make such a big decision of my life without asking me?"
Just then, Pushkar and Jai came in and said, "What is there to ask you? We are your brothers. We know better than you what is good for you and what is bad."
Chahat said, looking at both her brothers, "Really? You know me better than I know myself? If that's the case, then tell me, what is my favorite color? What do I like to eat? What place do I like to go to? Tell me, if you truly love me this much... then you must know all this, right?"
Jai and Pushkar looked at each other, but they had no answer. Chahat said, "See... you have no answer. Because you don't know anything about it. You don't know anything about me.
Anita came to Chahat, held her by the arm, pulled her towards her, and said, "So what if we don't know? It doesn't mean you are not their sister. And will we think something bad about you? Oh, we are getting you married. It's every girl's dream to get married into a good family, and you can't find a better boy than Bhanu."
Chahat said, "How have you all decided that I cannot find a better boy than Bhanu? Just because you like him? Do you even know who that person is? A few months ago, his name came up in a girl's rape case, and you want me to marry such a person and settle down?"
But Jai stepped forward and said, "Chahat! Bhanu has been falsely accused. That girl herself confessed in court that Bhanu did nothing, and the court also gave him a clean chit. And don't forget, they are also very rich in status and money. So you will be happy there."
Chahat said, "Since when did you start worrying about my happiness? Until yesterday, you didn't even like my face, and today you are so concerned about my likes and dislikes?"
Megha said, looking at Chahat, "Yes, you said it right. We don't like your face either because you are the illegitimate daughter of this house."
As soon as Megha said this... Chahat's eyes widened in surprise, and she just kept looking at Megha. Megha continued, "Why? Can't you bear the truth? That's the truth. You are the illegitimate daughter of this house. The result of our father-in-law's dalliances. He spent his nights with a maid, and you are the consequence of that. You should be grateful to your grandfather, whose wish it was to have a girl in his house. But unfortunately, he only had two grandsons, no granddaughters. That's why our mother kept you with her like a daughter in this house.
But after he passed away... none of us could get rid of you from this house, no matter how much we wanted to. And you kept troubling us. We were all just waiting for the day when you would get married and leave here. Or, I should say, when we would be free of you. You should consider yourself lucky that Bhanu's marriage proposal has come your way."
10 days later
Chahat was sitting on her dressing table, dressed in her wedding attire. She looked very beautiful in her bridal outfit, but there was no glow on her face. Her eyes seemed sad.
Anita and Megha were doing her makeup. Just then, the door to her room opened, and Prerna came in.
"Anita Bhabi, Megha Bhabi! They are calling you outside," Prerna said.
Megha put down the gajra she was holding and said to Prerna, "Okay, go ahead. You set her hair and put a dupatta on her. We'll go and check the preparations outside."
Anita and Megha left the room. After they left, Prerna closed the door and came to Chahat.
She sat in front of Chahat and said, "Have you lost your mind? How can you marry that idiot? Have you gone crazy? There's a huge mess going on here, and you don't understand. This is all a deal. I came back and heard them talking. Your brothers made a deal for your marriage, and in return, Bhanu gave your brother a tender."
Chahat's eyes welled up with tears.
"I don't know what I can do," she said. "I tried to tell them I didn't want this marriage, but...but they didn't listen."
Chahat began to tell Prerna about that day when she refused the marriage and fought with her family.
"I know I'm not the legitimate daughter of this house," she said, "but I'm still your sister. How can you humiliate me like this? I know you never loved me. Even when Dadaji was alive, he was the only one who cared about me. But after he passed away, you treated me like a servant. I would have left this house a long time ago, but...but I love Gudiya."
Prerna's eyes filled with tears.
"I didn't think Jay Bhaiya could do something like this," she said. "He became the enemy of his own daughter's life just to marry you to Bhanu. If you hadn't agreed to the marriage, maybe Gudiya wouldn't be alive today."
Chahat wiped her tears and said, "What difference does it make what's right or wrong? I just know that if my life can save Gudiya's, I'll sacrifice my life for hers."
Prerna didn't say anything else. She picked up the gajra from the dressing table and tried to put it in Chahat's hair.
But the gajra wouldn't stay in Chahat's hair. Prerna tried hard, but it didn't work. Just then, the door opened, and a girl came in.
"Did you call me, Didi?" she asked.
Prerna said, "Go tell Pandit Ji that the girl will be there in two minutes. I just need to do her hair."
Anita and Megha came in and said, "Let's go! Pandit Ji is calling. The auspicious time is passing."
Chahat stood up and said, "But Bhabi, my hair is undone."
Anita put a dupatta on Chahat's head and said, "Leave it, it's okay. We can fix it later. Let's go."
Chahat was sitting on a chair at this moment. Munna, bringing a cold drink to Chahat, said, “Bhabhi, please have a cold drink. The weather outside is so hot.”
Chahat looked at Munna in surprise and said, “Munna Bhaiya, stop Tapish ji, what is he doing!”
Munna said with a laugh, “Oh Bhabhi, haven’t you heard? Karma is returning, these people are just getting what they did to you.”
Chahat was looking forward in surprise, where Tapish was sitting with one leg crossed over the other, and a gun in one hand. The guests who had come there were made to stand aside by Tapish’s men, and in front of Tapish at this moment was Chahat and Bhanu’s family. But the gentlemen and ladies were standing separately.
Bhanu’s father and Chahat’s two brothers were standing there, having been completely shaved. Tapish had shaved off all their hair. Bhanu’s mother, Chahat’s two sisters-in-law, and Shefali were standing in front of those hot coals. Tapish was looking at them with his piercing gaze, and they were looking at Tapish with mercy in their eyes.
Tapish, with boredom, looked at the women and said, “I don’t have all day.”
Bhanu’s mother, looking at Tapish, said with hope for mercy, “Son, we are all women, have some mercy on us.”
Tapish, staring at Bhanu’s mother, said, “Did my wife appear like a man to you?”
Just then, the priest brought the barber and threw him at Tapish’s feet. Tapish was staring at the barber. In fact, when the barber had shaved off all the men’s hair, that man thought that after this, Tapish would kill him or cut off his hands for cutting Chahat’s hair, so he ran away. But the priest caught him and brought him back.
Tapish, staring at the man, said, “Why did you run away?”
The man said fearfully, “Please forgive us, we did not do this intentionally. This was done by us, we have small children.”
Tapish glanced at the man and then looked at the ladies and said, “Haven’t you people started walking yet?”
All the women looked at each other in surprise. Tapish stood up from his place and came towards them, scratching his forehead with his gun and said, “If you people don’t start walking on these coals in the next 5 minutes, then the razor of this man you called to cut my wife’s hair will be used on all your hair.”
Bhanu’s mother, Shefali, Anita, and Megha looked at each other in surprise. Shefali quickly covered her head with her veil, trying to hide her hair.
Meanwhile, on the other side, Jay and Pushkar were looking at Tapish with anger. Jay said, “What do you want to prove with all this? And how dare you do this to us?”
Tapish, staring at Jay, said, “Just as you people dared to treat my wife in this manner.”
Pushkar also said angrily, “Chahat is not your wife, she doesn’t accept this marriage. She is only Bhanu’s widow. That’s why she was fulfilling all the duties of a widow.”
Tapish, staring at Jay and Pushkar, said, “You haven’t fulfilled the duty of being a brother until today, and you are asking my wife to fulfill all those duties that she doesn’t even need, and what are you saying… she is a widow?”
After that, Tapish turned his face away, shook his head in negation, and said frustratedly, “Damn, the whole world is out to kill me.”
Tapish glanced at the women who were still looking at the coals with fearful eyes but not walking on them. Tapish, pointing the gun in his hand towards the women, said, “I don’t have a problem if you walk on these coals with injured feet too.”
Now, the lives of all four of them were drained. They looked at each other in fear. Anita took a step forward and placed it on the coals, and then blisters formed on her feet from the coals, and she started pulling her foot back, screaming. Seeing Anita scream like that, the lives of the other three also got stuck in their throats, but they were trapped in a situation where they were caught between a rock and a hard place! Either they would walk on the coals barefoot, or Tapish would shoot them in the feet.
Tapish was about to fire at them while loading his gun, when suddenly Chahat came and held Tapish’s hand. Tapish looked at Chahat with a stare, and Chahat, shaking her head in negation, said, “I want to go home.”
Pushkar and Jay both looked at Chahat angrily. Pushkar shouted, “Chahat, what is this misbehavior! How can you go with this man? You yourself said that you don’t accept this marriage, so if you don’t accept this marriage, then with what right are you talking about going with this man?”
Chahat looked at Pushkar with a stare and said, “By the right of being his wife. Yes, I said that I do not accept my marriage to Tapish ji, because I considered you people as my own, but thank you brother, you broke all my illusions in a moment. I have seen here who is mine and who cares for me. I should also thank you all for making me realize that I was living on the foundation of a false relationship. Thank you all for removing the veil from my eyes. Now I can see everything. Who is mine and who is an outsider. Who has truly honored the relationship and who was pretending to honor it.”
Jay said, “How can you accept a marriage done through deceit?”
Chahat looked at Jay with a stare and said, “It is better than a marriage done through deceit. And I know, I told you people that I do not accept my marriage to Tapish ji, but that was my misunderstanding. For someone who is now dead, you people were killing me while I was alive.”
Jay said angrily, “We were just bringing you home safely.”
Chahat looked at Jay with a stare and said, “And I am going to my home with my husband.”
Pushkar looked at Chahat with a stare and said, “Chahat, don’t be foolish, do you even know who he is? Do you know his truth? His name is linked to many illegal activities. There are so many people who are enemies of his life. And so many people are after his life. If he dies in an accident tomorrow, what will you do then?”
Chahat said, “Then I will accept this white attire as my destiny and embrace it. And that white attire in Tapish ji’s name will also keep me connected to him.”
Tapish looked at Chahat in surprise. Chahat turned to look at Tapish and, taking his hands in hers, said, “Whatever colors he bestows upon me, who has held my hand in front of the world, I accept them all.”
Hearing Chahat’s words, a long and crooked smile appeared on Tapish’s face. Chahat looked at Tapish and said with great innocence, “I want to go home, go to my home.”
Tapish nodded in affirmation, looked at Chahat, and said, “We will go, wife, we will go to our home, but first let’s deal with your family.”
After that, Tapish looked at the women and said, “I think you people also want to get your hair cut.”
Then Tapish looked at the barber and said, “Come on, take out your razor and get to work.”
The man nodded fearfully and took out a razor from his bag. All four women looked at each other in surprise and started walking on the coals with running feet. The coals, like hot lava, were blistering their feet with every step.
Chahat tightly closed her eyes and hid her head on Tapish’s arm.
After punishing them all, Tapish held Chahat’s hand and said, looking at everyone, “The girl is being sent off, don’t cry you people!”
But there was only anger on everyone’s faces, no tears were coming to anyone’s eyes. Tapish looked at everyone with a stare and then called out to the priest, saying, “Pandit!”
The priest, unlocking his gun, said, “One minute brother, what is this, even your angels will cry.”
Saying this, the priest fired a few shots near everyone’s feet. And everyone started crying loudly, holding each other’s throats.
Seeing them cry so forcefully made Chahat burst into laughter.
Chahat smiled and looked at Tapish. Tapish also had a smile on his face, he tightly held Chahat’s hand, looked at everyone, and said, “This time I am taking my wife with my full senses. And if anyone wants to meet my wife, they can come to Sahib Mansion.”
Tapish started taking her away, holding Chahat’s hand, and this time Chahat went with Tapish willingly, but Munna and the Pandit weren’t going to stay behind. There had been a shower of bullets before when Tapish took Chahat after marriage, and it was still happening. The ear-splitting echo of bullets was reverberating across the entire sky. And amidst those fireworks… the heartthrob was taking his bride away.
Tapish’s cars left one by one, and Chahat had already left with Tapish. Everyone watched those cars leave in surprise. And now only Chahat and Bhanu’s families were present there, and those who had come to attend the puja. At first, only a few people knew who Chahat was married to, but now the whole world knew.
Along with Chahat and Bhanu, there was also the man who had cut Chahat’s hair. The poor guy was in such bad shape that he was afraid to go home himself. Munna had cut off half his mustache and shaved half his head. Where would the poor man go with half a mustache and half hair, because Munna had clearly told him that if he tried to cut his remaining half mustache and half hair, Munna would not let him keep his head.
The convoy of Tapish's cars was heading towards the Sahib Mansion. Chahat and Tapish were sitting together. Chahat had a sense of peace on her face and was looking out the window, while Tapish's gaze kept returning to Chahat.
Suddenly, Chahat spotted a mall and shouted, "Tapish ji, stop the car!"
Surprised by Chahat's sudden outburst, Tapish told the driver, "Stop the car."
The driver stopped the car, and the other vehicles in the convoy followed suit. Tapish looked at Chahat in astonishment and asked, "What happened? Why did you stop the car in the middle of the road like this?"
Chahat gestured towards the mall and said, "I don't want to go home with you like this. I want to go home the way you took me the first time."
Tapish looked at Chahat, surprised, and asked, "You mean I have to carry you in my arms again?"
Chahat smiled and shook her head in negation, saying, "No. This time, I have come with you willingly. I don't want to start my new life with these plain colors. Instead, I want to take the first step into our home with you exactly as you took me the first time, like a bride!"
Hearing Chahat's words, a faint smile touched Tapish's lips. As Chahat opened the door and stepped out, three or four bodyguards immediately surrounded her. Chahat was startled for a moment and looked at Tapish in surprise.
Tapish shrugged and said, "Get used to it!"
Chahat looked at the four burly bodyguards with a sigh and then started walking towards the mall.
Half an hour later, Chahat returned. Tapish was leaning against his car, having already finished more than ten cigarettes while waiting for Chahat.
Munna and Pandit approached Tapish. Munna said, "Brother, will Bhabhi buy the entire mall? It's been half an hour since she went into the mall, and she still hasn't come out. Looks like you'll have a hefty bill today."
Tapish smiled, crushed the last bit of his cigarette under his shoe, and said, "What good is a woman who doesn't exceed a man's worth? And why are you worried? She's my wife. Whether she shops for half an hour or an hour, I won't ask you to pay the bill."
Just then, Munna's jaw dropped as he looked ahead. Seeing Munna's expression, Tapish said, "Why are you keeping your mouth open so wide? A fly might fly in!"
Munna stammered, "You look ahead too, and your mouth will also open for the fly."
As Munna spoke, Tapish looked ahead, and his eyes widened in surprise.
Chahat was wearing a red, maroon-colored saree. She had tied her hair in a bun and adorned it with gajras. Her hands were laden with red bangles.
Chahat looked even more beautiful than she had on her wedding day. As Chahat walked towards Tapish, Tapish could hear his heart pounding in his ears.
Chahat stopped right in front of Tapish and, looking at him with her kohl-lined eyes, said, "Shall we go!"
But Tapish was lost in the depths of her kohl-lined eyes. Munna and Pandit exchanged surprised glances and then shook their heads in unison. Pandit approached Tapish, gently nudged him, and said, "Brother, that's enough. Are you going to stare at Bhabhi until you're mesmerized?"
Tapish quickly came back to his senses, opened the car door, and got in. Chahat also got in, and their destination was now solely the Sahib Mansion.
As their car stopped in front of the Sahib Mansion, Tapish and Chahat got out and moved forward to enter together. But before Chahat could take another step inside the door, a powerful voice echoed, "Stop right there, Chahat!"
Chahat, Tapish, and everyone else stopped at the doorway. Chahat looked at Atish in surprise. Even Tapish, Munna, and Pandit were looking at Atish with astonishment.
Tapish asked as he walked in, "What happened, brother? Why did you tell Chahat to stand at the door?"
Atish stared at Chahat and said, "By what right are you stepping into this house?"
Chahat, Tapish, Munna, and Pandit were all taken aback. Tapish exclaimed, "What are you saying, brother?"
But Atish held up his hands, stopping Tapish, and then looked at Chahat, saying, "Tell me, Chahat, by what right are you stepping inside this house?"
Chahat lowered her head slightly and replied, "By the right of being Tapish ji's wife!"
Atish stared at Chahat and said, "But you were denying this relationship. You refused to accept this marriage, and you left this house of your own free will because you didn't want to stay with Tapish!"
Chahat said softly and with regret, "I made a mistake. I considered strangers as my own and left my loved ones behind. I couldn't understand what they were going to make me do, but now I realize my mistake, and that's why I apologize for my actions!"
Atish's sharp gaze remained fixed on Chahat. He asked, "Do you accept your marriage with Tapish?"
Chahat slowly nodded in affirmation.
Atish continued, "And do you consider Tapish your husband?"
Chahat glanced at Tapish and then slowly nodded in affirmation.
As soon as Chahat answered, a long smile spread across Atish's face, and he looked towards the kitchen, saying, "Mom, please bring the aarti thali, your daughter-in-law has arrived!"
As Atish said this, Tapish, Munna, and Pandit all looked towards the kitchen in surprise. Tapish asked, "What, Mom is back? Why didn't you tell me?"
Just then, a voice came from the kitchen, angrily addressing Tapish, "When you're free from bringing your wife home, then you'll pay attention to me!"
When Chahat looked in that direction, her eyes widened in surprise. But Munna, Pandit, and Tapish went to Mai and embraced her, greeting her. Seeing the three of them, Mai expressed a mixture of slight anger and happiness, saying, "Alright, alright, stop it. First, let me welcome the daughter-in-law."
Mai came to the doorway with the aarti thali, but Chahat's eyes were still wide with surprise. Tapish stood beside Chahat and, looking at Mai, said, "So tell me, Mai, how is my choice?"
Mai smiled upon seeing Chahat and, with one hand, waved away any ill fortune from both of them and touched her forehead, saying, "May no evil eye befall you. You two look like a very beautiful couple!"
Chahat looked at Tapish in surprise and said, "She's the one, isn't she!"
But Tapish quickly took Chahat's hand and, looking into her eyes, said, "She is no one else, she is just Mai."
Chahat was still looking at Mai in surprise, so Mai smiled and said to Chahat, "What are you thinking, daughter-in-law? You're probably thinking, how can a transgender person be their mother?"
In fact, the Mai standing there was a transgender person. She was dressed entirely like a woman, but her demeanor had a masculine touch.
Mai welcomed Tapish and Chahat with the aarti thali and performed Chahat's griha pravesh (housewarming ceremony).
Chahat entered the house. Atish looked at Chahat with a smile and said, "Welcome to this family."
While Chahat had a grand welcome here, perhaps the fire of hatred had ignited elsewhere.
In Bhanu's house, everyone was sitting in the hall. Jai and Pushkar were looking at Bhanu's family with anger. Bhanu's father said, "What else is there to see? Your sister has smeared dirt on our faces and left!"
Jai stood up angrily and said, "This girl cannot spoil my plan like this. This is no longer just a business deal; it's about my humiliation. Chahat did wrong by holding Tapish's hand. Just watch, the same hands that held Tapish's hand will one day beg me for Tapish's life!"
On the other side, all the women were applying ice cubes to their feet. Anita looked at Jai angrily and said, "But this time, bring Chahat back in such a way that she can never return. She made us walk on embers, didn't she? If I don't make her walk on fire, then my name isn't Anita either."
Here, everyone was showing their hatred for Chahat and Tapish, but Shefali's mind was occupied with something else entirely.
Hamdard Colony...
Tej was in Hamdard Colony and had found out about Chahat's return home. Happily, he went to Usman's garage and said, "Usman, do you know, Bhabhi is back!"
Usman, fixing a car, looked at Tej in surprise and asked, "Which Bhabhi?"
Tej smacked his head and said, "Oh, you wouldn't know. I'm talking about Tapish bhai's wife, Chahat Bhabhi, she's back."
Suddenly, the wrench slipped from Usman's hand and fell to the ground. He looked at Tej in surprise and said, "When did Tapish bhai get married?"
Tej laughed and said, "You're also shocked to hear about their marriage, aren't you? We were all just as surprised."
After that, Tej looked towards Sabia's house with a smile. Seeing him look that way, Usman approached Tej and, placing a hand on his shoulder, said, "When you know the destination cannot be reached, you shouldn't look at the path."
Tej lowered his face in regret and nodded. Tej left the garage, glanced at Sabia's house, and went up to the apartment above. He picked up a guitar from a room and sat by the window with it. Sabia's room was right in front.
But at that moment, her window was closed, and the curtain was drawn. Tej sat by the window, played his guitar, and started singing while looking at that window.
🎶🎶🎼🎵🎵🎼🎵🎶
Oh stranger, will you ever call out from somewhere?
I am living in pieces here.
You are living in pieces somewhere.
Oh stranger...
Tej kept looking at Sabia's window, but the curtain was drawn.
Day after day, the silky breeze comes and goes, asking, tell me,
The silky breeze says, tell me.
That pure, innocent bud, washed with milk,
Where is she, where is she?
Where is that light?
Where is that life?
I am incomplete, you are incomplete, we are living.
Oh stranger...
Usman stood leaning against the gate. He was noting all of Tej's actions. But there was no one at the window, so for whom was Tej singing? Seeing Tej, one realizes that people go mad in love 😊
You are not here, but your smiles are.
Your face is nowhere, but your footsteps are felt.
Where are you, where are you?
Where is your trace?
Where is my world?
I am incomplete, you are incomplete, we are living.
Oh stranger...
After the song finished, Tej placed the guitar on the table there and approached Usman. Usman asked him, "Tej bhai, there's no one there. Who were you singing to? Just the curtain 😛"
Tej smiled and said to Usman, "When someone becomes very special to us, we feel their presence. 😊"
Tej said this and went downstairs, but Usman was still trying to comprehend something.
He saw that Tej had left his guitar upstairs. But as he picked up the guitar and turned to leave, his gaze fell upon the window opposite.
He saw Sabia standing behind the window, trying to peek and see Tej.
Usman thought to himself, Sabia was standing right at the window... 😳
Anita and Megha bring Chahat near the wedding pavilion. Bhanu, waiting for her in a 'sehra' (groom's headgear), smiles even wider upon seeing Chahat.
Chahat walks towards the pavilion with slow steps in her lehenga, and Anita seats her next to Bhanu.
Bhanu looks at Chahat with the smile of a victor, then at her two brothers standing to the side, watching the scene. A hidden expression can be seen on their faces as they look at Bhanu, and they both start smiling at each other.
Near the stairs, Gudiya stands with her caretaker, watching her aunt's wedding. Although Gudiya is a small child, she is not so naive as to not understand what is happening.
Gudiya felt very bad when her aunt agreed to the wedding to save her. She simply didn't like Bhanu's face.
Gudiya looks towards the home temple, where the idols of Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva are kept. Joining her hands, Gudiya says, "God! Auntie says you help everyone, and everyone faces the consequences of their sins in this life. I don't know what sins I've committed that you've made me disabled. But my aunt hasn't done anything wrong. She is very good. She can never do wrong to anyone. This uncle, with whom my aunt is getting married, I don't like him at all. How much older is he than my aunt? And I don't get good vibes from him. Please God, you know how to perform many miracles, right? So do one miracle for me too. I've only asked for myself until today, but today, for the last time, I'm asking for happiness for my aunt. Don't let this marriage happen. Please God, do a miracle."
Whether human pleas hold such truth, who knows, but children's hearts are very pure, which is why their voices reach God quickly.
Meanwhile, at the wedding pavilion, Chahat's gaze was fixed on the blazing sacred fire. Tears welled up in Chahat's eyes. The onlookers thought she was shedding tears because she would be separated from her family after the wedding, but they had no idea what was going through Chahat's mind at that moment.
Chahat never received the love and respect in this house that a daughter of the house should have. She had only faced disdain here. Chahat's mother was a maid in this house. When Jai and Pushkar's father's eyes fell on her, his intentions turned bad towards a maid. Despite having two children, a happy family, and such a large business, Jai and Pushkar's father couldn't control his desires.
One day, when they found out that Chahat's mother was pregnant, they became very scared because his wife was not from a small family; she was from a rather high-class family. If her family found out, they would ruin Chahat's father's entire business and leave him on the streets. Therefore, to hide his misdeeds, he gave the maid a lot of money and told her to go to another city. He also told her to abort the child, as he would never give the child his name.
Chahat's mother moved to another city with Chahat. However, poverty and helplessness did not leave them even then. Even though the rich man used Chahat's mother, Chahat's mother truly loved him. Therefore, understanding it as a symbol of her love, she gave birth to Chahat. But even after Chahat's birth, her condition worsened day by day. There wasn't a single day when she could stand on her feet properly.
The people at the orphanage where she lived with Chahat treated her extensively, and once, when Chahat turned 5, the doctors gave up on her.
In her final moments, she did not want to leave her daughter helpless.
So, she wrote a letter to Chahat's father, detailing her entire situation. She just wanted him to at least not turn away from Chahat, even if he didn't accept her. After all, she was his blood. She wanted her father to bear the expenses of Chahat's education, upbringing, and care.
She thought her small effort would save this helpless child from being orphaned and abandoned in such a big world. However, the letter she wrote to Chahat's father accidentally fell into the hands of Chahat's grandfather. And he learned about his son's debauchery.
Chahat's grandfather had no complaints about his family. His family was complete: two grandsons, a huge business, a happy family. Yet, he always felt the absence of a daughter in his house. He believed that a house without a Lakshmi (goddess of wealth and prosperity) would not prosper.
When he found out about Chahat, he scolded his son severely. He even made him just a caretaker of the business, not giving him a single penny from it. But he couldn't deny that Chahat was his son's daughter. In his desire for a daughter in his home, the grandfather brought Chahat home with him. After her mother's passing, Chahat often became sad, but her grandfather supported her completely.
He was the only one in the house who behaved well with Chahat. Only he cared about Chahat. Otherwise, Chahat's father and her stepmother never even looked at Chahat. The attitude of parents often reflects in their children's attitudes. Chahat wanted love from her brothers, wanted to play with them, but her father and stepmother had filled her brothers' minds with so much poison that Chahat could never diminish it with her smile.
Whenever there was a happy function in the house, Chahat was kept in a corner of the house like an item. She wasn't allowed to come in front of anyone, nor was she introduced to anyone. Even when Jai and Pushkar got married, Chahat watched her brothers' weddings from hiding.
Initially, Chahat's stepmother taunted her a lot and did many things to harm her, like pushing her from the stairs or pouring hot milk on her. When her grandfather saw that it was becoming difficult for Chahat to stay there, he sent Chahat to a hostel for her education.
But gradually, the grandfather's health deteriorated. Chahat couldn't even complete her education, and her grandfather passed away. He was the only one in her life who was her family, and that family was also taken away.
Jai and Pushkar managed the entire business and all operations. Therefore, their parents retired from all this, bought a small house in Bali, and began enjoying their retirement there. They had no concern about what was happening here or the state of the business. They never looked back.
But here, Chahat's education stopped because her brothers refused to pay for her education, and Chahat also wanted to open her dream dance school. For this, she started doing odd jobs. Chahat is an educated, independent girl. She could have left all this and gone, but she was still stuck here due to one compulsion, and that compulsion's name is Gudiya. She didn't want to leave Gudiya because after her grandfather's death, Gudiya was the only one who had taught Chahat to smile again. And today, for Gudiya, Chahat was tying her life with Bhanu.
Chahat saw every memory connected to this house before her eyes: playing with her grandfather or her stepmother torturing her. Her father never even saw her face, yet she used to follow her father, just to get his attention. Hoping for love from both brothers. She always bought rakhis for them every Raksha Bandhan but could never tie them. And all those rakhis are tied in a corner of the temple.
She thought that when her sisters-in-law arrived, she would get some love from them. But they turned out to be just like her brothers. From the first day, they started taunting Chahat.
Chahat raises her face once and looks at her family there. Then her gaze falls on Gudiya, sitting in the corner. Looking at Gudiya, a smile comes to Chahat's face, and she gestures for Gudiya to smile. But tears were flowing from Gudiya's eyes, and she was looking at God with great hope.
Bhanu's parents were on one side, watching their son's wedding. Suddenly, Chahat's gaze falls on a girl. She had seen this girl before; she was also present on the day of her and Bhanu's engagement. Who is this girl? This question kept repeating in Chahat's mind. The way this girl was dancing with Bhanu on the music night was not a dance to enjoy at a wedding; rather, they were dancing very close to each other like a couple dance. Bhanu even held this girl by her waist, pulling her closer. And at the mehndi ceremony, this girl sat down to get her mehndi applied before Chahat. When the mehndi artist was applying mehndi to Chahat's hands and feet and asked for the groom's name, this girl came forward and said that in their family, they don't write the groom's name on the bride's hands.
Although Chahat found this ritual very strange, she didn't say anything. She thought this girl might be a relative of theirs, as she was actively involved in the wedding and every ritual, as if it were her wedding, not Chahat's.
The priest asked for Bhanu's hand for the sacred thread ceremony. Bhanu extended his hand, and then the priest asked Megha to place Chahat's hand on Bhanu's hand. Megha steps forward, lifts Chahat's hand, and places it on Bhanu's hand. But Bhanu held Chahat's hand so tightly that a wave of pain shot through Chahat's entire body. She looked at Bhanu with shocked eyes, and he looked back at her with shamelessness in his eyes.
Bhanu leans close to Chahat's ears and softly says, "You look very beautiful in wedding attire. I hope you'll be even more beautiful without clothes." Chahat looked at Bhanu with surprised eyes. With a shameless smile on his face, he winked at Chahat.
Chahat couldn't see Bhanu's intentions as honest. This had happened before. On the night of the engagement, Bhanu had put his hand on Chahat's waist. Chahat found his touch very disgusting and quickly pulled herself out of his grip. And on the music night, when everyone was dancing, Bhanu grabbed Chahat's hand, pulled her into a corner, forcefully embraced her, and said:
"I don't think I can wait until the wedding. And after this, Bhanu started moving towards Chahat's lips. Chahat placed her hand on Bhanu's shoulder, pushing him away, and said, "Bhanu ji! Please don't. I don't like it." Bhanu looked at Chahat irritably and said, "Why don't you like it? I am your future husband. Our wedding is in a few days. After that, I will have to do all this, right? What difference does it make if I do it now? You look so tasty, so what will you taste like?"
Bhanu was about to come close to Chahat again when that girl arrived and shouted Bhanu's name loudly. Bhanu, seeing the girl, let go of Chahat, and Chahat ran inside from there. But Chahat had noticed anger on that girl's face when she saw Bhanu and Chahat together.
The priest was chanting the wedding mantras, and then, after sprinkling Ganga water on the mangalsutra and reciting a mantra, he handed it to Bhanu and said, "Now, adorn the bride's neck with the mangalsutra."
Chahat's tears intensified, and along with them, Gudiya's faith was about to break. Bhanu held the mangalsutra in his hand and looked at Chahat with a devilish smile. He slowly moved towards Chahat's neck, and Chahat felt like a noose tightening around her neck.
Bhanu tied the mangalsutra around Chahat's neck, and as he raised his hands, the sound of a gunshot was heard, and a bullet hit the center of Bhanu's forehead. Bhanu's body fell onto the pavilion, and he died on the spot.
The joyful wedding atmosphere is suddenly replaced by fear by the sound of that gunshot.
Just as Bhanu had extended his hands after tying the mangalsutra around Chahat's neck, a bullet suddenly hit Bhanu right in the center of his forehead. And he fell on the mandap itself.
Chahat jumped up from her place. And staring with wide eyes, she was looking at Bhanu's dead body. Blood was oozing from Bhanu's forehead, and that blood, flowing from his head, was slowly spreading all over the mandap.
Bhanu's mother and that girl screamed loudly together. Bhanu's father also ran towards the mandap to support Bhanu. Suddenly, chaos erupted there.
Screams and shouts began to rise from the wedding guests, even Chahat's family stood there in shock.
Chahat, with wide eyes, was just looking at Bhanu's body, which was now lifeless. Chahat's ears went numb, and she couldn't hear any sound. Her eyes were only looking at Bhanu's eyes, which were open in death.
Chahat's two sisters-in-law came to Chahat. Chahat was about to fall; her two sisters-in-law quickly came and supported Chahat. Anita said looking at Megha, "What happened, Megha?"
Megha herself was surprised and looking at Bhanu's dead body, said, "Sister-in-law! Bhanu is dead."
Jai and Pushkar also looked at each other in surprise and said, "How can this happen?"
Bhanu's family was near Bhanu's body, the girl and Bhanu's mother were both clinging to Bhanu's chest, weeping. The girl was almost cradling Bhanu's head, holding his face tightly, sobbing uncontrollably.
Bhanu's mother, lifting Bhanu, said, "Bhanu... Bhanu, wake up Bhanu! What happened to you, Bhanu? Wake up, how did you fall like this."
Bhanu's father was consoling Bhanu's mother, but helplessness and anger were clearly visible on his face. His son had died in front of his eyes.
Jai and Pushkar came to Chahat and looking at Bhanu's father said, "Gupta ji! What is happening here? This Bhanu suddenly....."
But Bhanu's father looked at Jai angrily and shouted, "You tell me, Jai Bansal, what has happened here? Who suddenly shot my son?"
Jai and Pushkar looked at each other in surprise. Jai said, "How would we know about this? Look, Gupta ji, we know nothing about this. Hey, we were getting our sister married to your son here, do you think we would do anything to your son?"
Bhanu's father flared up angrily and said, "If you didn't do it, then who did? This is your house, your sister's wedding, the people here are also yours, so obviously you got my son killed."
There was so much argument, so much quarreling, everyone was accusing each other, but Chahat stood there like a living corpse. She could neither hear nor see anything. All she could see was Bhanu's dead body. Chahat couldn't even move from her spot.
Pushkar stopped Mr. Gupta and said, "Look, Gupta ji! We are sorry for what happened to you. But nothing good has happened to us either. Just now your son has put the mangalsutra around our sister's neck, and with that, his life has gone. Do you understand what this means? Our sister has become a widow on the wedding mandap itself. And you are saying that we are responsible for your son's death? Have you lost your mind? Have you lost your senses in the shock of your son's death?"
Bhanu's mother stood up angrily and came to Chahat. She came in front of Chahat, grabbed both of Chahat's arms with her hands, and shaking her, said, "My son's life was lost because of you. You are inauspicious. You consumed my son."
Chahat's two sisters-in-law were surprised. They quickly pulled Bhanu's mother away from Chahat, and Anita said to Bhanu's mother, "Look, Aunty ji! Chahat is not the cause of your son's death. Didn't you see the bullet was fired from outside?"
The guests standing there also started whispering among themselves, some calling Chahat inauspicious, while some expressed sympathy for her. One woman said, "What kind of girl is she? She just got the mangalsutra tied, and the very next moment she became a widow."
Someone else said, "That's why the boy's mother is calling her inauspicious. If such a girl isn't inauspicious, then what is she? Just think, she consumed her mother. Her father never accepted her. She has two stepbrothers. But still, they were getting her sister married. Now see, she became a widow right after marriage. Such a girl is a stigma on society."
Just then, a man from behind said, "I heard that their marriage was a business deal. The business organization award that was to be given to Chahat's younger brother Pushkar this time has also been bought. Bhanu himself got that award for Pushkar. And the tender for the vacant land outside the city that the government was filling has been transferred to Jai's name even before it was passed."
Just then, another man said, "You people have only heard this much. Hey, I have also heard that Chahat and Bhanu's marriage was just a one-year contract. And that girl who is clinging to Bhanu and crying, she is Bhanu's mistress."
Everyone was talking about Chahat and Bhanu and the deals in their marriage, but no one paid attention to where the bullet came from and who fired it.
Just then, chaos erupted in the atmosphere. 10 to 15 bodyguards armed with weapons spread throughout the hall. Everyone looked at them with fear and surprise. Those bodyguards looked like Black Commandos from somewhere.
Jai, Pushkar, Anita, and Megha were surprised to see them. Pushkar asked one of them, "Who are you people and how did you get in?"
Just then, a loud and resounding voice came, "Death never comes by asking."
Everyone's attention went towards the door from where death was entering.
Black shoes, black pants, black shirt... what was white was the cigarette crushed in his lips.
A person, blowing smoke into the air, was coming inside, and from a distance, he appeared like a Devil God.
The faces of some people standing there broke out in a sweat, while others looked terrified. Although many people were present in the hall at that moment, with the entry of that person, there was such silence as if someone had died......
(😝 This dialogue has nothing to do with Bhanu)
The person entered the hall, blowing smoke into the air. And stopped right in front of the mandap.
Just then, two more people entered through the door. One stood to his right, and the other stood to his left.
The person standing to his right looked at the person and said, "What a perfect shot you have. Why don't you try in the Olympics."
Hearing his words, a devilish smile appeared on the face of the person standing in front.
The boy standing to his left came to Bhanu. And lifted his hand and let it drop.
The boy said looking at that person, "Brother! This one is gone."
The person, blowing the last puff of his cigarette into the smoke, crushed it under his feet and looking at Bhanu's dead body, said, "The dog died a dog's death."
Bhanu's mistress, who was still surprised seeing that person, stood up from her place and looking at that person, said, "Tapish..."
There was also hushed talk among the people, "Hey, isn't this underworld mafia... Tapish Randhawa?"
"Yes! That's him. He killed Bhanu. Surely Bhanu must have done something. That's why the underworld is after him."
"Bhanu's name was anyway involved in illegal activities, but what did he do to Tapish? I heard Tapish tortures his enemies to death."
"I don't know about killing, but he tortures a lot. I once heard he threw acid in one of his enemy's eyes."
Jai was already very angry, and seeing Tapish in front of him, he came to him and said, "Who are you? And what are you doing here? And who are these people? How did you people get in? Why didn't security stop you?"
The boy standing to Tapish's right said, laughing, "Your two-bit security. They started saluting Tapish seeing him."
Pushkar also came to Jai and angrily said looking at Tapish, "What is this misbehavior? You are misbehaving with us in our house? Get out of here... Who are you people to barge into our house like this?"
"Who are you, who are you, who are you? Damn it, I'm fed up with this question. I guess I'll have to tell you what my identity is."
Just then, Tapish pointed the gun in his hand towards Jai and Pushkar. As this happened, both of them were petrified. Anita and Megha were also surprised, and they quickly came to Jai and Pushkar and held them by the arm.
Tapish looked at Jai and Pushkar and said, "I will definitely tell you my identity. But after that, will you live to tell my identity?"
Megha said fearfully, "What are you doing? Put the gun down, a shot might be fired."
Just then, the other boy with Tapish said, "Yes, brother got the gun to shoot. What did you think, he'll play Dandiya with it?"
Tapish said... "Munna... Pandit."
Munna, standing to Tapish's right, and Pandit, standing to his left, both came forward and said, "Yes, brother."
Tapish put his hand in his shirt pocket and then in his pant pocket, searched for something, and then looking at them, said, "The cigarettes are finished, man. I'm craving."
Pandit said, "Brother! I haven't brought any with me either."
And Munna said, "Brother! I don't smoke."
Tapish looked at Jai and Pushkar and said, "Do you guys have cigarettes?"
A look of distress came over the faces of all four, and all four shook their heads in unison.
Frustration crossed Tapish's face. Pushkar quickly said, "Look, we don't know what enmity you have with these people. But please, don't create any new commotion here. Anyway, our sister is married to Bhanu. And now this wedding atmosphere has also turned into mourning. We don't want any more bloodshed here. Even if you have enmity with them... take it out on them. There's no need to drag us into this."
"Anyway, our sister has become a widow on the wedding mandap itself. What worse can happen to us than this?"
Tapish's eyes narrowed. Hearing Pushkar's words. Until now, his attention was only on Bhanu and Jai and Pushkar in front of him.
But now his attention went to Chahat, standing in a red bridal dress on one side of the mandap.
Tapish could see Chahat's figure, but he couldn't see her face because she was behind Jai.
Tapish placed his gun on Jai's temple. Everyone else was in a bad state, but Jai was so bad that it looked like he would pee himself standing.
Tapish pressed the gun against Jai's temple and moved him aside...
And then, Chahat's beautiful face, adorned like a bride, came into Tapish's view.
Tapish stared at Chahat with his narrowed eyes, from head to toe, when suddenly his gaze stopped at Chahat's face.
And Tapish's eyes narrowed... "and he tried to recall, straining his mind, where he had seen this face before?"
Tapish didn't have to wait long, and he remembered where he had seen Chahat. It was only 10 days ago.
Suddenly, a crooked smile appeared on Tapish's face, and parting between Jay and Pushkar, he started walking towards Chahat!
Seeing him do that, Jay, Pushkar, Anita, and Megha were all surprised. Jay was even moving forward to stop him, but Anita held Jay's hand, stopping him, and shook her head no, because... Tapish's gun was still visible in his hands.
Tapish climbed onto the stage, and crossing over Bhanu's body, he reached in front of Chahat.
Chahat's eyes were still blankly looking only at Bhanu. Chahat stood there like a lifeless doll! Only her breathing was happening, but her body had no life, as if thousands of needles had pricked her body, numbing it.
Tapish was looking at Chahat's beautiful face with his narrowed eyes. A mysterious smile appeared on his face, and looking at Chahat, he said, "The roadside girl. After that meeting, I didn't think our second meeting would be so beautiful."
Just then, Tapish's gaze fell on the mangalsutra around Chahat's neck. Tapish raised an eyebrow and looked at the mangalsutra. And then he turned and looked at Bhanu's dead body.
Seeing this scene, Tapish burst into laughter and looking at Munna, he said, laughing, "Munna, this is a total mess-up."
The priest and Munna also started laughing at Tapish's words. Tapish, still laughing, looked at Bhanu again, and his laughter slowly subsided, turning into a dangerous laugh.
He knelt by Bhanu's corpse and moving its face left and right with his gun, he said, "Do you have a license to ruin girls' lives? You ruined one girl's life even while dying, you scoundrel."
Tapish stood up and started looking at Chahat again. In her red bridal attire, Chahat was still standing there like a statue, and her petrified eyes were fixed solely on Bhanu's face.
Tapish approached Chahat and began caressing her hand from palm to arm with his gun. With his narrowed eyes, looking at Chahat's flushed face, he said,
"Red bridal attire, red mehndi, red bangles, red makeup... you look very beautiful in this red color. But the unfortunate thing is that this red color is no longer a part of your life."
Though Tapish was saying all this... Chahat's ears were closed at this moment; she couldn't hear anything! The loud gunshots that had hit Bhanu were still echoing in her ears. Other than that, she could neither see nor hear anything. Apart from Bhanu's corpse, the rest of the world had gone black for her.
Pushkar came forward and said to Tapish, "What kind of disrespect is this? Aren't you ashamed! Talking to a girl like this. Because of you, our sister has become a widow, and you are here mocking her widowhood. If your sister were in her place, would you still do the same?"
As soon as Pushkar said this, Tapish's eyes sharpened, and he pointed his gun at Pushkar. Both Pushkar and Megha got scared, and Pushkar took two steps back. Tapish, looking at Pushkar angrily, said, "If it were my sister, I would never have married her to a scoundrel like Bhanu. And even if she were married to a devil like him, I would be happy that my sister became a widow. Because this person would have made her life a living hell. So, instead of regretting this moment, you all should celebrate, that your sister became free before going into the captivity of this lowly person."
Megha supported Pushkar and said to Tapish, "How can we celebrate? There is a lifelong stain on her. She will live at home her entire life with this widow's tag. No one will marry her now, nor will anyone hold her hand because, in everyone's eyes, she has become ill-fated."
Tapish narrowed his eyes and turned his face towards Chahat, looking at her, and said, "Pandit, what does ill-fated mean?"
The priest said, "Brother, an ill-fated person is someone whose presence brings bad luck to all tasks, and all tasks go wrong."
Hearing this, Tapish's face showed surprise, and looking at Megha and Pushkar, he said, "But because of this girl, Bhanu died, so how is this girl ill-fated? Isn't this a good thing? Because of her, a devil was eliminated.
And as for marriage, I don't know why people are so eager to get married. What is so special about marriage that everyone wants to get married? What happens if she remains unmarried her whole life? It's not like if she doesn't get married,
the sun's rays won't fall on her. She won't breathe. The fragrance of flowers won't come, like... she won't feel hungry. Even without marriage, she can do all the things that you ordinary people can do. So why are you getting her married and sending her to someone's house to do household chores?"
Everyone looked at each other in surprise. Then Anita said, "It doesn't happen like that. It is important for a girl to get married in society. A widowed girl always remains in everyone's eyes. Everyone casts an evil eye on her, wanting to touch her, thinking that girl is an opportunity for them. And Chahat became a widow at the wedding altar itself. If Bhanu had made her life hell, then her life would have been even worse than hell now. Every person will look at her with evil intentions, wanting to touch her, wanting to do wrong with her, thinking that she has no support now."
Anita's words went over Tapish's head. He scratched his forehead with the muzzle of his gun and said, "Damn, I never understood these TV serial dialogues. I don't know what marriage means to you people, is it Aladdin's treasure? That it's essential to find. If it's that important, then get her married to someone else. Get her married to one of these people standing here."
After that, Tapish pointed to a young man and said, "Hey, you, marry her."
"As soon as the young man heard this, he got scared and quickly moved to the back."
Seeing this, Tapish's eyes sharpened, and pointing his gun at that young man, he said, "How dare you disobey me?" 🤨
But before Tapish could shoot, Munna came in front of him and said, "Brother, control your anger. That boy is not at fault, and no one would want to marry such a girl."
Tapish glared at Munna and said, "Such a girl, you mean..."
And then Tapish looked at Chahat and said, "She looks fine."
The priest said, "Brother, what he means is a girl who became a widow at the wedding altar itself, and carries the mark of being ill-fated. Society doesn't want to marry such a girl."
Tapish scratched his head in frustration and said, "Damn, this society is messing with my mother's eyes. Let it go, it's not our job anyway... whether she gets married or not, how she gets married, to whom she gets married. Her family should know. Are we here to be priests?"
Tapes looked at Bhanu and said, "Where is his father?"
Bhanu's father, who was attending to Bhanu's mother, came forward and said, "What do you want now? You have already taken everything from us. You have killed our son, our daughter-in-law has become a widow. What more do you want from us?"
Bhanu's father's words made anger flare on Tapish's face. He looked directly into Bhanu's father's eyes and said, "I warned your son not to mess with me. But the scoundrel didn't heed my words. But it's okay, he can sit and think comfortably up there. And yes, that land file should be with me by tomorrow morning. The next number is yours and your wife's."
But Bhanu's mother got up from her chair and came in front of Tapish, punching him hard in the chest, and said, "You killed my son! You snatched my offspring from me! You made me childless, you scoundrel! Why don't you die? You will die a dog's death. You will die. Even your own people won't find your corpse... You haven't just snatched my child; God will snatch your children from you."
Munna and the priest came to Tapish and pulled Bhanu's body away from him. Tapish, looking at Bhanu's mother in anger, said, "I am not raising my hand because you are a woman. Otherwise, there is still a bullet in my gun."
Jay came to Tapish and said angrily, "So what will you do? Will you kill all of us like you killed Bhanu? Aren't you ashamed to say this? You can't even imagine what we are going through. Their son is dead, my sister is a widow."
The anger on Tapish's face flared even more. He placed his gun on Jay's forehead and said angrily, "Scoundrel, so what should I do if your sister has become a widow? What do you want, should I marry her?"
Something flashed across Anita's face, and she began hatching a conspiracy in her chameleon-like mind.
Anita quickly moved Jay away from Tapish's gun and said, "Yes, then marry her."
Tapish's eyes sharpened, but both Jay and Pushkar were looking at Anita in surprise. Just then, Jay said angrily,
"Have you lost your mind? What nonsense are you talking?"
Pushkar, also angry, said to Tapish, "This scoundrel will marry our sister? I'll take his life!"
Tapish looked at Pushkar with his sharp eyes and said, "Scoundrel is not a good word for me, but it suits you very well. Both as an insult and otherwise. Come, since it suits you so well, this 'sala', then I'll make you a real 'sala'."
Anita says to Tapish… “So, marry her yourself. Anyway, because of you, her life is ruined.”
Tapish glared at Anita and said… “Her life is ruined. If she goes with me, her remaining life won't be ruined, it will become hell. That's why it's best to end this matter here. Find some good boy and get her married. And if she doesn't get married, what difference would it make? Can't you feed your sister without working?”
Jay said angrily… “What we can do or cannot do with our sister is not something you need to think about. Now we will see what to do with you. Because of you, our sister's life is ruined. I will drag you to court. And I will try my best to get you the death penalty.”
A devilish smile spread across Tapish's face. Looking into Jay's eyes, he said… “Those who tried to drag me through the dirt have themselves turned to dirt. Look at Bhanu as an example.”
But Jay also said… “What does that matter? Because of you, a person lost their life. And there are so many witnesses here. You watch, I will send you behind bars. I will get you the death penalty, even if I have to go to the Supreme Court. Until you are punished, I won't leave you.”
Tapish's eyes narrowed, but he saw a mockery in Jay's words. A mysterious smile appeared on Tapish's face, and then his gaze fell upon Chahat.
Tapish thought to himself, why not make this game a little more interesting? Looking at Anita and Jay, he said… “If I go to jail, what will happen to your sister?”
Jay and Anita looked at each other. Jay said… “What do you mean?”
Tapish said… “Your wife just said that I ruined your sister's life. Made her a widow. So, fine, I will mend her life. I am ready to marry your sister.”
Everyone standing there was stunned by Tapish's words. Pushkar came forward and said angrily to Tapish… “This scoundrel will marry our sister! I should just take his life.”
Pushkar had almost grabbed Tapish by the collar. Everyone's blood ran cold at this, as they were all aware of Tapish's terror by now.
Megha quickly came and said to Jay… “Brother, hold him back. What if this madman shoots Pushkar in anger?”
But Tapish said nothing. He was just looking at Pushkar with his cold gaze, and then his eyes fell on Pushkar's hand, which was holding his collar.
Looking at Pushkar, Tapish said… “'Scoundrel' doesn't suit me, but it suits you very well. Both as an insult and otherwise. And since 'scoundrel' suits you so well, let me make you a real brother-in-law.”
Pushkar was looking at Tapish in anger. Tapish, with both his hands, shook Pushkar's hand off his collar and said… “He is your brother-in-law. Learn to show some respect.”
Tapish took steps towards the wedding altar. But he had only taken two steps when Jay and Pushkar came in front of him. Both of them, angrily stopping him, said… “Don't even dare to go near Chahat. You have already ruined her life. At least let her live in peace now. Why are you killing her alive by marrying her?”
Tapish clenched his eyes tightly and, scratching his head with the barrel of his gun, said… “Damn it, what is your problem? Until now, you were yelling about how she would get married, who would hold her hand, her life was ruined. And when I myself am saying that I am marrying her, I will mend her life, you people are getting agitated about this too?”
Jay said angrily… “Don't even think about marrying our sister. We will not ruin our sister's life by marrying her to a person like you. Take your steps back.”
The smile on Tapish's face deepened, and he said… “Tapish Randhawa has never learned to back down.”
Tapish pointed his gun at Jay and Pushkar and said… “Right now, I feel like getting married. But before that, if there's a little fireworks, I have no problem with that. Where one corpse is lying, let there be two more. But as they say… all the gods aside, and the wife's brother is everything. Someone from the bride’s side should be present at the wedding.”
Tapish pushed them aside with his hand and walked towards the wedding altar. The moment Tapish stepped onto the altar, Munna and the Pandit arrived. Both were surprised by Tapish's words. Looking at Tapish, they both said… “Brother, what are you doing? We only came here to get revenge on Bhanu, our work is done. Now what's the need for all this?”
Tapish said… “Your brother is getting married. Aren't you happy?”
The Pandit, closing his eyes tightly, said… “We would definitely be happy, brother. There would be fireworks all over the city at your wedding, and I would be dancing at the forefront of the procession. But you cannot get married like this. How much do you know this girl? You just met her. You haven't even spoken to her properly, and you've decided to marry her?”
Tapish said… “I already knew as much as I needed to in our first meeting. The rest of the acquaintance will happen after the marriage. Now, don't you two interfere in my wedding. I really feel like getting married.”
Munna said to Tapish… “Hey brother! Think a little, use your head. One problem is already with you. What do you think? Will she digest this marriage?”
Tapish narrowed one eye and said… “Now, if people have indigestion, what can I do about it? That's not my problem, is it? And you two are my companions. Damn it, at least someone should be on my side at the wedding. Never mind, I have done all the work alone in my life. I'll get married alone too.”
The Pandit exhaled deeply and said… “Have you really decided that you want to marry this girl?”
Tapish glared at the Pandit and said… “So, was I telling jokes until now? I am serious. I really want to marry her. Why I want to marry her, for what purpose, for what reason, I don't feel like explaining it now. Let the marriage happen, then we’ll sit and party and I'll tell you.”
Munna and the Pandit looked at each other and then moved out of Tapish's way. Tapish climbed back onto the altar and started looking at Chahat. As he took each step towards Chahat, he sang a song.
“The beating of the heart is this desire…
Not being able to sleep is this desire…
If there was no desire… nothing would exist…
If you weren’t there… I wouldn’t be here either…”
Tapish came right next to Chahat and started looking at her face with his sharp gaze. Her face was pale at that moment.
Tapish realized that Chahat was not conscious at that moment. She was in deep shock.
Then Tapish’s eyes fell on the mangalsutra around Chahat's neck. Tapish looked at the mangalsutra with his narrowed eyes and then looked at the Pandit standing behind, who was holding his dhoti in fear.
Looking at the Pandit, Tapish said… “Pandit ji! What is most important for getting married?”
The Pandit said fearfully… “The most important things are the mangalsutra and applying sindoor.”
Tapish raised the mangalsutra around Chahat's neck with the tip of his gun and then, with a jerk, detached it from Chahat's neck. Tapish threw the mangalsutra directly at Bhanu's face.
Looking at Bhanu, Tapish said… “When the wife is mine, how can she wear a mangalsutra with your name on it? And anyway, I heard that wearing a mangalsutra increases the husband's lifespan. I think… your mangalsutra had no power. That's why your battery died in 2 minutes.”
Tapish looked at Chahat again and, tucking his gun behind his waist, said… “I don't have any expensive or fancy mangalsutra at the moment. But what I have will be proof that from today onwards, no one will even cast a glance at you, let alone point a finger.”
Tapish took off the chain he was wearing around his neck. It was a gold chain with a bullet-shaped pendant. Tapish took off the chain from his neck and tied it around Chahat's neck.
After putting the chain on Chahat, a devilish smile appeared on Tapish's face, and he looked at the Pandit and said, “What’s next?”
The Pandit, holding his dhoti in fear, said… “Next is the sindoor daan. It’s kept over there.”
Tapish picked up a fistful of sindoor from the sindoor box and, looking at Chahat, said… “I have seen a lot of red colors in my life. But from now on, your life will also be connected with this red color.”
Tapish filled Chahat's forehead with sindoor, all the way to her parting. Tapish looked at the Pandit with sharp eyes, and Pandit ji said… “The marriage is complete. From today, you are husband and wife.”
A winning smile was on Tapish's face. He took Chahat's hand and started bringing her down from the altar. Chahat followed Tapish like a puppet.
Jay, Pushkar, Anita, and Megha were all looking at him in surprise, but a mysterious smile was on Anita's face, as if she genuinely wanted this.
But Jay and Pushkar were dumbfounded. Both of them were looking at each other in disbelief.
Munna and the Pandit were also surprised. The Pandit said… “What happened? This was not even included in our plan.”
Just then, Munna's phone rang. Seeing the number on the phone, Munna's eyes widened in surprise. He said to the Pandit… “Pandit! It's Aati Bhai calling.”
The Pandit looked at Munna in surprise. Munna nodded in affirmation. The Pandit said… “What can I do now? Pick up the phone and tell brother.”
Munna said in a nervous voice… “What should I tell him?”
The Pandit said… “Just tell him that the bride is coming home. Make preparations for her welcome.”
Munna took the phone aside. But he didn't have the courage to say anything. Someone on the other side says something to Munna, which startles him. He quickly comes to the Pandit and says… “Damn it, here they are celebrating wedding joys, and at home, terror has arrived.”
The Pandit looked at Munna with surprised eyes and said… “Mallika is back.”
As soon as Chahat comes down from the pavilion, her legs falter, and her eyes close. Chahat is about to fall unconscious, but before that, Tapish catches her in his arms.
Jai and Pushkar had come forward to help Chahat, but before they could, Tapish picked her up in his arms in a bridal style.
Jai and Pushkar were looking at Tapish in surprise, but Tapish had a smile of victory on his face. He said, lifting Chahat in his arms, "Brother-in-law! I am here for both your sister's worries and your pyre."
Before Jai and Pushkar could come forward, Anita and Megha stopped them by holding their hands. Anita gestured a 'no' with her eyes, asking them to remain calm.
Tapish, holding Chahat in his arms, walks towards Munna and Pandit and says, "Let's go, our work is done here."
Pandit said, "Actually, this wasn't our work either, but we did it anyway."
A sly smile appears on Tapish's face, and he turns around, looking at the four of them, and says, "Your sister is being sent off. Won't you shed tears?"
Anita and Megha looked surprised, while Jai and Pushkar's faces were filled with anger. Seeing them so angry, Tapish's smile deepens, and he says, "Let it be. What's the use of fake tears? Anyway, you have to cry your whole life now."
In Gudia's room...
Prerna was with Gudia in her room at this time, but she had peeked out the window and seen the entire situation outside. Seeing it, her eyes widened in surprise. When the gunshot was fired, Gudia got very scared, so much so that she almost started crying, so Prerna brought her into the room to calm her down.
But when she saw Chahat's wedding to Tapish outside, she was stunned. Gudia said to Prerna, "Prerna Bua! Where is Chahat Bua? Why hasn't she come yet? And what was that sound outside?"
Prerna, calming Gudia, said, "Gudia, nothing has happened. Your Chahat Bua is fine, and she is just a little upset right now, which is why she can't meet you. She just got married, so she has to go to her new home. Don't worry, as soon as she's better, she will definitely come to meet you. Until then, I'm here with you."
Gudia says sadly, "Now Chahat Bua will go with that dirty uncle. I mean, God didn't listen to me. I won't talk to God anymore, and I'm cutting ties with him."
Prerna says in surprise, "What are you saying, Gudia? What didn't God listen to you about?"
Gudia says sadly, "I told God not to send my Chahat Bua with that dirty uncle. I don't like that uncle at all. He touches my Bua in a dirty way, like a bad touch. You know, Chahat Bua explained the difference between a good touch and a bad touch to me. When someone gives you a bad touch, you don't feel good. That dirty uncle gives Chahat Bua a bad touch, and now Chahat Bua is going with him. That uncle is not good at all, and I told God to replace that uncle with someone good. But God didn't listen to me. God is very bad. I won't talk to him anymore."
Hearing Gudia's words, Prerna is stunned. She looks out the window towards the temple built in the courtyard, where the idol of God was placed, and she says to herself, "A child's heart is purer than that of humans. And you, O Mahadev, accept everyone's devotion with a sincere heart. How did you accept Gudia's wish? Who is this person who married Chahat? Gudia asked you to send a good uncle instead of the bad one, and you sent this stranger into Chahat's life. Is this a sign from you, or just a coincidence? Whatever it is, O Mahadev, just protect Chahat. She is in your refuge."
Outside, Tapish is walking towards the gate with Chahat. Jai and Pushkar block his way and say, "Don't you dare take our sister with you. Leave Chahat here. She won't go with you."
Tapish glares at Jai and Pushkar and says in his powerful voice, "Munna, Pandit."
Just then, Munna and Pandit come forward and point their guns at Jai and Pushkar. The two are startled. Seeing them angry, Tapish says, "You are my wife's relatives, that's why you are still standing safely. Otherwise, after this much talk, the other person wouldn't be able to speak. Anyway, why are you wasting your time arguing with me? I have married your sister, and now I am taking her with me. But instead of arguing with me, why don't you go and perform Bhanu's final rites? After all, he is also your brother-in-law, even if only for a few moments. But the marriage did happen, right? So go and prepare for his cremation, because I have to prepare for the wedding night."
But then Munna says to Tapish, "Brother, if the entry was grand, the exit should also be grand. After all, you are married. A little fireworks are due."
A sly smile appears on Tapish's face, and he nods in agreement by lowering his eyelids.
Then Munna says to all the bodyguards present, "Let there be such grand fireworks that the sky should know our brother Tapish is married."
All the bodyguards take out their guns and start firing in the air. Everyone starts running here and there in fear. Amidst the sound of all the bullets, Tapish takes Chahat and walks out.
Outside, eight Scorpio cars were parked. A bodyguard quickly goes and opens the door of one car, and Tapish lays Chahat on the back seat. Chahat's eyes were closed, and her face was pale, but the vermilion from her nose to her forehead was like a rangoli on her pale face.
Tapish just looks at Chahat's face with his stern eyes. He closes the door and sits in the front seat of the car. A bodyguard quickly starts the car, and amidst the fireworks, Tapish leaves with Chahat. Tapish's gaze kept returning to the unconscious Chahat behind him, and something was going on in his heart and mind that perhaps was not visible on his face.
After an hour's journey, Tapish's car stops in front of a gleaming white marble bungalow. On the nameplate outside the bungalow, it was written in golden letters... Sahiba Mansion.
One by one, all the Scorpios stopped in the bungalow's garden. There were many more bodyguards there, looking like a whole army of bodyguards. Over a hundred bodyguards were deployed in the garden area and around the bungalow.
Tapish gets out of the car and opens the back door, lifting Chahat in his arms again. Munna and Pandit get out of the car behind him, and they both look at each other and say, "What will happen now?"
Pandit says, "What is there to happen? When has Tapish brother ever asked before doing anything, that he would ask before doing this? Now, whatever has happened, has happened. What remains to be seen is how Tapish brother will justify this."
Tapish enters the mansion with Chahat in his arms. The main entrance of the mansion, a 10-foot golden door, is pulled open by two guards, and a beautiful white and gold bungalow comes into view. A large living hall, stairs leading to the upper floor, and large pictures and antique items adorned the bungalow, increasing its splendor.
As Tapish takes his first step into the bungalow with Chahat in his arms, a loud voice rings in his ears, "Stop right there, Tapish Randhawa."
Tapish's steps halted, and he tightly closed his eyes. Then, a creaking sound started.
Tapish turned his face and saw a wheelchair coming out of the study room.
The man sitting in the wheelchair moves his automatic wheelchair towards Tapish and looks at him angrily, saying, "I did not expect this from you."
Tapish says, looking at the man, "Aatish brother! Listen to me first, then say whatever you want to say."
Aatish is Tapish's elder brother. Aatish says angrily to Tapish, "What should I listen to from you? This was the only thing left to see in my life. Now you have started bringing girls home too? Isn't that enough already? Now you've picked up another girl?"
Tapish's eyes narrow, and looking at Aatish, he says, "First of all, brother! I haven't picked up any girl. I have brought her after marriage. She is my wife, and she is your daughter-in-law. And besides that, that's all there is. You also know very well what her role is in my life."
Hearing Tapish's words, Aatish's eyes widen in surprise, and looking at the unconscious Chahat in Tapish's arms, he says, "What nonsense are you talking? What do you mean, she is your wife? How can she be your wife?"
Just then, Munna and Pandit also come inside, and looking at Aatish, they say, "Brother, we tried a lot to stop Tapish brother, but he was obsessed with marriage. He didn't listen to us at all and married the girl."
Aatish's eyes widen in surprise, and he looks at Tapish angrily, saying, "Have you lost your mind? You got married to some girl, and now you are standing in front of me saying she is the daughter-in-law of this house? Have you started drinking during the day too?"
Tapish says, "Brother, I haven't drunk alcohol during the day. I am fully conscious, and yes, I have married this girl. Her name is Chahat, and from today onwards, she is the daughter-in-law of this house. Now, why I married her, for what reason, and for what purpose, I will tell you right after I take her to her room. She is just frail in appearance."
Tapish said this jokingly, because Chahat wasn't heavy at all, she was just unconscious, so Tapish couldn't stand holding her.
Tapish takes Chahat inside and goes up to his room via the stairs. The room has a black and gray theme, with only things that would give the impression of being a devil or a demon. After laying Chahat on the king-size bed in the middle of the room, Tapish comes out of his room and says directly to Aatish downstairs, "Come to the study with me, I will tell you."
No response from Groq.
"Who are you? Where is my husband?" As soon as Chahat asked this question, Tapish's eyes narrowed. He looked at Chahat with surprised eyes and said… "Are you still drunk? Can't you see me?"
Tears welled up in Chahat's eyes, and she looked at Tapish with bewildered eyes. She looked around the room once more. Then she said to Tapish… "Is this some kind of joke? Where is Bhanu Ji? Where is my husband?"
When Chahat said this, Tapish's eyes narrowed. He started taking steps towards Chahat, one by one. Seeing him approaching her, Chahat nervously began to step back.
Chahat again leaned against the painting on the wall, the painting of the Death Devil. The Devil was sitting on a chair, his arms spread wide, embracing everything.
Just then, Chahat leaned against the painting. It was as if the Devil had embraced Chahat in his arms.
Tapish came very close to Chahat and, placing one hand on the wall, leaned slightly towards her. Chahat was looking into his intense eyes. Tapish's gaze sent shivers down Chahat's spine.
Looking at Chahat with the intensity of his gaze, Tapish said… "No one enters this room because I don't like it when anyone touches my things. Just think, when I am so possessive of my belongings, how possessive will I be of my wife? Especially when my wife is taking another man's name."
Chahat's eyes widened in surprise. She said to Tapish… "I am not your wife..."
Tapish immediately put his finger to Chahat's mouth, silencing her. But as Chahat felt his hand on her face, her breath caught in her throat. She stared wide-eyed only at Tapish. Tapish, gazing intently at Chahat, slowly caressed her lips with his thumb and said,
"I don't like repeating myself, but this rule doesn't apply to you. You will ask ten times, and I will give the same answer ten times: that you are my wife."
After that, Tapish slowly moved his fingers from Chahat's lips to her neck. Chahat was getting goosebumps with every move Tapish made. But she felt as if her feet were nailed to the spot; she couldn't move.
Reaching Chahat's neck, Tapish slightly lifted the chain from her neck and held it out in front of her, showing it to her, and said, "There can be no greater proof than this for you."
Chahat looked at the bullet pendant with surprise. She remembered how Bhanu had put the mangalsutra around her neck, and now there was no mangalsutra around her neck. Instead, there was a pendant on a chain.
Tapish grabbed Chahat's arm and brought her to the dressing table. Chahat felt like thousands of needles pricking her entire body; she seemed incapable of thinking or understanding anything.
Tapish brought Chahat to the dressing table and, showing her reflection in the mirror, said, "Even if you adorned yourself in someone else's name, the sindoor is in my name."
Chahat looked at herself in the mirror. From her nose to her forehead and from her forehead to her entire head, she was covered in sindoor. When had this sindoor been applied to her hair parting? Because Bhanu had only put the mangalsutra on her. So, was he telling the truth? Had he applied this sindoor? No, that couldn't be. Chahat took two steps back and, looking at Tapish, said in a trembling voice, "I don't accept this marriage. I was not conscious at that time."
Tapish said in his cold voice, "Then fine, stay unconscious your whole life. I won't have any problem carrying you in my arms."
Chahat looked at Tapish with panicked eyes and then moved towards the door, saying, "I don't want to stay here." Before Chahat could take another step, Tapish grabbed her wrist and pushed her against the wall. Chahat looked at Tapish with wide eyes. Tapish, looking into her eyes, said, "Wives do get angry and threaten to leave the house.
But don't even let this thought cross your mind that you can leave this house."
Chahat pulled her hands away from Tapish's grasp and, looking at him, said, "Let me go. Please let me go from here. I want to go to my home."
But Tapish's grip on Chahat's wrist tightened. He brought Chahat's wrist behind her back and said, "You are in your own home, and after marriage, a husband's home is a girl's real home. I just don't know how to talk more lovingly than this.
I don't want to be harsh with you because if that happens, what will people say? The bride's mehndi hasn't even faded, and the husband has started forcing her."
Tears began to fall from Chahat's eyes, and seeing her tears, Tapish's grip loosened. He let go of Chahat and stepped back, saying, "For now, there are no suitable clothes here for you. But I will get them..."
Then, coming close to Chahat's ears, Tapish said, "By the way, what's your size?"
Chahat looked at Tapish with surprised eyes. Tapish, with a crooked smile on his face, said, "Your sandal size. Tell me your foot size. The sandals will also arrive."
Chahat just stared at Tapish with wide eyes. Tapish, with a mischievous smile on his face, left the room. Now only Chahat was left in the room, who first looked around the room, which resembled a hell.
Then she turned and looked at herself in the mirror. Seeing the sindoor in her hair parting with Tapish's name, Chahat's soul trembled. She quickly put her hand on her chest and said, "This cannot happen. This is all a lie. This man is lying. He hasn't married me. He is just saying this to keep me imprisoned here. I don't want to stay here. I will run away from here."
Tapish was descending the stairs, folding the sleeves of his shirt, when Atish came up in his wheelchair and said,
"Tapish! Where are you going, and where is Chahat?"
Tapish replied, "I am going out for some work. She is in the room."
Atish asked, "Is everything alright? Didn't Chahat react to anything?"
Tapish came to Atish and sat near his wheelchair, saying, "Why are you worrying, brother? I know very well how to handle my wife. And anyway, she is a mafia queen. If she were simple and innocent, I would be worried. It's good that she fights back."
Atish said, "Look, Tapish! I don't know what's happening between you and Chahat right now, or how Chahat might have reacted. But as far as I've seen Chahat, she is very innocent. Are you sure you can handle her? I'm telling you to tell her the truth."
Tapish replied, "Absolutely not. If I tell her the truth now, she will get scared. You leave all this to me. I will definitely tell Chahat the truth, but not now. When the right time comes."
Tapish stood up and, looking around, said, "Where is Tej? Haven't seen him for 2 days?"
Atish replied, "He's been in Hamdard Colony for two days. He doesn't even know you're married. If he finds out, you're in trouble."
Just then, Munna and Pandit arrived and said, "Let's go, Atish bhai! All preparations are done."
Tapish looked at Atish in surprise and said, "Where are you going?"
Atish moved his wheelchair forward and said, "I have some work. I'm going to Hamdard Colony."
Tapish's eyes narrowed, and he said, "You're going there again. That old man will get angry at you again. I don't know what his problem is. He's quiet because of you, otherwise, he would have been sent to the heavens by now."
Atish looked at Tapish angrily and said, "Tapish! Control your tongue. I told you, this is between me and Master Ji. Don't you dare interfere. Whatever he says, he says to me. It has nothing to do with you. Anyway, you're married now. Focus on your wife."
Tapish exhaled deeply and said to Munna and Pandit, "Stay with my brother. And if Master Ji talks nonsense this time, fire 10-12 shots in the air. The entire Hamdard Colony won't dare to look at my brother for a month."
Munna came to Atish and, holding the handles of his wheelchair, said, "Brother, maybe the whole colony won't look, but this Master Ji, nothing can be done about him. He was already angry at Atish bhai, and he will say more things to him later."
Munna and Pandit left with Atish for Hamdard Colony, and Tapish went off for his own work. No one was at home, and Mallika took advantage of this.
She quietly left her room and, using the stairs, stood outside Tapish's room. Looking at the door with anger, she said, "You'll just bring some girl home as your wife, and I'll accept it? Only I can be your wife. What haven't I done for you? You slept with whomever you wanted. That's why I didn't do it, because one day you'd bring another girl to your bed. You haven't even let me touch you. And you held this girl's hand and brought her into the house. I feel like killing her. But I think I won't need to do that. Because I saw the surprise in her eyes regarding this marriage. Her facial expressions told me she doesn't accept this marriage. If she herself doesn't accept the marriage, then I don't need to work hard. Now, let's see how I remove this girl from your life and from this house."
Mallika turned the doorknob and opened the door to the room. Chahat, who was standing in front of the dressing table, taking off her jewelry, was startled when the door opened and turned around. Mallika was standing at the door, and seeing Mallika, fear reappeared on Chahat's face. Seeing Chahat afraid, a smile spread across Mallika's face, and she said to Chahat, "I can't come inside. Come outside."
Chahat remembered Mallika's actions when she had dragged her out of the room. Chahat stepped back in fear and said, "Look, don't come near me. I'm telling you, I haven't done anything. I don't accept this marriage. I don't want to stay here."
Mallika said, "If you don't want to stay here, I will help you get out. But first, you have to come out of the room. Because if Tapish finds out this time that I came into his room, he will surely kill me."
Hamdard Colony....
Aatish arrives in Hamdard Colony with a packet. The people present there are surprised to see Aatish.
Munna and Pandit take Aatish to a normal house in Hamdard Colony. The garage was being worked on downstairs, and houses were built upstairs for living. As soon as they reach the garage, a man comes out and says…
"Oh, Aatish bhai! Why did you bother to come? You should have called us."
Aatish said… "To get some work done, I have to come myself, Iqbal. Where is Tej? He hasn't come home in 2 days and isn't picking up his phone?"
Iqbal said… "Oh, the kid is studying.
At that, Munna, nudging Pandit, says… "We know very well what 'lesson' he's studying here."
Iqbal comes out of his garage, looks up towards the house, and says… "Tej! Look down, Aatish bhai has come."
Just then, the upstairs door opens, and a boy comes down rapidly. He was a 25-year-old boy with light stubble, wearing a simple shirt and denim jeans. He had a gold bracelet on one of his wrists. He comes and says to Aatish… "Oh brother! You are here?"
Seeing Tej, Aatish says… "You don't come home, so I thought I'd come to you."
Tej said… "It's not like that, brother! Actually, the thing is, I had to complete a college assignment. You know how noisy it is at home that I can't work."
Aatish said… "Alright, fine. Do one thing, put this stuff down and then come home. I have to tell you something important."
Just then, Iqbal says… "Oh brother, stay a little longer. I've ordered tea."
Tej takes the packet from Aatish and heads straight towards the house opposite, where there was a tailor shop downstairs and houses upstairs.
Tej places the packet near the stairs and looks towards the window of the house upstairs. Just then, the curtain of the window opens slightly, and an eye, adorned with kohl, looks down at Tej. Slowly, the curtain opens fully, and a beautiful face is looking at Tej. A 20-year-old girl, wearing kohl in her eyes and a nose ring, with natural pinkness on her cheeks and innocence radiating from her face. But as soon as Tej's eyes meet those eyes… the curtain closes again. A smile appears on Tej's face.
Tej, smiling, returns to the garage. By now, Aatish had sat down inside with Iqbal, and only Munna and Pandit were outside. Seeing Tej arrive, Munna puts a hand on Tej's shoulder and says… "What's up, Romeo! The father hasn't reformed, and the son is already getting spoiled."
Pandit laughs and says… "Let it be, Munna! He never talks to her anyway. He only sees Sabiya from a distance."
The three of them smile. Tej, with a smile, looks back towards the closed window again.
The three of them go inside to Aatish. Iqbal serves everyone tea. They all sit together and drink tea, but Aatish had asked everyone not to mention Tapish's wedding. Aatish wanted family matters to be handled within the family.
Aatish said to Tej… "Did you give the stuff?" Tej nods. Aatish says… "Did anyone see?"
Tej said… "Brother! Sabiya saw it." Aatish smiles and says… "She won't say anything."
Just then, a shouting voice comes from outside.
😡😡.. Hey you scoundrel, take your ill-gotten gains and get out. I'm not dead yet! 😡
Aatish closes his eyes with displeasure. 😔.
Munna stands up and says… "Is the tailor master angry again? Brother, what is this old man's problem? I tolerate him because of you. If it were up to me, I'd put six bullets into him and shut that old man's scissor-like tongue too." 😠
But Aatish says… "Calm down. Whatever he's saying, he's saying to me. You don't need to get involved."
They all come out of Iqbal's garage. Pandit brings out Aatish's wheelchair.
In front of them stands a 55-year-old elderly man, glaring at them angrily.
Iqbal, coming out of his garage, says to the man…
"What are you so proud of, Uncle? You've gotten so old. Your eyesight has diminished. That's why no one gets their clothes stitched by you anymore. On top of that, you have a hundred diseases. You don't even have money for medicines.
Sabiya had to drop out of college because you couldn't pay the fees. Your wife has asthma. God forbid, if your wife's asthma pump doesn't arrive on time, it might so happen that your wife goes to Allah."
Masterji, bursting with anger, says… "Shut your nonsense, you wretched fellow!" 😠
Tej sees that the packet he had placed outside Sabiya's house is lying on the street, and from it, medicines, asthma pumps, and some money are scattered like trash.
Sabiya and her mother were trying to manage the tailor master and take him inside. The tailor master, in his anger, was not seeing anyone.
Tej glances at Sabiya, and she lowers her gaze. 😔.
Aatish steps forward and says in a very gentle tone… "What's the matter, Masterji? Why all this noise?"
Masterji glares at Aatish in anger and says… "You were sending this ill-gotten wealth to my house? What did you think? We are dying for this? 😡 These old bones still have enough strength to feed my wife and children. 😡 I don't need your charity.
Aatish, with a gentle smile on his face, says to him… "This is no charity, Masterji! These are Aunty's medicines, and the money is for Sabiya's college. Let the girl go to college. Her education is being ruined."
Masterji says angrily… "I would rather she remain uneducated than get an education from your ill-gotten gains."
Aatish, with the same smile on his face, says… "You are thinking wrong. I knew you wouldn't touch money earned through wrong means. Whatever this stuff is, it's from the garage earnings. I was just helping you..."
Masterji shouts angrily… "By what right were you helping me? What are you to us? You are neither my son nor my son-in-law. So, by what right are you helping me?" 😡
At Masterji's question, Aatish lowers his gaze and says… "Out of humanity."
Masterji smiles sarcastically and says…
"Do you see, neighbors? He is lecturing me on humanity. He himself has sold his humanity somewhere and has come to teach me humanity? 😡 His business is arms. Weapons that take the lives of millions. He deals in hawala money, which makes millions starve, and this gentleman is teaching me humanity? 😡 Your brother, he's an underworld don, isn't he? The whole family is involved in wrongdoings, and you're teaching me honesty? Take your ill-gotten gains and get out of here. Don't ever come in front of me again."
Sabiya and her mother forcefully drag Masterji inside and close the door.
Tej goes forward and starts putting the things thrown on the street back into the packet. Munna looks at Aatish angrily and says…
"Brother! Mumbai fears him by name. No one dares to open their mouth in front of him. But this old man says whatever he wants and leaves, and you say nothing?"
Aatish takes the packet from Tej's hands and, looking at them all, says… "I told you this is between me and Masterji. All of you will stay away from it."
After that, Aatish hands the packet to Pandit and says… "Sabia's friend, right? What's her name?"
Pandit says… "Yes, Jyoti! She lives nearby."
Aatish says… "Yes, give this stuff to her and tell her to give it to Sabiya from her end."
Chahat had run away from home, and Mallika had helped her escape. Mallika had helped Chahat escape through the back gate of the house.
Chahat was currently sitting in a taxi. As the taxi stopped in front of her house, Chahat quickly got out of the taxi and went inside.
As soon as she reached her house, she stood at the door, panting heavily, and said… "Bhabhi."
Anita and Megha, who were in the hall, widened their eyes in surprise when they saw Chahat. Chahat's entire face was drenched in sweat. She was no longer wearing jewelry, but she was still wearing her wedding lehenga.
Chahat sees that her wedding canopy has been dismantled, and the decorations are slowly being removed. She looked at her family with despair. Anita and Megha stand up from the sofa and look at each other in surprise.
Just then, Jai and Pushkar arrive. When they both see Chahat in front of them, they are also quite surprised. Anita says… "Chahat! What are you doing here?"
Chahat, breathing rapidly, comes inside and stands in front of Anita and Jai, saying… "Bhabhi! I've come back home. I don't want to go anywhere now."
Hearing Chahat's words, all four of them were stunned. They all looked at each other in surprise.
Megha says… "What do you mean? What do you mean by you've come back home? You are married. You can't come back home now. Go to your husband's house."
Tears welled up in Chahat's eyes, and looking at her brothers and sisters-in-law, she started crying and saying… "Which husband? The person I married isn't here, and the one who is in front of me… when did I marry him? How did I marry him? I don't know anything."
Anita said… "We don't know any of that. That person came like a storm and destroyed everything and took you away like a tempest. Now that he has taken you, so be it.
You cannot come back to this house. Whether it happened when you were conscious or after you regained consciousness, the truth is that that person married you.
That too in front of the whole world. Now, whatever it is, he is your husband."
Chahat says, crying… "I don't accept this marriage." Jai says angrily… "Your acceptance or non-acceptance won't change the truth, will it?"
Chahat says, crying… "But how did you all let this happen? You all knew very well that I was in shock, yet you all allowed this?"
Pushkar said… "We tried a lot to stop that madman, but he was obsessed with marrying you, and for that, he was even ready to kill us all. Now, we can't give our lives for you, can we?"
Chahat was shocked, hearing her brothers' words. She couldn't believe that her family had risked her life for their own gain.
Chahat looked at Anita and Jai in surprise. They were her elder brother and sister-in-law, but how could they say this to her? Chahat had never expected anything from her family, because she knew that expecting anything from here was futile. That's why she started struggling in her life. She had struggled for everything, but when her marriage with Bhanu was being discussed, she thought that her family was making the right decision for her. Now, what did it matter if Chahat had agreed to the marriage out of compulsion?
Seeing all the wedding preparations, Chahat was very happy that her family was getting her married with such grandeur. Anyway, her marriage to Bhanu was an arranged marriage, and in an arranged marriage, one gets to understand the other person gradually. Perhaps her brothers had chosen Bhanu for her after seeing something.
After all, even if they were stepbrothers, Chahat was their sister. She had been living with them since childhood. No matter how badly they treated her, they would never hand her over to a wrong person.
Chahat had accepted her marriage with Bhanu as her destiny, but the way she was looking at her two brothers at that moment, it seemed as if she was looking at strangers. Even though they had never spoken to Chahat lovingly, today they were making her feel as if she held no value in their lives.
Chahat said tearfully, "Brother! How can you say this? I am your sister."
Pushkar says, "There is no point in creating an emotional drama here. You are married. Now go to your husband. You can come to meet Gudia occasionally. We will not stop you, but you have to go back to your husband. Forget about staying here. A girl's real home is her in-laws' house."
Chahat shouts, "Which in-laws? I don't even know those people. You can't get me married to just anyone! You should have stopped this marriage. I was not in a condition to make any decision for myself. You are both elder to me. At least you should have made this decision for me."
Jai looks at Chahat and says, "We tried to stop her. But that man is crazy. He is a complete madman. He married you by force."
Chahat also says tearfully, "Exactly! That man is mad. And he married me by force. So why should I accept this marriage? When I don't even know what this marriage means?"
Anita and Megha looked at each other. The situation was escalating, Chahat was panicking, and this was not right. All the wedding guests knew that Chahat was married to someone. And by now, these four had also dug up Tapish's history, geography, and chemistry. A person who can create such a ruckus here with just a few people! Imagine what chaos he will create when he comes here upon his wife's disappearance? Anita thought strategically and said to Chahat,
"Chahat, listen to us! Look, we are not saying you did something wrong, but the truth is this, and you have to accept it. We cannot keep you with us now because you are married to Tapish. He is your husband. You have to stay with him wherever he keeps you, however he keeps you. Anyway, if you stay here, you understand that we might also get into trouble. Would you want to put your family in trouble?"
"Your husband is a complete madman. To marry you, he held all of us at gunpoint. If he ever finds out that we have kept you with us, then he will kill all of us without thinking."
"Is this what you want? Can you watch your family die before your eyes? Chahat, we know you are getting very emotional right now, but think with a cool head. Your decision can take all our lives, and what about Gudia after us? Will you leave her orphaned like yourself?"
Chahat's tears wouldn't stop. Hearing her sister-in-law's words, she looked at the four of them and said tearfully, "I have considered you all my family my whole life. Even if you all never considered me yours, you were everything to me. My brothers, my sister-in-law, you were my parents. When did I live with them? I have spent my entire life with you all! But today it feels like I was living in a lie, in a deception. I used to think that maybe not today, but tomorrow, you would look at me with love. You would accept me. But it was all a lie, all a deception, all my imagination. You can never accept me, nor will you ever speak to me kindly."
"You all want me not to come back to this house, right? Then fine. I am leaving this house, never to return. But yes, I will keep coming to meet Gudia. Even if you all have no relation with me, my relationship with Gudia will always remain. Neither you nor any power in the world can separate me from my Gudia."
Chahat, crying, ran back out the door. The four of them watched her in surprise. Pushkar came to Jai and said, "Is everything going alright? Isn't it possible that we will have to face the consequences of what we are doing with Chahat?"
Jai was just looking at Chahat leaving through the door with his gaze. Something was going on in his mind at that moment.
Chahat emerged from there and started walking on the road. Walking, she was thinking about her life. Was her destiny so bad that she had to see this day? The person she married, she doesn't even know him, and the one she was supposed to marry... 😳
Suddenly, Chahat's eyes widened in surprise, and she stopped. Chahat started thinking to herself... Bhanu ji! I am married to him. His family will surely accept me. When I tell them that this marriage was a deception and I don't accept this marriage, and only accept my marriage with Bhanu ji, then they will surely accept me. Yes, this will be right. I should go to Bhanu ji's house and talk to his family.
It was getting late in the evening. Chahat didn't have any money either, so she started walking towards Bhanu's house.
Saiba Mansion...
In the evening, when Tapish returned home, he was going straight to his room through the CDO, but before he could reach the room, Mallika came in front of Tapish and blocked his way with her arms spread wide. Seeing her, Tapish gave her a dangerous look and said,
"Do you want to die? Move aside."
But Mallika, shooting arrows of her charm, came near Tapish and teasingly touched his shirt collar, saying, "Hi, I am ready to die for you."
Tapish, shaking off Mallika's hand with his own, said, "I will fulfill this wish of yours soon. I don't know why, but I feel that your death will be at my hands."
Mallika, laughing, put her arms around Tapish's neck and looked into his eyes, saying, "Oh cruel one! I have already died for your love. Now I am yours, and this life is also yours. Take it if you want."
Tapish pulled her hands off his neck and pushed her against the wall, saying, "Get lost from here. Don't cast your beauty spells on me. Your magic of beauty only works on those who have never seen beauty. You are beautiful, but in terms of beauty, you are just a spark, and I have the whole fire."
Mallika's eyes widened with anger, and gritting her teeth, she said, "Who are you talking about? Who is more beautiful than me?"
Tapish clearly saw the jealousy on Mallika's face. He smiled again and said, "Have you ever seen my wife? If not, then look closely. In terms of beauty, she is far more beautiful than you."
Hearing Tapish praise Chahat, Mallika's face turned even redder with anger. She angrily blurted out, "I won't deny it, your wife is indeed very beautiful. Next time, send your wife to an enemy. Prove that she is more capable than me."
Tapish's entire face filled with anger, and his sharp eyes turned red. He grabbed Mallika by the throat and pressed her against the wall, gritting his teeth and saying, "They send you to sleep with enemies precisely so that you can bring their secrets to us. Do not compare yourself to my wife, because even if a prostitute on the street is more beautiful than a queen, to be a queen, one needs not just charm, but dignity."
Mallika was looking at Tapish with anger at first. Her throat was truly constricting from Tapish's grip, but she managed to wrench his hand away from her throat with all her might. Although it was very difficult for Mallika, Tapish himself let go of her throat because he couldn't kill this crazy woman at the moment; he still needed her.
Mallika, breathing heavily, stared at Tapish with her red eyes and said, "The dignity and honor you are boasting about... your wife has trampled that dignity under her feet and run away from here."
Tapish's entire face hardened, and looking at Mallika in anger, he said, "What nonsense are you talking?"
A devilish smile appeared on Mallika's face, and looking at Tapish, she said, "I am not talking nonsense, I am telling the truth. Go, go and see, your wife has run away from here, because she doesn't want to be with you."
Tapish's blood began to boil. He strode towards his room with even faster steps, filled with anger. Seeing him leave like that, Mallika said with a devilish smile,
"Only I can tolerate Tapish's heat. Because to clash with someone like you, you need a girl who has clashed with stones herself, and that girl is a wax doll. If she comes near Tapish, she will melt."
Chahat sets off on foot for Bhanu's house. Meanwhile, Tapish emerges from his room. As he descends the stairs, Aatish, Tej, Munna, and Pandit arrive at the door. All four are startled to see Tapish in such a rage.
Tej whispers into Pandit's ear, "Why does Tapish seem so angry? Did something happen?"
Munna, surprised himself, says, "We'll only find out if we ask."
Just as Tapish is about to leave, Aatish calls out, "Where are you going, and why are you so angry?"
Tapish stops at Aatish's words and looks at everyone with anger. However, he doesn't mention anything about Chahat to anyone, as he doesn't want to trouble them. He tells Aatish, "I'll be back shortly. I have some urgent work."
Afterward, Tapish leaves without even looking back. Aatish is surprised to see him go like that.
Meanwhile, Chahat finally reaches Bhanu's house after walking. As soon as she steps inside, she sees everyone sitting in the hall, all dressed in white clothes. Bhanu had already been cremated.
Bhanu's mother lay in a state of collapse, being attended to by some women. Bhanu's father sat with his head in his hands, accompanied by two or three relatives.
Beside them, the girl who was Bhanu's mistress also sat.
Chahat stood at the doorway, observing everyone. Suddenly, a woman's attention turns to Chahat, and she exclaims in surprise, "What is this girl doing here?"
At her words, everyone turns towards the door. They are all stunned to see Chahat. Bhanu's father rises from his seat and says, "What are you doing here?"
Chahat replies, "Uncle, I've come to my husband's house. Please let me stay here."
As Chahat steps forward to enter the house, Bhanu's mother rushes towards her, screaming and yelling, "Don't bring your ill-omened feet into my house!"
Chahat recoils a couple of steps, frightened. Bhanu's mother angrily approaches the doorway and shouts at Chahat, "Get out of here! We don't want the shadow of your misfortune in our home. Leave, right now! Before we throw you out by force."
Chahat looks at them, tearfully. She pleads with Bhanu's mother, "Don't do this. Where will I go? Please let me stay here. I'll live in any corner of the house. I'm begging you. At least let me stay here because Bhanu ji married me."
Just then, Bhanu's father steps forward and looks at Chahat angrily, saying, "Hey girl! Whatever this drama of yours is, take it to your brothers. Get out of here. And yes, you might consider that farce a marriage, but we don't. Now that Bhanu is gone, on the basis of what marriage are you demanding to stay here?"
Chahat looks at them, tears streaming down her face. Her tears intensify, and she tells them, "There was no drama. You were all there. My marriage to Bhanu ji was happening with all the rituals. He tied the mangalsutra around my neck."
At that moment, the mistress arrives, grabs Chahat by the arm, and forcefully shoves her towards the door. Chahat loses her balance, and her head hits the door. Chahat looks at the girl in surprise, who glares at her angrily. The girl shouts at Chahat,
"Don't you understand? Get out of here before I take your life. Bhanu lost his life because of you. Bhanu left all of us because of you. My world is ruined because of you, and you stand here claiming to be Bhanu's wife? No, you are Tapish Randhawa's wife. He married you. He is your real husband. Go die with your husband because he killed my husband."
As soon as Chahat hears this from the girl, her eyes widen in disbelief, and her mouth hangs open. Bhanu's mother approaches the girl and tries to calm her, saying, "Shifaali, calm down. It's not good for you to get this angry."
Chahat is still staring at them, stunned. In her trembling voice, she asks, "What did you say? Bhanu's wife, you? What are you trying to say?"
Shifaali glares at Chahat and says angrily, "I am Bhanu's wife. His first wife. Did you hear? Now get out of here."
Chahat continues to stare at them, her eyes wide. Shifaali grabs Chahat by the arm and pushes her out of the house. Chahat can't react, as she is in deep shock from Shifaali's words. She shoves Chahat out and throws her onto the street.
Chahat looks at the closed door in disbelief. She gets up and starts banging on the door with her hands, but it's no use. No one opens the door. When her hands tire from banging on the door, she gives up, steps back, and looks at the house, crying.
Chahat walks down the street with dejected steps. Shifaali's words echo in her ears like glass shards. She can't understand anything. If Shifaali was Bhanu's wife, then why was Bhanu marrying her? And how could Shifaali be involved in that wedding?
Lost in her thoughts, Chahat walks on. Suddenly, a Scorpio approaches from the front and stops a few steps away from Chahat. Chahat was walking dejectedly, but when she looked up and saw the Scorpio, her eyes widened in surprise.
Tapish was in the driver's seat, staring at Chahat with his intense eyes. Seeing Tapish, Chahat's feet froze, and a shiver ran down her spine.
Just as Tapish was about to open the car door, Chahat lifts her lehenga and starts running in the opposite direction. Seeing her run like this, Tapish quickly closes his eyes.
Chahat runs down the road at a fast pace, and seeing her run, Tapish says softly, "I've heard wives chase their husbands. I didn't think I'd have to do it too."
Chahat runs as fast as she can, even though her body is completely drained of strength. However, the need to escape Tapish seems to have given her an energy boost.
Chahat runs away from that place and then notices a police car. A man was standing next to it, with his back to Chahat. Chahat looks at the policeman, hoping for help, believing the law would surely assist her. Chahat runs towards the policeman and, gasping, says,
"Please, help me... That man, he's trying to force me to go with him. I don't want to go with him. Please, help me. He's very dangerous. He even killed my husband."
Hearing this, the officer's face registers surprise, and he says angrily, "Killed him? Murder? This means he has committed murder? Bloodshed, and in my area? In ACP Akshat's area? Madam, don't worry. The law will definitely help you, and I will ensure that criminal gets the harshest punishment. Come with me. Tell me who killed your husband."
Chahat feels immense relief hearing that someone will help her. The anxiety on Chahat's face slightly lessens. Now the law was helping her, and Chahat had so much faith in the law that it wouldn't disappoint her.
Akshat opens the door for Chahat. Chahat gets into the car, and Akshat gets into the driver's seat from the other side. He says, "Tell me, Madam, where is that murderer? I'll arrest him right now."
Chahat says, "He's the other way." Akshat starts the car and drives angrily in the direction Chahat indicated.
Chahat sees that Akshat's entire face is filled with anger. This means he is very excited to catch that murderer at this moment. Now Tapish will be caught, and the law will punish him. Thinking this, Chahat feels relieved.
Just then, their car returns to a road, and Chahat sees Tapish's Scorpio parked ahead. Seeing the car, Chahat tells Akshat, "There's the murderer. He's in that car."
Tapish also sees the police car in front of him, and his eyes harden. He gets out of the car angrily. Akshat's face is also filled with anger. He too gets out of his car.
Chahat also gets scared seeing Tapish. She slowly opens the car door and gets out. Akshat angrily looks at Tapish and asks, "Madam, are you absolutely sure that this is the man who killed your husband?"
Chahat nods and says, "This is the man who killed my husband. Arrest him."
Akshat angrily looks at Tapish and says, "Don't worry."
After that, Akshat starts walking towards Tapish, step by step. Tapish stands stylishly by his car with his hands on his hips, but his sharp gaze is fixed on Akshat, who is approaching him. Akshat comes right in front of Tapish and glares at him.
Tapish's gaze is also stern, and he stares back at Akshat. Akshat scans Tapish from head to toe and says through gritted teeth,
"I've seen many scoundrels... but never a scoundrel like you... Did you get married quietly to avoid giving sweets?"
Chahat. 😵
Chahat stared ahead, her eyes wide with surprise. Her mouth hung open, so wide that a fly could have crawled in, let alone a fish. 😁
Akshat said to Tapish, his voice tinged with mock accusation, "You've saved money on the sweets, you miser."
Slowly, a broad smile spread across Tapish's face. Akshat's face also lit up with a smile. They looked at each other and started laughing.
Chahat just watched them both, her mouth still agape. Akshat and Tapish, laughing, hugged each other. Akshat playfully punched Tapish on the back a couple of times and said, "Congratulations, my friend."
Tapish smiled at Akshat and replied, "I'm not a miser, I just didn't get the chance to sweeten your mouth. You'll get a wedding party soon enough."
Chahat continued to look at them both in astonishment. Akshat, glancing at Chahat, said, "Oh, Bhabhi! Why are you standing out here? It's so hot outside. Tapish's car has AC, you should go and sit comfortably."
Chahat's entire face was filled with bewilderment. Akshat looked at Tapish and asked, "Dude, why is Bhabhi running like this? And what was she rambling about?"
Tapish said, "Nothing. She's just come from afar, you see, so she's gotten a bit emotional. That's why she says anything. And as for her running… she was telling me she's going to participate in the marathon this year. That's why she was practicing."
Akshat made a strange face and said, "Practicing for a marathon in a lehenga?"
Tapish glared at Akshat and retorted, "What's it to you? She's my wife. Let her run in a lehenga or a sari."
Akshat shrugged his shoulders and replied, "What's it to me? She's your wife, let her run however she wants."
Tapish slowly started walking towards Chahat, and seeing him approach, Chahat became more nervous. She started taking steps backward, but Tapish's speed seemed to be too much.
Before Tapish could reach Chahat, she turned to run away. But Tapish quickly moved forward and grabbed her hand. Chahat looked at Tapish with frightened eyes, and Tapish said, "If you're done with your desire to run, then come home quietly."
Chahat tried to pull her wrist free and said, "Let me go! I don't want to go anywhere with you. You've even roped in the policeman."
But Tapish didn't let go of Chahat's hand and, looking at her, said, "I haven't roped anyone in. He's my friend, and I sent him in front of you so that you would realize there's no escape from me. Even the police are with me. So, whatever foolishness you've done, you've done it. Now, come home quietly."
Tapish dragged Chahat towards his car. Just then, Chahat yanked her hand away forcefully and stopped, looking at Akshat and saying, "Shame on you. You're a policeman, and instead of helping people, you're siding with a goon?"
Akshat let out a deep sigh and said, "Look, Bhabhi, I don't know what problems you and Tapish have, but if Tapish is taking you with him, please go with him. He won't harm you. I know him at least that much."
Tapish put Chahat in the car and locked the door, then started talking to Akshat. Chahat couldn't hear their conversation, but their expressions were far from normal.
A little later, Tapish returned and started the car from the driver's seat. Chahat just glared at him angrily.
But Tapish didn't turn his face towards Chahat even once. Instead, he focused solely on driving.
As their car entered the Saiba Mansion, Tapish opened the car door, got out, and then opened Chahat's door, saying, "Get out."
Chahat looked at Tapish angrily and said, "I'm not coming. I don't want to go with you."
Tapish tightly closed his eyes and grabbed Chahat's hand, pulling her out of the car. Chahat glared at Tapish in anger, and Tapish closed the car door, saying, "It's late. Everyone must be asleep. Don't you dare make a sound with your mouth inside the house."
"Or what will you do?" Chahat retorted, glaring back at Tapish. A devilish smile appeared on Tapish's face, and he said, "Then I'll put Fevikwik on your lips and stick them permanently." 😈
Chahat just stared at Tapish, her eyes wide. Could this be a method of torture? Where did he find such unique ways?
Tapish led Chahat back into the house, this time holding her hand and taking her straight to the room from the stairs. Chahat had once again arrived in that devilish room. During the day, seeing the room had distressed her, but at night, it gave a complete hellish feeling. It had become even more terrifying at night.
Tapish released Chahat's hand after bringing her into the room. Chahat quickly stepped back a couple of paces and, glaring at Tapish angrily, asked, "What do you want from me?"
Tapish looked at Chahat calmly and said, "For now, I just want my wife to be with me."
Chahat said angrily, "I am not your wife. I don't accept this marriage."
Tapish replied with a cold gaze, "It's your problem that you don't accept the marriage. But I do, don't I? And if I accept it, does it matter if anyone else does or doesn't? So, instead of arguing about it, it's better to stay with me quietly."
After that, a mischievous expression appeared on Tapish's face, and he said, "Okay, you look good when you fight, but it's not good to fight on your wedding night. You have a whole lifetime for fighting."
The mention of their wedding night made Chahat gasp, and her eyes widened in surprise. She pointed a finger at Tapish and said, "Be warned, if you even try to come near me, I'll smash your head."
Tapish slowly walked towards Chahat with a smile on his face, and by Chahat's bad luck, she was once again moving towards that death devil's painting. But before she could reach the wall, Tapish grabbed her by the waist and pulled her closer.
Chahat just stared at Tapish in wide-eyed surprise, and Tapish, with a crooked smile on his face, said, "If I want to come close to you, then no power in the world can stop me from doing it. Shall I show you a demo?"
Chahat just stared at Tapish, her eyes wide, when suddenly Tapish pulled the drawstring of her blouse from behind.
With one string holding it, her blouse opened from the back, revealing her back. Tapish let go of Chahat, and she, adjusting her blouse, leaned against the death devil's painting.
The anger that was in Chahat's eyes had now turned into fear, and she looked at Tapish nervously. Obviously, she was in his room with him. If Tapish did anything to her, whom would she call for help?
Tears welled up in Chahat's eyes, and she looked at Tapish in bewilderment. Tapish took a cigarette pack from the drawer and said,
"You are my wife, and I don't need your permission to do anything with you. But you see, I have a dream fantasy prepared for our wedding night. I imagined my wife coming to me in a hot, sexy, transparent nightgown and calling me closer with a sexy dance."
Tapish brought a cigarette to his lips, lit it with a lighter, and exhaling the smoke into the air, he said,
"But in the state you are in, I have no desire to come near you. So, go freshen up in the bathroom, and after that, if you feel like it, you can come into the room wearing a hot nightgown too. I'm ready."
Chahat looked at Tapish nervously and asked, "What do you mean by 'you're ready'?"
Tapish laughed, blowing smoke into the air, and said, "My dear wife, my name isn't just Tapish; my handsomeness is also visible on my face. If you see me without clothes and can't control yourself, attracted by my hotness? Then I'll have to step forward to handle my wife, won't I?"
Chahat's face filled with anger along with surprise, and she said, "Stop your nonsense."
Tapish started laughing and, gesturing to a corner of the room, said, "I've never bought girls' clothes. I just brought whatever I could find. I'm going to the kitchen to get food. Will you eat after freshening up, or will you eat as you are?"
Chahat glared at Tapish, and Tapish, laughing and blowing smoke into the air, said as he left the room, "Perhaps you intend to eat as you are."
After Tapish left, Chahat looked around the room in astonishment. She slowly moved towards the dressing table, adjusting her blouse, and looked at her back. Her entire back was exposed. Chahat scanned the floor of the room, looking for her drawstring. She didn't know how Tapish had pulled it off; she couldn't find it anymore.
Just then, Chahat's eyes fell on the packets. It had been a whole day, after all, that she had been moving around in this heavy lehenga. And now, even her own body smelled of sweat. Stuck in a "what else could I do" situation, Chahat slowly walked towards the packets.
There were about 5 packets kept there. She slowly picked up one packet, and inside it was a set of a palazzo suit. Out of compulsion, Chahat had to take those clothes. Chahat had used the washroom in this room during the day, so she knew where it was. She went into the washroom and took out the suit. Just then, something fell from the packet onto the floor. Chahat looked down in surprise, and her eyes widened even more in astonishment.
It was a lingerie set. Chahat's eyes widened in surprise. She quickly picked up the lingerie, put it back in the bag, and said, "What a rude person. Doesn't he even know that he shouldn't buy such clothes for girls? I wonder what he was thinking when he bought this for me?"
Chahat came out of the bathroom after freshening up. She was drying her hands with a towel when she saw… Tapish was already present in the room. He had also brought food and placed it on the table.
But when Tapish's gaze fell on Chahat, he was stunned. His mouth hung open. Chahat looked incredibly beautiful in the sky-blue salwar suit.
Tapish started walking towards Chahat, and seeing him approach, Chahat became nervous.
As he came near her, he was peering into her neck. When Chahat saw him doing that, she quickly held the towel she was holding in her hand against her chest and said, "What are you looking at?"
A mischievous smile appeared on Tapish's face. He said, "I'm checking if you've worn everything or not?"
Tapish was in the bathroom at the moment, and Chahat stood in the middle of the room. Her gaze first fell on the table where the food was placed. The truth was that Chahat hadn't eaten anything since morning and was really very hungry at the moment, but one part of her told her that she shouldn't eat anything from here.
Inside the bathroom, Tapish was trying to calm himself down. He just wanted to avoid saying anything in front of Chahat that would scare her even more.
After freshening up, Tapish came out, and his eyes narrowed because Chahat was standing at the door, trying to open it by turning the handle, but the door wasn't opening.
Tapish slowly walked towards Chahat and, standing behind her, said, "What are you doing?"
Chahat got startled and leaned against the door, standing with her back to it. She looked at Tapish with fearful eyes and said, "I! Nothing, I was just..."
But Tapish realized what Chahat was trying to do. His eyes narrowed, and he said, "Haven't you gotten tired running around from here to there all day? Just eat your food quietly and go to sleep."
As Tapish turned to leave after saying this, Chahat said, "I don't want to eat."
Tapish turned his neck to look at Chahat and said, "Are you telling the truth? You really don't want to eat?"
Chahat nodded in agreement. Tapish took a deep breath and then, putting all the food on a tray, looked at Chahat and said, "Fine! If you don't want to eat it now, eat it later. Why spoil it by leaving it out? Besides, there are many people who don't even get one meal a day. So, you should respect food."
Tapish stood in front of Chahat with the tray. Chahat's eyes were fixed on the food. Tapish said, "Move aside."
Tapish's words brought Chahat back to her senses, and she moved away from the door. Now Chahat noticed a panel on the wall next to the door with some numbers on it. She didn't know what number Tapish entered that opened the door.
Chahat stared with her mouth agape, and Tapish went out.
After the door closed, Chahat went to the panel and said, "Who puts numbers to close a door?"
"Where have I gotten myself into! I need to get out of here as soon as possible. But where will I go? My brother has refused to let me into his house, and Bhanu Ji's family... That girl said she was Bhanu's wife. I need to find out about this... I think things are not as straightforward as they appear. But to know all this, I have to get out of here. Now, how do I get out, and who do I go to?"
Just then, Chahat thought of Prerna and said, "Prerna! Yes, I can go to Prerna's house. Until I arrange for somewhere else to stay, I'll stay with her."
As Chahat was thinking all this, the door opened again, and Tapish came in. Tapish approached Chahat and said, "2512."
Chahat made a face and said, "I don't want your number." A slight smile appeared on Tapish's face, and he leaned over Chahat, saying, "This isn't my number. It's the code for the door. You'll have to use this code to open the door."
Chahat looked at Tapish with a pout. Tapish straightened up and said, "You don't want to eat. Do you want to sleep, or not even that?"
Chahat looked at Tapish angrily and said, "I won't sleep with you."
Tapish burst out laughing and said, laughing, "I was just talking about sleeping. You're the one who brought up sleeping with me. Although, I don't have a problem if you want to sleep with me."
Chahat glared at Tapish, and Tapish took a step back, smiling, and said, "This room and this person are both yours. The rest, you're smart enough to figure out."
Saying this, Tapish started unbuttoning his shirt. When Chahat saw him doing that, she quickly closed her eyes and turned her face away. Tapish had a mysterious smile on his face, and he took off his shirt. Now he was just standing in his pants, his muscular chest exposed.
Chahat, with her eyes closed, had turned her face away; she wasn't even looking at Tapish.
And Tapish stood with his arms crossed, watching Chahat. When Chahat didn't look up at Tapish for two minutes, Tapish came closer and said, "Will you be able to resist?"
Chahat said angrily, "Aren't you ashamed? Standing
Tej and Chahat shouted "Thief!" together.
The sound was so loud that those who were asleep woke up in a panic, as if an earthquake had occurred, and all the lights in the house turned on at once. Everyone started scrambling to find the thief.
Atish was not asleep in his room at this time; he was gazing at the moon from his window. Suddenly, he heard the loud shouts of "Thief! Thief!" He was sitting in his automatic wheelchair.
Atish pressed the button on his wheelchair and came out. He saw everyone standing ready to find the thief, armed with guns, pistols, sticks, bats, and whatever else they could find.
Tapish had just stepped out of his room. In fact, when Chahat had come out of her room, he hadn't been sleeping; he had just been lying there with his eyes closed. How could he sleep, knowing that Chahat was going to be awake all night? Thinking about it, he couldn't sleep.
Just then, Tapish heard the sound of a door opening, and a crooked smile appeared on his face. As soon as Chahat stepped out of the door. Tapish opened his eyes, sat up on the bed, and said, "Looks like there are more hurdles to overcome. That's why everyone says that whether you eat the 'laddu' of marriage or not, you regret it. We ate it and we regret it."
Tapish got off the bed and came out of the room, buttoning up his shirt. But as soon as he stepped out, he heard the shouts of "Thief! Thief!" and all the lights in the mansion turned on at once.
Tapish descended the stairs and asked, "Where is the thief?"
Munna and Pandit, who were standing with brooms and sticks in their hands, saw Tapish. Munna said, "Brother, we haven't found the thief yet. But as soon as we do, we'll beat him up so badly that he'll never be able to steal from his own house again. How dare he come to our house to steal!"
Just then, a man came and said, "We've searched everywhere. The thief isn't here."
Munna asked, "Where did the voice come from?"
Pandit said, "It seemed to come from the kitchen. Maybe the thief is in the kitchen?"
Suddenly, Tapish remembered Chahat. He walked quickly towards the kitchen, and as soon as he entered, his eyes widened in surprise.
Munna, Pandit, and Atish Bhai also came into the kitchen behind Tapish, and they were stunned by the scene before them.
On one side of the table, Tej was using a roti-turning tong like a weapon, and right in front of him, on the other side of the table, Chahat was using a bottle gourd like a weapon. It looked like they were fighting a battle around the table, because the entire table was strewn with items: bowls, spoons, plates, biscuit packets, savory packets, apples, grapes, bananas, papayas.
And don't even ask about Chahat and Tej. It was as if they had played Holi with tomato ketchup.
Everyone was shocked to see them like this. Atish shouted loudly, "Tej, what is all this happening?"
Chahat and Tej's attention turned to everyone else. Tej quickly approached Atish and Tapish and said, "Brother, this girl is a thief! She was stealing apples from our kitchen."
Tapish stared at Tej and then looked at Chahat, who quickly shook her head.
Atish reprimanded Tej, "What nonsense are you talking? Are you in your senses? Do you know who you are talking about?"
Tej quickly said, "Yes! I know who I am talking about! About this girl, this girl is a thief. But she doesn't know whose house she has stolen from. When she finds out, she'll be stunned."
Atish reached out and pulled Tej's ear, saying, "You've got a big mouth! Don't you think before you speak, who you're talking about? What you're saying? And why would she steal from her own house?"
Tej, pulling his ear away from Atish's hands in surprise, said, "My own house? Since when did this house belong to this girl?"
Munna said, "Ever since Tapish Bhai married her."
Hearing Munna's words, Tej's eyes widened in surprise, and he stared at Munna with his mouth open. Only then did he turn his face to look at Tapish, who had been listening to Tej's nonsense with his piercing gaze.
Tej looked at Tapish in surprise, and Tapish's eyes, which were fixed on Tej at that moment, showed no affection at all.
Atish hit Tej and said, "You insolent boy, aren't you ashamed to speak to your sister-in-law like this? You declared her a thief? What need does she have to steal here? Go and apologize to her."
But Tej was still staring at Tapish with wide, surprised eyes. Tapish glared at Tej and went to Chahat, looked at her, and said, "What are you doing here at this time?"
Chahat lowered her head slightly. Looking at Tapish, she said softly, "I was hungry, so I came to get something to eat."
Atish then said, "Tapish, Chahat hasn't eaten?"
Tapish turned his face to Atish and said, "I tried, but she wanted to go on a hunger strike then."
Tej came up to Tapish and said angrily, "Brother, what is all this? You got married and didn't even tell me!"
Tapish said, "I didn't even know I was going to get married, so how could I tell you?"
But Tej, maintaining his anger, said, "I don't care about all that! I had so many dreams about your wedding, you've ruined all my dreams and you just got married. What about me now? What about my dreams? I thought I would dance the 'Nagin' dance in front of your horse. But here you've spoiled everything for me."
And alright, you got married... why didn't you introduce me to my sister-in-law?"
Chahat looked at Tej and said, "I am not your sister-in-law!" At Chahat's words, everyone looked in surprise. But Tapish intervened, "What she means is that she's not old enough for someone to call her sister-in-law, and it feels strange to her."
Tej brought a slight smile to his face and said, "Oh, sister-in-law! Now you are Tapish brother's wife, so by that right, you are all our sister-in-law, right? So if we don't call you sister-in-law, what else will we call you? And I'm sorry for throwing this tomato ketchup at you. I didn't know who you were."
Atish moved his automatic wheelchair forward and said, "Chahat, Tej is the youngest, so sometimes he does silly things. Don't mind what he says, and it's quite late now, go and sleep."
Then, Atish looked at Tapish and said, "Feed Chahat."
Tapish nodded in agreement, and everyone left the kitchen one by one. After everyone had left, Tapish looked at Chahat, who was staring at him. Chahat looked at Tapish and said, "Why didn't you tell everyone the truth?"
Tapish's eyes narrowed, and he said, "What truth?"
Chahat said, "That I am not your wife."
Tapish stared at Chahat and said, "And why would I say that? Because it's not true. In fact, the truth is that you are my wife."
Tapish walked directly to the refrigerator, took out food, and started putting it in the microwave. Looking at Chahat, he said, "Will you eat this here, or in your room?"
Chahat looked at Tapish angrily and said, "I don't want to eat."
Just then, Chahat's stomach growled. Tapish also heard it, and a crooked smile appeared on his face. But Chahat's eyes widened in surprise. Damn, her stomach had betrayed her at the wrong moment. She quickly pressed both hands against her stomach to stifle the sound.
Tapish looked at Chahat and said, "You may not want to eat, but your stomach is very hungry. It needs food right now, because whatever mischief you're planning in your mind requires energy, and for that, you need to eat, right, wife?"
Chahat looked at Tapish angrily. Tapish brought the food tray to Chahat and said, "Now tell me, will you eat this here or in your room?"
Chahat quickly took the food tray from Tapish's hand, and with it, she ran out of the door. Tapish laughed as he watched her go. Chahat quickly reached her room via the stairs and sat on the sofa, eating rapidly, trying to finish the food before Tapish arrived. But her bad luck wouldn't have it any other way. The door suddenly opened, and Tapish entered.
Chahat had food in her mouth, and with Tapish's sudden entry, she started coughing uncontrollably.
Chahat looked around for water, but in her haste to get food, she hadn't brought water with her.
Just then, Tapish held a glass of water to Chahat's lips. Tapish knew that Chahat had only taken the food, not the water, so he had brought water with him.
Chahat looked at Tapish as she ate. Tapish said, "Drink the water first, the food will get stuck. And as for the staring, you can do that even after you finish eating."
Suddenly, Chahat's coughing intensified. Tapish quickly put the glass of water to Chahat's lips, and Chahat slowly began to drink.
Tapish placed the glass of water back on the table and stood up. Looking at Chahat, he said, "I know you have many questions in your mind, and you will get answers to all of them. But for that, you first need to calm your mind. And for that, you have the entire night. Along with this room, there is also an attached room. After you eat, you can go and rest there."
Saying this, Tapish went to the dressing table and opened the door there, revealing the attached room. Chahat was surprised to see this. An attached room! It was a hidden room. She hadn't realized until now that it wasn't a design but a door.
Tapish returned, stood in front of Chahat, and said, "As much time as you need, I need that too."
