They were both sitting on the sofa in a state of intoxication. Amber's condition had worsened considerably.
"My body is starting to burn... I'm feeling very hot," Amber said, beginning to take off her blazer.
"I'm going to the bathroom to take a shower," she said, getting up with unsteady steps. Walking was difficult, yet she somehow managed to reach the bathroom.
Now Vedant also started feeling a strange restlessness. His body was also burning up. He too threw off his blazer.
"So Ravi had planned all this for Amber..." Vedant mumbled, "He wanted to drug her and force himself on her."
"We both drank half of that juice each. The effect is a bit less, but it's there."
His head was spinning, but he followed Amber towards the bathroom. Stumbling, he reached the door and went inside.
Amber was standing under the shower. Her clothes were completely soaked.
"What are you doing here?" Amber asked, startled.
"Did the water stop your body from burning?" Vedant asked.
"No..." Amber said softly. One of her hands was resting on the wall so she wouldn't fall.
"It won't go away like this," Vedant said. "There was something mixed in the juice Ravi Khanna ordered... that's its effect."
"So what do we do now?" Amber's voice trembled.

Next Scene
"Rahul, call Miss Saxena. Why hasn't she arrived yet?" Vedant Sehgal said angrily. "The meeting is about to start and the entire presentation is on her laptop!"
Just then, a beautiful girl opened the door and rushed in.
"Sorry sir, there was a lot of traffic... that's why I was late."
"Hurry to the meeting hall!" Vedant said and quickly moved ahead. Rahul and Amber followed him.
Vedant Sehgal, CEO of SS Group, dashing, handsome, and a declared playboy. Yes, it was another matter that he never got involved with any girl in his office.
Many models, actresses, and high-society girls were infatuated with him, and he too showed generosity with both his heart and his money. But the office... for him, it was a discipline zone.
The entire office was afraid of him. Talk of his anger and strictness was everywhere.
Rahul Bhatia and Amber Saxena—two people who were Vedant's most trusted associates. Rahul, his senior assistant, and Amber, his junior assistant.
When Vedant joined the office, Rahul was hired as his assistant. Some time later, when Vedant's father retired after an accident, he felt the need for another assistant.
Amber was the daughter of his dad's old assistant. She was interviewed just once, and Vedant hired her—quite reluctantly. He felt that a girl wouldn't be able to handle his work.
But in three years, Amber had proved Vedant wrong with her capabilities.
She didn't just handle office work but also Vedant's social life—even details related to his girlfriends, birthday gifts, and hotel bookings—everything.
In these three years, Vedant had never seen Amber as a woman. Perhaps that was why Amber had always been comfortable.
But now… everything was about to change.
Vedant Sehgal
The SS Group was started by Vedant Sehgal's grandfather, and his father, Brijesh Sehgal, took it to new heights. Brijesh Sehgal had three children—two sons and one daughter.
The elder son, Rajan Sehgal, was a renowned doctor. He owned a large hospital that was famous nationwide. He had no interest in business.
The daughter, Binu Sehgal, was younger than Vedant. She had a slight interest in business. She had just completed her studies and wanted to work in the office for some time before getting married. When she told Vedant that she wanted to join the office, Vedant agreed. However, a month passed, and she still hadn't started coming to the office.
Brijesh Sehgal's younger son was Vedant—the college topper, but short-tempered, arrogant, and a declared playboy. None of his relationships lasted long because he never cared about anyone. He always did as he pleased.
He had a deep interest in business. After completing his MBA, when he joined the office, his father had a serious accident. Since then, Vedant took on all responsibilities.
His family also included his mother and grandmother. Both were very loving women. But the real head of the household was his grandmother, whose word was final—neither Vedant, nor his father could defy her.
Vedant's mother was a very simple and gentle woman. She cared about everyone in the family and easily agreed with anyone.
But the grandmother—like Vedant, she was arrogant, temperamental, and someone who thought no one else mattered. She generally didn't interfere in anyone's affairs, but when she spoke, her word was the final decision.

Amber Saxena
Amber was the only and dearly loved daughter of her parents. She was extremely beautiful—fair complexion like milk, large, light green eyes, pink lips, a delicate nose, and a sweet voice. She was as intelligent as she was beautiful.
Her father, Arun Saxena, was a man with modern thinking. He had given Amber complete freedom—to travel abroad, work late, have a boyfriend or not—he never questioned her.
Her mother, Anita Saxena, on the other hand, was traditional. She had instilled good values in Amber and always explained the difference between right and wrong.
Amber never misused the freedom given by her father. She never had a boyfriend. She always prioritized her professionalism.
In the three years she worked with Vedant, her parents never pressured her about anything. But now her mother wanted Amber to consider marriage and leave her job. Her father still said, "When she finds someone, she will tell us herself. Our daughter is capable of living her life as she wishes."
---
The distance between Vedant and Amber...
Despite being so beautiful, why did Vedant never look at Amber "that way"?
Because Amber was so professional in her work that she never gave Vedant any reason to look at her. She always came to the office in formal attire, wearing trousers and a blazer. Just a light lipstick, hair tied up, and flat shoes. Never any extra adornment, never an extra smile.
Vedant found her "boring" compared to other girls. He never felt there was anything worth falling for in Amber.
And Amber also never showed any interest in Vedant.
But... do you really think that what hasn't happened in the last three years...
Will never happen? 😉
---
Amber sat with her head in her hands, furious with both her dad and mom.
"I'm not a little child anymore who someone will eat. On one hand, Dad, you tell me you've given me all sorts of freedom, so what is this?" she glared at her dad, her anger evident.
"Beta, I'm not against anything. If you have a boyfriend, tell us. If you want to be with him, you can. We have no problem."
"Have you lost your mind? What are you talking about with your grown daughter? If she has a boyfriend, tell us. We'll get her married. We won't let her live with anyone without marriage. I'm still alive!" his mom, Anita, was enraged.
"I don't have a boyfriend, nor do I plan to go live with anyone. I want to stay right here, in this house."
"But three months is a long time, beta. Living alone in this place for three months will be very difficult. If there were a flat in the building, it would be a different matter. It's not right to live alone in such a big house," her dad said.
"Is that why you've arranged for me to stay at my boss's house? You could have done it somewhere else. I could have rented a flat for three months."
"No, we're not leaving you at your boss's. I'm leaving you at my friend Brijesh's house," Arun said. "He himself said that Amber will stay with us."
"And you get along so well with Varsha aunty. I'm leaving you with her," his mom added, echoing her dad. "And what's the problem? If you have to stay at the house of the boss you work with in the office, what's the big deal?" her dad said.
"In the office, I have to tolerate the boss. If a person can't be comfortable even after coming home, what's the point?" Amber was unwilling to concede.
"Will he make you do office work when you come home?" Her parents were not ready to back down. She sat with her head in her hands because she absolutely did not want to stay at Vedant Sehgal's house. She knew that as long as he was around, she wouldn't be able to feel comfortable.
Meanwhile, at Vedant's house, his grandmother objected to Amber coming to their home.
"So now will girls from his office also come to this house?" his grandmother, Lakshmi Devi, said.
"She doesn't just work in his office. She is also Arun's daughter, and Arun is my friend. Now that they both, husband and wife, are going out of the country for three months, I myself said that Amber can stay with us. Anyway, she works in our office, so I don't think there should be any problem," Vedant's father, Brijesh Sehgal, said.
"Look, I'll say one thing clearly. The girls who hover around Vedant, I never like them. And these girls have only one aim: to trap my innocent grandson and come into this house after getting married."
"She's not like that, Mother," Vedant's mother, Varsha, began.
"You leave it. Where is the sense in you? You yourself want to bring her as a daughter-in-law. I heard all of you, you and Brijesh. That's why I don't like her. Otherwise, I've always liked Arun and Anita," Lakshmi Devi said.
Brijesh started to speak at her words. Varsha gestured to him, stopping him.
"When it's time to find a daughter-in-law, you find one of your son's own choosing. She's just coming to stay for three months, and please don't say anything inappropriate to her," Brijesh said to his mother.
"I know today's girls well. I'm not saying Arun and Anita are bad. I know them; they are very good people. But we can't trust children these days."
"I'll just say one thing: if I see her hovering around my child, there will be no one worse than me."
"She's with him in the office too."
"The office is different. At home, let's see how she behaves." Brijesh managed to convince his mother with great difficulty.
This mansion had four bedrooms downstairs and four bedrooms upstairs. And on the very top floor, on the terrace, there was a balcony built together that was open from all sides, where they also used to have parties.
Of the four bedrooms downstairs, one was the grandmother's bedroom, and renovation work was about to start in it. So, that room was not livable. Of the remaining three rooms, one room was Brijesh and Varsha's bedroom. Grandmother shifted into one room, and the bedroom she had with her had a shared bathroom with Grandmother's room, so those two rooms were attached.
Of the four bedrooms upstairs, one was for Dr. Rajan and his wife. They also had a young daughter who lived with them. One bedroom belonged to Binu. Amber could have stayed with her, but Amber had too much work; therefore, it was difficult for anyone to share a room with her. One room was Vedanta’s, which was the most beautiful room in the mansion, and it also had a small bedroom attached. There was a thought of giving the room next to his to Amber.
Amber was about to shift into his house. Vedanta was unaware of this. Amber's parents had come to drop her off. She couldn't stand to see her grandmother at all. She always had this fear that someone might try to charm her grandson. Brijesh had married by his own choice. Varsha was very beautiful. The grandmother had found a girl of her choice for Rajan as well, and she was going to do the same for Vedanta.
"Don't worry at all."
Varsha said to Anita and Arun. "She will feel completely at home with us." They had already left. They had to go straight to the airport from there. As soon as they left, Varsha showed Amber the room with Vedanta.
"Beta, this is your room."
"But yes, today, both of us friends will stay together."
Binu, who had just come home and found out about Amber's arrival, said as she followed them.
"That's right, Auntie, today I will stay with Binu."
The two friends had met after a long time. Amber was very busy, so she didn't have much time to meet Binu. The two friends talked for a long time. Vedanta was still unaware that Amber had shifted into his house.
The next day was Sunday. It was a holiday from the office. Due to sleeping late, neither Amber nor Binu had woken up. Binu, who often went to the gym with Vedanta, thought she should wake Binu up when Vedanta started going for exercise. As soon as she touched the room door, it opened because it was already unlocked.
She looked ahead and saw Binu sleeping on the bed, covered with a blanket.
"Kumbhakarna!" he said, going towards her.
"Let's exercise." But Binu didn't get up. Now Vedanta had a mischievous thought.
He pulled the blanket off her. Amber's eyes opened due to Vedanta's action. She sat up quickly in a panic. She didn't understand what had happened.
"Miss Saxena! You are here?" Vedanta said, looking at her in surprise.
Amber, who was still sleepy, didn't understand what had happened.
"Sir, what are you doing here?"
"This is my house. You tell me, Miss Saxena, what are you doing here?"
"Brother, I'll tell you," Binu said, coming out of the bathroom.
"Auntie and Uncle are out, so Amber will stay with us until they return."
"Okay, I had come to wake you up for exercise."
He was about to leave.
"Let's both come, we will also exercise," Binu said. Vedanta went out.
"Let's go for exercise too," Binu said to Amber.
"You go, I don't want to," Amber said.
"Why won't you come?"
"I do yoga anyway, I don't go to the gym, and seriously, I would never do it in front of him."
Amber had also gotten up.
"Come now," Binu said to her again.
"I'm coming downstairs, but I'd prefer to drink tea downstairs. I don't want to exercise."
They both came downstairs. Binu went to the gym, while Amber went and sat with Varsha in the hall.
When Binu reached for her workout, Vedanta was already exercising there.
"No one told me that Miss Saxena would be here," Vedanta asked Binu.
"How would I know? I thought Amber would have told you at the office, and why do you call her Miss Saxena? Her name, Amber, is so beautiful."
"Okay," Vedanta said.
"Brother, I have one wish that you have to fulfill. I wanted to tell you for a long time."
"Tell me, my princess, what do you want to say? What do you need?" Vedanta said while exercising.
"Make Amber my sister-in-law and keep her here forever."
Vedanta stopped his exercise while exercising.
He thought he heard wrong.
"What did you say? Say it again."
"That make Amber my sister-in-law. She should stay here forever." At her words, Vedanta started laughing loudly.
"Firstly, I don't want to get married at all. Secondly, do you really think I would marry that boring Miss Saxena?"
"Boring and her...? Brother, what's wrong with you? You don't even recognize girls," Binu said.
Amber, sitting with Varsha in the hall, started talking after drinking tea. After a while, she returned to her room. She had to bathe and change. Just then, Binu and Vedanta also came upstairs.
"Brother, I'll ask her too what she thinks about you," Binu said.
"Who would reject me? Vedanta Sehgal is not an ordinary man. Girls dream about me," he said.
"Then stay here, brother."
Binu asked Vedanta to wait outside the room, and she herself went inside the room. By then, Amber had bathed and changed.
"Did you come back from exercise?" Amber said, looking at her.
"Please comment on my series, like it, remember to follow me and give stickers."
"Someone will reject me a little. Vedant Sehgal is not an ordinary man. Girls dream about me," he said.
"Then stay here, brother."
Binu asked Vedant to wait outside the room, and she went inside herself. By then, Amber had bathed and changed.
"Are you back from exercising?" Amber asked, seeing her.
"You know Amber, an idea came to my mind. I was thinking about something," Binu said, sitting on the sofa there.
"Since when have you started thinking? Don't overthink. This mind of yours, don't put so much burden on it," Amber started laughing at her.
"So, are you making fun of me?" Binu asked with mock anger.
"Not at all. I am just worried about your mind. It will get spoiled by thinking," she said, laughing.
At Amber's words, Vedant, who was standing outside, also had a smile on his face. Because it was true about Binu; she was extremely lazy and absolutely disliked thinking.
"Come on, if you've thought about it, tell me," Amber said to her again.
"You know how good friends we both are, right?"
"Oh, so you thought of this? Thank you so much for telling me."
"Listen to me fully first."
"Okay, speak," Amber said with a smile.
"I have a wish that you should stay here forever. You should never leave this house."
"Why? Why should I stay here, leaving my mom and dad? They have gone for three months, they will come back. If you want, you can come there to live with me."
"If you had a brother, I would have come," Binu said mischievously.
"I am not talking about that. There are other ways to stay here forever."
"Okay." Amber did not understand her at all.
"Look, I have such a handsome brother, and you are so beautiful! You both get married and come to this house forever." Amber looked at Binu.
"I think your mind is gone. That's why you've started overthinking," Amber said, completely ignoring her statement.
"No, I am thinking. Now you are of marriageable age, and so is my brother, so what's the problem? You both know each other too."
"The problem is exactly that I know a lot about him, and that's why I have no interest in marrying him."
She rejected him. Vedant, who was standing outside, got angry. It wasn't that he was interested in Amber, but being rejected so abruptly felt very bad.
"I can know the reason for these things. Why don't you like my brother? What kind of boy do you want for marriage?"
"Exactly. What kind of boy do I want? I don't know. But whoever I marry, I want to spend my whole life with him. Our relationship will not be for one lifetime, but for lifetimes. He should be with me for seven lives. I want to marry such a man, and your brother, whoever he marries, won't even last seven days before getting a divorce. If your brother doesn't ask, the girl he marries will ask. His relationships don't last more than seven hours. The first thing necessary for marriage is loyalty, which doesn't even come close to your brother."
"She is badmouthing me while being my assistant. What does she think of herself? She works for me, I pay her," Vedant was thinking as he listened to both of them.
"Then why are you working? You've been working for him for three years," Binu said.
"Marriage and job are two very different things. He is a very good businessman. He has managed the entire business very well. He is a very good boss, I respect him a lot, and he respects me, not like he treats other girls. He has never done that to me."
"So, you mean to say that your brother is rejected for marriage."
"Absolutely. This topic will not be discussed again."
"Who is dying to marry him anyway? I can never marry boring Miss Saxena. She rejected me in front of Binu because she knows that I will reject her anyway. Very smart, boring Miss Saxena," Vedant went into the room thinking about her.
After a while, he bathed and changed. He didn't have to go to the office today. He wore a black t-shirt with blue denim and came down a little while later. He tried to listen to their conversation as he passed by Binu's room, but there was no sound coming from there, so he also started going downstairs. They were both already having breakfast there, and their laughter could be heard from upstairs.
Who was dying to get married to her? He could never marry boring Miss Saxena. She had rejected him in front of Binu because she knew he would reject her. Very smart, boring Miss Saxena! Vedant thought about it as he entered the room.
After a while, he took a bath and changed clothes. He didn't have to go to the office today. He wore black colored T-shirt with blue denim and came down after a while. He passed by Binu's room and tried to listen to their conversation, but there was no sound coming from there, so he also went down. Both of them were having breakfast, and the sound of their laughter was coming upstairs.
Among all of them, Amber's voice was the loudest. This girl seemed so different at home! In the office, I had never heard her voice except for work.
As soon as Vedant reached downstairs, Amber's voice stopped. Maybe she had seen him coming. She started eating silently.
"Are you going somewhere today?" Vasudha asked seeing Vedant ready.
"Yes, I have work. When will Bhaiya and Bhabi come? I don't feel like it without that little Pihu." Vedant asked about his elder brother and Bhabi.
"They will probably come on Sunday night."
"Didn't Grandma come with Mom for breakfast?" Vedant looked around; he couldn't see his grandmother.
"She'll come any minute now." his mom said.
"Brother, are you going out? Will you leave us alone? We have to go to the market." Binu said to Vedant.
"Look, you people have to go shopping, but I have work."
"Brother, why are you saying this? Please drop us, okay."
"You take your car. We won't take the car; we'll take a taxi on the way."
"Okay, I'll drop you." Vedant said.
"No, it's okay; we'll go by taxi." Amber said.
They all started having breakfast. Suddenly, someone's voice came from behind.
"Aunt, put a plate for me too." Vedant's uncle's son Ajeet had come. Ajeet lived with his family in their neighbor.
"Brother, how are you so early in the morning?" Binu asked him.
"I came to give Vedant a file." He also sat down for breakfast with them.
"Oh, Amber ji, how are you here?" He said seeing Amber.
"Amber will stay with us for some days. Her parents are out of town." Vasudha informed. Ajeet knew that Amber's father and Brijesh were old friends.
"And where is uncle?"
"He is in his room; he's taking a bath, he'll come any minute now." Vasudha informed.
After sitting for a while, Ajeet stood up to leave.
"I'm going; I have to go to the market. I came in my own car; I have some work."
"If you don't mind, can you drop us at the market?" Amber said.
"Of course, let's go! What problem could I have? My car is parked outside." Ajeet said smiling.
"Let's go then." Amber started saying to Binu. Amber got up and went upstairs quickly. Vedant was watching Amber going upstairs from behind. Amber, who always wore a suit in the office, was wearing a crop top with jeans today. From behind, she looked different than usual.
She came back with her bag after a while. Both the girls left with Ajeet.
Vedant was quite surprised by Amber's actions. "I told her we would go by taxi; she herself asked Ajeet to drop her." Vedant was not interested in taking the girls with him, but Amber's giving importance to Ajeet over him made him angry.
"I'm going." Vedant also started going outside leaving the breakfast. Ajeet's car was parked outside. By the time he got the car and went outside, all three had left.
Earlier, she rejected him like this for marriage, and now she refused to go with him, which made Vedant very bad. He didn't want to think about Amber, but he was.
Vedant had some work to do. He finished the work and came back home quickly. He was sitting on the balcony of his room doing some office work. He saw Binu and Amber coming into the house; both of them had shopping bags in their hands.
The grandmother and Vasudha were sitting on the balcony. They came and sat down. Vasudha got water and tea for them. They all started talking.
"I have to set up the room too. We spent the whole day in the market."
"No problem, beta, you girls do it quickly together." Vasudha said. Grandmother didn't like Amber at all. "I'm going inside." The grandmother said; she went inside.
They all were talking.
"Mom, look, Amber has come to our house now! Now she'll always stay here and never leave."
"But her parents won't let her stay here like that. Arun bhai saab loves her so much."
"And if there's a way that she leaves on her own; like Riya Bhabi stays where my Bhabi stays." Binu said smiling.
Amber understood what she was going to say. "Please Binu, don't start again! Use your brains a bit."
"I'm ready for that if Vedant and Amber agree." Vasudha understood her. She said smiling.
Until now, Vedant was not interested in their conversation, but now he also started listening.
"Aunt, now you have also started!"
"We both, your uncle and I, and your parents have been wanting you to come here forever; to be my Vedant's forever."
Vedant was quite surprised at what his mom was saying.
"See aunt, there's nothing like that, and it can't be. Forget this thing, and never say it again. Otherwise, I'll go back where I came from." Amber said directly.
"Means I'm being rejected like this?" Vedant got angry. Probably no one had rejected him like this.
Vedant was astonished by what his mother was saying.
"Look, auntie, it's nothing like that. And it can't be. You'll forget about this. And never do it again. Otherwise, I'll leave from wherever I am," Amber said directly.
"You mean I'm being rejected like this?" Vedant was angry. It was unlikely anyone had ever rejected him like this.
"It's alright, Mom. Her room is with brother. You'll see, these two will fall in love."
"We've been together in the office for three years. Understand?" Amber said.
"There's a big difference between being in the office and living in a house. How do you go to the office? Like a boring person. Always the same trousers, blazer, and white shirt, tied hair, and no makeup. But when brother sees you in your balcony morning and evening, he'll see a different Amber. He'll hear your sweet voice. Now don't say he hears your voice in the office too. There's a difference between speaking in the office and speaking in your own room."
"So you'll see, brother will be crazy about you, and you don't know him that well either. You'll get to know him too. So you'll fall in love with him too," Binu was talking non-stop.
Varsha was smiling at her words.
"Leave it, I know your brother better than anyone else, so forget about love," Amber told her and went inside.
This girl rejects me on every matter. Vedant was listening to their conversation. He was extremely angry with Amber. How his mother and his younger sister were pleading with her, and she was saying no to everything. I shouldn't have said it to her either.
After Amber went inside, Binu put her arms around her mom's neck.
"Mom, do you really want brother and Amber to get married?"
"Of course! Arun and Anita also like Vedant, and we like Amber now. The wedding will happen if these two agree," she said, laughing.
"I'll have to come up with some scheme," Binu started thinking. Vedant was amused by Binu's childishness. He knew Binu and Amber were friends, but he didn't know their friendship was so deep.
Binu pestered Varsha for a long time. She suggested so many plans to her mom that her mom threw her hands up in exasperation.
"Binu, after this, do whatever you want, but spare me," Varsha got up.
Binu was still sitting alone, thinking about how to make her brother and Amber fall for each other. She was unaware that Vedant, working on the balcony upstairs, was listening to their entire conversation.
To be honest, he was working less and laughing more at Binu's childish antics.
"I should go inside too. I'll help Amber with the luggage," Binu quickly went upstairs. She went into the room next to Vedant's, but the room was empty.
"I think she'll be in my room now." Binu went from there to her room, but Amber wasn't there, nor was her luggage. Binu went out onto her room's balcony, thinking.
Just then, Amber appeared below her, and at that very moment, she went back inside.
"What is she doing in Grandma's room?" Because the place she went back to was her grandmother Lakshmi Devi's room.
Binu went back downstairs. She saw that the room next to Grandma's was open. Binu walked over to it. Amber had already put her luggage in that room.
"What's this? You've shifted here?" Binu said.
"Yes, Grandma told me this room was also empty, so I came here," Amber said with a smile.
"You know, you'll have to share the washroom here."
"So what?" Amber said.
"And living with Grandma is very difficult. These two rooms are attached in the middle. See, there's this door in between."
"I have no problem," Amber said.
"Why did you leave the room upstairs and come here?"
"I'll talk to you later. I need to arrange the room a bit. Help me."
"You left that room? I'm not helping you," Binu said, stomping her feet, and left from there.
Amber was almost done. After putting away her luggage, she picked up her laptop and sat in the seating area outside the room. A little later, Binu also came back to her.
"It's good you came, I have to thank you," Amber said.
Vedant's room was to the side, so he could see the seating area in front of the rooms below, and hear their voices upstairs.
"You were the one who told me I would have to share a balcony with Vedant and our rooms would be right next to each other, so I used my brains. I asked Grandma if there was any room downstairs, and she told me about this one. That's why I shifted here."
"You mean you rejected the room next to mine too? What does she think of herself? Girls are desperate to pass by me!" He angrily picked up his laptop and went inside.
The sound of them laughing could be heard upstairs.
"These girls have gone mad! Who laughs so loudly? It's good she's gone from my balcony."
So, my roommate also rejected me. What does she think she is? Girls crave to pass by me. He angrily picked up his laptop and went inside.
The sound of their laughter could be heard till upstairs. These girls have really gone crazy. Who laughs so loudly? Good that they left my balcony.
He could see both the girls. Amber had changed into lowers and a T-shirt. Her hair was open, and she was sitting without any makeup. Her laptop was on the table in front of her. She was sitting carelessly, running her laptop and also talking to Binu.
The next day was Monday, a working day. So, their office routine had started. Amber used to leave for Vedant's office before him; she never met him for breakfast, and Vedant used to come late at night. Because after office, he often went to the club, sometimes with friends and sometimes with some girlfriend. He always came home late and had dinner.
Till Saturday, they both didn't meet at home. They only met at the office and, like always, were engrossed in their work. Grandma didn't like Amber. Amber had also understood that her grandmother didn't like her. Both grandmother and Amber used to wake up early.
The grandmother used to take a bath and do her prayers. Amber used to do her yoga after waking up. Then Amber would take a bath and make a cup of tea for herself; and Amber used to bring tea for them along with hers. But she never sat with them and had tea.
At night also, after having dinner, Amber used to sit for her work, and the grandmother used to watch her serials. Amber never interfered in grandmother's work. And although the grandmother wanted to, she couldn't say anything bad about Amber yet.
In such a way, Saturday had arrived. Rajan Bhai and Riya Bhabi had returned with their little daughter Pihu. They had gone for a vacation for a week, and with Pihu's arrival, the house was filled with the sound of laughter.
"You people were to come on Sunday, tomorrow," Brijesh asked Rajan.
"Absolutely, we were to come tomorrow. But I have an important operation tomorrow, so I had to come today," he replied.
"We didn't feel like doing anything without you people," Varsha said.
"Not without Pihu," Binu also said.
They were having dinner when Vedant came from outside.
"So, this is a surprise! You people have arrived. You were to come tomorrow," Vedant said while touching his Bhabi's feet and then hugged Rajan.
"Brother, how are you? We missed you so much. And where is our princess?" He asked while looking around for Pihu.
"She is with Radha," Radha, who was Pihu's nanny, replied.
"You also have dinner with us. You never have dinner at night," Varsha said.
"I'm also very hungry," Vedant sat with them.
Vedant saw that Amber wasn't at the dining table. Then Amber came downstairs with Pihu in her lap. Radhika was with her. Vedant stood up and went to her.
He started to take Pihu from Amber's lap.
"Not now, let me play with her for some time. I brought her," Amber said.
"Why are you both fighting?" Binu stood up and came to them. "You both get married, then you both will have such cute children," Binu said.
Vedant and Amber looked at each other. Everyone sitting at the table started laughing. Grandma didn't like Binu's statement at all.
"I will find a princess for my grandson. I know what kind of girl I need for my grandson and son. That girl working in your office will not do. I don't want that," Grandma said. And on hearing this, everyone who was laughing stopped instantly! Because the grandmother had humiliated Amber in public.
Just then, Vedant's phone beeped! He answered the phone and started going outside. And Amber was not one to stay quiet!
"You said it right, Grandma! You find such a girl for your son and grandson who doesn't know them. Those people who know him will never marry him. It's better that he commits suicide," Amber said to her grandmother. Vedant, whose call got disconnected and who hadn't gone outside, heard this.
"What does she think she is? Boring Miss Saxena! My humiliation! Boring Miss Saxena, you say you have no interest in me, but I see how you won't have interest in me! If I don't force you to say that you want to marry me, you will die without me! My name is not Vedant Sahgal! I see how long your attitude lasts! Get ready! You're telling my mom and sister that if they talk about me, you'll leave the house! If you haven't begged both of them that you have to marry Vedant, then watch, you have a big attitude! But no one's attitude works on Vedant Sahgal, not even yours!"
It's a fact that a person is always inclined towards the one who rejects him, and maybe Vedant was also inclining towards Amber.
However, it was his hobby to play with girls. And now it might be Amber's turn. Unaware of what Vedant was thinking about her, Amber was playing with Pihu.
What is Vedant going to do now? Will Vedant really fall in love with Amber? Will he play with her body and leave her?
It's true that a person is always inclined towards the one who rejects them, and perhaps Vedant was inclined towards Amber. He indeed had a penchant for playing with girls, and now it seemed Amber's turn had come. Unaware of what Vedant was thinking about her, Amber was playing with Pihu.
Now, Pihu was about to come into Chacha's lap. He began to take Pihu from Amber. Amber placed Pihu into Vedant's lap. While holding Pihu, Vedant also touched Amber's hand, but she didn't notice.
At night, after dinner, Vedant stood on the balcony looking down at Amber strolling in the lawn. Vedant watched her and made plans in his mind, which Amber couldn't even think of. For three years, Vedant had never paid attention to Amber; today, because of her words, he was about to trap her in his love web.
"Watch, Miss Amber Saxena, what I do."
Amber strolled in the lawn, talking to her mom and dad, oblivious to Vedant watching her from the balcony. After talking to them, she went inside and slept.
The next morning, Amber went to the kitchen to make tea after yoga. Vedant arrived at the kitchen at the same time.
"Make a protein shake for me, Amber." Vedant said, having just come from the gym.
"Yes, sir. I'll make it." Amber replied.
"You can call me by my name at home."
Amber smiled slightly at his words.
As she handed Vedant the protein shake, she began to go to her room.
"Let's have tea here." He told her.
"I need to give tea to Dadaji as well." She went to her room. After giving tea to Dadaji, she came to her room. She had no intention of having tea with Vedant.
"Am I ignoring you?" Vedant thought about Amber and went back to his room.
As Amber was about to take her car out, she noticed that her tires had no air. She was about to ask someone to change the tire when Vedant arrived.
"Come on, Amber. We have to go to the same place, so you can ride with me."
"No, sir. It's okay. I'll come." Amber wanted to avoid Vedant.
"Look, there's a meeting today. Don't be late."
Despite her reluctance, Amber got into the car with Vedant.
As soon as she got into the car, Amber began to give Vedant updates.
"Today is Ruby Khanna's birthday, so gifts and flowers will reach her house."
Ruby was a model in the company and also had a relationship with Vedant.
"No need to send anything to anyone." Vedant told her.
"Okay, sir." Amber said without asking any questions.
Vedant waited for Amber to ask him, but when she didn't ask any questions, Vedant himself said,
"I want to settle down in life. It's enough to run behind girls. There's one girl who lives in my heart; I never thought I could tell her. I'm thinking of marrying her and settling down."
"Okay, sir. Should I send flowers to anyone else? Just let me know." Amber pulled out her diary and pen to note.
"No need; I'll let you know when the time comes."
Amber arrived at the office with Vedant, perhaps for the first time. Amber was also surprised at Vedant. Today, he was calling her by her name instead of Miss Saxena. Amber found Vedant quite changed.
Amber had a lot of work to do at the office, so she got busy. Around noon, Amber brought coffee to Vedant's cabin.
"Sir, your coffee." After placing the coffee, she was about to leave.
"Amber, sometimes get coffee for yourself and have it with me."
"Sir, I have work." Amber said.
Vedant ordered coffee for Amber through the intercom. As she looked at the coffee, Rahul came there.
"Sir, should I get coffee for Rahul too?" Amber asked.
"No, I just had some. I don't need it."
"Okay." Vedant told him. "I brought the tender file."
"Okay, give me the file and work on another one." Vedant pushed Rahul away from there. "Tell me the details after seeing the file."
After drinking coffee, Amber began to explain the file details. Today, Vedant kept Amber close to him on various pretexts. Amber indeed found it strange.
As the office hours ended, Amber said to herself, "Thank God, I'm free from that man."
As she stopped a taxi, Vedant stopped his car in front of hers.
"Come on, Amber."
"Sir, you go. I have work in the market. I'll go home after work." Amber wanted to avoid Vedant.
"Tell me what work you have, and we'll go." Despite her reluctance, Amber got into the car with him.
"Look, your parents have given your responsibility to all of us, so how can you ride a taxi?" Vedant said, stopping the car.
Sir, you go, I have some work in the market. I will go home after work. Amber wanted to avoid Vedanta.
"Tell me, what is the work? We'll go." Amber sat with him unwillingly.
"Look, your mom and dad have given your responsibility to all of us, so how can you roam around in a taxi like this?" Vedanta parked the car in front of the mall.
Amber didn't want to do any shopping. She had just made an excuse. She had always maintained distance from Vedanta since she joined the office. She only concerned herself with her work in the entire office. She had been staying at Vedanta's house for a week and had kept her distance from him. She hadn't even taken the room closest to him.
Unwillingly, Amber had to get out of the car and go towards the mall. Vedanta also got out with her.
"Sir, you do this, you go. I'll come on my own. It might take me a little while," she made another excuse.
"I am also free. What do I have to do? I am also thinking of shopping today. Will you help me?" Vedanta said, walking with her.
"Come, let's shop for you first," Vedanta said, looking towards the ladies' department of the mall.
Vedanta started walking towards the ladies' western wear, but he saw that Amber had gone in another direction. Indian dresses were displayed there. Vedanta quickly followed her. Amber started looking at a suit there. It was a cream-colored Anarkali, with a beautiful cream and red combination dupatta. She liked that dress.
She took it to the counter. Before Amber could, Vedanta pulled out his card and handed it to the salesman. The salesman, who was about to swipe Vedanta's card, grabbed his hand.
"Sir, you are with me, that's another matter, but I don't do any shopping with anyone's money," Amber said to Vedanta. At the same time, Amber scanned and paid from her phone.
"I need to buy a gift for someone. Will you help me?" Vedanta asked Amber. He took her to the western wear section. There he looked at many dresses.
"Which dress would be best among these?" Vedanta asked.
"What is the choice of the person you are buying the gift for? The gift should be chosen accordingly."
"Her choice is different from this, but I want to dress her in clothes of my choice."
There was a beautiful red gown. "This will look good on her."
"Please Amber, try it on, I'll get an idea," Vedanta handed the dress to Amber. Amber kept looking at the dress and then at Vedanta. She was trapped. Holding the dress, she went towards the changing room. Vedanta stood outside waiting for her. After a short while, Amber opened the door of the trial room and came out.
"Why didn't you wear that dress?" Vedanta asked her. "I can't wear this. It's too deep in the front and back. I don't wear such clothes. Please pack it as it is. Such clothes look good on models and actresses, who are your friends," Amber said with a smile.
"Then which dress should I take?" Vedanta asked again.
"This dress is very beautiful, and your friend wears such clothes. It will look very good on her. Take this one."
"No problem, if not today, then tomorrow. I will make you wear this dress," Vedanta bought the dress.
"I think we should eat out today. It's getting quite late," Vedanta said, looking towards the mall's restaurant.
"Sir, you eat comfortably. Your friend must be coming. I have some work, I'm leaving." She started to go.
"Listen to me. No friend of mine is coming. I am interested in eating with you only."
"You eat comfortably," Amber said, starting to go downstairs. Before Vedanta could follow her, a girl came to Vedanta.
"Surprise Vedanta! You here, I didn't know. Come, let's sit and have coffee." Vedanta unwillingly went to have coffee with her.
Later that night, Amber was checking her phone and thinking about Vedanta. "He's showing a lot more interest in me these days. It's also possible that I'm mistaken. Now that I live in this house, that's why there's a difference in his behavior." Amber tried to ignore Vedanta's changed behavior.
But her sixth sense told her no, there was something else.
Just then, a voice was heard from Grandma's room. Amber thought it was Vedanta, this late at night, because he rarely came this late.
"Are your neighbors asleep, Grandma?" The voice reached Amber's ears, as they were talking about her.
"She was awake a little while ago. Why are you asking about her? I needed a file, that's why I was asking."
"Then pick her up," Grandma said. As soon as Vedanta got up and touched the door, it opened because it wasn't locked. Amber was deliberately pretending to sleep.
It didn't take Vedanta long to realize she was acting. He deliberately went to her, adjusted her blanket, covered her with it, then gently stroked her hair, and came out of the room, switching off the light.
Now Grandma was feeling a bit strange. Her attention was drawn to this. After all, she was Vedanta's grandmother, and she understood quickly.

Vedant didn't take long to realize she was acting. He deliberately went to her. He adjusted her blanket and covered her with it. Then he lightly stroked her hair and left the room, turning off the light.
Now Grandma was feeling a little strange. Her attention was drawn to this. After all, she was Vedant's grandmother; she understood quickly.
She was awake. Grandma asked her,
"Were you sleeping?"
"No, Grandma."
"She was asleep. Look, the unnecessary light was on. She's sleeping, but we have to pay the bill."
"I see that," Grandma told her.
"Grandma, I have work, I'm leaving." He went to his room.
Meanwhile, Amber, bewildered and confused, had sat up.
"He covered me with a blanket and even touched my hair. Why did he do that? He understood I was awake. He did it deliberately. He's trying to flirt with me. What's gotten into Vedant Sir?"
They had been together for the past three years. She had gone abroad with him and out of town. But he had never done anything like this.
"Amber, you need to stay away from that person. You can't trust them." She said to herself and went back to sleep.
The next morning, after the gym, she had to drink a protein shake. She looked in the kitchen, and a servant was up.
"Listen, where is Amber Madam?" Vedant asked her.
"I haven't seen her. She must be sleeping."
Vedant came into Grandma's room. He peeked through the slightly ajar door; Grandma had woken up and finished her prayers. He went into her room.
"Did you have tea, Grandma?"
"Where? Now that girl brings tea every day, but look, she hasn't woken up today. Every morning she wakes up, does yoga, and then brings my tea along with hers. But why are you here?"
"That's what I'm saying, Grandma, along with your tea, she also makes my protein shake."
"This girl is spoiling everyone's habits. She hasn't woken up today, could she be sick?" Grandma said.
"Let's go see." He started to open the connecting door to her room, but it was locked.
"She never locked her room. Why did she lock it today? It was open when she slept last night. It means she woke up and locked it."
"Forget it. The household help has woken up. We both need to have tea." They both came out of the room into the lobby.
Vedant was still looking back.
"Okay Grandma, you have your tea wherever you want to sit." He went upstairs with his protein shake.
Everyone was having breakfast. Vedant hadn't come down yet. Amber was quickly eating her sandwich.
"Girl, what's wrong with you?" Grandma said.
"Grandma, I have a very important appointment. I have to go." She picked up her sandwich and left quickly.
Vedant came down. He sat in his usual spot and looked at the table.
"Didn't Miss Saxena wake up today? Doesn't she have to go to the office?"
"She did wake up, brother, just now. She left in a hurry. She had a sandwich in her hand too. She said she had some important work and left."
Vedant also ate a little and left very quickly. But Amber had already left before he could. Vedant came back. No one else noticed, but Grandma's attention was on Vedant and Amber.
"What happened?" Grandma asked.
"No, I thought I'd have some tea." Vedant sat back in his place. Grandma was in the chair next to him.
Grandma leaned in and whispered in his ear,
"What happened? She left."
Vedant looked at Grandma and smiled, saying,
"Who are you talking about?"
He deliberately pretended not to know, but Grandma was Grandma. She was looking at Vedant with scrutinizing eyes.
There was a lot of work at the office, so Vedant didn't have time to flirt there. The office workload was immense! As soon as the office hours ended in the evening, and Amber checked the time to leave, she didn't want to come out of the office in front of Vedant. She was quickly heading towards her car.
"What's the matter, Amber, where are you going in such a hurry?" Vedant, who was standing in front of his car waiting for her, said.
"I'm going home." Amber quickly got into her car and drove home.
She wasn't giving him any opportunity to flirt with her.
"Does she really have no interest in a charming guy like me? Rich and handsome, successful; girls yearn to talk to me."
He was thinking on his way home, "I'm after her, and she's not even giving me a second look."
The next day was Sunday. Grandma was oiling Binu's hair. When she saw Amber, she said,
"Girl, listen, come here, shall I oil your hair too?"
"Listen to me carefully, Grandma, what is this 'girl'? My name is Amber. Call me by that name. If you call me 'girl,' I won't talk."
"You're quite fussy," Grandma told her.
"That's how I am." She sat on the sofa near Grandma.
"Alright, sit in front of me. Let me put oil in your hair."
"Grandma, who puts oil in your hair?" Amber asked.
"No one puts oil in mine. I'll do yours."
"Please comment on my series, and also give it a rating. Don't forget to subscribe and give me stickers."
I don't put oil on.
I'll put it on you.
Amber absolutely didn't want to put oil on. So she changed the subject.
"Honestly, Amber, no one in this house has ever said that to me before. You're the first one to think of me." Grandma was sitting on the sofa. The TV was on in front of her.
Amber started oiling Grandma's hair.
"Grandma, why don't you dress like this? Look at the serial in front of you, what a fantastic grandma she is! Look at her jewelry, look at her saree! You are very grand indeed, the whole family is afraid of you. But wear some other jewelry besides these light colors, chain around your neck, and tops in your ears." She started telling Grandma.
Vedant had stopped going anywhere because of Amber these days, as he had to impress Amber at all costs. Therefore, all his attention was focused on her. As soon as he came down the stairs and reached the ground floor, he saw Amber oiling Grandma's hair.
"Amber, after Grandma, oil my hair too. It's been many days since I've oiled it."
At his words, Grandma looked at him because Grandma used to ask the whole family to oil her hair every Sunday. But he never sat in front of her. He too sat on the sofa and started watching TV.
"Grandma, what nonsense serials do you watch?"
"Fine, whatever you do is right. My serials seem like nonsense to you." Grandma said to him angrily. "At least this outsider girl likes my serials, but you don't."
"Grandma, I was just saying that. You got angry." Grandma got up from the sofa.
"Grandma, your oil," Amber said.
"You put oil on him. I'm going to my room."
"Grandma, I'm learning. You put the oil." Amber didn't want to oil Vedant's hair under any circumstances.
"No, no, you put it on very well. I had a headache, and it stopped. You put the oil."
Vedant sat back comfortably, resting his head against the back of the sofa. Against her will, Amber started oiling his hair. Amber had just poured the oil when her phone, which was lying on the sofa, started ringing.
"Grandma, you put the oil. It's my mom's call. If I cut it, she'll be angry with me." Amber left the oil and went into the lawn, picking up her phone.
Grandma, who was going to her room, came back and started oiling Vedant's hair.
"This girl has a lot of tantrums," Grandma said, looking outside.
"You're right, Grandma. She has a lot of attitude," Vedant agreed with her.
"I think she has more attitude than you. How stubborn and full of tantrums she is." Grandma was still badmouthing Amber.
"Look at her tantrums! Nothing comes under her nose." Vedant was getting oiled by Grandma with his eyes closed, and both of them were badmouthing Amber.
"But still, she is very good," Grandma began to say. An idea had struck Grandma's mind. Neither Amber nor Vedant had any idea what she was about to do.
This Sunday afternoon, both Binu and Amber had planned to watch a movie. Vedant had been following Amber since morning. Amber wasn't giving him any chance to talk alone or flirt. As soon as Vedant found out that both friends were going out, he came to Binu.
"Come on, Binu, where are you guys going? I'm free, I'll take you."
"Really, brother?"
Amber, who was sitting there, made a plan in a minute.
"Binu," Amber said, "Let's go quickly, brother is taking us."
"We'll have to cancel the plan. Why? I forgot, tomorrow is Monday, and I haven't finished my night's work. Sir had given me a presentation to prepare."
"You can come at night and get it ready. If it's left undone, it's okay," Vedant said.
"No sir, that can't happen! Work comes first, we can still go to the movies later."
Amber went to her room without listening to anyone. Binu looked at Vedant angrily.
"Why are you getting angry at me now?"
"Why do you make her do so much work?" She also stomped her feet and went upstairs.
Vedant was standing alone in the hall the next day, looking around. Grandma was sitting in the front room, the door of whose room was open. She was watching the drama of both Vedant and Amber.
"Now I think I'll have to do something. Whatever happens, I like the girl. She will straighten out this grandson of mine. If this boy isn't controlled, who knows what he'll do. Ever since she came into this house, Vedant comes home early in the evening, and stays home even on holidays. Now I will talk to the parents of these two." Grandma happily made her grandson's happiness her own. In reality, she was unaware of what was happening.
Now I feel I have to do something myself. Whatever happens, I like the girl. She will straighten this grandson of mine out. If this boy's reins are not pulled, who knows what he will do. Ever since she came into the house, Vedant used to come home early in the evening. He would even stay home on holidays. Now, I am the one who talks to the parents of these two." Grandmother happily made her grandson's happiness her own. In reality, she was unaware of what was going on.
The next day, Vedant and Number had gone to the office. Vedant's elder brother, Rajan, and his wife, Riya, who lived in a separate apartment near their hospital, were also called. The entire family was gathered in the living room.
Everyone was looking at Grandmother's face, wondering what bomb she would drop. Everyone was scared, and no one could dissuade Grandmother. They were all asking each other with gestures.
Rajan was the first to speak, "Grandmother, why have you called us all here?"
"Absolutely, Grandmother. I have patients to see at this time," his wife Riya added.
"Oh, so your patients are more important than my words? And listen, I didn't get you married to my grandson because you would be more worried about your patients than this house. I understand we gave you permission to live separately, but that doesn't mean my word doesn't count."
"You are taking the conversation elsewhere," Beenu interjected, "Bhabhi just wants to ask you something."
"Yes, yes, I know. Only you all have work. Now Beenu is also of marriageable age," Grandmother said.
They all looked at Beenu.
"But my brothers are older than me. Vedant Bhai will get married first, then me," Beenu replied.
"That's exactly why we have gathered today."
"Have you also found a girl for Vedant Bhai?"
"Look, Grandmother, a brother's marriage cannot happen without his consent. He is not Rajan Bhai, he is Vedant Bhai," Beenu said, "You can do whatever you want with him. You know how Vedant Bhai is."
"I know very well. Just as he is stubborn, I want a girl for him who is equally stubborn and temperamental, and whom he is chasing these days."
"Chasing whom?" Varsha, who had been listening quietly until now, asked.
"He likes Amber. He's crazy about her these days," Grandmother said, making a face.
"Really?" Varsha said.
"Now I don't know how he likes her. So I know you also like Amber. Call her parents and finalize the marriage of these two."
"I'll call right away. By the way, what did she say to you?" Brijesh asked, "Amazing, Mom, she didn't tell us."
"When did she tell me? But I have sense, which you all lack."
"Mom, at least don't say that in front of my children," Brijesh said.
"There's no need to think too much now, and connect their phone and let me talk to her."
He connected Arun's phone and gave it to Lakshmi Devi. "Get on the first flight you find and come, both of you."
"Okay, but why?" Arun asked.
"Your daughter likes my grandson. You could also say, your daughter has trapped my grandson in her love. So we need to fix their marriage."
"Okay, I'll talk to Amber too," Amber's father began.
"No need to talk to anyone. You people will spoil the work that's already done. So come quietly without telling the children. Don't you want to give a surprise? You know what a surprise means, right?"
"Okay, we'll come without telling," they said.
"Let me talk to my own wife too." Grandmother spoke to Anita.
"Are you sure the children like each other?" Anita asked.
"I haven't turned gray in the sun for nothing. I know, so just do as I say quietly. Do you like Vedant for Amber?"
"Yes," Anita replied.
"Then it's fine, just come quietly. We'll discuss everything here."
Amber was by now very annoyed with Vedant. He was flirting with her. His actions were becoming unbearable because she had to work with him all day, so she had decided to talk to him clearly.
During lunchtime, as Amber was sitting in the canteen eating lunch, Vedant suddenly appeared.
"May I join your lunch?" he said, pulling up a chair and sitting next to her.
Amber looked around. This was not the right place for her to talk.
"If you want, we can order food to your office," Vedant said.
"That's right, sir. Let's go to the office. I also need to talk to you," Amber said.
"What do you need to talk about?"
"I'll tell you in your office."
They both went to the office.
"That's right, sir. Let's go to the office."
"I need to talk to you too," Amber said.
"What do you need to talk about?"
"I'll tell you in your office."
They both arrived at the office.
"If I had known earlier that you would have lunch with me in the office, I would have made special arrangements," Vedant said deliberately. "Anyway, what did you want to ask? Ask me." Vedant looked at her.
"I want to ask why you are after me? Why do you flirt with me? We've been working together for the past three years. You've given me a lot of respect, and you've taken care of me as much as an employer should. But since I've come into your home, I've seen how you behave with me. I'm folding my hands before you, sir. This is beyond my tolerance. I can leave my job if you want, but I can't tolerate this. I'm even afraid to come in front of you. When will you start flirting with me?" Amber said clearly.
Vedant was quite surprised by her straightforwardness. He hadn't thought she would be so clear in her communication. He smiled at her words.
"I'm working so hard to get you, and you're getting angry with me," Vedant said, smiling.
"You are still flirting with me." She started to get up from her seat.
"Okay, sit down. It's true, I was flirting with you."
"But why? For what?" Amber asked.
"To take revenge on you."
"Revenge for what?"
"You told Grandma that it's better to commit suicide than marry you. And I wanted to pretend to be in love with you and have you propose to me, and then I would ask you. But I didn't know you wouldn't care at all. Such a smart, handsome 😁 guy is running after you, who is also your boss." Vedant was still laughing.
"You're laughing. By the way, I didn't say all that to hurt you. Grandma thinks too much about you. She thinks every girl is after you, so I spoke rudely to her to change her perception about me. Otherwise, I had no other intention. I didn't want to insult you. But you rejected me not once, but three times, and that too in one day."
"Three times? I don't remember more."
"First, Binu asked you, then Grandma asked, and you how you responded to me each time. I didn't like it at all."
Listening to him, Amber started smiling.
"So, you wanted to take revenge on me?"
"Indeed. You never showed any interest in me. I'm running after you. I'm so handsome."
"Perhaps you're mistaken." Amber smiled and got up to leave.
"At least have some food."
"No, I wanted to clarify things. If you want me to continue working, then don't do this with me again. I liked the old Vedant Sehgal, the one who chased after me like this. I have no interest in that Vedant. I know more about you than you know yourself. I book your hotel rooms, and all the gifts your girlfriends want are bought according to my choice. Meaning, I know every little detail about you. So, it's not possible for me to believe that you've fallen in love with me. Love and Vedant Sehgal are opposite concepts. They can't go together. Amber knows this much."
Amber started to leave the office. Vedant watched her with surprise. "What a girl indeed!"
Amber started to come back. "What now?" Vedant thought.
"In your life, never tell any girl that you love her. Because anyone who knows you even a little bit won't believe it. Vedant Sehgal can only love physically, not with his heart." Amber left.
"Isn't this a bit too much? What she means is... what? Vedant Sehgal can only love physically, not with his heart." Vedant got angry at her words.
Just then, Rahul arrived.
"Sir, it's time for the meeting."
The meeting was in their office. They were going to close a deal. Amber had already reached the meeting hall before Vedant. It was a very big project, so the meeting continued until late at night.
They both returned home late that night. They had no idea what the family was cooking up. They both wanted to avoid each other. Neither of them had breakfast the next morning. They both got ready and left early.
"Neither of them had breakfast! They must be having it together at the office!" Grandma said upon seeing both of them absent from breakfast.
There was paperwork going on in the office today, and neither of them needed to come face-to-face with each other. They didn't come across each other. Vedant was very angry about Amber's remark, "Vedant Sehgal can only love physically, not with his heart."
In the evening, after work, they both left for their respective homes separately.
Paperwork was done in the office today. Both of them didn't need to see each other, and they didn't. What Amber had said, that she only loved Vedant Sehgal physically, not with her heart, had angered Vedant greatly.
In the evening, after finishing work, both left for their respective homes.
As soon as they reached home, both their families were sitting together in the hall. Vedant started going upstairs, greeting everyone. Amber, following Vedant, was happy to see her parents.
"You've given us a surprise! How did the program to visit suddenly come about?"
"There's another surprise yet."
"Vedant, you come back too." Vedant was stopped by his grandfather as he was climbing the stairs.
"What is it, Dad?"
"Please, I'm very tired." He started to go up again.
"You have such good news that all your tiredness will vanish," Grandmother said happily.
"Really? Did he come back from the CDO?"
"What's the good news?"
"Understand? Binu's wedding has been fixed. That's why I'm smiling so much," she said jokingly to Binu.
Amber was sitting between her parents right in front of him, but she didn't look at him even once. Amber knew that Vedant was angry yesterday. He was still mad at her. She truly regretted saying it like that.
"Not mine, brother, yours. Now Amber will be my sister-in-law." Vedant didn't understand.
He looked at her face.
"Oh, you idiot! We have fixed your relationship with Amber. Tell me, when should we set the engagement date?"
"What?" Both Amber and Vedant exclaimed together.
"What are you saying?" Both of them felt they had misheard.
"Now there's no need to act in front of us. You both like each other, so we have fixed the wedding," his dad said.
"Who told you?" Both said together again.
"What is there to say now? How long have you been chasing this girl?" Grandmother started getting angry.
"I don't know what misunderstanding you people have. I have no interest in this girl, nor is she my type. Most importantly, I don't want to get married right now. So, the dreams you are seeing, about my wedding, stop them right here." Vedant angrily got up and started going upstairs.
"Are you all alright in your minds?" Amber said, "And Mom and Dad, did you ask me? Why would I marry him? Never!" Amber also got up and started heading towards her room.
"This girl is such a drama queen! Now that Binu mentioned marriage to me once or twice, she has truly started dreaming of becoming Mrs. Vedant Sehgal. She must know everything and is just acting. She even won over Grandma, otherwise Grandma wouldn't have agreed. She's just acting in front of me, as if she doesn't want to. I understand everything," Vedant thought as he went into his room.
As soon as Vedant entered, his mother followed him.
"Son, tell me the truth, what's on your mind?"
"Honestly, there's nothing like that. And I don't know why you people felt so."
Anita tells him how Grandma said that both of them liked each other.
"I don't know why Grandma felt that, but honestly, there's nothing like that."
Anita came out of the room and told everyone that Amber had said that there was nothing from her side, it was possible.
"These two have fought. In two or four days, you'll see, they'll ask for the wedding themselves," Grandmother said.
Amber's parents had left on the night flight. Amber was very distressed; she didn't know what was happening to her. She wanted to take leave from the office the next day. Their deal was to be finalized in the office today, and despite not wanting to, she went to the office.
As soon as Vedant reached his office, he called Amber.
"Sir, the papers for the deal we have to sign in the evening are ready. Please check them," Amber said, placing the file on the table.
"May I know, Miss Saxena, what was that at home yesterday?"
"Ask your grandmother what that was."
"That's what I'm asking. You never liked my grandmother, yet she wants to get you married to me. What did you say to her? How were you reacting in front of me? Actually, your dream is to get married and come into my house, to become Mrs. Vedant Sehgal."
"You stay within your limits. I don't have such a dream. Your Mom and Dad called my Mom and Dad. Understand?"
"I understand everything. Girls like you... you started dreaming of settling in my house."
"I'm quitting my job. I'll email you my resignation right now," Amber said angrily.
"Fine, leave; but we have a meeting with another party in the evening. After that, feel free to leave."
"Okay, after today's meeting, I'll go wherever I want. I never leave my work unfinished."
In the evening, they went straight from the office to finalize the deal with the people from whom Vedant was buying goods.
"Will Amber really leave?"
"Is the coming evening going to bring a big storm into their lives?"
Okay, after today's meeting, I'll leave from wherever I go. I never leave my work unfinished.
They arrived at the office in the evening to deal with those people. The deal was almost finalized, so the papers were signed in ten minutes.
"Okay, now we leave," Vedant said. Vedant was in a very bad mood, and so was Amber. Both of them started to leave. Vedant went ahead. Amber followed Vedant.
"Hello Amber," someone said to Amber.
"Hello Mr. Khanna," Amber said upon seeing him.
"You are here alone?"
"You are often with Mr. Vedant."
"No, he has left. I was also about to go."
"So please sit down. Look, don't refuse. Anyway, Vedant is my friend." Amber didn't know what came to her mind, she went and sat near him. She didn't want to go with Vedant.
Reaching the car, Vedant saw that Amber hadn't followed him.
"Where did she go?" he said to himself. He went back inside the hotel to see her. He saw that she was sitting with Ravi Khanna. In his eyes, Ravi Khanna was not a good man. He was also facing a rape case. He didn't feel it was safe to leave Amber there. He went towards them.
"What are you doing here?"
"I was waiting for you in the parking area."
"My job was until this evening. Now my work is finished. I am not coming with you."
"I brought you from the office, so I will drop you at the office and you have to pick up your belongings from there. So just come with me quietly," Vedant told her.
"No problem, I will drop Miss Saxena at the office," Ravi Khanna said, interrupting.
Just then, a waiter came to them. There were two glasses on his tray. He placed a glass of juice in front of Amber and a glass of drink in front of Ravi Khanna.
"I will leave when I finish the glass of juice. You can leave if you want," Amber told him.
Vedant gestured to the waiter and asked for an empty glass. Vedant poured half of the juice into his own glass.
"I will help you finish this." Vedant drank half the glass. Amber felt that he would now take her with him. She also finished it in one gulp. Just then, Ravi Khanna's phone started ringing.
"You guys are leaving, so I have work too. I'll leave as well." He left from there.
As soon as Ravi Khanna left the hall, Vedant also started to leave Amber.
"Where are you going now?"
"I am coming with you."
"Now you come or don't, it doesn't matter. That man was not a good man, that's why I stayed."
"So you want me to dance to your tunes?" Amber wanted to vent her anger.
"What's the matter of tunes in this?" As they were talking, Amber's head started spinning. She held Vedant's hand.
"Everything is spinning. I can't see anything." Vedant made her sit on a chair.
He himself started to feel dizzy. He sat down with her.
"I can't see either."
Since Vedant often came to that hotel, the manager, who was watching from the counter, came to them.
"What happened sir?"
"Listen, we need a room."
"Okay sir, you will get it."
"Take us to the room," because neither Vedant nor Amber was getting up.
The manager took both of them to a room. "If you need anything, call, you can order on the intercom," he said and came out.
Amber felt her head was very heavy. It felt like someone was hitting her head with a hammer. She tried hard to open her eyes. As soon as she opened her eyes and looked around—
"Where am I? This is not my room." She saw someone else sleeping beside her. His shirtless back was facing her. She got up abruptly. Seeing her condition, she covered herself with the blanket.
Suddenly, she remembered what happened last night. "I drank juice and Vedant drank half. Ravi Khanna set a trap for me. How stupid I am! Vedant and I were together all night." She regretted it. "I should leave before he wakes up." She wiped the tears that came to her eyes. "He is like this. It's my fault."
She was filled with regret. She felt like crying loudly. She picked up her clothes and went into the bathroom. She didn't want to face Vedant at all. She left the room before Vedant woke up.
As soon as she got out of the hotel, she took a taxi and went to Vedant's house. As soon as she entered, she packed her bags. Amber quickly gathered her belongings and started to leave the room. Varsha, coming down the stairs, sees her.
"Oh dear, where are you going so early in the morning? Oh, you didn't come home last night and Vedant was also out last night," Varsha asked her. Varsha looked at Amber's face. Her eyes were swollen and she looked very troubled.
"I have an early morning flight. I am going to my mom and dad's. They called."
"You could have met everyone else."
"No, I... I will come again. I have very important work." She quickly left the house!
She didn't want to face Vedant.

I had a morning flight. I was going to see Mom and Dad. They had called.
I would have met everyone else.
No, I'll come back again. I have very important work. She quickly left the house!
She didn't want to face Vedant.
Vedant came home a little while after Amber left. He went to his room quietly without meeting anyone. I shouldn't have had any juice. Whatever it was, we had been together for three years. Surely she would be angry with me. Vedant was thinking about that.
Amber was probably drunk. But Vedant remembered everything from the night. "I'll talk to her and tell her it wasn't my fault," Vedant was thinking. "She won't go to the office because she said she was quitting her job. So maybe she'll be home."
He was waiting for Amber while having breakfast. But Amber didn't come. Vedant's attention was drawn towards Grandma's room.
"Did Amber go to the office?" Binu asked.
"No," Varsha started to say.
"Then call her. What is she doing?" Binu said again.
"She has gone to her Mom and Dad's."
"What?" Binu asked in surprise. Vedant was also quite surprised.
"Yes, she had a flight this morning. I told her to meet everyone and go. She said she would come back soon and left."
"But I don't know why she was upset. I'll call Anita and ask. Are they both okay?" Varsha said.
"If there was any problem, she should have told us," Brijesh said.
"That's true. I don't know what happened. Her swollen eyes, her downcast face... I wanted to stop her, but the girl wouldn't listen. She left in a hurry," Varsha said.
"Vedant, you might know... did something happen at the office... did she tell you anything?" Brijesh started asking Vedant.
"No, I don't know." What could Vedant say now? He knew the reason for her sadness.
Days started to pass. Vedant tried to call Amber, but her phone was switched off. "Strange girl. Such a big issue over what happened! Even her phone is off."
He was definitely thinking about Amber. He had spent his nights with so many girls, but Amber was different from all of them. There was no doubt that the night spent with Amber was among the best nights of his life.
Three months had passed since Amber left. Her own phone was switched off. Anita and Arun also hadn't returned. Vedant was in the office when Rahul came into his cabin and said,
"Amber's mom is here. She wants to meet you."
"Okay, call her in."
"Aunty, you guys didn't come back to India. How is Amber?"
"She's fine. I had some work with you, that's why I came. I wanted to talk to you in private."
"You guys talk, I have work, I'm leaving." Rahul left.
"Yes, Aunty, tell me what happened? I can't even talk to Amber. She has started a job there."
"I need to ask you something. Amber used to work for you. Did she have a boyfriend? Did she like anyone, love anyone?"
At her words, Vedant looked at them and smiled. "Not at all. I haven't seen anyone. Amber never told me. In these three years, no one at the office!" Vedant said. "Why? What happened? Why are you asking?" Vedant didn't understand.
"Meaning, no one knows who she is?" Anita said sadly.
"Aunty, please tell me what happened. What did her boyfriend do?"
"You are like a child of the house. What's there to hide from you? Amber is pregnant, it's been three months. We asked so much, just tell us who your boyfriend is. We'll get you married. She refused to tell. I said, get this child aborted. She refused to abort the child too. Her dad is supporting her. He says, where we live, in the culture we are in, it's common... let my daughter do what she wants. But it doesn't work like that! She has her whole life ahead of her. Children will need a father. It doesn't work like that!"
As Anita spoke suddenly, the same night came to Vedant's mind. Still, he asked them, "It's also possible that he's not from India. He could be from there. Someone around you guys."
"No, I'm sure he's from India. When she left from there, she was very upset. For two-three days, she didn't get out of bed. Then, after about a week or ten days, we found out about this," Anita sat holding her head.
"Look, son, don't tell this to anyone. We probably won't come back to India now. What will we say? Let her children be born. Then we'll see."
"Aunty, why are you saying children, children? Say child," Vedant corrected.
"No, son, it's twins. The doctor said so." Anita left. Vedant sat there thinking.
"Look, son, don't tell anyone about this."
"We probably won't be coming back to India now."
"What will they say? Let the children be born."
"Then we'll see."
"Why are you calling them auntie's children?"
"Call them children."
"No, son, they're twins. The doctor said so." Anita ji left. Vedant sat there, thinking.
He started thinking about Amber and the children. When did Anita leave?
"Seriously, I'm going to be a dad." For a moment, Vedant felt happy.
"No, that can't be."
"Amber wouldn't be so stupid as to keep the children."
"It's also possible that the children belong to someone else."
"Did Amber deliberately send her mother to me?"
"No, if that were the case, they would have spoken at my house and my family would have forced me to marry."
"It's possible this was discussed at home too."
"Are those children really mine?" Vedant's head started to ache as he pondered this.
He didn't understand what was happening. He loosened his tie and sat down, holding his head. This news was quite shocking for him. It had been 3 months since that incident. He was starting to forget about it himself.
"I should go home."
"I hope auntie didn't say anything at home either." He sat down in the hall as soon as he got home. He wanted to see if Anita auntie had met his family.
Rajan bhai had come to visit. Everyone in the family was engrossed in playing with Pihu. No one even looked at him. He watched them for a while. Then he started to go upstairs.
"Brother, won't you play with Pihu today?" Binu said, seeing him go upstairs.
He came back to the hall. He picked up Pihu. Little Pihu started playing with him, giggling. After a short while, Brijesh ji came from outside and took Pihu from his lap.
"What is my princess doing?" He started playing with Pihu.
"You should change your clothes," Varsha ji said.
"It's okay, we can change clothes later too."
"Our princess rarely visits."
"Come on Pihu, let's go to the room." Brijesh got up with her.
"That's completely wrong, Dad."
"You're taking her to the room."
"You change your clothes. Give her to me."
The whole family was so happy with Pihu, and Pihu would go from one lap to another.
Vedant thought about Amber's pregnancy.
"My children deserve such a family."
"How will she raise two children alone?"
"She'll have to work for the children too."
"Will my children be called illegitimate?" Vedant started to feel anxious.
"No, no, I can't abandon my children."
"That night, we were together, whatever the reason."
"But the truth won't change that I'm the father of the children, right?" He went to his room and made a call.
"I'm sending you a photo and biodata of a girl."
"I want complete information about this girl."
"She has a boyfriend, and I want a full report on her pregnancy."
One thing was clear: Anita auntie hadn't come home. She had only come to meet him at the office because she wanted to know about Amber's boyfriend. After a while, he changed his clothes and came downstairs.
"Brother, are you on leave today?"
"Isn't today your operation day?" Vedant asked.
"What else would I do?"
"Your sister-in-law had to go somewhere today, and her nanny wasn't available either."
"There was no emergency operation, so I changed all my plans. I thought I'd spend the whole day with my prince on this excuse," Rajan said.
"You're amazing, brother."
"You're so serious about your work."
"You changed your schedule," Vedant told Rajan.
"There's something so precious in life that you can't see anything else above it."
"Pihu is more important right now. Nothing else matters in my life."
"Not even my profession," Rajan said.
"For this profession, you rebelled at home, saying you wouldn't look after dad's business, but would become a doctor."
"Absolutely, but for Pihu, I can give up anything." He said, affectionately stroking Pihu.
"It would be good if you had a son now," Grandma interjected.
"Absolutely not."
"He has absolutely no time, and most importantly, Pihu is still very young."
"We'll see what we do after many years,"
"We don't need anyone more than this right now," Rajan said with a laugh.
"You should worry about Vedant's marriage."
"Now, if he gets married, then we'll start looking for a boy for Binu too."
"That's right, listen to me carefully, both of you."
"If you have a life partner you like, tell us."
"Otherwise, we'll find one," Varsha said.
"Your children won't come around with such sweet talk."
"When the time comes for them to get married, we'll tell them the date of their wedding," Grandma said.
At her words, Vedant smiled and looked at his mom. Truly, their mom was very sweet. She never forced anyone into anything and always listened to her children.
His thoughts turned to Amber.
"What kind of mother will she be?" He was suddenly sitting and thinking about her.
"Brother, what are you thinking?" Binu interrupted him.
Just then, Vedant's phone rang. Vedant went out into the lawn, answering the call.
"What happened? You got the information so quickly?"
"Sir, there's nothing to know about them there."
"She came from India 3 months ago."
"For a few days, she didn't even leave the house, and when she went out, she went to a doctor."
"There, it was discovered that she was pregnant."
"After that, whenever she went out, it was only to go to the doctor."
"There, she has no friends."
"She doesn't go out anywhere."
"Her parents are thinking of shifting because it's been three months, and by now, no one around knows about her pregnancy."
There is nothing to know about her. She came from India 3 months ago. For a few days, she didn't come out of the house, and when she went out, she went to a doctor. There, it was found that she is pregnant. After that, she only went out to visit the doctor. She has no friends here. She doesn't go anywhere. Her mom and dad are thinking of shifting from here because 3 months have passed, and till now, no one around knows about her pregnancy. He went back inside. The whole family was sitting together and playing with Pihu. He looked at everyone. "I have to tell you something. It's very important," Vedant said. Everyone started looking at his face. His dad thought maybe he would talk about business. "I have hidden a very big thing from all of you. I want to tell you." Everyone started looking at him in surprise. "Did you get married to someone?" his grandmother asked, "Who is the girl you married?" "Yes, I got married to someone," Vedant said. Actually, he was surprised that his grandmother understood before he said it. "Tell me openly, what do you want to say? What are you saying?" his dad started saying. Vedant's marriage was not acceptable to anyone. "Come on, Vedant, tell us. Why are you creating so much suspense?" Rajan said. "Actually, Amber and I got married without telling anyone. It was before she came to this house. We thought we would tell everyone at home slowly, and then we both had a fight." "And that fight happened before coming to this house," his grandmother said, "Now I understand. You were following her, and she was upset with you. That's why she took the room with me instead of the room upstairs. But what was the reason for her to leave you? So why are you telling us now?" his grandfather asked. "It's straightforward. Now we should bring Amber to this house. She's a very sweet girl. I like her very much," Varsha said her mind's thoughts. "At least listen to her whole story. It's not as simple as you think," his grandmother said to his mom, "So why did she leave her job and go? 3 months have passed since she left. Why did you feel the need to tell us now?" "She is still very upset with me, and most importantly, she is pregnant. She is going to be the mother of my child," Vedant said. "What are you saying? Did she call you?" Rajan asked. "No, she didn't even tell anyone that the child is mine. Anita Aunty came today. She was talking about her boyfriend. Anita Aunty is looking for the boy whose child she is. She didn't even tell my family about it in anger. They don't know that Amber and I got married. Even in this situation, she is not ready to tell anyone that she is the mother of my child. Now that we are married, the marriage can't be broken, right." "Your marriage is correct, but she is so angry with you. Can you tell the reason?" his dad asked. "Actually, she told me to stay away from all my girlfriends. She saw me with someone," Vedant said, "That's why she is very upset with me." "She did the right thing. You should have left such actions. You should have thought before getting married. If you weren't going to change your actions, why did you get married? If you wanted to get married, why did you do it secretly? When were we stopping you from getting married?" "I will tell you again in what circumstances our marriage happened. Now think about bringing her home. She won't agree easily in any way. Maybe she will also say that we didn't get married. But how can I leave my child? I also like her," Vedant said. "If you loved the girl so much, why didn't you leave the wrong actions? The girl is very good and also very stubborn. She will be right for this. Otherwise, think for yourself that how rich a boy has already married her. She could have come and sat here and said that I am going to be the mother of your child. But no. The girl is right for this," his grandmother said thoughtfully. "I am very happy that Amber is my Bhabhi," Binu said happily. "Let's book everyone's tickets. Everyone goes to pick up the daughter-in-law," his grandmother said, "Keep jewelry and saree for Varsha. Also, call Ria. The elder daughter-in-law should also be there," his grandmother told Rajan. "I will tell Rahul now," Vedant said. Everyone's evening tickets were booked to go to Amber. They were all ready to go, but would Amber agree so easily? What will happen next?
"I'll tell Rahul right now," Vedant said.
Everyone's evening tickets were booked to go to Amber.
They were all ready to go.
"You call them and ask how they are, but don't tell them anything about us coming," Grandmother told Brijesh.
"But you absolutely do not call," his grandmother told Vedant's mother.
"Why? Why can't I call?" Varsha asked in surprise.
"I'll call Anita. And along with that, I'll ask how my daughter-in-law and grandson are."
"Because they shouldn't know we are coming beforehand. We will talk once we get there. You will tell them everything in conversation, and you are already so happy," Grandmother told her.
"Okay, I won't call," Varsha said softly.
Vedant went to his mom.
"Mom, don't mind what Grandma said. She's just like that. She doesn't mean anything by it."
"I'm not minding," she said with a smile.
"I'm happy for you." She put her arms around her mother's neck.
"Mom, you are so sweet," he said.
It was a night flight. They had all left. It was an 18-19 hour journey. They reached the next evening. The Sehgal family had their own house, and also an office for their business there. They sent their luggage home. The whole family went to Amber's house.
Arun was a Canadian citizen who had moved to India to work with Brijesh and had married his Anita there. They were staying there for some paperwork because they lived there less often, and it was causing problems with their citizenship. They also had their own house there.
Anita was preparing dinner. Arun was watching TV. Amber was in her room. Then the doorbell rang. Arun paid no attention when the bell rang. When the bell rang a second time, Anita had to come from the kitchen.
"You can't even hear the bell while watching the news. You just get lost in the TV," she grumbled at Arun as she went to open the door.
As soon as she opened the door, she was surprised because Lakshmi Devi was standing there with her family.
"Why are you looking at us like this? Aren't you going to invite us in? Will you just keep staring from here?" Lakshmi Devi said.
She moved aside.
The whole family went inside. Binu and Riya had some packets in their hands, which they placed on the table.
They all sat down in the living room. Anita went inside to get water for them.
"Where is your daughter?" Lakshmi Devi asked.
"She's in her room," Arun said.
"I'll call her now."
"You should have had some sense. I didn't even know you had no brains at all," Lakshmi Devi got angry at Arun.
"What did I do?" he looked at Brijesh.
He knew Lakshmi Devi's nature, yet he couldn't understand the reason for her anger.
"That's the point, you haven't done anything. We have come to take our daughter-in-law. Where is she?"
Arun absolutely did not understand what they were talking about.
Anita had returned with the water. Anita looked towards Amber's room. Her mind started working a little.
"See, your wife understood, but you didn't. I don't know how you worked with Brijesh," Lakshmi Devi was still speaking.
Hearing the noise from the lobby outside, Amber also came out of her room. She was quite surprised. She saw the Sehgal family sitting.
"Come, come," Lakshmi Devi stood up.
"How are you, Grandmother?" Amber asked.
She smiled looking at Binu, but didn't even glance at Vedant. She started greeting everyone.
"This is how it is. You should have had some sense," she said to Amber.
"You shouldn't give up your rights. Getting married is a very big thing."
Amber began to get a slight inkling.
"No, no, this can't be. Why would he agree himself?" Amber thought.
"Maybe there's something else," she sat down with Anita.
"Which daughter-in-law are you talking about?" Arun asked.
"Now, Amber must not have told you anything. These two got married secretly and then had a fight. There's a big difference between being boyfriend-girlfriend and getting married, but where is the sense in them? I have come to take my daughter-in-law and grandson."
"I haven't married him," Amber stood up from her place and looked at Vedant.
"Why are you so angry? Please agree. See, I will do as you say. I will obey your every word. Now, let's go home," Vedant went in front of Amber and knelt down.
"What are you saying? Which marriage? What are you saying?" Amber couldn't understand what marriage he was talking about.
"Okay, if you are not married, aren't you pregnant? Aren't you going to be the mother of my child? Say that the child is not mine," Vedant said.
"Come on, sister-in-law, let go of your anger now," Binu also stood behind him.
"Tell me, Amber, this child is mine, isn't it?" Vedant said again.
"Yes, the child is yours, but the marriage..." Amber began to say.
"You are agreeing to everything, but not the marriage. See, the marriage has happened now, nothing can be done. I have come to take my daughter-in-law. Send her with me quietly."
